De nem lesz mindig sötét ott, ahol most szorongattatás van. Először megalázta Zebulon és Naftáli földjét, de azután megdicsőíti a tengerhez vivő utat, a Jordán túlsó oldalát és a népek határát.

Nevertheless the dimness shall not be such as was in her vexation, when at the first he lightly afflicted the land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, and afterward did more grievously afflict her by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, in Galilee of the nations.

Totuşi întunericul nu va împărăţi veşnic pe pământul în care acum este necaz. După cum în vremurile trecute a acoperit cu ocară ţara lui Zabulon şi ţara lui Neftali, în vremurile viitoare va acoperi cu slavă ţinutul de lângă mare, ţara de dincolo de Iordan, Galileea neamurilor.

A nép, amely sötétségben jár, nagy világosságot lát. Akik a halál árnyékának földjén laknak, azok fölött fény ragyog föl.

A nép, a mely sötétségben jár vala, lát nagy világosságot; a kik lakoznak a halál árnyékának földében, fény ragyog fel fölöttök!

The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined.

Poporul care umbla în întuneric vede o mare lumină; peste cei ce locuiau în ţara umbrei morţii răsare o lumină.

The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light; those who dwelt in a land of deep darkness, on them has light shone.

Te megsokasítod e népet, nagy örömöt szerzel neki, és úgy örvendeznek előtted, mint ahogy az aratók örülnek, és úgy vigadoznak, mint amikor zsákmányt osztanak.

Te megsokasítod e népet, nagy örömöt szerzesz néki, és örvendeznek előtted az aratók örömével, és vígadoznak, mint mikoron zsákmányt osztanak.

Thou hast multiplied the nation, and not increased the joy: they joy before thee according to the joy in harvest, and as men rejoice when they divide the spoil.

Tu înmulţeşti poporul, îi dai mari bucurii; şi el se bucură înaintea Ta cum se bucură la seceriş, cum se înveseleşte la împărţirea prăzii.

You have multiplied the nation; you have increased its joy; they rejoice before you as with joy at the harvest, as they are glad when they divide the spoil.

For thou hast broken the yoke of his burden, and the staff of his shoulder, the rod of his oppressor, as in the day of Midian.

For the yoke of his burden, and the staff for his shoulder, the rod of his oppressor, you have broken as on the day of Midian.

Mert a vitézek harci saruja és vérrel szennyezett öltözete elég, és tűz eledele lesz.

Mert a vitézek harczi saruja és a vérbe fertőztetett öltözet megég, és tűznek eledele lészen;

For every battle of the warrior is with confused noise, and garments rolled in blood; but this shall be with burning and fuel of fire.

Căci orice încălţăminte purtată în învălmăşeala luptei şi orice haină de război tăvălită în sânge vor fi aruncate în flăcări, ca să fie arse de foc.

For every boot of the tramping warrior in battle tumult and every garment rolled in blood will be burned as fuel for the fire.

Mert egy gyermek születik nekünk, fiú adatik nekünk, és az uralom az ő vállán lesz. Így nevezik: Csodálatos Tanácsadó, Erős Isten, Örökkévaló Atya, Békesség Fejedelme!

Mert egy gyermek születik nékünk, fiú adatik nékünk, és az uralom az ő vállán lészen, és hívják nevét: csodálatosnak, tanácsosnak, erős Istennek, örökkévalóság atyjának, békesség fejedelmének!

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Căci un Copil ni S-a născut, un Fiu ni S-a dat, şi domnia va fi pe umerul Lui; Îl vor numi: „Minunat, Sfetnic, Dumnezeu tare, Părintele veşniciilor, Domn al păcii.”

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Uralma növekedésének és békéjének nem lesz vége Dávid trónján és királysága fölött, mert fölemeli és megerősíti azt jogosság és igazság által, mostantól fogva mindörökké. A Seregek URának féltő szeretete teszi ezt.

Uralma növekedésének és békéjének nem lesz vége a Dávid trónján és királysága felett, hogy fölemelje és megerősítse azt jogosság és igazság által mostantól mindörökké. A seregek Urának buzgó szerelme mívelendi ezt!

Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.

El va face ca domnia Lui să crească, şi o pace fără sfârşit va da scaunului de domnie al lui David şi împărăţiei lui, o va întări şi o va sprijini prin judecată şi neprihănire, de acum şi-n veci de veci; iată ce va face râvna Domnului oştirilor.

