The vision of Isaiah the son of Amoz, which he saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah.

Halljátok meg, egek, és vedd füledbe, föld, mert az ÚR szól: Fiakat neveltem és méltóságra emeltem, de elpártoltak tőlem.

Halljátok egek, és vedd füleidbe föld! mert az Úr szól: Fiakat neveltem, s méltóságra emeltem, és ők elpártolának tőlem.

Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth: for the LORD hath spoken, I have nourished and brought up children, and they have rebelled against me.

Ascultaţi, ceruri, şi ia aminte, pământule, căci Domnul vorbeşte: „Am hrănit şi am crescut nişte copii, dar ei s-au răsculat împotriva Mea.

Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth; for the LORD has spoken: “Children have I reared and brought up, but they have rebelled against me.

Az ökör ismeri gazdáját és a szamár is urának jászlát, de Izráel nem ismer, az én népem nem ért engem!

Az ökör ismeri gazdáját, és a szamár az ő urának jászlát; Izráel nem ismeri, az én népem nem figyel reá!

The ox knoweth his owner, and the ass his master's crib: but Israel doth not know, my people doth not consider.

Boul îşi cunoaşte stăpânul, şi măgarul cunoaşte ieslea stăpânului său, dar Israel nu Mă cunoaşte, poporul Meu nu ia aminte la Mine.”

The ox knows its owner, and the donkey its master’s crib, but Israel does not know, my people do not understand.”

Ó, gonosz nemzet, hamissággal megterhelt nép, gonosz utódok, elvetemült fiak! Elhagyták az URat, megvetették Izráel Szentjét, és elfordultak tőle.

Oh gonosz nemzetség, hamissággal megterheltetett nép, gonosz mag, nemtelen fiak! elhagyták az Urat, megútálták az Izráel Szentjét, [és] elfordultak tőle.

Ah sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a seed of evildoers, children that are corrupters: they have forsaken the LORD, they have provoked the Holy One of Israel unto anger, they are gone away backward.

Vai, neam păcătos, popor încărcat de fărădelegi, sămânţă de nelegiuiţi, copii stricaţi! Au părăsit pe Domnul, au dispreţuit pe Sfântul lui Israel. I-au întors spatele…

Ah, sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, offspring of evildoers, children who deal corruptly! They have forsaken the LORD, they have despised the Holy One of Israel, they are utterly estranged.

Miért ostorozzalak tovább, miért folytatjátok a lázadást? Minden fej beteg, és minden szív erőtlen.

Miért ostorozzalak tovább, holott a bűnt növelitek? Minden fej beteg, és minden szív erőtelen.

Why should ye be stricken any more? ye will revolt more and more: the whole head is sick, and the whole heart faint.

Ce pedepse noi să vă mai dea, când voi vă răzvrătiţi din ce în ce mai rău? Tot capul este bolnav, şi toată inima suferă de moarte!

Why will you still be struck down? Why will you continue to rebel? The whole head is sick, and the whole heart faint.

Tetőtől talpig nincs e testben ép hely, csupa seb és dagadás és nyílt kelevény, amelyeket ki sem nyomtak, be sem kötöztek, olajjal sem lágyítottak.

From the sole of the foot even unto the head there is no soundness in it; but wounds, and bruises, and putrifying sores: they have not been closed, neither bound up, neither mollified with ointment.

Din tălpi până-n creştet, nimic nu-i sănătos, ci numai răni, vânătăi şi carne vie, nestoarse, nelegate şi nealinate cu untdelemn,

From the sole of the foot even to the head, there is no soundness in it, but bruises and sores and raw wounds; they are not pressed out or bound up or softened with oil.

Országotok pusztaság, városaitokat tűz perzselte, földeteket szemetek láttára idegenek emésztik föl, és oly pusztaság az, mint ahol idegenek dúltak.

Your country is desolate, your cities are burned with fire: your land, strangers devour it in your presence, and it is desolate, as overthrown by strangers.

ţara vă este pustiită, cetăţile vă sunt arse de foc, străinii vă mănâncă ogoarele sub ochii voştri, pustiesc şi nimicesc ca nişte sălbatici.

Your country lies desolate; your cities are burned with fire; in your very presence foreigners devour your land; it is desolate, as overthrown by foreigners.

Olyan maradt Sion leánya, mint kunyhó a szőlőben, mint kalyiba az uborkaföldön vagy mint egy ostromlott város.

És úgy maradt a Sion leánya, mint kunyhó a szőlőben, mint kaliba az ugorkaföldön, mint megostromlott város.

And the daughter of Zion is left as a cottage in a vineyard, as a lodge in a garden of cucumbers, as a besieged city.

