How long will ye vex my soul, and break me in pieces with words?

„Până când îmi veţi întrista sufletul şi mă veţi zdrobi cu cuvântările voastre?

“How long will you torment me and break me in pieces with words?

Már tízszer is gyaláztatok engem. Nem röstellitek, hogy így erősködtök ellenem?

Tízszer is meggyaláztatok már engem; nem pirultok, hogy így erősködtök ellenem?

These ten times have ye reproached me: ye are not ashamed that ye make yourselves strange to me.

Iată că de zece ori m-aţi batjocorit; nu vă este ruşine să vă purtaţi aşa?

These ten times you have cast reproach upon me; are you not ashamed to wrong me?

Még ha csakugyan tévedtem is, tévedésemet magamra veszem.

Még ha csakugyan tévedtem is, tévedésem énmagamra hárul.

And be it indeed that I have erred, mine error remaineth with myself.

Dacă am păcătuit cu adevărat, numai eu sunt răspunzător de aceasta.

And even if it be true that I have erred, my error remains with myself.

Ti azonban pöffeszkedni akartok velem szemben, és rám akarjátok bizonyítani gyalázatomat.

Avagy csakugyan pöffeszkedni akartok ellenem, és feddődni az én gyalázatom felett?

If indeed ye will magnify yourselves against me, and plead against me my reproach:

Credeţi că mă puteţi lua de sus? Credeţi că mi-aţi dovedit că sunt vinovat?

If indeed you magnify yourselves against me and make my disgrace an argument against me,

Tudjátok meg hát, hogy Isten alázott meg és hálójával ő vett körül engem.

Tudjátok meg hát, hogy Isten alázott meg engem, és az ő hálójával ő vett engem körül.

Know now that God hath overthrown me, and hath compassed me with his net.

Atunci să ştiţi că Dumnezeu mă urmăreşte şi mă înveleşte cu laţul Lui.

know then that God has put me in the wrong and closed his net about me.

Íme, kiáltozom az erőszak miatt, de nem kapok választ, segítségért kiáltok, de nincs igazság.

Ímé, kiáltozom az erőszak miatt, de meg nem hallgattatom, segélyért kiáltok, de nincsen igazság.

Behold, I cry out of wrong, but I am not heard: I cry aloud, but there is no judgment.

Iată, ţip de silnicie, şi nimeni nu răspunde; cer dreptate, şi dreptate nu este!

Behold, I cry out, ‘Violence!’ but I am not answered; I call for help, but there is no justice.

Utam elé gátat emelt, nem mehetek át rajta, ösvényemre pedig sötétséget vetett.

Utamat úgy elgátolta, hogy nem mehetek át rajta, és az én ösvényemre sötétséget vetett.

He hath fenced up my way that I cannot pass, and he hath set darkness in my paths.

Mi-a tăiat orice ieşire, şi nu pot trece; a răspândit întuneric pe cărările mele.

He has walled up my way, so that I cannot pass, and he has set darkness upon my paths.

Tisztességemből kivetkőztetett, és fejemről levette a koronát.

He hath stripped me of my glory, and taken the crown from my head.

M-a despuiat de slava mea, mi-a luat cununa de pe cap,

He has stripped from me my glory and taken the crown from my head.

Megrontott körös-körül, hogy elvesszek, és letördelte reménységemet, mint egy fát.

Megronta köröskörül, hogy elveszszek, és reménységemet, mint a fát, letördelé.

He hath destroyed me on every side, and I am gone: and mine hope hath he removed like a tree.

m-a zdrobit din toate părţile, şi pier; mi-a smuls nădejdea ca pe un copac.

He breaks me down on every side, and I am gone, and my hope has he pulled up like a tree.

Fölgerjedt haragja ellenem, és úgy bánt velem, mint ellenségeivel.

Felgerjesztette haragját ellenem, és úgy bánt velem, mint ellenségeivel.

He hath also kindled his wrath against me, and he counteth me unto him as one of his enemies.

