Az éneklőmesternek; Dávid tanítása;

Why boastest thou thyself in mischief, O mighty man? the goodness of God endureth continually.

Pentru ce te făleşti cu răutatea ta, asupritorule? Bunătatea lui Dumnezeu ţine în veci.

To the choirmaster. A Maskil of David, when Doeg, the Edomite, came and told Saul, “David has come to the house of Ahimelech.”

[abból az időből, amikor az edómi Dóég elment, és hírt vitt Saulnak, és ezt mondta neki: Dávid Ahimelek házába ment be.]

Mikor az Idumeus Dóeg eljött és hírt vitt Saulnak, és ezt mondá néki: Dávid az Akhimélek házába ment be.

The tongue deviseth mischiefs; like a sharp razor, working deceitfully.

Limba ta nu născoceşte decât răutate, ca un brici ascuţit, viclean ce eşti!

Why do you boast of evil, O mighty man? The steadfast love of God endures all the day.

Mit dicsekszel gonoszságoddal, ó, te nagy hős? Isten kegyelme szüntelen megmarad.

Mit dicsekedel gonoszságban, oh te magabíró? Az Istennek kegyelme szüntelen való!

Thou lovest evil more than good; and lying rather than to speak righteousness. Selah.

Tu iubeşti mai degrabă răul decât binele, mai degrabă minciuna decât adevărul. – (Oprire)

Your tongue plots destruction, like a sharp razor, you worker of deceit.

Ártalmamra vagy te, ármánykodó, nyelved olyan, mint az éles borotva!

Nyelved ártalmakon elmélkedik, s olyan mint az éles olló, te álnokságnak mestere!

Thou lovest all devouring words, O thou deceitful tongue.

Tu iubeşti numai cuvinte nimicitoare, limbă înşelătoare!

You love evil more than good, and lying more than speaking what is right. Selah

Inkább szereted a gonoszt, mintsem a jót; és inkább hazugságot mondasz, mint az igazságot. [Szela]

Szereted a gonoszt inkább, hogy nem a jót, és a hazugságot inkább, mint igazságot szólni. Szela.

God shall likewise destroy thee for ever, he shall take thee away, and pluck thee out of thy dwelling place, and root thee out of the land of the living. Selah.

De aceea şi Dumnezeu te va doborî pe vecie, te va apuca şi te va ridica din cortul tău, şi te va dezrădăcina din pământul celor vii. – (Oprire)

You love all words that devour, O deceitful tongue.

Szeretsz minden ártalmas beszédet, és álnok a nyelved.

The righteous also shall see, and fear, and shall laugh at him:

Cei fără prihană vor vedea lucrul acesta, se vor teme şi vor râde de el, zicând:

But God will break you down forever; he will snatch and tear you from your tent; he will uproot you from the land of the living. Selah

Romlást hoz rád Isten végleg, megragad, kigyomlál hajlékodból, és kiszaggat téged gyökerestül az élők földjéről. [Szela]

Meg is ront az Isten téged, teljesen eltakarít, kigyomlál téged a te hajlékodból, és kiszaggat téged az élők földéről. Szela.

Lo, this is the man that made not God his strength; but trusted in the abundance of his riches, and strengthened himself in his wickedness.

„Iată omul care nu lua ca ocrotitor pe Dumnezeu, ci se încredea în bogăţiile lui cele mari şi se bizuia pe răutatea lui.”

The righteous shall see and fear, and shall laugh at him, saying,

Látják ezt az igazak, és félnek, és őrajta nevetnek majd:

És látják [ezt] az igazak, és félnek, és nevetnek rajta:

But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God: I trust in the mercy of God for ever and ever.

Dar eu sunt în Casa lui Dumnezeu ca un măslin verde, mă încred în bunătatea lui Dumnezeu, în veci de veci.

“See the man who would not make God his refuge, but trusted in the abundance of his riches and sought refuge in his own destruction!”

Íme, egy olyan férfi, aki nem Istent fogadta erősségévé, hanem nagy gazdagságában bízott, és gonoszságában volt az ereje!

Ímé az a férfiú, a ki nem Istent fogadta erősségévé, hanem az ő gazdagságának sokaságában bízott, és ereje az ő gonoszságában volt!

I will praise thee for ever, because thou hast done it: and I will wait on thy name; for it is good before thy saints.

Te voi lăuda totdeauna, pentru că ai lucrat; şi, în faţa copiilor Tăi, voi nădăjdui în Numele Tău, căci este binevoitor.

But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God. I trust in the steadfast love of God forever and ever.

De én olyan vagyok, mint a zöldellő olajfa Isten házában, bízom Isten kegyelmében örökkön-örökké.

Áldalak téged örökké, hogy így tettél, és szentjeiddel együtt nevedben reménykedem, mert jó.
