Jaj azoknak, akik gonosz rendeleteket hoznak, és a jegyzőknek, akik elnyomó rendeleteket jegyeznek be,

Jaj a hamis határozatok határozóinak, és a jegyzőknek, a kik gonoszt jegyeznek,

Woe unto them that decree unrighteous decrees, and that write grievousness which they have prescribed;

„Vai de cei ce rostesc hotărâri nelegiuite şi de cei ce scriu porunci nedrepte

Woe to those who decree iniquitous decrees, and the writers who keep writing oppression,

mert a gyöngéket elriasztják a törvénykezéstől, és elrabolják népem szegényeinek igazságát. Az özvegyek prédául lesznek nekik, az árvák pedig zsákmányul.

Hogy elriaszszák a gyöngéket a törvénykezéstől, s elrabolják népem szegényeinek igazságát, hogy legyenek az özvegyek az ő prédájok, és az árvákban zsákmányt vessenek.

To turn aside the needy from judgment, and to take away the right from the poor of my people, that widows may be their prey, and that they may rob the fatherless!

ca să nu facă dreptate săracilor şi să răpească dreptul nenorociţilor poporului Meu, ca să facă pe văduve prada lor şi să jefuiască pe orfani!

to turn aside the needy from justice and to rob the poor of my people of their right, that widows may be their spoil, and that they may make the fatherless their prey!

De vajon mit fogtok tenni a meglátogatás és a messziről rátok jövő pusztulás napján? Kihez futtok segítségért, és hol hagyjátok dicsőségeteket?

S vajjon mit míveltek a meglátogatásnak és a messzünnen rátok jövő pusztulásnak napján? Kihez futtok segítségért, és hol hagyjátok dicsőségeteket?

And what will ye do in the day of visitation, and in the desolation which shall come from far? to whom will ye flee for help? and where will ye leave your glory?

Ce veţi face voi în ziua pedepsei şi a pieirii, care va veni din depărtare peste voi? La cine veţi fugi după ajutor şi unde vă veţi lăsa bogăţia?

What will you do on the day of punishment, in the ruin that will come from afar? To whom will you flee for help, and where will you leave your wealth?

Bizony nem marad más, mint a foglyok közé esni vagy a megöltek közé hullani. Mindezzel még nem múlt el haragja, és keze még föl van emelve.

Bizony csak: a foglyok alá hanyatlanak és a megölettek alá hullanak; mind ezekkel haragja el nem múlt, és keze még felemelve van.

Without me they shall bow down under the prisoners, and they shall fall under the slain. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.

Unii vor fi îngenuncheaţi între cei prinşi în război, iar alţii vor cădea între cei morţi.” Cu toate acestea, mânia Lui nu se potoleşte, şi mâna Lui tot întinsă este.

Nothing remains but to crouch among the prisoners or fall among the slain. For all this his anger has not turned away, and his hand is stretched out still.

Jaj Asszíriának, haragom botjának, mert kezében van fölindulásom vesszeje!

Jaj Assiriának, haragom botjának, mert pálcza az ő kezében az én búsulásom!

O Assyrian, the rod of mine anger, and the staff in their hand is mine indignation.

„Vai de asirian – zice Domnul – nuiaua mâniei Mele, care poartă în mână toiagul urgiei Mele!

Woe to Assyria, the rod of my anger; the staff in their hands is my fury!

Istentelen nemzet ellen küldöm őt, és haragom népe ellen rendeltem, hogy prédát szerezzen, zsákmányt ejtsen, és eltapossa, mint az utca sarát.

Istentelen nemzetség ellen küldtem őt, és haragom népe ellen rendelém, hogy prédáljon és zsákmányt vessen, és eltapodja azt, mint az utczák sarát.

I will send him against an hypocritical nation, and against the people of my wrath will I give him a charge, to take the spoil, and to take the prey, and to tread them down like the mire of the streets.

