Ekkor így felelt a súahi Bildád:

Akkor felele a sukhi Bildád, és monda:

Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said,

Meddig szólsz még efféléket, és meddig lesz még sebes szél szád beszéde?

Meddig szólasz még efféléket, és lesz a te szádnak beszéde sebes szél?

How long wilt thou speak these things? and how long shall the words of thy mouth be like a strong wind?

„Până când vrei să vorbeşti astfel şi până când vor fi cuvintele gurii tale ca un vânt puternic?

“How long will you say these things, and the words of your mouth be a great wind?

Elferdíti-e Isten az ítéletet, avagy kiforgatja-e a Mindenható az igazságot?

Elforgatja-é Isten az ítéletet, avagy a Mindenható elforgatja-é az igazságot?

Doth God pervert judgment? or doth the Almighty pervert justice?

Oare va răsturna Dumnezeu dreptul? Sau va răsturna Cel Atotputernic dreptatea?

Does God pervert justice? Or does the Almighty pervert the right?

Ha fiaid vétkeztek ellene, gonoszságuk miatt vetette el őket.

Ha a te fiaid vétkeztek ellene, úgy az ő gonoszságuk miatt vetette el őket.

If thy children have sinned against him, and he have cast them away for their transgression;

Dacă fiii tăi au păcătuit împotriva Lui, i-a dat pe mâna păcatului.

If your children have sinned against him, he has delivered them into the hand of their transgression.

De ha te Istent keresed, és a Mindenhatóhoz könyörögsz bocsánatért,

De ha te az Istent buzgón keresed, és a Mindenhatóhoz [bocsánatért] könyörögsz;

If thou wouldest seek unto God betimes, and make thy supplication to the Almighty;

Dar tu, dacă alergi la Dumnezeu, dacă rogi pe Cel Atotputernic,

If you will seek God and plead with the Almighty for mercy,

ha tiszta és becsületes vagy, akkor bizonyosan pártodra áll, és békességessé teszi hajlékodat igazságodért.

Ha tiszta és becsületes vagy, akkor legott felserken éretted, és békességessé teszi a te igazságodnak hajlékát.

If thou wert pure and upright; surely now he would awake for thee, and make the habitation of thy righteousness prosperous.

dacă eşti curat şi fără prihană, atunci negreşit, El va veghea asupra ta şi va da înapoi fericirea locuinţei tale nevinovate.

if you are pure and upright, surely then he will rouse himself for you and restore your rightful habitation.

És ha kezdetben szegény voltál, ezután naggyá leszel.

És ha előbbi állapotod szegényes volt, ez utáni állapotod boldog lesz nagyon.

Though thy beginning was small, yet thy latter end should greatly increase.

Vechea ta propăşire va fi mică faţă de cea de mai târziu.

And though your beginning was small, your latter days will be very great.

Mert kérdezd csak meg az előző nemzedéket, és vedd fontolóra, amit atyáik kutattak föl!

Mert kérdezd meg csak az azelőtti nemzedéket, és készülj csak fel az ő atyáikról való tudakozódásra!

For enquire, I pray thee, of the former age, and prepare thyself to the search of their fathers:

Întreabă pe cei din neamurile trecute şi ia aminte la păţania părinţilor lor. –

“For inquire, please, of bygone ages, and consider what the fathers have searched out.

Mi csak tegnapiak vagyunk, és semmit sem tudunk, mert napjaink olyanok, mint az árnyék e földön.

Mert mi csak tegnapiak vagyunk és semmit nem tudunk, mert a mi napjaink csak árnyék e földön.

(For we are but of yesterday, and know nothing, because our days upon earth are a shadow:)

Căci noi suntem de ieri şi nu ştim nimic, zilele noastre pe pământ nu sunt decât o umbră. –

For we are but of yesterday and know nothing, for our days on earth are a shadow.

Nem tanítanak-e azok téged? Nem mondják-e el neked, és nem szívükből szólnak-e?

Nem tanítanak-é meg azok téged? Nem mondják-é meg néked, és nem beszélik-é meg szívök szerint néked?!

Shall not they teach thee, and tell thee, and utter words out of their heart?

Ei te vor învăţa, îţi vor vorbi şi vor scoate din inima lor aceste cuvinte:

Will they not teach you and tell you and utter words out of their understanding?

Felnövekedik-e a káka mocsár nélkül, megnyúlik-e a sás víz nélkül?

Felnövekedik-é a káka mocsár nélkül, felnyúlik-é a sás víz nélkül?

Can the rush grow up without mire? can the flag grow without water?

„Creşte papura fără baltă? Creşte trestia fără umezeală?

“Can papyrus grow where there is no marsh? Can reeds flourish where there is no water?

