Történt egy napon, hogy eljöttek az istenfiak, hogy az ÚR színe elé járuljanak. Eljött velük a Sátán is, hogy az ÚR színe elé járuljon.

Lőn pedig, hogy egy napon eljövének az Istennek fiai, hogy udvaroljanak az Úr előtt. Eljöve a Sátán is közöttök, hogy udvaroljon az Úr előtt.

Again there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them to present himself before the LORD.

Fiii lui Dumnezeu au venit într-o zi de s-au înfăţişat înaintea Domnului. Şi a venit şi Satana în mijlocul lor şi s-a înfăţişat înaintea Domnului.

Again there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan also came among them to present himself before the LORD.

Az ÚR azt kérdezte a Sátántól: Honnan jössz? A Sátán így felelt az ÚRnak: Körülkerültem és át- meg átjártam a földet.

És monda az Úr a Sátánnak: Honnét jösz? És felele a Sátán az Úrnak, és monda: Körülkerültem és át meg átjártam a földet.

And the LORD said unto Satan, From whence comest thou? And Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.

Domnul a zis Satanei: „De unde vii?” Şi Satana a răspuns Domnului: „De la cutreierarea pământului şi de la plimbarea pe care am făcut-o pe el.”

And the LORD said to Satan, “From where have you come?” Satan answered the LORD and said, “From going to and fro on the earth, and from walking up and down on it.”

Az ÚR pedig azt kérdezte a Sátántól: Észrevetted-e szolgámat, Jóbot? Bizony nincs a földön olyan, mint ő: feddhetetlen, igaz, istenfélő, és kerüli a rosszat. Még most is állhatatos feddhetetlenségében, noha fölingereltél ellene, hogy ok nélkül sújtsam.

Monda pedig az Úr a Sátánnak: Észrevetted-é az én szolgámat, Jóbot? Bizony nincs a földön olyan, mint ő; feddhetetlen, igaz, istenfélő, bűngyűlölő. Még erősen áll a ő feddhetetlenségében, noha ellene ingereltél, hogy ok nélkül rontsam meg őt.

And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? and still he holdeth fast his integrity, although thou movedst me against him, to destroy him without cause.

Domnul a zis Satanei: „Ai văzut pe robul Meu Iov? Nu este nimeni ca el pe pământ. Este un om fără prihană şi curat la suflet. El se teme de Dumnezeu şi se abate de la rău. El se ţine tare în neprihănirea lui, şi tu Mă îndemni să-l pierd fără pricină.”

And the LORD said to Satan, “Have you considered my servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, who fears God and turns away from evil? He still holds fast his integrity, although you incited me against him to destroy him without reason.”

A Sátán ezt válaszolta az ÚRnak: Bőrt bőrért; de mindazt, amije csak van, odaadja az ember az életéért.

És felele a Sátán az Úrnak, és monda: Bőrt bőrért; de mindent a mije van, odaad az ember az életéért.

And Satan answered the LORD, and said, Skin for skin, yea, all that a man hath will he give for his life.

Şi Satana a răspuns Domnului: „Piele pentru piele! Omul dă tot ce are pentru viaţa lui.

Then Satan answered the LORD and said, “Skin for skin! All that a man has he will give for his life.

Nyújtsd csak ki a kezed, és sújts le csontjára és testére: vajon akkor nem átkoz-e meg téged szemtől szembe?

Azért bocsásd ki csak a te kezedet, és verd meg őt csontjában és testében: avagy nem átkoz-é meg szemtől-szembe téged?

But put forth thine hand now, and touch his bone and his flesh, and he will curse thee to thy face.

Dar ia întinde-Ţi mâna şi atinge-Te de oasele şi de carnea lui, şi sunt încredinţat că Te va blestema în faţă.”

But stretch out your hand and touch his bone and his flesh, and he will curse you to your face.”

Az ÚR pedig azt mondta a Sátánnak: Íme, a kezedben van ő, csak az életét kíméld!

Monda pedig az Úr a Sátánnak: Ímé kezedbe van ő, csak életét kiméld.

And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, he is in thine hand; but save his life.

Domnul a zis Satanei: „Iată, ţi-l dau pe mână: numai cruţă-i viaţa.”

And the LORD said to Satan, “Behold, he is in your hand; only spare his life.”

Akkor eltávozott a Sátán az ÚR színe elől, és megverte Jóbot undok fekéllyel tetőtől talpig.

És kiméne a Sátán az Úr elől, és megveré Jóbot undok fekélylyel talpától fogva a feje tetejéig.

So went Satan forth from the presence of the LORD, and smote Job with sore boils from the sole of his foot unto his crown.

Şi Satana a plecat dinaintea Domnului. Apoi a lovit pe Iov cu o bubă rea, din talpa piciorului până în creştetul capului.

So Satan went out from the presence of the LORD and struck Job with loathsome sores from the sole of his foot to the crown of his head.

Jób fogott egy cserepet, azzal vakarta magát, és így ült a hamu közepén.