I-am dat drumul împotriva unui neam nelegiuit, l-am trimis împotriva unui popor pe care sunt mâniat, ca să-l prade şi să-l jefuiască, să-l calce în picioare ca noroiul de pe uliţe.

Against a godless nation I send him, and against the people of my wrath I command him, to take spoil and seize plunder, and to tread them down like the mire of the streets.

De ő nem így vélekedik, szíve nem így gondolja, mert szíve szerint pusztítani akar, és sok népet kigyomlálni.

Howbeit he meaneth not so, neither doth his heart think so; but it is in his heart to destroy and cut off nations not a few.

Dar el nu judecă aşa şi nu acesta este gândul inimii lui; ci el nu se gândeşte decât să nimicească, decât să prăpădească neamurile cu grămada.

But he does not so intend, and his heart does not so think; but it is in his heart to destroy, and to cut off nations not a few;

Mert így szól: Vezéreim nem mind királyok-e?

Mert így szól: Vajjon vezéreim nem mind királyok-é?

For he saith, Are not my princes altogether kings?

Căci el zice: „Nu sunt voievozii mei tot atâţia împăraţi?

for he says: “Are not my commanders all kings?

Nem járt-e Kalnó ugyanúgy, mint Karkemis és Hamát, mint Arpád és Samária és mint Damaszkusz?

Nem úgy [megvettem-é] Kalnót, mint Kárkemist? És Hamáthot, mint Arphádot? És Samariát, mint Damaskust?

Is not Calno as Carchemish? is not Hamath as Arpad? is not Samaria as Damascus?

Nu s-a întâmplat cu Calno la fel ca şi cu Carchemişul? Nu s-a întâmplat cu Hamatul ca şi cu Arpadul? Nu s-a întâmplat Samariei la fel ca Damascului?

Is not Calno like Carchemish? Is not Hamath like Arpad? Is not Samaria like Damascus?

Ahogyan kezem elérte a bálványok országait, noha több faragott képük volt, mint Jeruzsálemnek és Samáriának,

Miképen megtalálta volt kezem a bálványok országait, holott pedig több faragott képük volt, mint Jeruzsálemnek és Samariának,

As my hand hath found the kingdoms of the idols, and whose graven images did excel them of Jerusalem and of Samaria;

După cum mâna mea a pus stăpânire pe împărăţiile idolilor (unde erau mai multe icoane decât la Ierusalim şi în Samaria),

As my hand has reached to the kingdoms of the idols, whose carved images were greater than those of Jerusalem and Samaria,

vagy ahogyan Samáriával és bálványaival cselekedtem, úgy cselekszem majd Jeruzsálemmel és bálványképeivel.

Avagy a mint cselekedtem Samariával és az ő bálványaival; nem úgy cselekedhetem-é Jeruzsálemmel és bálványképeivel?

Shall I not, as I have done unto Samaria and her idols, so do to Jerusalem and her idols?

cum am făcut Samariei şi idolilor ei, nu voi face şi Ierusalimului şi icoanelor lui?”

shall I not do to Jerusalem and her idols as I have done to Samaria and her images?”

Ezért ha majd befejezi az Úr minden dolgát Sion hegyén és Jeruzsálemben, meglátogatja az asszíriai király nagyravágyó szívének gyümölcsét és kevély szemének dicsekvését.

Ezért ha majd elvégezi az Úr minden dolgát Sion hegyén és Jeruzsálemben, meglátogatom az Assiriabeli király nagyakaró szíve gyümölcsét és nagyralátó szeme kevélységét.

Wherefore it shall come to pass, that when the Lord hath performed his whole work upon mount Zion and on Jerusalem, I will punish the fruit of the stout heart of the king of Assyria, and the glory of his high looks.