S-a aprins de mânie împotriva mea, S-a purtat cu mine ca şi cu un vrăjmaş.

He has kindled his wrath against me and counts me as his adversary.

Seregei együtt jöttek be, és utat törtek ellenem; sátram mellett táboroztak.

Seregei együtt jövének be és utat csinálnak ellenem, és az én sátorom mellett táboroznak.

His troops come together, and raise up their way against me, and encamp round about my tabernacle.

Oştile Lui au pornit deodată înainte, şi-au croit drum până la mine şi au tăbărât în jurul cortului meu.

His troops come on together; they have cast up their siege ramp against me and encamp around my tent.

Testvéreimet messzire elűzte mellőlem, ismerőseim egészen elidegenedtek tőlem.

Atyámfiait távol űzé mellőlem, barátaim egészen elidegenedtek tőlem.

He hath put my brethren far from me, and mine acquaintance are verily estranged from me.

A depărtat pe fraţii mei de la mine, şi prietenii mei s-au înstrăinat de mine.

“He has put my brothers far from me, and those who knew me are wholly estranged from me.

My kinsfolk have failed, and my familiar friends have forgotten me.

Rudele mele m-au părăsit, şi cei mai de aproape ai mei m-au uitat.

My relatives have failed me, my close friends have forgotten me.

A házamnál levők és szolgálóim idegennek tartanak, jövevény lettem előttük.

Házam zsellérei és szolgálóim idegennek tartanak engem, jövevény lettem előttök.

They that dwell in mine house, and my maids, count me for a stranger: I am an alien in their sight.

Casnicii mei şi slugile mele mă privesc ca pe un străin, în ochii lor sunt un necunoscut.

The guests in my house and my maidservants count me as a stranger; I have become a foreigner in their eyes.

Ha szolgámnak kiáltok, nem felel, még ha könyörgök is neki.

Ha a szolgámat kiáltom, nem felel, még ha könyörgök is néki.

I called my servant, and he gave me no answer; I intreated him with my mouth.

Chem pe robul meu, şi nu răspunde; îl rog cu gura mea, şi degeaba.

I call to my servant, but he gives me no answer; I must plead with him with my mouth for mercy.

Leheletemtől undorodik a feleségem, s undorító az saját testvéreim előtt.

Lehelletem idegenné lett házastársam előtt, s könyörgésem az én ágyékom magzatai előtt.

My breath is strange to my wife, though I intreated for the children's sake of mine own body.

Suflarea mea a ajuns nesuferită nevestei mele, şi duhoarea mea a ajuns nesuferită fiilor mamei mele.

My breath is strange to my wife, and I am a stench to the children of my own mother.

Még a kisdedek is megvetnek engem. Ha fölkelek, ellenem szólnak.

Még a kisdedek is megvetnek engem, ha fölkelek, ellenem szólnak nékem.

Yea, young children despised me; I arose, and they spake against me.

Până şi copiii mă dispreţuiesc: dacă mă scol, ei mă ocărăsc.

Even young children despise me; when I rise they talk against me.

Megutált minden bizalmas emberem; akiket szerettem, azok is ellenem fordultak.

Megútált minden meghitt emberem; a kiket szerettem, azok is ellenem fordultak.

All my inward friends abhorred me: and they whom I loved are turned against me.

Aceia în care mă încredeam mă urăsc, aceia pe care îi iubeam s-au întors împotriva mea.

All my intimate friends abhor me, and those whom I loved have turned against me.

Bőröm és húsom a csontomhoz tapadt, de a fogam húsa megmenekült.

Bőrömhöz és húsomhoz ragadt az én csontom, csak fogam húsával menekültem meg.

My bone cleaveth to my skin and to my flesh, and I am escaped with the skin of my teeth.

Oasele mi se ţin de piele şi de carne; nu mi-a mai rămas decât pielea de pe dinţi.

My bones stick to my skin and to my flesh, and I have escaped by the skin of my teeth.

Könyörüljetek rajtam, könyörüljetek rajtam, barátaim, mert Isten keze érintett engem!