Şi fiica Sionului a rămas ca o colibă în vie, ca o covergă într-un câmp de castraveţi, ca o cetate împresurată.

And the daughter of Zion is left like a booth in a vineyard, like a lodge in a cucumber field, like a besieged city.

Ha a Seregek URa nem hagyott volna nekünk egy kis maradékot, olyanná lettünk volna, mint Sodoma, és Gomorához hasonlítanánk.

Ha a seregeknek Ura valami keveset meg nem hagyott volna bennünk, úgy jártunk volna mint Sodoma, és Gomorához volnánk hasonlók.

Except the LORD of hosts had left unto us a very small remnant, we should have been as Sodom, and we should have been like unto Gomorrah.

De nu ne-ar fi lăsat Domnul oştirilor o mică rămăşiţă, am fi ajuns ca Sodoma şi ne-am fi asemănat cu Gomora.

If the LORD of hosts had not left us a few survivors, we should have been like Sodom, and become like Gomorrah.

Hear the word of the LORD, ye rulers of Sodom; give ear unto the law of our God, ye people of Gomorrah.

Mire való nekem véresáldozataitok sokasága? – ezt mondja az ÚR. Megelégeltem a kosok egészen elégő áldozatait és a hizlalt marhák kövérjét. A bikák, bárányok és bakok vérében nem gyönyörködöm.

Mire való nékem véres áldozataitoknak sokasága? ezt mondja az Úr; megelégeltem a kosok egészen égőáldozatait és a hízlalt barmok kövérét; s a tulkok, bárányok és bakok vérében nem gyönyörködöm;

To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices unto me? saith the LORD: I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he goats.

„Ce-Mi trebuie Mie mulţimea jertfelor voastre, zice Domnul. Sunt sătul de arderile de tot ale berbecilor şi de grăsimea viţeilor; nu-Mi place sângele taurilor, oilor şi ţapilor.

“What to me is the multitude of your sacrifices? says the LORD; I have had enough of burnt offerings of rams and the fat of well-fed beasts; I do not delight in the blood of bulls, or of lambs, or of goats.

When ye come to appear before me, who hath required this at your hand, to tread my courts?

Când veniţi să vă înfăţişaţi înaintea Mea, cine vă cere astfel de lucruri, ca să-Mi spurcaţi curţile?

“When you come to appear before me, who has required of you this trampling of my courts?

Ne hozzatok többé hazug ételáldozatot, az illatáldozat utálatos előttem. Újhold, szombat és ünnepre hívás? Bűnt és ünneplést el nem szenvedhetek.

Ne hozzatok többé hazug ételáldozatot, a jó illattétel útálat előttem; újhold, szombat s ünnepre-felhívás: bűnt és ünneplést el nem szenvedhetek.

Bring no more vain oblations; incense is an abomination unto me; the new moons and sabbaths, the calling of assemblies, I cannot away with; it is iniquity, even the solemn meeting.

Nu mai aduceţi daruri de mâncare nefolositoare, căci Mi-e scârbă de tămâie! Nu vreau luni noi, Sabate şi adunări de sărbătoare, nu pot să văd nelegiuirea unită cu sărbătoarea!

Bring no more vain offerings; incense is an abomination to me. New moon and Sabbath and the calling of convocations— I cannot endure iniquity and solemn assembly.

Újholdjaitokat és ünnepeiteket gyűlöli a lelkem, terhemre vannak, elfáradtam viselni.

Your new moons and your appointed feasts my soul hateth: they are a trouble unto me; I am weary to bear them.

Urăsc lunile voastre cele noi şi praznicele voastre; Mi-au ajuns o povară, nu le mai pot suferi.

Your new moons and your appointed feasts my soul hates; they have become a burden to me; I am weary of bearing them.

Ha kitárjátok kezeteket, elrejtem szememet előletek. Sőt ha megsokasítjátok is az imádságot, akkor sem hallgatom meg: kezetek vérrel van áztatva.

És ha kiterjesztitek kezeiteket, elrejtem szemeimet előletek; sőt ha megsokasítjátok is az imádságot, én meg nem hallgatom: vérrel rakvák kezeitek.

And when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you: yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood.

Când vă întindeţi mâinile, Îmi întorc ochii de la voi; şi oricât de mult v-aţi ruga, n-ascult, căci mâinile vă sunt pline de sânge!

When you spread out your hands, I will hide my eyes from you; even though you make many prayers, I will not listen; your hands are full of blood.

Mossátok meg, tisztítsátok meg magatokat, távoztassátok el szemem elől gonosz cselekedeteiteket, szűnjetek meg gonoszt cselekedni.

