Élt Úc földjén egy ember, akinek Jób volt a neve. Ez az ember feddhetetlen, igaz, istenfélő volt, és kerülte a rosszat.

Vala Úz földén egy ember, a kinek Jób vala a neve. Ez az ember feddhetetlen, igaz, istenfélő vala és bűn-gyűlölő.

There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil.

Era în ţara Uţ un om care se numea Iov. Şi omul acesta era fără prihană şi curat la suflet. El se temea de Dumnezeu şi se abătea de la rău.

There was a man in the land of Uz whose name was Job, and that man was blameless and upright, one who feared God and turned away from evil.

Hét fia és három leánya született.

Születék pedig néki hét fia és három leánya.

And there were born unto him seven sons and three daughters.

I s-au născut şapte fii şi trei fete.

There were born to him seven sons and three daughters.

Hétezer juh, háromezer teve és ötszáz iga ökör és ötszáz szamár volt a jószága. Szolgája is igen sok volt, és ez a férfiú nagyobb volt kelet minden fiánál.

És vala az ő marhája: hétezer juh, háromezer teve és ötszáz igabarom és ötszáz szamár; cselédje is igen sok vala, és ez a férfiú nagyobb vala keletnek minden fiánál.

His substance also was seven thousand sheep, and three thousand camels, and five hundred yoke of oxen, and five hundred she asses, and a very great household; so that this man was the greatest of all the men of the east.

Avea şapte mii de oi, trei mii de cămile, cinci sute de perechi de boi, cinci sute de măgăriţe şi un foarte mare număr de slujitori. Şi omul acesta era cel mai cu vază din toţi locuitorii Răsăritului.

He possessed 7,000 sheep, 3,000 camels, 500 yoke of oxen, and 500 female donkeys, and very many servants, so that this man was the greatest of all the people of the east.

Fiai eljártak egymáshoz, és vendégséget szereztek otthonukban, ki-ki a maga napján. Üzentek, és meghívták három húgukat is, hogy együtt egyenek és igyanak velük.

Eljártak vala pedig az ő fiai [egymáshoz] és vendégséget szerzének otthon, kiki a maga napján. Elküldtek és meghívták vala az ő három hugokat is, hogy együtt egyenek és igyanak velök.

And his sons went and feasted in their houses, every one his day; and sent and called for their three sisters to eat and to drink with them.

Fiii săi se duceau unii la alţii şi dădeau, rând pe rând, câte un ospăţ. Şi pofteau şi pe cele trei surori ale lor să mănânce şi să bea împreună cu ei.

His sons used to go and hold a feast in the house of each one on his day, and they would send and invite their three sisters to eat and drink with them.

Mikor pedig a vendégség napjai sorra lejártak, elküldött értük Jób, és megszentelte őket. Korán reggel fölkelt, és égőáldozatot mutatott be mindnyájuk száma szerint. Mert ezt mondta Jób: Hátha vétkeztek a fiaim, és káromolták Istent szívükben! Így tett Jób minden alkalommal.

Mikor pedig a vendégség napjai sorra lejártak vala, elkülde értök Jób és megszentelé őket, és jóreggel felserkene és áldozik vala égőáldozattal mindnyájuk száma szerint; mert ezt mondja vala Jób: Hátha vétkeztek az én fiaim és gonoszt gondoltak az Isten ellen az ő szivökben! Így cselekedik vala Jób minden napon.

And it was so, when the days of their feasting were gone about, that Job sent and sanctified them, and rose up early in the morning, and offered burnt offerings according to the number of them all: for Job said, It may be that my sons have sinned, and cursed God in their hearts. Thus did Job continually.

Şi, după ce treceau zilele de ospăţ, Iov chema şi sfinţea pe fiii săi: se scula dis-de-dimineaţă şi aducea pentru fiecare din ei câte o ardere de tot. Căci zicea Iov: „Poate că fiii mei au păcătuit şi au supărat pe Dumnezeu în inima lor.” Aşa avea Iov obicei să facă.

