Felele pedig a Naamából való Czófár, és monda:

Then answered Zophar the Naamathite, and said,

Gondolataim feleletre kényszerítenek, mert nagy a felháborodottság bennem.

Mindamellett az én gondolataim feleletre kényszerítenek engem, és e miatt nagy az izgatottság bennem.

Therefore do my thoughts cause me to answer, and for this I make haste.

„Gândurile mele mă silesc să răspund, şi frământarea mea nu-mi dă pace.

“Therefore my thoughts answer me, because of my haste within me.

Hallom a megszégyenítő dorgálást, de értelmes lelkem megfelel majd értem.

Hallom gyalázatos dorgáltatásomat, de az én értelmes lelkem megfelel majd értem.

I have heard the check of my reproach, and the spirit of my understanding causeth me to answer.

Am auzit mustrări care mă umplu de ruşine, şi din adâncul minţii mele duhul mă face să răspund.

I hear censure that insults me, and out of my understanding a spirit answers me.

Tudod-e azt, hogy eleitől fogva, az embernek e földre helyezése óta

Tudod-é azt, hogy eleitől fogva, mióta az embert e földre helyheztette,

Knowest thou not this of old, since man was placed upon earth,

Nu ştii tu că, demult de tot, de când a fost aşezat omul pe pământ,

Do you not know this from of old, since man was placed on earth,

az istentelenek vigassága rövid ideig tart, és az elvetemültek öröme egy röpke pillanat?

Az istentelenek vígassága rövid ideig tartó, és a képmutató öröme egy szempillantásig való?

That the triumphing of the wicked is short, and the joy of the hypocrite but for a moment?

biruinţa celor răi a fost scurtă, şi bucuria nelegiuitului numai de o clipă?

that the exulting of the wicked is short, and the joy of the godless but for a moment?

Ha szinte az égig érne is büszkesége, és a fellegeket érné a feje,

Ha szinte az égig érne is az ő magassága, és a felleget érné is a fejével:

Though his excellency mount up to the heavens, and his head reach unto the clouds;

Chiar dacă s-ar înălţa până la ceruri, şi capul i-ar ajunge până la nori,

Though his height mount up to the heavens, and his head reach to the clouds,

úgy vész el örökre, mint saját ganéja, és akik látták, azt kérdik: Hol van?

Mint az emésztete, úgy vész el örökre, és a kik látták, azt mondják: Hol van ő?

Yet he shall perish for ever like his own dung: they which have seen him shall say, Where is he?

va pieri pentru totdeauna, ca murdăria lui, şi cei ce-l vedeau vor zice: „Unde este?”

he will perish forever like his own dung; those who have seen him will say, ‘Where is he?’

Elrepül, mint az álom, és nem találják. Eltűnik, mint az éjjeli látomás.

Mint az álom, úgy elrepül és nem találják őt; eltünik, mint az éjjeli látomás.

He shall fly away as a dream, and shall not be found: yea, he shall be chased away as a vision of the night.

Va zbura ca un vis, şi nu-l vor mai găsi; va pieri ca o vedenie de noapte.

He will fly away like a dream and not be found; he will be chased away like a vision of the night.

A szem, amely ráragyogott, nem látja többé, és lakóhelye sem törődik vele.

A szem, a mely rá ragyogott, nem [látja] többé, és az ő helye sem törődik már vele.

The eye also which saw him shall see him no more; neither shall his place any more behold him.

Ochiul care-l privea nu-l va mai privi, locul în care locuia nu-l va mai zări.

The eye that saw him will see him no more, nor will his place any more behold him.

Fiai a szegény kedvében járnak, és keze visszaadja a vagyonát.

Fiai a szegények kedvében járnak, és kezei visszaadják az ő rablott vagyonát.

His children shall seek to please the poor, and his hands shall restore their goods.

Peste fiii lui vor năvăli cei săraci, şi mâinile lui vor da înapoi ce a răpit cu sila.

His children will seek the favor of the poor, and his hands will give back his wealth.

Ha csontja tele is volt ifjúi erővel, az vele együtt roskad a porba.

Csontjai, ha megtelnek is ifjú erővel, de vele együtt roskad az a porba.

His bones are full of the sin of his youth, which shall lie down with him in the dust.