Mosódjatok, tisztuljatok meg, távoztassátok el szemeim elől cselekedeteitek gonoszságát, szünjetek meg gonoszt cselekedni;

Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil;

Spălaţi-vă deci şi curăţaţi-vă! Luaţi dinaintea ochilor Mei faptele rele pe care le-aţi făcut! Încetaţi să mai faceţi răul!

Wash yourselves; make yourselves clean; remove the evil of your deeds from before my eyes; cease to do evil,

Tanuljatok meg jót tenni, törekedjetek az igazságra, vezessétek jóra az erőszakoskodót, szolgáltassatok igazságot az árvának, és hozzatok ítéletet az özvegy ügyében!

Tanuljatok jót tenni; törekedjetek igazságra, vezessétek jóra az erőszakoskodót, pártoljátok az árvák és özvegyek ügyét.

Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow.

Învăţaţi-vă să faceţi binele, căutaţi dreptatea, ocrotiţi pe cel asuprit, faceţi dreptate orfanului, apăraţi pe văduvă! –

learn to do good; seek justice, correct oppression; bring justice to the fatherless, plead the widow’s cause.

Gyertek hát, törvénykezzünk, azt mondja az ÚR! Ha bűneitek skarlátpirosak, hófehérek lesznek, ha vérvörösek, mint a karmazsin, olyanok lesznek, mint a gyapjú.

No jertek, törvénykezzünk, azt mondja az Úr! ha bűneitek skárlátpirosak, hófehérek lesznek, és ha vérszínűek, mint a karmazsin, olyanok lesznek, mint a gyapjú.

Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

Veniţi totuşi să ne judecăm, zice Domnul. De vor fi păcatele voastre cum e cârmâzul, se vor face albe ca zăpada; de vor fi roşii ca purpura, se vor face ca lâna.

“Come now, let us reason together, says the LORD: though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall become like wool.

Ha engedelmesen hallgattok rám, élhettek e föld javaival.

Ha engedelemmel hallgatándotok, e föld javaival éltek;

If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:

De veţi voi şi veţi asculta, veţi mânca cele mai bune roade ale ţării;

If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land;

De ha vonakodtok, sőt pártot üttök, fegyver emészt meg, mert az ÚR szája szólt!

És ha vonakodtok, sőt pártot üttök, fegyver emészt meg; mert az Úr szája szólt!

But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.

dar de nu veţi voi şi nu veţi asculta, de sabie veţi fi înghiţiţi, căci gura Domnului a vorbit.”

but if you refuse and rebel, you shall be eaten by the sword; for the mouth of the LORD has spoken.”

Milyen paráznává lett a hű város! Tele volt jogossággal, igazság lakott benne, most pedig gyilkosok!

Mint lett paráznává a hív város! teljes vala jogossággal, igazság lakozott benne, és most gyilkosok!

How is the faithful city become an harlot! it was full of judgment; righteousness lodged in it; but now murderers.

Vai, cetatea aceea credincioasă, cum a ajuns o curvă! Era plină de judecată, dreptatea locuia în ea, şi acum e plină de ucigaşi!

How the faithful city has become a whore, she who was full of justice! Righteousness lodged in her, but now murderers.

Ezüstöd salakká lett, tiszta borod vízzel kevert.

Ezüstöd salakká lett, tiszta borod vízzel elegyítve:

Thy silver is become dross, thy wine mixed with water:

Argintul tău s-a prefăcut în zgură, şi vinul tău cel ales a fost amestecat cu apă.

Your silver has become dross, your best wine mixed with water.

Fejedelmeid megátalkodottak, tolvajok társai. Mindegyikük szereti az ajándékot, és a megvesztegetést hajhássza, az árvának nem szolgáltatnak igazságot, és az özvegy ügye nem kerül eléjük.

Fejedelmid megátalkodottak és lopóknak társai; mind szereti az ajándékot és vesztegetést hajhász, árvát nem pártolnak, és az özvegy ügye nem kerül eléjök.

Thy princes are rebellious, and companions of thieves: every one loveth gifts, and followeth after rewards: they judge not the fatherless, neither doth the cause of the widow come unto them.

Mai marii tăi sunt răzvrătiţi şi părtaşi cu hoţii, toţi iubesc mita şi aleargă după plată; orfanului nu-i fac dreptate, şi pricina văduvei n-ajunge până la ei.

Your princes are rebels and companions of thieves. Everyone loves a bribe and runs after gifts. They do not bring justice to the fatherless, and the widow’s cause does not come to them.

Ezért azt mondja az Úr, a Seregek URa, Izráel erős Istene: Jaj, mert kitöltöm haragomat elleségeimre, és bosszút állok ellenfeleimen!