And when the days of the feast had run their course, Job would send and consecrate them, and he would rise early in the morning and offer burnt offerings according to the number of them all. For Job said, “It may be that my children have sinned, and cursed God in their hearts.” Thus Job did continually.

Történt egy napon, hogy eljöttek az istenfiak, hogy az ÚR színe elé járuljanak, és megjelent a Sátán is közöttük.

Lőn pedig egy napon, hogy eljövének az Istennek fiai, hogy udvaroljanak az Úr előtt; és eljöve a Sátán is közöttök.

Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them.

Fiii lui Dumnezeu au venit într-o zi de s-au înfăţişat înaintea Dom nului. Şi a venit şi Satana în mijlocul lor.

Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan also came among them.

Az ÚR azt kérdezte a Sátántól: Honnan jössz? A Sátán így felelt az ÚRnak: Körülkerültem és át- meg átjártam a földet.

És monda az Úr a Sátánnak: Honnét jösz? És felele a Sátán az Úrnak és monda: Körülkerültem és át meg át jártam a földet.

And the LORD said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.

Domnul a zis Satanei: „De unde vii?” Şi Satana a răspuns Domnului: „De la cutreierarea pământului şi de la plimbarea pe care am făcut-o pe el.”

The LORD said to Satan, “From where have you come?” Satan answered the LORD and said, “From going to and fro on the earth, and from walking up and down on it.”

Az ÚR azt mondta a Sátánnak: Észrevetted szolgámat, Jóbot? Bizony nincs hozzá hasonló a földön: feddhetetlen, igaz, istenfélő, és kerüli a rosszat.

És monda az Úr a Sátánnak: Észrevetted-é az én szolgámat, Jóbot? Bizony nincs hozzá hasonló a földön: feddhetetlen, igaz, istenfélő, és bűngyűlölő.

And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil?

Domnul a zis Satanei: „Ai văzut pe robul Meu Iov? Nu este nimeni ca el pe pământ. Este un om fără prihană şi curat la suflet, care se teme de Dumnezeu şi se abate de la rău.”

And the LORD said to Satan, “Have you considered my servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, who fears God and turns away from evil?”

A Sátán így felelt az ÚRnak: Avagy ok nélkül féli Jób az Istent?

Felele pedig az Úrnak a Sátán, és monda: Avagy ok nélkül féli-é Jób az Istent?

Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, Doth Job fear God for nought?

Şi Satana a răspuns Domnului: „Oare degeaba se teme Iov de Dumnezeu?

Then Satan answered the LORD and said, “Does Job fear God for no reason?

Nem te vetted-e körül őt magát, házát és mindenét, amije van? Keze munkáját megáldottad, jószága igen megszaporodott e földön.

Nem te vetted-é körül őt magát, házát és mindenét, a mije van? Keze munkáját megáldottad, marhája igen elszaporodott e földön.

Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land.

Nu l-ai ocrotit Tu pe el, casa lui şi tot ce este al lui? Ai binecuvântat lucrul mâinilor lui, şi turmele lui acoperă ţara.

Have you not put a hedge around him and his house and all that he has, on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land.

De bocsássad csak rá a kezedet, sújts le vele mindarra, ami az övé, vajon akkor nem átkoz-e meg téged szemtől szembe?!

De bocsássad csak rá a te kezedet, verd meg mindazt, a mi az övé, avagy nem átkoz-é meg szemtől-szembe téged?!

But put forth thine hand now, and touch all that he hath, and he will curse thee to thy face.

Dar ia întinde-Ţi mâna şi atinge-Te de tot ce are, şi sunt încredinţat că Te va blestema în faţă.”

But stretch out your hand and touch all that he has, and he will curse you to your face.”

Az ÚR pedig azt mondta a Sátánnak: Íme, mindazt, amije van, a kezedbe adom, csak rá magára nem nyújthatod ki a kezedet. Ekkor kiment a Sátán az ÚR elől.