Of the increase of his government and of peace there will be no end, on the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from this time forth and forevermore. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will do this.

Beszédet küldött az ÚR Jákóbnak, és lehullott az Izráelben,

The Lord sent a word into Jacob, and it hath lighted upon Israel.

Domnul trimite un cuvânt împotriva lui Iacov: cuvânt care cade asupra lui Israel.

The Lord has sent a word against Jacob, and it will fall on Israel;

hogy megtudja az egész nép, Efraim és Samária lakosai, akik ezt mondják kevélyen és fölfuvalkodva:

And all the people shall know, even Ephraim and the inhabitant of Samaria, that say in the pride and stoutness of heart,

Tot poporul va avea cunoştinţă de el, Efraim şi locuitorii Samariei, care spun cu mândrie şi îngâmfare:

and all the people will know, Ephraim and the inhabitants of Samaria, who say in pride and in arrogance of heart:

A téglafalak leomlottak, de mi faragott kőből újraépítjük. Fügefákat vágtak ki, de mi cédrusokat ültetünk a helyükre.

Téglák omlottak le, és mi faragott kőből építünk; fügefák vágattak ki, és mi czédrusokat ültetünk helyökre!

The bricks are fallen down, but we will build with hewn stones: the sycomores are cut down, but we will change them into cedars.

„Au căzut nişte cărămizi, dar vom zidi cu pietre cioplite; au fost tăiaţi nişte smochini din Egipt, dar îi vom înlocui cu cedri.”

“The bricks have fallen, but we will build with dressed stones; the sycamores have been cut down, but we will put cedars in their place.”

Ám az ÚR szorongatókat támaszt ellenük Recínből, és rájuk uszítja ellenségeit.

De az Úr ellenök hozza Reczin szorongatóit, és ellenségeiket rájok uszítja;

Therefore the LORD shall set up the adversaries of Rezin against him, and join his enemies together;

De aceea, Domnul va ridica împotriva lor pe vrăjmaşii lui Reţin şi va stârni pe vrăjmaşii lor:

But the LORD raises the adversaries of Rezin against him, and stirs up his enemies.

Az arámiakat elölről és a filiszteusokat hátulról, és ők falják Izráelt teli szájjal. De mindezzel még nem múlt el haragja, és keze még föl van emelve.

A Sziriabeliek elől, és a Filiszteusok hátul, s falják Izráelt feltátott torokkal. Mindezekkel azonban haragja el nem múlt, és keze még felemelve van.

The Syrians before, and the Philistines behind; and they shall devour Israel with open mouth. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.

pe sirieni, de la răsărit, pe filisteni, de la apus; şi vor mânca pe Israel cu gura plină; cu toate acestea, mânia Lui nu se potoleşte, şi mâna Lui este tot întinsă.

The Syrians on the east and the Philistines on the west devour Israel with open mouth. For all this his anger has not turned away, and his hand is stretched out still.

Hiszen e nép nem tért meg ahhoz, aki őt megverte, nem keresték a Seregek URát.

Hiszen e nép nem tért meg az őt verő [Isten]hez, és a seregeknek Urát nem keresték;

For the people turneth not unto him that smiteth them, neither do they seek the LORD of hosts.

Căci nici poporul nu se întoarce la Cel ce-l loveşte şi nu caută pe Domnul oştirilor.

The people did not turn to him who struck them, nor inquire of the LORD of hosts.

Ezért kivágja az ÚR Izráelből a fejet és a farkat, a pálmaágat és a kákát egy napon.

Therefore the LORD will cut off from Israel head and tail, branch and rush, in one day.

De aceea, Domnul va smulge din Israel capul şi coada, ramura de finic şi trestia, într-o singură zi.

So the LORD cut off from Israel head and tail, palm branch and reed in one day—

A vén és a főember a fej, a farok pedig az a próféta, aki hazugságot szól.

The ancient and honourable, he is the head; and the prophet that teacheth lies, he is the tail.

(Bătrânul şi dregătorul sunt capul, şi prorocul care învaţă pe oameni minciuni este coada.)

the elder and honored man is the head, and the prophet who teaches lies is the tail;

Mert e nép vezérei tévelygésbe vitték a népet, és elvesztek, akiket vezettek.

Mert e nép vezérei hitetőkké lettek, és a kiket vezetének, elvesztek.

