Jób azután így folytatta beszédét:

Jób pedig folytatá az ő beszédét, monda:

Moreover Job continued his parable, and said,

Iov a luat din nou cuvântul, a vorbit în pilde şi a zis:

And Job again took up his discourse, and said:

Él az Isten, aki igazamat megvonta, és a Mindenható, aki keserűséggel illette lelkemet,

Él az Isten, a ki az én igazamat elfordította, és a Mindenható, a ki keserűséggel illette az én lelkemet,

As God liveth, who hath taken away my judgment; and the Almighty, who hath vexed my soul;

„Viu este Dumnezeu, care nu-mi dă dreptate! Viu este Cel Atotputernic, care îmi amărăşte viaţa,

“As God lives, who has taken away my right, and the Almighty, who has made my soul bitter,

hogy mindaddig, amíg lelkem bennem van, és Isten lehelete van az orromban,

Hogy mindaddig, a míg az én lelkem én bennem van, és az Istennek lehellete van az én orromban;

All the while my breath is in me, and the spirit of God is in my nostrils;

că atâta vreme cât voi avea suflet şi suflarea lui Dumnezeu va fi în nările mele,

as long as my breath is in me, and the spirit of God is in my nostrils,

nem szól ajkam álnokságot, és nyelvem nem mond csalárdságot!

Az én ajakim nem szólnak álnokságot, és az én nyelvem nem mond csalárdságot!

My lips shall not speak wickedness, nor my tongue utter deceit.

buzele mele nu vor rosti nimic nedrept, limba mea nu va spune nimic neadevărat.

my lips will not speak falsehood, and my tongue will not utter deceit.

Távol legyen tőlem, hogy igazat adjak nektek! Amíg lelkemet ki nem lehelem, nem engedek ártatlanságomból.

Távol legyen tőlem, hogy igazat adjak néktek! A míg lelkemet ki nem lehelem, ártatlanságomból magamat ki nem tagadom.

God forbid that I should justify you: till I die I will not remove mine integrity from me.

Departe de mine gândul să vă dau dreptate! Până la cea din urmă suflare îmi voi apăra nevinovăţia.

Far be it from me to say that you are right; till I die I will not put away my integrity from me.

Igazamhoz ragaszkodom, nem mondok le róla. Napjaim miatt nem korhol a szívem.

Igazságomhoz ragaszkodom, róla le nem mondok; napjaim miatt nem korhol az én szívem.

My righteousness I hold fast, and will not let it go: my heart shall not reproach me so long as I live.

Ţin să-mi scot dreptatea şi nu voi slăbi; inima nu mă mustră pentru niciuna din zilele mele.

I hold fast my righteousness and will not let it go; my heart does not reproach me for any of my days.

Ellenségem lesz olyan, mint a gonosz, és aki ellenem támad, mint az álnok.

Ellenségem lesz olyan, mint a gonosz, és a ki ellenem támad, mint az álnok.

Let mine enemy be as the wicked, and he that riseth up against me as the unrighteous.

Vrăjmaşul meu să fie ca cel rău, şi potrivnicul meu ca cel nelegiuit!

“Let my enemy be as the wicked, and let him who rises up against me be as the unrighteous.

Mert milyen reménysége lehet az elvetemültnek, ha elpusztítja őt Isten, és elveszíti a lelkét?

Mert micsoda reménysége lehet a képmutatónak, hogy telhetetlenkedett, ha az Isten mégis elragadja az ő lelkét?

For what is the hope of the hypocrite, though he hath gained, when God taketh away his soul?

Ce nădejde-i mai rămâne celui nelegiuit; când îi taie Dumnezeu firul vieţii, când îi ia sufletul?

For what is the hope of the godless when God cuts him off, when God takes away his life?

Meghallja-e Isten a kiáltását, ha eljön rá a nyomorúság?

Meghallja-é kiáltását az Isten, ha eljő a nyomorúság reá?

Will God hear his cry when trouble cometh upon him?

Îi ascultă Dumnezeu strigătele, când vine strâmtorarea peste el?

Will God hear his cry when distress comes upon him?

Vajon gyönyörködhet-e a Mindenhatóban, segítségül hívhatja-e bármikor Istent?

Vajjon gyönyörködhetik-é a Mindenhatóban; segítségül hívhatja-é mindenkor az Istent?

Will he delight himself in the Almighty? will he always call upon God?

Este Cel Atotputernic desfătarea lui? Înalţă el în tot timpul rugăciuni lui Dumnezeu?

Will he take delight in the Almighty? Will he call upon God at all times?

Megtanítalak titeket Isten hatalmas dolgaira, nem titkolom el azokat, amik a Mindenhatónál vannak.

Megtanítlak benneteket Isten dolgaira; a mik a Mindenhatónál vannak, nem titkolom el.

I will teach you by the hand of God: that which is with the Almighty will I not conceal.

Vă voi învăţa căile lui Dumnezeu, nu vă voi ascunde planurile Celui Atotputernic.

I will teach you concerning the hand of God; what is with the Almighty I will not conceal.

Íme, ti is mindnyájan látjátok. Miért van hát, hogy hiábavalósággal hivalkodtok?

Ímé, ti is mindnyájan látjátok: miért van hát, hogy hiábavalósággal hivalkodtok?!