Have pity upon me, have pity upon me, O ye my friends; for the hand of God hath touched me.

Fie-vă milă, fie-vă milă de mine, prietenii mei! Căci mâna lui Dumnezeu m-a lovit.

Have mercy on me, have mercy on me, O you my friends, for the hand of God has touched me!

Miért üldöztök engem úgy, mint Isten, és miért nem elégedtek meg a testemmel?

Miért üldöztök engem úgy, mint az Isten, és mért nem elégesztek meg a testemmel?

Why do ye persecute me as God, and are not satisfied with my flesh?

De ce mă urmăriţi ca Dumnezeu? Şi nu vă mai săturaţi de carnea mea?

Why do you, like God, pursue me? Why are you not satisfied with my flesh?

Ó, bárcsak leírnák beszédeimet, bárcsak följegyeznék egy könyvbe!

Oh, vajha az én beszédeim leirattatnának, oh, vajha könyvbe feljegyeztetnének!

Oh that my words were now written! oh that they were printed in a book!

Oh! Aş vrea ca vorbele mele să fie scrise, să fie scrise într-o carte;

“Oh that my words were written! Oh that they were inscribed in a book!

Vas íróvesszővel és ólommal örökre kősziklába metszenék!

Vasvesszővel és ónnal örökre kősziklába metszetnének!

That they were graven with an iron pen and lead in the rock for ever!

aş vrea să fie săpate cu un priboi de fier şi cu plumb în stâncă pe vecie…

Oh that with an iron pen and lead they were engraved in the rock forever!

Mert tudom, hogy az én Megváltóm él, és utoljára megáll a porom fölött.

Mert én tudom, hogy az én megváltóm él, és utoljára az én porom felett megáll.

For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth:

Dar ştiu că Răscumpărătorul meu este viu şi că Se va ridica la urmă pe pământ.

For I know that my Redeemer lives, and at the last he will stand upon the earth.

És miután ez a bőröm lefoszlik, testem nélkül látom meg Istent.

És miután ezt a bőrömet megrágják, testem nélkül látom meg az Istent.

And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God:

Chiar dacă mi se va nimici pielea şi chiar dacă nu voi mai avea carne, voi vedea totuşi pe Dumnezeu.

And after my skin has been thus destroyed, yet in my flesh I shall see God,

Én magam látom meg őt; az én szemem látja meg, nem másé. Veséim vágyódnak utána.

A kit magam látok meg magamnak; az én szemeim látják meg, nem más. Az én veséim megemésztettek én bennem;

Whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold, and not another; though my reins be consumed within me.

Îl voi vedea şi-mi va fi binevoitor; ochii mei Îl vor vedea, şi nu ai altuia. Sufletul meu tânjeşte de dorul acesta înăuntrul meu.

whom I shall see for myself, and my eyes shall behold, and not another. My heart faints within me!

Ti azt mondjátok: „Hogyan üldözzük?”, merthogy a dolog gyökere bennem rejlik.

Mert ezt mondjátok: Hogyan fogjuk őt üldözni! [látva,] hogy a dolog gyökere én bennem rejlik.

But ye should say, Why persecute we him, seeing the root of the matter is found in me?

Atunci veţi zice: „Pentru ce-l urmăream noi?” Căci dreptatea pricinii mele va fi cunoscută.

If you say, ‘How we will pursue him!’ and, ‘The root of the matter is found in him,’

De féljetek a fegyvertől, mert a harag büntetése a fegyver, és megtudjátok, hogy van ítélet!

Féljetek a fegyvertől, mert a fegyver a bűnök miatt való büntetés, hogy megtudjátok, hogy van ítélet!

Be ye afraid of the sword: for wrath bringeth the punishments of the sword, that ye may know there is a judgment.

Temeţi-vă de sabie: căci pedepsele date cu sabia sunt grozave! Şi să ştiţi că este o judecată.”

be afraid of the sword, for wrath brings the punishment of the sword, that you may know there is a judgment.”
