[Ének fölmenetelkor.] Sokat szorongattak engem ifjúságom óta – mondja Izráel –,

Grádicsok éneke. Sokat szorongattak engem ifjúságom óta! mondja most Izráel.

Many a time have they afflicted me from my youth, may Israel now say:

Many a time have they afflicted me from my youth: yet they have not prevailed against me.

“Greatly have they afflicted me from my youth”— let Israel now say—

Szántók szántottak hátamon, hosszan húzták barázdáikat.

The plowers plowed upon my back: they made long their furrows.

Plugarii au arat pe spinarea mea, au tras brazde lungi pe ea.

“Greatly have they afflicted me from my youth, yet they have not prevailed against me.

Igaz az ÚR! Elszaggatta a gonoszok kötelét.

Igaz az Úr! Elszaggatja a gonoszok kötelét.

The LORD is righteous: he hath cut asunder the cords of the wicked.

Domnul este drept: El a tăiat funiile celor răi.

The plowers plowed upon my back; they made long their furrows.”

Megszégyenülnek és meghátrálnak mindazok, akik Siont gyűlölik.

Megszégyenülnek és hátraszorulnak mindazok, a kik gyűlölik a Siont.

Let them all be confounded and turned back that hate Zion.

Să se umple de ruşine şi să dea înapoi toţi cei ce urăsc Sionul!

The LORD is righteous; he has cut the cords of the wicked.

May all who hate Zion be put to shame and turned backward!

Neither do they which go by say, The blessing of the LORD be upon you: we bless you in the name of the LORD.
