Nos, Jób, halld meg szavaimat, és vedd füledbe minden beszédemet!

No azért halld meg csak Jób az én szavaimat, és vedd füledbe minden beszédemet!

Wherefore, Job, I pray thee, hear my speeches, and hearken to all my words.

Acum dar, Iov, ascultă cuvântările mele, ia aminte la toate cuvintele mele!

“But now, hear my speech, O Job, and listen to all my words.

Íme, most már megnyitom a számat, már nyelvem hegyén van a szó.

Ímé, megnyitom már az én szájamat, és a beszéd nyelvem alatt van már.

Behold, now I have opened my mouth, my tongue hath spoken in my mouth.

Iată, deschid gura şi mi se mişcă limba în cerul gurii.

Behold, I open my mouth; the tongue in my mouth speaks.

Őszinte szívvel szólok, és amit ajkam tud, azt tisztán hirdeti.

Igaz szívből [származnak] beszédeim, tiszta tudományt hirdetnek ajkaim.

My words shall be of the uprightness of my heart: and my lips shall utter knowledge clearly.

Cu curăţie de inimă voi vorbi, buzele mele vor spune adevărul curat:

My words declare the uprightness of my heart, and what my lips know they speak sincerely.

Isten lelke alkotott engem, és a Mindenható lehelete éltet.

Az Istennek lelke teremtett engem, és a Mindenhatónak lehellete adott nékem életet.

The spirit of God hath made me, and the breath of the Almighty hath given me life.

Duhul lui Dumnezeu m-a făcut, şi suflarea Celui Atotputernic îmi dă viaţă.

The Spirit of God has made me, and the breath of the Almighty gives me life.

Ha tudsz, cáfolj meg, készülj föl, és állj ki ellenem!

Ha tudsz, czáfolj meg; készülj fel ellenem és állj elő!

If thou canst answer me, set thy words in order before me, stand up.

Dacă poţi, răspunde-mi, apără-ţi pricina, fii gata!

Answer me, if you can; set your words in order before me; take your stand.

Íme, én is olyan vagyok Istennél, mint te; agyagból formáltattam én is.

Ímé, én szintúgy Istené vagyok, mint te; sárból formáltattam én is.

Behold, I am according to thy wish in God's stead: I also am formed out of the clay.

Înaintea lui Dumnezeu eu sunt semenul tău, şi eu, ca şi tine, am fost făcut din noroi.

Behold, I am toward God as you are; I too was pinched off from a piece of clay.

A tőlem való félelem ne rémítsen meg; kezem nem lesz súlyos rajtad.

Ímé, a tőlem való félelem meg ne háborítson; kezem nem lészen súlyos rajtad.

Behold, my terror shall not make thee afraid, neither shall my hand be heavy upon thee.

Astfel frica de mine nu te va tulbura, şi greutatea mea nu te va copleşi.

Behold, no fear of me need terrify you; my pressure will not be heavy upon you.

Csak az imént mondtad fülem hallatára, hallottam szavadat:

Csak az imént mondtad fülem hallatára, hallottam a beszédnek hangját:

Surely thou hast spoken in mine hearing, and I have heard the voice of thy words, saying,

Dar tu ai spus în auzul meu, şi am auzit sunetul cuvintelor tale:

“Surely you have spoken in my ears, and I have heard the sound of your words.

Tiszta vagyok, bűntelen, mocsok nélküli: nincsen bennem vétek.

Tiszta vagyok, fogyatkozás nélkül: mocsoktalan vagyok, bűn nincsen bennem.

I am clean without transgression, I am innocent; neither is there iniquity in me.

„Sunt curat, sunt fără păcat, sunt fără prihană, nu este fărădelege în mine.

You say, ‘I am pure, without transgression; I am clean, and there is no iniquity in me.

Íme, Isten mégis talál vádat ellenem, ellenségének tart engem!

Ímé, vádakat talál ki ellenem, ellenségének tart engem!

Behold, he findeth occasions against me, he counteth me for his enemy,

Şi Dumnezeu caută pricină de ură împotriva mea, mă socoteşte vrăjmaş al Lui;

Behold, he finds occasions against me, he counts me as his enemy,

Béklyóba veti lábamat, és szemmel tartja minden ösvényemet.

Békóba veti lábaimat, és őrzi minden ösvényemet.

He putteth my feet in the stocks, he marketh all my paths.

îmi pune picioarele în butuci, îmi pândeşte toate mişcările.”

he puts my feet in the stocks and watches all my paths.’

Íme, ebben nincsen igazad – ezt felelem neked –, mert Isten nagyobb az embernél!

Ímé, ebben nincsen igazad - azt felelem néked - mert nagyobb az Isten az embernél!

Behold, in this thou art not just: I will answer thee, that God is greater than man.

Îţi voi răspunde că aici n-ai dreptate, căci Dumnezeu este mai mare decât omul.

