[A karmesternek: Dávid zsoltára.] URam, te megvizsgáltál és ismersz engem.

Az éneklőmesternek, Dávid zsoltára. Uram, megvizsgáltál engem, és ismersz.

O lord, thou hast searched me, and known me.

Doamne, Tu mă cercetezi de aproape şi mă cunoşti,

To the choirmaster. A Psalm of David.

Tudod, ha leülök vagy ha fölkelek, messziről is érted gondolatomat.

Te ismered ülésemet és felkelésemet, messziről érted gondolatomat.

Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off.

ştii când stau jos şi când mă scol, şi de departe îmi pătrunzi gândul.

O LORD, you have searched me and known me!

Ügyelsz járásomra és fekvésemre, minden utamat jól ismered.

Járásomra és fekvésemre ügyelsz, minden útamat jól tudod.

Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways.

Ştii când umblu şi când mă culc, şi cunoşti toate căile mele.

You know when I sit down and when I rise up; you discern my thoughts from afar.

Amikor még nyelvemen sincs a szó, immár egészen érted azt, URam!

Mikor még nyelvemen sincs a szó, immár egészen érted azt Uram!

For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O LORD, thou knowest it altogether.

Căci nu-mi ajunge cuvântul pe limbă, şi Tu, Doamne, îl şi cunoşti în totul.

You search out my path and my lying down and are acquainted with all my ways.

Elöl és hátul körülzártál engem, és fölöttem tartod kezedet.

Elől és hátul körülzártál engem, és fölöttem tartod kezedet.

Thou hast beset me behind and before, and laid thine hand upon me.

Tu mă înconjori pe dinapoi şi pe dinainte şi-Ţi pui mâna peste mine.

Even before a word is on my tongue, behold, O LORD, you know it altogether.

Csodálatos előttem e tudás, magasságos, nem érthetem.

Csodálatos előttem [e] tudás, magasságos, nem érthetem azt.

Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it.

O ştiinţă atât de minunată este mai presus de puterile mele: este prea înaltă ca s-o pot prinde.

You hem me in, behind and before, and lay your hand upon me.

Hová menjek lelked elől, arcod elől hová fussak?

Hová menjek a te lelked elől és a te orczád elől hova fussak?

Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence?

Unde mă voi duce departe de Duhul Tău şi unde voi fugi departe de faţa Ta?

Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high; I cannot attain it.

Ha a mennybe mennék föl, ott vagy, ha a Seolban vetnék ágyat, ott is jelen vagy.

Ha a mennybe hágok fel, ott vagy; ha a Seolba vetek ágyat, ott is jelen vagy.

If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there.

Dacă mă voi sui în cer, Tu eşti acolo; dacă mă voi culca în Locuinţa morţilor, iată-Te şi acolo;

Where shall I go from your Spirit? Or where shall I flee from your presence?

Ha a hajnal szárnyára kelnék, hogy a tenger túlsó partján időzzek,

Ha a hajnal szárnyaira kelnék, és a tenger túlsó szélére szállanék:

If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea;

dacă voi lua aripile zorilor şi mă voi duce să locuiesc la marginea mării,

If I ascend to heaven, you are there! If I make my bed in Sheol, you are there!

ott is a te kezed vezetne és a te jobbod fogna engem.

Ott is a te kezed vezérelne engem, és a te jobbkezed fogna engem.

Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me.

şi acolo mâna Ta mă va călăuzi, şi dreapta Ta mă va apuca.

If I take the wings of the morning and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea,

Ha azt mondanám: „A sötétség biztosan elborít, és éjszakává lesz körülöttem a világosság”,

Ha azt mondom: A sötétség bizonyosan elborít engem és a világosság körülöttem éjszaka lesz,

If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me.

Dacă voi zice: „Cel puţin întunericul mă va acoperi şi se va face noapte lumina dimprejurul meu!”

even there your hand shall lead me, and your right hand shall hold me.

a sötétség nem borítana el előled, és fénylene az éjszaka, mint a nappal, a sötétség olyan lenne, mint a világosság.

A sötétség sem borít el előled, és fénylik az éjszaka, mint a nappal; a sötétség olyan, mint a világosság.

Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee.

Iată că nici chiar întunericul nu este întunecos pentru Tine; ci noaptea străluceşte ca ziua, şi întunericul, ca lumina.

If I say, “Surely the darkness shall cover me, and the light about me be night,”

Bizony te alkottad veséimet, te formáltál engem anyám méhében.

Bizony te alkottad veséimet, te takargattál engem anyám méhében.

For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb.

Tu mi-ai întocmit rinichii, Tu m-ai ţesut în pântecele mamei mele:

even the darkness is not dark to you; the night is bright as the day, for darkness is as light with you.