Még gyenge korában, ha nem is szakítják ki, minden fűnél hamarabb elszárad.

Még gyenge korában, ha fel nem szakasztják is, minden fűnél elébb elszárad.

Whilst it is yet in his greenness, and not cut down, it withereth before any other herb.

Fiind încă verde şi fără să se taie, ea se usucă mai repede decât toate ierburile.

While yet in flower and not cut down, they wither before any other plant.

Ilyen az ösvényük mindazoknak, akik elfeledkeznek Istenről, így vész el a képmutatók reménysége.

Ilyenek az ösvényeik mindazoknak, a kik Istenről elfeledkeznek, és a képmutatónak reménysége [is ]elvész.

So are the paths of all that forget God; and the hypocrite's hope shall perish:

Aşa se întâmplă tuturor celor ce uită pe Dumnezeu, şi nădejdea celui nelegiuit va pieri.

Such are the paths of all who forget God; the hope of the godless shall perish.

Szétfoszlik bizakodásuk, és bizodalmuk olyan lesz, mint a pókháló.

Mivel szétfoszol bizakodása, és bizodalma olyan lesz, mint a pókháló.

Whose hope shall be cut off, and whose trust shall be a spider's web.

Încrederea lui este zdrobită, şi sprijinul lui este o pânză de păianjen.

His confidence is severed, and his trust is a spider’s web.

Házára támaszkodik, és nem áll meg; belekapaszkodik, és nem marad meg.

Házára támaszkodik, és nem áll meg; kapaszkodik belé, és nem marad meg.

He shall lean upon his house, but it shall not stand: he shall hold it fast, but it shall not endure.

Se bizuie pe casa lui, dar nu este tare; se prinde de ea, dar nu ţine.

He leans against his house, but it does not stand; he lays hold of it, but it does not endure.

Ha bőven kap nedvességet a napfényen, indája túlnő a kerítésen.

Bő nedvességű ez a napfényen [is,] és ágazata túlnő a kertjén.

He is green before the sun, and his branch shooteth forth in his garden.

Cum dă soarele, înverzeşte, îşi întinde ramurile peste grădina sa,

He is a lush plant before the sun, and his shoots spread over his garden.

Gyökerei átfonódnak a kőhalmon, átfúródnak a sziklarétegen.

Gyökerei átfonódnak a kőhalmon; átfúródnak a szikla-rétegen.

His roots are wrapped about the heap, and seeth the place of stones.

îşi împleteşte rădăcinile printre pietre, pătrunde până în ziduri.

His roots entwine the stone heap; he looks upon a house of stones.

Ám ha kiirtják helyéről, még az is megtagadja őt: Nem láttalak!

Ámha kiirtják helyéről, megtagadja ez őt: Nem láttalak!

If he destroy him from his place, then it shall deny him, saying, I have not seen thee.

Dar dacă-l smulgi din locul în care stă, locul acesta se leapădă de el şi zice: „Nu ştiu să te fi cunoscut vreodată!”

If he is destroyed from his place, then it will deny him, saying, ‘I have never seen you.’

Íme, ez az ő pályájának öröme! Utána más hajt ki a földből.

Ímé ez az ő pályájának öröme! És más hajt ki a porból.

Behold, this is the joy of his way, and out of the earth shall others grow.

Iată, aşa sunt desfătările pe care i le aduc căile vieţii lui; apoi din acelaşi pământ răsar alţii după el.

Behold, this is the joy of his way, and out of the soil others will spring.

Bizony, nem veti meg Isten az ártatlant, és a gonoszoknak nem ad előmenetelt.

Ímé az Isten nem veti meg az ártatlant, de a gonoszoknak sem ád előmenetelt.

Behold, God will not cast away a perfect man, neither will he help the evil doers:

Nu, Dumnezeu nu leapădă pe omul fără prihană şi nu ocroteşte pe cei răi.

“Behold, God will not reject a blameless man, nor take the hand of evildoers.

Megtölti még szádat nevetéssel és ajkaidat vigassággal.

Még betölti szádat nevetéssel, és ajakidat vigassággal.

Till he fill thy mouth with laughing, and thy lips with rejoicing.

Ba încă, El îţi umple gura cu strigăte de bucurie, şi buzele cu cântări de veselie.

He will yet fill your mouth with laughter, and your lips with shouting.

Gyűlölőid szégyenbe öltöznek, és a gonoszok sátra megsemmisül.

Gyűlölőid szégyenbe öltöznek, és a gonoszok sátora megsemmisül.

They that hate thee shall be clothed with shame; and the dwelling place of the wicked shall come to nought.

Vrăjmaşii tăi vor fi acoperiţi de ruşine, iar cortul celor răi va pieri.”

Those who hate you will be clothed with shame, and the tent of the wicked will be no more.”