„Dar, după ce Domnul Îşi va împlini toată lucrarea Lui pe muntele Sionului şi la Ierusalim, voi pedepsi – zice Domnul – pe împăratul Asiriei pentru rodul inimii lui îngâmfate şi pentru trufia privirilor lui semeţe,

When the Lord has finished all his work on Mount Zion and on Jerusalem, he will punish the speech of the arrogant heart of the king of Assyria and the boastful look in his eyes.

Mert azt mondta: Kezem erejével tettem ezt és saját bölcsességemmel, mivel okos vagyok. Elmozdítottam a népek határait, kincseiktől megfosztottam őket, és mint erős, letaszítottam a magasan ülőket.

Mert ezt mondá: Kezem erejével míveltem [ezt] és bölcseségemmel, mivel okos vagyok; elvetettem [sok] népeknek határit, és kincseikben zsákmányt vetettem, és leszállítám, mint erős, a [magasan] ülőket;

For he saith, By the strength of my hand I have done it, and by my wisdom; for I am prudent: and I have removed the bounds of the people, and have robbed their treasures, and I have put down the inhabitants like a valiant man:

căci el a zis: „Prin puterea mâinii mele am făcut aceste lucruri şi prin înţelepciunea mea – căci sunt priceput – am împins înapoi hotarele popoarelor şi le-am jefuit vistieriile, şi, ca un viteaz, am dat jos pe cei ce şedeau pe scaunele lor de domnie;

For he says: “By the strength of my hand I have done it, and by my wisdom, for I have understanding; I remove the boundaries of peoples, and plunder their treasures; like a bull I bring down those who sit on thrones.

Kezem elérte a népek kincseit, mint egy fészket, és amilyen könnyen elszedik az elhagyott tojásokat, úgy foglaltam el az egész földet. Nem volt senki, aki szárnyát mozdította, csőrét kinyitotta volna, vagy csak csipogott volna!

És kezem úgy találta mintegy fészket a népek gazdagságát; és a mily [könnyen] elszedik az elhagyott tojásokat, azonképen foglaltam én el az egész földet; és nem volt senki, a ki szárnyát mozdította, vagy száját megnyitotta, vagy csak sipogott volna is!

And my hand hath found as a nest the riches of the people: and as one gathereth eggs that are left, have I gathered all the earth; and there was none that moved the wing, or opened the mouth, or peeped.

am pus mâna pe bogăţiile popoarelor ca pe un cuib şi cum se strâng nişte ouă părăsite, aşa am strâns eu tot pământul: niciunul n-a mişcat vreo aripă, nici n-a deschis ciocul ca să ciripească.”

My hand has found like a nest the wealth of the peoples; and as one gathers eggs that have been forsaken, so I have gathered all the earth; and there was none that moved a wing or opened the mouth or chirped.”

Dicsekszik-e a fejsze azzal szemben, aki vág vele? Vagy büszkélkedik-e a fűrész azzal szemben, aki húzza? Mintha a bot lengetné azt, aki fölemelte, és a vessző emelné föl azt, aki nem fából való.

Avagy dicsekszik-é a fejsze azzal szemben, a ki vele vág? vagy a fűrész felemeli-é magát az ellen, a ki vonsza azt? Mintha a bot forgatná azt, a ki őt felemelé, és a pálcza felemelné [azt, a mi] nem fa!

Shall the axe boast itself against him that heweth therewith? or shall the saw magnify itself against him that shaketh it? as if the rod should shake itself against them that lift it up, or as if the staff should lift up itself, as if it were no wood.

Se făleşte oare securea împotriva celui ce se slujeşte de ea? Sau se mândreşte ferăstrăul faţă de cel ce-l mânuieşte? Ca şi cum nuiaua ar mişca pe cel ce o ridică, parcă toiagul ar ridica pe cel ce nu este de lemn!

Shall the axe boast over him who hews with it, or the saw magnify itself against him who wields it? As if a rod should wield him who lifts it, or as if a staff should lift him who is not wood!

Ezért az Úr, a Seregek URa sorvadást bocsát kövéreire, és dicsősége alatt olyan égés támad, mint a tűzvész.