“Behold, in this you are not right. I will answer you, for God is greater than man.

Miért perelsz vele? Azért, mert egyetlen beszédre sem felelt?

Miért perelsz vele? Azért, hogy egyetlen beszédedre sem felelt?

Why dost thou strive against him? for he giveth not account of any of his matters.

Vrei dar să te cerţi cu El, pentru că nu dă socoteală fiecăruia de faptele Lui?

Why do you contend against him, saying, ‘He will answer none of man’s words’?

Pedig Isten szól egyszer vagy kétszer is, de nem törődnek vele.

Hiszen szól az Isten egyszer vagy kétszer is, de nem ügyelnek rá!

For God speaketh once, yea twice, yet man perceiveth it not.

Dumnezeu vorbeşte însă, când într-un fel, când într-altul, dar omul nu ia seama.

For God speaks in one way, and in two, though man does not perceive it.

Álomban, éjjeli látomásban, amikor mély álom száll az emberre, és amikor fekvőhelyén szendereg,

Álomban, éjjeli látomásban, mikor mély álom száll az emberre, és mikor ágyasházokban szenderegnek;

In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falleth upon men, in slumberings upon the bed;

El vorbeşte prin vise, prin vedenii de noapte, când oamenii sunt cufundaţi într-un somn adânc, când dorm în patul lor.

In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls on men, while they slumber on their beds,

akkor nyitja meg az ember fülét, és megpecsételi intelmeit.

Akkor nyitja meg az emberek fülét, és megpecsételi megintetésökkel.

Then he openeth the ears of men, and sealeth their instruction,

Atunci El le dă înştiinţări şi le întipăreşte învăţăturile Lui,

then he opens the ears of men and terrifies them with warnings,

Így fordítja el az embert a rossz cselekedettől, és így rejti el a kevélységet az ember elől.

Hogy eltérítse az embert a [rossz] cselekedettől, és elrejtse a kevélységet a férfi elől.

That he may withdraw man from his purpose, and hide pride from man.

ca să abată pe om de la rău şi să-l ferească de mândrie,

that he may turn man aside from his deed and conceal pride from a man;

Visszatartja lelkét a sírtól és életét attól, hogy fegyver járja át.

Visszatartja lelkét a romlástól, és életét hogy azt fegyver ne járja át.

He keepeth back his soul from the pit, and his life from perishing by the sword.

ca să-i păzească sufletul de groapă şi viaţa de loviturile sabiei.

he keeps back his soul from the pit, his life from perishing by the sword.

Fekvőhelyén megfenyíti fájdalommal és csontjai szüntelen háborgásával.

Fájdalommal is bünteti az ő ágyasházában, és csontjainak szüntelen való háborgásával.

He is chastened also with pain upon his bed, and the multitude of his bones with strong pain:

Şi prin durere este mustrat omul în culcuşul lui, când o luptă necurmată îi frământă oasele.

“Man is also rebuked with pain on his bed and with continual strife in his bones,

Úgy, hogy megundorodik az ételtől, és lelke megutálja kedves ételét.

Úgy, hogy az ő ínye undorodik az ételtől, és lelke az ő kedves ételétől.

So that his life abhorreth bread, and his soul dainty meat.

Atunci îi este greaţă de pâine, chiar şi de bucatele cele mai alese.

so that his life loathes bread, and his appetite the choicest food.

Húsa szemlátomást leaszik róla; csontjai, amelyeket nem lehetett látni, most kiállnak.

His flesh is consumed away, that it cannot be seen; and his bones that were not seen stick out.

Carnea i se prăpădeşte şi piere, oasele care nu i se vedeau rămân goale;

His flesh is so wasted away that it cannot be seen, and his bones that were not seen stick out.

Közeleg lelke a sírhoz és élete a halottakhoz.

És lelke közelget a sírhoz, s élete a halál angyalaihoz.

Yea, his soul draweth near unto the grave, and his life to the destroyers.

sufletul i se apropie de groapă, şi viaţa de vestitorii morţii.

His soul draws near the pit, and his life to those who bring death.

Ha van mellette közbenjáró angyal, csak egy is a sok közül, hogy tudassa az emberrel kötelességét,

Ha van mellette magyarázó angyal, egy az ezer közül, hogy az emberrel tudassa kötelességét;

If there be a messenger with him, an interpreter, one among a thousand, to shew unto man his uprightness:

Dar dacă se găseşte un înger mijlocitor pentru el, unul din miile acelea care vestesc omului calea pe care trebuie s-o urmeze,

If there be for him an angel, a mediator, one of the thousand, to declare to man what is right for him,

akkor Isten megkönyörül rajta, és ezt mondja: Szabadítsd meg, hogy ne szálljon a sírba, mert megkaptam a váltságdíjat!