For the leaders of this people cause them to err; and they that are led of them are destroyed.

Cei ce povăţuiesc pe poporul acesta îl duc în rătăcire, şi cei ce se lasă povăţuiţi de ei sunt pierduţi.

for those who guide this people have been leading them astray, and those who are guided by them are swallowed up.

Ezért ifjainak sem örvend az Úr, árváin és özvegyein sem könyörül. Mert mindnyájan istentelenek és gonosztevők, és minden száj bolondságot beszél. De mindezzel még nem múlt el haragja, és keze még föl van emelve.

Ezért ifjaiban sem gyönyörködik az Úr, s árváin és özvegyein sem könyörül; mert mindnyájan istentelenek és gonosztevők, és minden száj bolondságot beszél. Mindezekkel haragja el nem múlt, és keze még felemelve van.

Therefore the LORD shall have no joy in their young men, neither shall have mercy on their fatherless and widows: for every one is an hypocrite and an evildoer, and every mouth speaketh folly. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.

De aceea, nici Domnul n-ar putea să se bucure de tinerii lor, nici să aibă milă de orfanii şi văduvele lor, căci toţi sunt nişte nelegiuiţi şi nişte răi, şi toate gurile lor spun mişelii. Cu toate acestea, mânia Lui nu se potoleşte, şi mâna Lui este tot întinsă.

Therefore the Lord does not rejoice over their young men, and has no compassion on their fatherless and widows; for everyone is godless and an evildoer, and every mouth speaks folly. For all this his anger has not turned away, and his hand is stretched out still.

Mert fölgerjedt a gonoszság, mint a tűz, megemészti a tövist és a gazt, és meggyújtja a sűrű erdőt, és fölfelé gomolyog, mint egy füstoszlop.

Mert a gonoszság felgerjedt, mint a tűz, s tövist és gazt emészt, és meggyújtja a sűrű erdőt, és felgomolyg az füst oszlopában.

For wickedness burneth as the fire: it shall devour the briers and thorns, and shall kindle in the thickets of the forest, and they shall mount up like the lifting up of smoke.

Căci răutatea arde ca un foc care mănâncă mărăcini şi spini, aprinde desişul pădurii, din care se înalţă stâlpi de fum.

For wickedness burns like a fire; it consumes briers and thorns; it kindles the thickets of the forest, and they roll upward in a column of smoke.

A Seregek URának haragja miatt égett a föld, a nép pedig tűz martaléka lett. Senki sem könyörül testvérén.

A seregek Urának haragja miatt kiégett a föld, és a nép a tűznek eledele lőn: Senki atyjafián nem könyörül,

Through the wrath of the LORD of hosts is the land darkened, and the people shall be as the fuel of the fire: no man shall spare his brother.

De mânia Domnului oştirilor, ţara parcă ar fi aprinsă, şi poporul este ca ars de foc; nimeni nu cruţă pe fratele său,

Through the wrath of the LORD of hosts the land is scorched, and the people are like fuel for the fire; no one spares another.

Vág abból, ami jobbra van, de éhes marad, majd eszik abból, ami balra van, de nem elégszik meg. Mindnyájan karjuk húsát eszik,

Jobbkézre vág és megéhezik, eszik balkézre és nem elégszik meg; mindnyájan karjoknak húsát eszik,

And he shall snatch on the right hand, and be hungry; and he shall eat on the left hand, and they shall not be satisfied: they shall eat every man the flesh of his own arm:

fiecare jefuieşte în dreapta, şi rămâne flămând, mănâncă în stânga, şi nu se satură. La urmă îşi mănâncă fiecare carnea braţului său:

They slice meat on the right, but are still hungry, and they devour on the left, but are not satisfied; each devours the flesh of his own arm,

Manassé Efraimot és Efraim Manassét, s mindketten fölkelnek Júda ellen. De mindezzel még nem múlt el haragja, és keze még föl van emelve.

Manasseh, Ephraim; and Ephraim, Manasseh: and they together shall be against Judah. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.

Manase mănâncă pe Efraim, Efraim, pe Manase, şi amândoi împreună, pe Iuda. Cu toate acestea, mânia Lui nu se potoleşte, şi mâna Lui este tot întinsă.

Manasseh devours Ephraim, and Ephraim devours Manasseh; together they are against Judah. For all this his anger has not turned away, and his hand is stretched out still.