Az Úr pedig monda a Sátánnak: Ímé, mindazt, a mije van, kezedbe adom; csak ő magára ne nyujtsd ki kezedet. És kiméne a Sátán az Úr elől.

And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the LORD.

Domnul a zis Satanei: „Iată, îţi dau pe mână tot ce are, numai asupra lui să nu întinzi mâna.” Şi Satana a plecat dinaintea Domnului.

And the LORD said to Satan, “Behold, all that he has is in your hand. Only against him do not stretch out your hand.” So Satan went out from the presence of the LORD.

Történt egy napon, hogy fiai és leányai elsőszülött bátyjuk házában ettek, és bort ittak.

Lőn pedig egy napon, hogy az ő fiai és leányai esznek és bort isznak vala az ő elsőszülött bátyjoknak házában.

And there was a day when his sons and his daughters were eating and drinking wine in their eldest brother's house:

Într-o zi, pe când fiii şi fiicele lui Iov mâncau şi beau vin în casa fratelui lor cel întâi născut,

Now there was a day when his sons and daughters were eating and drinking wine in their oldest brother’s house,

Akkor követ jött Jóbhoz, és ezt mondta: Az ökrök szántottak, a szamarak pedig mellettük legelésztek.

És követ jöve Jóbhoz, és monda: Az ökrök szántanak, a szamarak pedig mellettök legelésznek vala.

And there came a messenger unto Job, and said, The oxen were plowing, and the asses feeding beside them:

a venit la Iov un sol, care a zis: „Boii arau şi măgăriţele păşteau lângă ei.

and there came a messenger to Job and said, “The oxen were plowing and the donkeys feeding beside them,

A sébaiak azonban rajtuk ütöttek, és elhajtották azokat, a szolgákat pedig fegyverrel ölték meg. Csak én magam menekültem meg, hogy hírt hozzak neked.

De a Sabeusok rajtok ütének és elhajták azokat, a szolgákat pedig fegyverrel ölék meg. Csak én magam szaladék el, hogy hírt adjak néked.

And the Sabeans fell upon them, and took them away; yea, they have slain the servants with the edge of the sword; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee.

Şi s-au aruncat nişte Sabeeni asupra lor, i-au luat şi au trecut pe slujitori prin ascuţişul sabiei. Numai eu am scăpat, ca să-ţi dau de ştire.”

and the Sabeans fell upon them and took them and struck down the servants with the edge of the sword, and I alone have escaped to tell you.”

Még ez beszélt, amikor jött egy másik, és azt mondta: Isten tüze hullott le az égből, és megégette a juhokat és a szolgákat, és megemésztette őket. Csak én magam menekültem el, hogy hírt hozzak neked.

Még szól vala ez, mikor jöve egy másik, és monda: Istennek tüze esék le az égből, és megégeté a juhokat és a szolgákat, és megemészté őket. Csak én magam szaladék el, hogy hírt adjak néked.

While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, The fire of God is fallen from heaven, and hath burned up the sheep, and the servants, and consumed them; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee.

Pe când vorbea el încă, a venit un altul şi a zis: „Focul lui Dumnezeu a căzut din cer şi a aprins oile şi pe slujitorii tăi şi i-a ars de tot. Numai eu am scăpat, ca să-ţi dau de ştire.”

While he was yet speaking, there came another and said, “The fire of God fell from heaven and burned up the sheep and the servants and consumed them, and I alone have escaped to tell you.”

Még ez beszélt, amikor jött egy másik, és azt mondta: A káldeusok három csapattal rajtaütöttek a tevéken, és elhajtották azokat, a szolgákat pedig fegyverrel ölték meg. Csak én magam menekültem meg, hogy hírt hozzak neked.

Még ez is szól vala, mikor jöve egy másik, és monda: A Káldeusok három csapatot alkotának és ráütének a tevékre, és elhajták azokat; a szolgákat pedig fegyverrel ölék meg, csak én magam szaladék el, hogy hírt adjak néked.

