Un psalm al lui David. 

1

[Dávid zsoltára.] URam, ki tartózkodhat sátradban, ki lakhat szent hegyeden?

Dávid zsoltára. Uram, kicsoda tartózkodhatik sátorodban, kicsoda lakozhatik szent hegyeden?

Lord, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill?

Doamne, cine va locui în cortul Tău? Cine va locui pe muntele Tău cel sfânt?

A Psalm of David.

Aki feddhetetlenül jár, igazságot cselekszik, és igazat szól szívében;

A ki tökéletességben jár, igazságot cselekszik, és igazat szól az ő szívében.

He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart.

– Cel ce umblă în neprihănire, cel ce face voia lui Dumnezeu şi spune adevărul din inimă.

O LORD, who shall sojourn in your tent? Who shall dwell on your holy hill?

nyelvével nem rágalmaz, nem tesz rosszat felebarátjának, és nem hoz gyalázatot rokonaira.

Nem rágalmaz nyelvével; nem tesz rosszat felebarátjának, és nem szerez gyalázatot rokonainak.

He that backbiteth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbour, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour.

Acela nu cleveteşte cu limba lui, nu face rău semenului său şi nu aruncă ocara asupra aproapelui său.

He who walks blamelessly and does what is right and speaks truth in his heart;

A semmirekellő utálatos a szemében, de az URat félőket tiszteli. Esküjét nem vonja vissza, ha kárt vall is.

A megbélyegzett útálatos az ő szemeiben, de az Urat félőket tiszteli: a ki kárára esküszik, és meg nem változtatja.

In whose eyes a vile person is contemned; but he honoureth them that fear the LORD. He that sweareth to his own hurt, and changeth not.

El priveşte cu dispreţ pe cel vrednic de dispreţuit, dar cinsteşte pe cei ce se tem de Domnul. El nu-şi ia vorba înapoi dacă face un jurământ în paguba lui.

who does not slander with his tongue and does no evil to his neighbor, nor takes up a reproach against his friend;

Nem adja pénzét uzsorára, és nem fogad el vesztegetést az ártatlan rovására. Aki így cselekszik, nem rendül meg soha.

Pénzét nem adja uzsorára, és nem vesz el ajándékot az ártatlan ellen. A ki ezeket cselekszi, nem rendül meg soha örökké.

He that putteth not out his money to usury, nor taketh reward against the innocent. He that doeth these things shall never be moved.

El nu-şi dă banii cu dobândă şi nu ia mită împotriva celui nevinovat. Cel ce se poartă aşa, nu se clatină niciodată.

in whose eyes a vile person is despised, but who honors those who fear the LORD; who swears to his own hurt and does not change;
