Távol van fiaitól a szabadulás: elnyomják őket a kapuban, mert nincs megmentőjük.

Fiai messze estek a szabadulástól: a kapuban megrontatnak, mert nincs, a ki kimentse őket.

His children are far from safety, and they are crushed in the gate, neither is there any to deliver them.

Amit learattak, fölfalja az éhező, a tövisek közül is kiszedi, és liheg, mint a gazdag a kincsek után.

A mit learatnak néki, az éhező eszi meg, a töviskerítésből is elviszi azt, kincseiket tőrvetők nyelik el.

Whose harvest the hungry eateth up, and taketh it even out of the thorns, and the robber swalloweth up their substance.

Secerişul lui este mâncat de cei flămânzi, care vin să-l ia chiar şi din spini, şi averile lui sunt înghiţite de oameni însetaţi.

The hungry eat his harvest, and he takes it even out of thorns, and the thirsty pant after his wealth.

Mert nem porból támad a veszedelem, s nem földből sarjad a nyomorúság,

Although affliction cometh not forth of the dust, neither doth trouble spring out of the ground;

Esőt ad a föld színére, és vizet bocsát a mezőkre.

Az alázatosakat fölmagasztalja, és a gyászolókat biztonságba helyezi.

To set up on high those that be low; that those which mourn may be exalted to safety.

He disappointeth the devices of the crafty, so that their hands cannot perform their enterprise.

A bölcseket saját csalárdságukkal fogja meg, és hiábavalóvá lesz a hamisak tanácsa.

A ki megfogja a bölcseket az ő csalárdságukban, és a hamisak tanácsát hiábavalóvá teszi.

He taketh the wise in their own craftiness: and the counsel of the froward is carried headlong.

Megszabadítja a szegényt az erős kezéből és szájuk fegyverétől,

A ki megszabadítja a fegyvertől, az ő szájoktól, és az erősnek kezéből a szegényt;

But he saveth the poor from the sword, from their mouth, and from the hand of the mighty.

Astfel, Dumnezeu ocroteşte pe cel slab împotriva ameninţărilor lor şi-l scapă din mâna celor puternici.

But he saves the needy from the sword of their mouth and from the hand of the mighty.

Behold, happy is the man whom God correcteth: therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty:

Thou shalt be hid from the scourge of the tongue: neither shalt thou be afraid of destruction when it cometh.

You shall be hidden from the lash of the tongue, and shall not fear destruction when it comes.

Nevetsz a pusztuláson és az éhségen, és a fenevadaktól sem kell félned.

A pusztulást és drágaságot neveted, és a fenevadaktól sem félsz.

At destruction and famine thou shalt laugh: neither shalt thou be afraid of the beasts of the earth.

At destruction and famine you shall laugh, and shall not fear the beasts of the earth.

For thou shalt be in league with the stones of the field: and the beasts of the field shall be at peace with thee.

Majd meglátod, hogy békességben lesz a sátrad, s ha megvizsgálod hajlékodat, nem találsz benne hiányt.

Majd megtudod, hogy békességben lesz a te sátorod, s ha megvizsgálod a te hajlékodat, nem találsz benne hiányt.

And thou shalt know that thy tabernacle shall be in peace; and thou shalt visit thy habitation, and shalt not sin.

Vei avea fericire în cortul tău, îţi vei găsi turmele întregi,

You shall know that your tent is at peace, and you shall inspect your fold and miss nothing.

Thou shalt know also that thy seed shall be great, and thine offspring as the grass of the earth.

You shall know also that your offspring shall be many, and your descendants as the grass of the earth.

Behold, this we have searched out; it is true. Hear, and know it for your good.”
