Hear this, all ye people; give ear, all ye inhabitants of the world:

Ascultaţi lucrul acesta, toate popoarele, luaţi aminte, toţi locuitorii lumii:

To the choirmaster. A Psalm of the Sons of Korah.

Halljátok meg ezt mind, ti népek, figyeljen e világ minden lakója,

Halljátok meg ezt mind ti népek, figyeljetek mind ti, e világ lakói!

Both low and high, rich and poor, together.

mici şi mari, bogaţi şi săraci!

Hear this, all peoples! Give ear, all inhabitants of the world,

közemberek, főemberek, gazdag és szegény egyaránt!

Akár közemberek fiai, akár főemberek fiai, együtt a gazdag és szegény.

My mouth shall speak of wisdom; and the meditation of my heart shall be of understanding.

Gura mea va vorbi cuvinte înţelepte, şi inima mea are gânduri pline de judecată.

both low and high, rich and poor together!

Szám bölcsességet beszél, szívem elmélkedése értelem.

Az én szájam bölcsességet beszél, szívemnek elmélkedése tudomány.

I will incline mine ear to a parable: I will open my dark saying upon the harp.

Eu îmi plec urechea la pildele care îmi sunt insuflate, îmi încep cântarea în sunetul harpei.

My mouth shall speak wisdom; the meditation of my heart shall be understanding.

Példabeszédre fordítom fülemet, hárfaszóval kezdem rejtvényemet.

Wherefore should I fear in the days of evil, when the iniquity of my heels shall compass me about?

Pentru ce să mă tem în zilele nenorocirii, când mă înconjoară nelegiuirea potrivnicilor mei?

I will incline my ear to a proverb; I will solve my riddle to the music of the lyre.

Miért féljek a gonosz napokban, amikor nyomorgatóim bűne vesz körül,

They that trust in their wealth, and boast themselves in the multitude of their riches;

Ei se încred în avuţiile lor şi se fălesc cu bogăţia lor cea mare.

Why should I fear in times of trouble, when the iniquity of those who cheat me surrounds me,

akik gazdagságukban bíznak, és nagy vagyonukkal dicsekszenek?

None of them can by any means redeem his brother, nor give to God a ransom for him:

Dar nu pot să se răscumpere unul pe altul, nici să dea lui Dumnezeu preţul răscumpărării.

those who trust in their wealth and boast of the abundance of their riches?

Hiszen senki sem válthatja meg testvérét, nem adhat érte váltságdíjat Istennek.

(For the redemption of their soul is precious, and it ceaseth for ever:)

Truly no man can ransom another, or give to God the price of his life,

Mivel a lélek váltsága drága, végképp le kell mondani róla;

That he should still live for ever, and not see corruption.

for the ransom of their life is costly and can never suffice,

that he should live on forever and never see the pit.

De meglátja! A bölcsek is meghalnak, a bolond és ostoba is elvész; gazdagságuk másokra marad.

Their inward thought is, that their houses shall continue for ever, and their dwelling places to all generations; they call their lands after their own names.

For he sees that even the wise die; the fool and the stupid alike must perish and leave their wealth to others.

Azt gondolják, hogy házuk örökké megmarad, és lakóhelyük nemzedékről nemzedékre; földjüket magukról nevezik el.

Nevertheless man being in honour abideth not: he is like the beasts that perish.

Dar omul pus în cinste nu dăinuie, ci este ca dobitoacele care se taie.

Their graves are their homes forever, their dwelling places to all generations, though they called lands by their own names.

This their way is their folly: yet their posterity approve their sayings. Selah.

Iată ce soartă au ei, cei plini de atâta încredere, precum şi cei ce îi urmează, cărora le plac cuvintele lor. – (Oprire)

Man in his pomp will not remain; he is like the beasts that perish.

Ez a bolondok sorsa, és követőik mégis gyönyörködnek a szavukban. [Szela]

Ez az ő sorsuk bolondság nékik; de azért gyönyörködnek szavokban az ő követőik. Szela.

Like sheep they are laid in the grave; death shall feed on them; and the upright shall have dominion over them in the morning; and their beauty shall consume in the grave from their dwelling.

Sunt duşi ca o turmă în Locuinţa morţilor, îi paşte moartea, şi în curând oamenii fără prihană îi calcă în picioare: li se duce frumuseţea, şi Locuinţa morţilor le este locaşul.

This is the path of those who have foolish confidence; yet after them people approve of their boasts. Selah

Mint a juhok, úgy kerülnek a sírba, a halál legelteti őket, és reggel már az igazak uralkodnak. Alakjukat elemészti a sír, nem lesz lakásuk.

Mint juhok, a Seolra vettetnek, a halál legelteti őket, és az igazak uralkodnak rajtok reggel; alakjokat elemészti a Seol, távol az ő lakásuktól.

But God will redeem my soul from the power of the grave: for he shall receive me. Selah.

Dar mie, Dumnezeu îmi va scăpa sufletul din Locuinţa morţilor, căci mă va lua sub ocrotirea Lui. – (Oprire)

Like sheep they are appointed for Sheol; death shall be their shepherd, and the upright shall rule over them in the morning. Their form shall be consumed in Sheol, with no place to dwell.

Csak Isten válthatja ki lelkemet a halál kezéből, mikor magához ragad engem. [Szela]

Be not thou afraid when one is made rich, when the glory of his house is increased;

Nu te teme când se îmbogăţeşte cineva şi când i se înmulţesc vistieriile casei;

But God will ransom my soul from the power of Sheol, for he will receive me. Selah

Ne félj, ha valaki meggazdagodik, ha házának kincse gyarapszik,

Ne félj, ha valaki meggazdagszik, ha megöregbül házának dicsősége;

For when he dieth he shall carry nothing away: his glory shall not descend after him.

căci nu ia nimic cu el când moare: vistieriile lui nu se coboară după el.

Be not afraid when a man becomes rich, when the glory of his house increases.

Though while he lived he blessed his soul: and men will praise thee, when thou doest well to thyself.

Să se tot creadă omul fericit în viaţă, să se tot laude cu bucuriile pe care şi le face,

For when he dies he will carry nothing away; his glory will not go down after him.

Ha életében áldottnak vallja is magát, és ha dicsérik is, hogy jót tett magával,

Ha életében áldottnak vallja is magát, s ha dicsérnek is téged, hogy jól tettél magaddal:

He shall go to the generation of his fathers; they shall never see light.

căci tot în locuinţa părinţilor săi va merge şi nu va mai vedea lumina niciodată.

For though, while he lives, he counts himself blessed— and though you get praise when you do well for yourself—

mégis atyái nemzedékéhez jut, többé sohasem lát világosságot.

[Mégis] az ő atyáinak nemzetségéhez jut, a kik soha sem látnak világosságot.

Man that is in honour, and understandeth not, is like the beasts that perish.

Omul pus în cinste, şi fără pricepere, este ca dobitoacele pe care le tai.

his soul will go to the generation of his fathers, who will never again see light.

Mert az ember, ha tisztessége van is, de nincs okossága, hasonlít az állathoz, amelyet levágnak.