Ezért azt mondja az Úr, a seregeknek Ura, Izráel erős [Istene]: Jaj! mert vígasztalást veszek háborgatóimon, és bosszút állok ellenségimen!

Therefore saith the LORD, the LORD of hosts, the mighty One of Israel, Ah, I will ease me of mine adversaries, and avenge me of mine enemies:

De aceea, iată ce zice Domnul Dumnezeul oştirilor, Puternicul lui Israel: „Ah! voi cere socoteală potrivnicilor Mei şi Mă voi răzbuna pe vrăjmaşii Mei.

Therefore the Lord declares, the LORD of hosts, the Mighty One of Israel: “Ah, I will get relief from my enemies and avenge myself on my foes.

Ellened fordítom kezemet, és kiolvasztom salakodat, mint a lúg, eltávolítom minden söpredékedet.

És kezemet ellened fordítom, és kiolvasztom mintegy lúggal salakodat, és eltávolítom minden ólmodat;

And I will turn my hand upon thee, and purely purge away thy dross, and take away all thy tin:

Îmi voi întinde mâna împotriva ta, îţi voi topi zgura, cum o topeşte leşia, toate părticelele de plumb le voi depărta din tine.

I will turn my hand against you and will smelt away your dross as with lye and remove all your alloy.

Olyan bírákat adok neked, mint régen, és olyan tanácsosokat, mint kezdetben. Akkor majd igaz városnak, hű városnak neveznek téged.

És adok néked oly birákat, mint régen, és oly tanácsosokat, mint kezdetben, s ekkor azt mondják te néked: ez igaz város, ez hív város.

And I will restore thy judges as at the first, and thy counsellors as at the beginning: afterward thou shalt be called, The city of righteousness, the faithful city.

Voi face iarăşi pe judecătorii tăi ca odinioară, şi pe sfetnicii tăi, ca la început. După aceea, vei fi numită cetatea neprihănită, cetatea credincioasă.”

And I will restore your judges as at the first, and your counselors as at the beginning. Afterward you shall be called the city of righteousness, the faithful city.”

Sion jogosság által váltatik meg, és azok, akik megtérnek benne, igazság által.

Sion jogosság által váltatik meg, és megtérői igazság által;

Zion shall be redeemed with judgment, and her converts with righteousness.

Sionul va fi mântuit prin judecată, şi cei ce se vor întoarce la Dumnezeu în el vor fi mântuiţi prin dreptate.

Zion shall be redeemed by justice, and those in her who repent, by righteousness.

De elvesznek a bűnösök a gonoszokkal együtt, és elpusztulnak, akik elhagyják az URat.

De elvesznek a bűnösök és gonoszok egyetemben, s megemésztetnek, a kik az Urat elhagyták.

And the destruction of the transgressors and of the sinners shall be together, and they that forsake the LORD shall be consumed.

Dar pieirea va atinge pe toţi cei răzvrătiţi şi păcătoşi, şi cei ce părăsesc pe Domnul vor pieri.

But rebels and sinners shall be broken together, and those who forsake the LORD shall be consumed.

Mert szégyen ér benneteket a cserfák miatt, amelyekben gyönyörködtetek, és pirulni fogtok a kertek miatt, amelyeket választottatok.

Mert szégyen éri őket a cserfákért, a melyekben gyönyörködétek, és pirulni fogtok a kertek miatt, a melyeket kedveltek;

For they shall be ashamed of the oaks which ye have desired, and ye shall be confounded for the gardens that ye have chosen.

Vă va fi ruşine de terebinţii în care găseaţi plăcere şi veţi roşi din pricina grădinilor în care vă desfătaţi;

For they shall be ashamed of the oaks that you desired; and you shall blush for the gardens that you have chosen.

Hasonlók lesztek a fonnyadó levelű cserfához és a víz nélkül való kerthez.

És hasonlatosok lesztek az elhullott levelű terpentinfához, és a víz nélkül való kerthez:

For ye shall be as an oak whose leaf fadeth, and as a garden that hath no water.

căci veţi fi ca un terebint cu frunzele ofilite, ca o grădină care n-are apă.

For you shall be like an oak whose leaf withers, and like a garden without water.

Az erős olyan lesz, mint a kóc, és munkája, mint a szikra: mindketten égni fognak, és nem lesz, aki eloltsa őket.

És csepüvé lesz az erős, és munkája szikrává: mindketten égni fognak, és oltójok nem lészen.

And the strong shall be as tow, and the maker of it as a spark, and they shall both burn together, and none shall quench them.

Omul tare va fi ca un câlţ, şi lucrarea lui, ca o scânteie; amândoi vor arde împreună, şi nimeni nu-i va stinge.

And the strong shall become tinder, and his work a spark, and both of them shall burn together, with none to quench them.