Magasztallak, hogy oly megrendítően csodálatos lettem. Csodálatosak a te cselekedeteid, és jól tudja ezt lelkem.

Magasztallak, hogy csodálatosan megkülönböztettél. Csodálatosak a te cselekedeteid! és jól tudja ezt az én lelkem.

I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.

Te laud că sunt o făptură aşa de minunată. Minunate sunt lucrările Tale, şi ce bine vede sufletul meu lucrul acesta!

For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb.

Formám nem volt elrejtve előtted, amikor titokban formálódtam és alakultam, mintegy a föld mélyében.

Nem volt elrejtve előtted az én csontom, mikor titokban formáltattam és idomíttattam, [mintegy] a föld mélyében.

My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.

Trupul meu nu era ascuns de Tine, când am fost făcut într-un loc tainic, ţesut în chip ciudat, ca în adâncimile pământului.

I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.

Szemed látta alaktalan testemet, és könyvedben ezek mind le voltak írva, és a napok is, amelyeket rendeltél számomra, holott még egy sem volt meg közülük.

Látták szemeid az én alaktalan testemet, és könyvedben ezek mind be voltak írva: a napok is, a melyeken formáltatni fognak; holott egy sem volt még meg közülök.

Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.

Când nu eram decât un plod fără chip, ochii Tăi mă vedeau; şi în cartea Ta erau scrise toate zilele care-mi erau rânduite, mai înainte de a fi fost vreuna din ele.

My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth.

Milyen kedvesek nekem a te gondolataid, Istenem! Mily nagy azok száma!

És nékem milyen kedvesek a te gondolataid, oh Isten! Mily nagy azoknak summája!

How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them!

Cât de nepătrunse mi se par gândurile Tale, Dumnezeule, şi cât de mare este numărul lor!

Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them.

Számlálgatom őket, de több a homokszemeknél. Fölébredek, és mégis veled vagyok.

Számlálgatom őket: többek a fövénynél; felserkenek s mégis veled vagyok.

If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee.

Dacă le număr, sunt mai multe decât boabele de nisip. Când mă trezesc, sunt tot cu Tine.

How precious to me are your thoughts, O God! How vast is the sum of them!

Bárcsak elveszítené Isten a gonoszt, és a vérszomjas emberek eltávoznának tőlem!

Vajha elvesztené Isten a gonoszt! Vérszopó emberek, fussatok el tőlem!

Surely thou wilt slay the wicked, O God: depart from me therefore, ye bloody men.

O, Dumnezeule, de ai ucide pe cel rău! Depărtaţi-vă de la mine, oameni setoşi de sânge!

If I would count them, they are more than the sand. I awake, and I am still with you.

Mert gonoszul szólnak felőled, és nevedet hiába veszik.

A kik gonoszul szólnak felőled, [és nevedet] hiába veszik fel, a te ellenségeid.

For they speak against thee wickedly, and thine enemies take thy name in vain.

Ei vorbesc despre Tine în chip nelegiuit, Îţi iau Numele ca să mintă, ei, vrăjmaşii Tăi!

Oh that you would slay the wicked, O God! O men of blood, depart from me!

Ne gyűlöljem-e, URam, a téged gyűlölőket? Ne utáljam-e az ellened támadókat?

Ne gyűlöljem-é, Uram, a téged gyűlölőket? Az ellened lázadókat ne útáljam-é?

Do not I hate them, O LORD, that hate thee? and am not I grieved with those that rise up against thee?

Să nu urăsc eu, Doamne, pe cei ce Te urăsc şi să nu-mi fie scârbă de cei ce se ridică împotriva Ta?

They speak against you with malicious intent; your enemies take your name in vain.

Teljes gyűlölettel gyűlölöm őket, ellenségeimmé lettek!

Teljes gyűlölettel gyűlölöm őket, ellenségeimmé lettek!

I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them mine enemies.

Da, îi urăsc cu o ură desăvârşită; îi privesc ca pe vrăjmaşi ai mei.

Do I not hate those who hate you, O LORD? And do I not loathe those who rise up against you?

Vizsgálj meg, Istenem, ismerd meg szívemet! Próbálj meg, és ismerd meg gondolataimat!

Vizsgálj meg engem, oh Isten, és ismerd meg szívemet! Próbálj meg engem, és ismerd meg gondolataimat!

Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:

Cercetează-mă, Dumnezeule, şi cunoaşte-mi inima! Încearcă-mă şi cunoaşte-mi gândurile!

I hate them with complete hatred; I count them my enemies.

Nézd meg, hogy ártalmas úton járok-e, és vezess engem az örökkévalóság útján!

És lásd meg, ha van-e nálam a gonoszságnak valamilyen útja? és vezérelj engem az örökkévalóság útján!

And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

Vezi dacă sunt pe o cale rea, şi du-mă pe calea veşniciei!

Search me, O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts!