Oasele lui, pline de vlaga tinereţii, îşi vor avea culcuşul cu el în ţărână.

His bones are full of his youthful vigor, but it will lie down with him in the dust.

Ha édes szájában a gonoszság, és elrejti azt nyelve alá,

Ha édes az ő szájában a gonoszság, és elrejti azt az ő nyelve alá;

Though wickedness be sweet in his mouth, though he hide it under his tongue;

Dulce era răul în gura lui, îl ascundea sub limbă,

“Though evil is sweet in his mouth, though he hides it under his tongue,

sajnál megválni tőle, inkább ínye között tartogatja,

És kedvez annak és ki nem veti azt, hanem ott tartogatja ínyei között:

Though he spare it, and forsake it not; but keep it still within his mouth:

îl mesteca întruna şi nu-l lăsa, îl ţinea în cerul gurii:

though he is loath to let it go and holds it in his mouth,

akkor étke elváltozik gyomrában, vipera mérgévé lesz bensőjében.

Az ő étke elváltozik az ő gyomrában, vipera mérgévé lesz a belében.

Yet his meat in his bowels is turned, it is the gall of asps within him.

dar hrana lui se va preface în măruntaiele lui, va ajunge în trupul lui o otravă de aspidă.

yet his food is turned in his stomach; it is the venom of cobras within him.

Gazdagságot nyelt el, de kihányja azt, hasából is kihajtja azt Isten.

Gazdagságot nyelt el, de kihányja azt, az ő hasából kiűzi azt az Isten.

He hath swallowed down riches, and he shall vomit them up again: God shall cast them out of his belly.

Bogăţiile înghiţite le va vărsa, Dumnezeu le va scoate din pântecele lui.

He swallows down riches and vomits them up again; God casts them out of his belly.

Vipera mérgét szívta, és áspiskígyó fullánkja öli meg őt,

A viperának mérgét szopta és a siklónak fulánkja öli meg őt,

He shall suck the poison of asps: the viper's tongue shall slay him.

Otravă de aspidă a supt şi de aceea, limba năpârcii îl va ucide.

He will suck the poison of cobras; the tongue of a viper will kill him.

hogy ne lássa a folyóvizeket, a tejjel és mézzel folyó patakokat.

[Hogy] ne lássa a folyóvizeket, a tejjel és mézzel folyó patakokat.

He shall not see the rivers, the floods, the brooks of honey and butter.

Nu-şi va mai plimba privirile peste pâraiele şi râurile de miere şi de lapte,

He will not look upon the rivers, the streams flowing with honey and curds.

Amit másoktól szerzett, vissza kell adnia, nem nyelheti le; éppígy kereskedéssel szerzett vagyonának sem örülhet.

A mit [másoktól] szerzett, vissza kell adnia, nem nyelheti el, ép így az ő cserébe kapott vagyonát is, hogy ne örvendezhessen annak.

That which he laboured for shall he restore, and shall not swallow it down: according to his substance shall the restitution be, and he shall not rejoice therein.

va da înapoi ce a câştigat şi nu va mai trage folos din câştig; va da înapoi tot ce a luat şi nu se va mai bucura de el,

He will give back the fruit of his toil and will not swallow it down; from the profit of his trading he will get no enjoyment.

Mert kihasználta és cserbenhagyta a szegényeket; házat rabolt, de nem építi tovább.

Mert megrontotta és ott hagyta a szegényeket, házat rabolt, de nem építi meg azt.

Because he hath oppressed and hath forsaken the poor; because he hath violently taken away an house which he builded not;

căci a asuprit pe săraci şi i-a lăsat să piară, a dărâmat case şi nu le-a zidit la loc.

For he has crushed and abandoned the poor; he has seized a house that he did not build.

Mivel gyomra nem tudott betelni semmivel, nem mentheti meg értékeit.

Mivel gyomra nem tudott betelni, nem is mentheti meg semmi drágaságát.

Surely he shall not feel quietness in his belly, he shall not save of that which he desired.

Lăcomia lui n-a cunoscut margini; dar nu va scăpa ce are mai scump.

“Because he knew no contentment in his belly, he will not let anything in which he delights escape him.

