Dávid tanítása; imádság a barlangban létekor.

I cried unto the LORD with my voice; with my voice unto the LORD did I make my supplication.

I poured out my complaint before him; I shewed before him my trouble.

With my voice I cry out to the LORD; with my voice I plead for mercy to the LORD.

When my spirit was overwhelmed within me, then thou knewest my path. In the way wherein I walked have they privily laid a snare for me.

Când îmi este mâhnit duhul în mine,Tu îmi cunoşti cărarea. Pe drumul pe care umblu, mi-au întins o cursă.

I pour out my complaint before him; I tell my trouble before him.

I looked on my right hand, and beheld, but there was no man that would know me: refuge failed me; no man cared for my soul.

Aruncă-Ţi ochii la dreapta şi priveşte! Nimeni nu mă mai cunoaşte, orice scăpare este pierdută pentru mine, nimănui nu-i pasă de sufletul meu.

When my spirit faints within me, you know my way! In the path where I walk they have hidden a trap for me.

I cried unto thee, O LORD: I said, Thou art my refuge and my portion in the land of the living.

Doamne, către Tine strig şi zic: „Tu eşti scăparea mea, Partea mea de moştenire pe pământul celor vii.”

Look to the right and see: there is none who takes notice of me; no refuge remains to me; no one cares for my soul.

Hozzád kiáltok, URam, és azt mondom: Te vagy oltalmam és örökségem az élők földjén.

Hívlak téged, oh Uram; [s ezt] mondom: Te vagy oltalmam [és] örökségem az élőknek földén;

Attend unto my cry; for I am brought very low: deliver me from my persecutors; for they are stronger than I.

Ia aminte la strigătele mele, căci sunt nenorocit de tot. Izbăveşte-mă de cei ce mă prigonesc, căci sunt mai tari decât mine.

I cry to you, O LORD; I say, “You are my refuge, my portion in the land of the living.”

Bring my soul out of prison, that I may praise thy name: the righteous shall compass me about; for thou shalt deal bountifully with me.

Scoate-mi sufletul din temniţă, ca să laud Numele Tău! Cei neprihăniţi vor veni să mă înconjoare, când îmi vei face bine.

Attend to my cry, for I am brought very low! Deliver me from my persecutors, for they are too strong for me!