Behold, all ye yourselves have seen it; why then are ye thus altogether vain?

Dar voi le cunoaşteţi şi sunteţi de acelaşi gând; pentru ce dar vorbiţi aşa de prosteşte?

Behold, all of you have seen it yourselves; why then have you become altogether vain?

Ez a gonosz ember osztályrésze Istentől és a kegyetlenek öröksége a Mindenhatótól, amelyet elvesznek:

Ez a gonosz embernek osztályrésze Istentől, és a kegyetlenek öröksége a Mindenhatótól, a melyet elvesznek:

This is the portion of a wicked man with God, and the heritage of oppressors, which they shall receive of the Almighty.

Iată soarta pe care o păstrează Dumnezeu celui rău, moştenirea pe care o hotărăşte Cel Atotputernic celui nelegiuit.

“This is the portion of a wicked man with God, and the heritage that oppressors receive from the Almighty:

Ha megszaporodnak is fiai, kard vár rájuk, és magzatai kenyérrel sem lakhatnak jól.

Ha megsokasulnak is az ő fiai, a kardnak [sokasulnak meg,] és az ő magzatai nem lakhatnak jól kenyérrel sem.

If his children be multiplied, it is for the sword: and his offspring shall not be satisfied with bread.

Dacă are mulţi fii, îi are pentru sabie, şi odraslele lui duc lipsă de pâine.

If his children are multiplied, it is for the sword, and his descendants have not enough bread.

Maradékait dögvész miatt temetik el, és özvegyeik meg sem siratják őket.

Az ő maradékai dögvész miatt temettetnek el, és az ő özvegyeik meg sem siratják.

Those that remain of him shall be buried in death: and his widows shall not weep.

Cei ce scapă din ai lui, sunt îngropaţi de ciumă, şi văduvele lor nu-i plâng.

Those who survive him the pestilence buries, and his widows do not weep.

Ha annyi ezüstöt halmozna is föl, mint a por, és annyi ruhát készíttet, mint a sár:

Ha mint a port, úgy halmozná is össze az ezüstöt, és úgy szerezné is össze ruháit, mint a sarat:

Though he heap up silver as the dust, and prepare raiment as the clay;

Dacă strânge argint ca ţărâna, dacă îngrămădeşte haine ca noroiul –

Though he heap up silver like dust, and pile up clothing like clay,

készíttethet ugyan, de az igazak veszik majd magukra, az ezüstön pedig az ártatlanok osztoznak.

Összeszerezheti [ugyan,] de az igaz ruházza magára, az ezüstön pedig az ártatlan osztozik.

He may prepare it, but the just shall put it on, and the innocent shall divide the silver.

el le strânge, dar cel fără vină se îmbracă în ele, şi de argintul lui omul fără prihană are parte.

he may pile it up, but the righteous will wear it, and the innocent will divide the silver.

Házát olyanná építette, mint a molyé, olyanná, mint a csősz csinálta kunyhó.

Házát pók módjára építette föl, és olyanná, mint a csősz-csinálta kunyhó.

He buildeth his house as a moth, and as a booth that the keeper maketh.

Casa lui este ca aceea pe care o zideşte molia, ca o colibă pe care şi-o face un străjer.

He builds his house like a moth’s, like a booth that a watchman makes.

Gazdagon fekszik le, mert nincsen kifosztva; de mire fölnyitja szemét, már semmije sincsen.

Gazdagon fekszik le, mert nincsen kifosztva; felnyitja szemeit és semmije sincsen.

The rich man shall lie down, but he shall not be gathered: he openeth his eyes, and he is not.

Se culcă bogat şi moare despuiat; deschide ochii şi totul a pierit.

He goes to bed rich, but will do so no more; he opens his eyes, and his wealth is gone.

Meglepi őt a félelem, mint az árvíz, éjjel ragadja el a szélvihar.

Meglepi őt, mint az árvíz, a félelem, éjjel ragadja el a zivatar.

Terrors take hold on him as waters, a tempest stealeth him away in the night.

Îl apucă groaza ca nişte ape; şi noaptea, îl ia vârtejul.

Terrors overtake him like a flood; in the night a whirlwind carries him off.

Felkapja őt a keleti szél, és elviszi, elragadja őt lakóhelyéről.

Felkapja őt a keleti szél és elviszi, elragadja őt helyéről.

The east wind carrieth him away, and he departeth: and as a storm hurleth him out of his place.

Vântul de răsărit îl ia şi se duce; îl smulge cu putere din locuinţa lui.

The east wind lifts him up and he is gone; it sweeps him out of his place.

Dobálja és nem kíméli; futva kell menekülnie keze elől.

[Nyilakat] szór reá és nem kiméli; futva kell futnia keze elől.

For God shall cast upon him, and not spare: he would fain flee out of his hand.

Dumnezeu aruncă fără milă săgeţi împotriva lui, şi cel rău ar vrea să fugă să scape de ele.

It hurls at him without pity; he flees from its power in headlong flight.

Összecsapják miatta tenyerüket, és lepisszegik lakóhelyén.

Csapkodják felette kezeiket, és kisüvöltik őt az ő lakhelyéből.

Men shall clap their hands at him, and shall hiss him out of his place.

Oamenii bat din palme la căderea lui şi-l fluieră la plecarea din locul lui.

It claps its hands at him and hisses at him from its place.