Falánksága miatt semmi sem maradt meg, ezért nem lesz tartós jóléte.

There shall none of his meat be left; therefore shall no man look for his goods.

Nimic nu scapă de lăcomia lui, dar bunăstarea lui nu va ţine.

There was nothing left after he had eaten; therefore his prosperity will not endure.

Mikor teljes a bősége, akkor lát szükséget, és mindenféle nyomorúság támad rá.

In the fulness of his sufficiency he shall be in straits: every hand of the wicked shall come upon him.

În mijlocul belşugului va fi în nevoie; mâna tuturor ticăloşilor se va ridica asupra lui.

In the fullness of his sufficiency he will be in distress; the hand of everyone in misery will come against him.

Amikor meg akarja tölteni hasát, rábocsátja haragja tüzét, és azt önti rá étele gyanánt.

Mikor meg akarja tölteni a hasát, reá bocsátja haragjának tüzét, és azt önti rá étele gyanánt.

When he is about to fill his belly, God shall cast the fury of his wrath upon him, and shall rain it upon him while he is eating.

Şi iată, ca să-i umple pântecele, Dumnezeu va trimite peste el focul mâniei Lui şi-l va sătura cu o ploaie de săgeţi.

To fill his belly to the full, God will send his burning anger against him and rain it upon him into his body.

Amikor vasfegyver elől fut, ércből készült íj lövi át.

Mikor vasból csinált fegyver elől fut, aczélból csinált íj veri át.

He shall flee from the iron weapon, and the bow of steel shall strike him through.

Dacă va scăpa de armele de fier, îl va străpunge arcul de aramă.

He will flee from an iron weapon; a bronze arrow will strike him through.

Kihúzza a nyilat, és az kijön a hátából, kivillan az epéjéből; rémület tölti el.

Kihúzza és az kijön a testéből és kivillan az epéjéből; rettegés támad felette.

It is drawn, and cometh out of the body; yea, the glittering sword cometh out of his gall: terrors are upon him.

Îşi smulge din trup săgeata, care scânteie la ieşirea din fierea lui, şi îl apucă spaimele morţii.

It is drawn forth and comes out of his body; the glittering point comes out of his gallbladder; terrors come upon him.

Teljes sötétség veszi körül rejtett vagyonát, föl nem szított tűz emészti meg; elpusztul az is, ami sátrában megmaradt.

Mindenféle titkos sötétség van az ő vagyonán; fúvás nélkül való tűz emészti meg őt; elpusztíttatik az is, a mi sátrában megmaradt.

All darkness shall be hid in his secret places: a fire not blown shall consume him; it shall go ill with him that is left in his tabernacle.

Toate nenorocirile sunt păstrate pentru comorile lui; va fi mistuit de un foc pe care nu-l va aprinde omul, şi ce va mai rămâne în cortul lui va fi ars de foc.

Utter darkness is laid up for his treasures; a fire not fanned will devour him; what is left in his tent will be consumed.

Megjelenti álnokságát a menny, és ellene támad a föld.

Megjelentik álnokságát az egek, és a föld ellene támad.

The heaven shall reveal his iniquity; and the earth shall rise up against him.

Cerurile îi vor dezveli fărădelegea, şi pământul se va ridica împotriva lui.

The heavens will reveal his iniquity, and the earth will rise up against him.

28

Házának jövedelme eltűnik, szétfolyik az Úr haragjának napján.

Házának jövedelme eltünik, szétfoly az az ő haragjának napján.

The increase of his house shall depart, and his goods shall flow away in the day of his wrath.

Veniturile casei lui se vor pierde, vor pieri în ziua mâniei lui Dumnezeu.

The possessions of his house will be carried away, dragged off in the day of God’s wrath.

Ez a gonosz ember fizetsége Istentől, és ez beszédének öröksége a Mindenhatótól.

Ez a gonosz ember fizetése Istentől, és az ő beszédének jutalma a Mindenhatótól.

This is the portion of a wicked man from God, and the heritage appointed unto him by God.

Aceasta este soarta pe care o păstrează Dumnezeu celui rău, aceasta este moştenirea pe care i-o hotărăşte Dumnezeu.”

This is the wicked man’s portion from God, the heritage decreed for him by God.”