És [az Isten] könyörül rajta, és azt mondja: Szabadítsd meg őt, hogy ne szálljon a sírba; váltságdíjat találtam!

Then he is gracious unto him, and saith, Deliver him from going down to the pit: I have found a ransom.

Dumnezeu Se îndură de el şi zice îngerului: „Izbăveşte-l, ca să nu se coboare în groapă; am găsit un preţ de răscumpărare pentru el!”

and he is merciful to him, and says, ‘Deliver him from going down into the pit; I have found a ransom;

Akkor teste megfiatalodik, erőtől duzzad; újrakezdi ifjúságának napjait.

Akkor teste fiatal, erőtől duzzad, újra kezdi ifjúságának napjait.

His flesh shall be fresher than a child's: he shall return to the days of his youth:

Şi atunci carnea lui se face mai fragedă ca în copilărie, se întoarce la zilele tinereţii lui.

let his flesh become fresh with youth; let him return to the days of his youthful vigor’;

Imádkozik Istenhez, és ő kegyelmébe veszi, hogy nézhesse arcát nagy örömmel, és visszaadja az embernek az ő igazságát.

Imádkozik Istenhez és ő kegyelmébe veszi, hogy az ő színét nézhesse nagy örömmel, és az embernek visszaadja az ő igazságát.

He shall pray unto God, and he will be favourable unto him: and he shall see his face with joy: for he will render unto man his righteousness.

Se roagă lui Dumnezeu, şi Dumnezeu îi este binevoitor, îl lasă să-I vadă faţa cu bucurie şi-i dă înapoi nevinovăţia.

then man prays to God, and he accepts him; he sees his face with a shout of joy, and he restores to man his righteousness.

Ő pedig az emberek előtt énekel, és ezt mondja: Vétkeztem, mert elferdítettem az igazságot, de Isten nem eszerint fizetett meg nekem.

Az emberek előtt énekel és mondja: Vétkeztem és az igazat elferdítettem vala, de nem e szerint fizetett meg nékem;

He looketh upon men, and if any say, I have sinned, and perverted that which was right, and it profited me not;

Atunci el cântă înaintea oamenilor şi zice: „Am păcătuit, am călcat dreptatea, şi n-am fost pedepsit după faptele mele;

He sings before men and says: ‘I sinned and perverted what was right, and it was not repaid to me.

Megváltotta lelkemet a sírba szállástól, és egész valóm a világosságban gyönyörködik.

Megváltotta lelkemet a sírba szállástól, és egész valóm a világosságot nézi.

He will deliver his soul from going into the pit, and his life shall see the light.

Dumnezeu mi-a izbăvit sufletul ca să nu intre în groapă, şi viaţa mea vede lumina!”

He has redeemed my soul from going down into the pit, and my life shall look upon the light.’

Íme, mindezt kétszer-háromszor is megcselekszi Isten az emberrel,

Ímé, mindezt kétszer, háromszor cselekszi Isten az emberrel,

Lo, all these things worketh God oftentimes with man,

Iată, acestea le face Dumnezeu, de două ori, de trei ori, omului,

“Behold, God does all these things, twice, three times, with a man,

és visszahozza lelkét a sírtól, hogy ráragyogjon az élet világossága.

Hogy megmentse lelkét a sírtól, hogy világoljon az élet világosságával.

To bring back his soul from the pit, to be enlightened with the light of the living.

ca să-l ridice din groapă, ca să-l lumineze cu lumina celor vii.

to bring back his soul from the pit, that he may be lighted with the light of life.

Figyelj, Jób, és hallgass meg engem. Hallgass, hadd szóljak én!

Figyelj Jób, [és] hallgass meg engem; hallgass, hadd szóljak én!

Mark well, O Job, hearken unto me: hold thy peace, and I will speak.

Ia aminte, Iov, şi ascultă-mă! Taci, şi voi vorbi!

Pay attention, O Job, listen to me; be silent, and I will speak.

Ha van mit mondanod, cáfolj meg! Szólj, mert igen szeretnék igazat adni neked.

Ha van mit mondanod, czáfolj meg; szólj, mert igen szeretném a te igazságodat.

If thou hast anything to say, answer me: speak, for I desire to justify thee.

Dacă ai ceva de spus, răspunde-mi! Vorbeşte, căci aş vrea să-ţi dau dreptate.

If you have any words, answer me; speak, for I desire to justify you.

Ha pedig nincs, hallgass rám. Hallgass, és én bölcsességre tanítalak!

Ha [pedig] nincs, hallgass meg engem, hallgass és megtanítlak téged a bölcseségre!

If not, hearken unto me: hold thy peace, and I shall teach thee wisdom.

Dacă n-ai nimic de zis, ascultă-mă! Taci, şi te voi învăţa înţelepciunea.”

If not, listen to me; be silent, and I will teach you wisdom.”