While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, The Chaldeans made out three bands, and fell upon the camels, and have carried them away, yea, and slain the servants with the edge of the sword; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee.

Pe când vorbea el încă, a venit un altul şi a zis: „Nişte Haldeeni, înşiraţi în trei cete, s-au aruncat asupra cămilelor, le-au luat şi au trecut pe slujitori prin ascuţişul sabiei. Numai eu am scăpat, ca să-ţi dau de ştire.”

While he was yet speaking, there came another and said, “The Chaldeans formed three groups and made a raid on the camels and took them and struck down the servants with the edge of the sword, and I alone have escaped to tell you.”

Még ez beszélt, amikor jött egy másik, és azt mondta: Fiaid és leányaid ettek, és bort ittak elsőszülött bátyjuk házában.

Még ez is szól vala, mikor jöve egy másik, és monda: A te fiaid és leányaid esznek és bort isznak vala az ő elsőszülött bátyjoknak házában;

While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, Thy sons and thy daughters were eating and drinking wine in their eldest brother's house:

Pe când vorbea el încă, a venit un altul şi a zis: „Fiii tăi şi fiicele tale mâncau şi beau vin în casa fratelui lor întâi născut.

While he was yet speaking, there came another and said, “Your sons and daughters were eating and drinking wine in their oldest brother’s house,

És íme, nagy szél támadt a puszta felől, megrendítette a ház négy sarkát, az rászakadt a gyermekekre, és meghaltak. Csak én magam menekültem meg, hogy hírt hozzak neked.

És ímé nagy szél támada a puszta felől, megrendíté a ház négy szegeletét, és rászakada az a gyermekekre és meghalának. Csak én magam szaladék el, hogy hírt adjak néked.

And, behold, there came a great wind from the wilderness, and smote the four corners of the house, and it fell upon the young men, and they are dead; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee.

Şi deodată, a venit un vânt mare de dincolo de pustiu şi a izbit în cele patru colţuri ale casei: casa s-a prăbuşit peste tineri, şi au murit. Şi am scăpat numai eu, ca să-ţi dau de ştire.”

and behold, a great wind came across the wilderness and struck the four corners of the house, and it fell upon the young people, and they are dead, and I alone have escaped to tell you.”

Akkor fölkelt Jób, megszaggatta a köntösét, megborotválta a fejét, a földre esett, leborult,

Akkor felkele Jób, megszaggatá köntösét, megberetválá a fejét, és a földre esék és leborula.

Then Job arose, and rent his mantle, and shaved his head, and fell down upon the ground, and worshipped,

Atunci Iov s-a sculat, şi-a sfâşiat mantaua şi şi-a tuns capul. Apoi, aruncându-se la pământ, s-a închinat

Then Job arose and tore his robe and shaved his head and fell on the ground and worshiped.

és azt mondta: Mezítelen jöttem ki anyám méhéből, és mezítelen térek vissza. Az ÚR adta, az ÚR vette el. Áldott legyen az ÚR neve!

És monda: Mezítelen jöttem ki az én anyámnak méhéből, és mezítelen térek oda, vissza. Az Úr adta, az Úr vette el. Áldott legyen az Úrnak neve!

And said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD.

şi a zis: „Gol am ieşit din pântecele mamei mele şi gol mă voi întoarce în sânul pământului. Domnul a dat şi Domnul a luat – binecuvântat fie Numele Domnului!”

And he said, “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return. The LORD gave, and the LORD has taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD.”

Mindezekben nem vétkezett Jób, és Isten ellen semmi helytelen dolgot nem cselekedett.

Mindezekben nem vétkezék Jób, és Isten ellen semmi illetlent nem cselekedék.

In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly.

În toate acestea, Iov n-a păcătuit deloc şi n-a vorbit nimic necuviincios împotriva lui Dumnezeu.

In all this Job did not sin or charge God with wrong.