És vőn egy cserepet, hogy azzal vakarja magát, és így ül vala a hamu közepett.

And he took him a potsherd to scrape himself withal; and he sat down among the ashes.

Şi Iov a luat un ciob să se scarpine şi a şezut pe cenuşă.

And he took a piece of broken pottery with which to scrape himself while he sat in the ashes.

A felesége pedig azt mondta neki: Erősen állsz-e még mindig a te feddhetetlenségedben? Átkozd meg Istent, és halj meg!

Monda pedig ő néki az ő felesége: Erősen állasz-é még mindig a te feddhetetlenségedben? Átkozd meg az Istent, és halj meg!

Then said his wife unto him, Dost thou still retain thine integrity? curse God, and die.

Nevasta sa i-a zis: „Tu rămâi neclintit în neprihănirea ta! Blestemă pe Dumnezeu, şi mori!”

Then his wife said to him, “Do you still hold fast your integrity? Curse God and die.”

Ő azonban azt felelte: Úgy beszélsz, mint egy bolond. Ha már a jót elfogadtuk Istentől, nem kell-e a rosszat is elfogadnunk? Mindezekben sem vétkezett Jób az ajkával.

Ő pedig monda néki: Úgy szólsz, mint szól egy a bolondok közül. Ha már a jót elvettük Istentől, a rosszat nem vennők-é el? Mindezekben sem vétkezék Jób az ő ajkaival.

But he said unto her, Thou speakest as one of the foolish women speaketh. What? shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil? In all this did not Job sin with his lips.

Dar Iov i-a răspuns: „Vorbeşti ca o femeie nebună. Ce! primim de la Dumnezeu binele, şi să nu primim şi răul?” În toate acestea, Iov n-a păcătuit deloc cu buzele lui.

But he said to her, “You speak as one of the foolish women would speak. Shall we receive good from God, and shall we not receive evil?” In all this Job did not sin with his lips.

Mikor pedig Jób három barátja meghallotta mindazt a nyomorúságot, amely rajta esett, eljött mindegyik a lakhelyéről: a témáni Elifáz, a súahi Bildád és a naamái Cófár. Elhatározták, hogy együtt elmennek hozzá, hogy bánkódjanak vele, és vigasztalják őt.

Mikor pedig meghallá Jóbnak három barátja mind ezt a nyomorúságot, a mely esett vala rajta: eljöve mindenik az ő lakó helyéből: a témáni Elifáz, a sukhi Bildád és a naamai Czófár; és elvégezék, hogy együtt mennek be, hogy bánkódjanak vele és vigasztalják őt.

Now when Job's three friends heard of all this evil that was come upon him, they came every one from his own place; Eliphaz the Temanite, and Bildad the Shuhite, and Zophar the Naamathite: for they had made an appointment together to come to mourn with him and to comfort him.

Trei prieteni ai lui Iov, Elifaz din Teman, Bildad din Şuah, şi Ţofar din Naama, au aflat de toate nenorocirile care-l loviseră. S-au sfătuit şi au plecat de acasă să se ducă să-i plângă de milă şi să-l mângâie.

Now when Job’s three friends heard of all this evil that had come upon him, they came each from his own place, Eliphaz the Temanite, Bildad the Shuhite, and Zophar the Naamathite. They made an appointment together to come to show him sympathy and comfort him.

Amint távolról megpillantották, nem is ismerték meg. Hangosan zokogtak, azután pedig mindegyik megszaggatta a maga köntösét, port hintettek a fejükre és az ég felé.

És a mint ráveték szemöket távolról, nem ismerék meg őt, és fenhangon zokognak vala; azután pedig megszaggatá kiki a maga köntösét, és port hintének fejökre ég felé.

And when they lifted up their eyes afar off, and knew him not, they lifted up their voice, and wept; and they rent every one his mantle, and sprinkled dust upon their heads toward heaven.

Ridicându-şi ochii de departe, nu l-au mai cunoscut. Şi au ridicat glasul şi au plâns. Şi-au sfâşiat mantalele şi au aruncat cu ţărână în văzduh deasupra capetelor lor.

And when they saw him from a distance, they did not recognize him. And they raised their voices and wept, and they tore their robes and sprinkled dust on their heads toward heaven.

Hét napon és hét éjszakán át ott ültek vele a földön, és egyik sem szólt egy szót sem, mert látták, hogy igen nagy a fájdalma.

És ülének vele hét napon és hét éjszakán a földön, és nem szóla egyetlen egy szót egyik sem, mert látják vala, hogy igen nagy az ő fájdalma.

So they sat down with him upon the ground seven days and seven nights, and none spake a word unto him: for they saw that his grief was very great.

Şi au şezut pe pământ lângă el şapte zile şi şapte nopţi, fără să-i spună o vorbă, căci vedeau cât de mare îi este durerea.

And they sat with him on the ground seven days and seven nights, and no one spoke a word to him, for they saw that his suffering was very great.