Azért az Úr, a seregek Ura kövéreire ösztövérséget bocsát, és az ő dicsősége alatt égés ég, miként a tűz égése;

Therefore shall the Lord, the Lord of hosts, send among his fat ones leanness; and under his glory he shall kindle a burning like the burning of a fire.

De aceea, Domnul Dumnezeul oştirilor va trimite ofilirea prin războinicii lui cei voinici; şi între aleşii lui va izbucni un pârjol, ca pârjolul unui foc.

Therefore the Lord GOD of hosts will send wasting sickness among his stout warriors, and under his glory a burning will be kindled, like the burning of fire.

Izráel Világossága tűz gyanánt lesz, és annak Szentje láng gyanánt, amely ég, és megemészti egyazon napon a gazt és a tövisét.

És lészen Izráel világossága tűz gyanánt, és annak Szentje láng gyanánt, és ég és megemészti gazzát és tövisét egy napon;

And the light of Israel shall be for a fire, and his Holy One for a flame: and it shall burn and devour his thorns and his briers in one day;

Lumina lui Israel se va preface în foc, şi Sfântul lui într-o flacără care va mistui şi va arde spinii şi mărăcinii lui, într-o zi.

The light of Israel will become a fire, and his Holy One a flame, and it will burn and devour his thorns and briers in one day.

Erdejének és kertjének ékességét pedig testestül-lelkestül megemészti, és elsorvad, mint egy beteg.

Az ő erdejének és kertjének ékességét pedig lelkétől mind testéig megemészti, és lesorvad, mint a sorvadozó;

And shall consume the glory of his forest, and of his fruitful field, both soul and body: and they shall be as when a standard-bearer fainteth.

Va arde, trup şi suflet, strălucirea pădurii şi câmpiilor lui, de va fi ca un bolnav care cade în leşin.

The glory of his forest and of his fruitful land the LORD will destroy, both soul and body, and it will be as when a sick man wastes away.

Erdeje fáiból oly kevés marad, hogy azokat egy gyermek is össze tudja írni.

Erdője fáinak maradéka kicsiny lészen, és azokat egy gyermek is felírhatja!

And the rest of the trees of his forest shall be few, that a child may write them.

Ceilalţi copaci din pădurea lui vor putea fi număraţi, şi un copil le-ar putea scrie numărul.

The remnant of the trees of his forest will be so few that a child can write them down.

Azon a napon Izráel maradéka, és aki megmenekült Jákób házából, nem támaszkodik többé nyomorgatóira, hanem az ÚRra, Izráel Szentjére támaszkodik hűségesen.

És lészen ama napon, hogy többé nem támaszkodik Izráel maradéka és a ki megmaradt Jákób házából, az őt nyomorgatóhoz, hanem támaszkodik az Úrhoz, Izráel Szentjéhez hűségesen;

And it shall come to pass in that day, that the remnant of Israel, and such as are escaped of the house of Jacob, shall no more again stay upon him that smote them; but shall stay upon the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, in truth.

În ziua aceea, rămăşiţa lui Israel şi cei scăpaţi din casa lui Iacov nu se vor mai sprijini pe cel ce îi lovea; ci se vor sprijini cu încredere pe Domnul, Sfântul lui Israel.

In that day the remnant of Israel and the survivors of the house of Jacob will no more lean on him who struck them, but will lean on the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, in truth.

The remnant shall return, even the remnant of Jacob, unto the mighty God.

O rămăşiţă, rămăşiţa lui Iacov, se va întoarce la Dumnezeul cel puternic.

A remnant will return, the remnant of Jacob, to the mighty God.

Mert ha annyi lenne is néped, Izráel, mint a tenger homokja, csak a maradéka tér meg. El van határozva a pusztulás, kiárad az igazság!

Mert ha néped Izráel számszerint annyi lenne is, mint a tenger fövenye, [csak] maradéka tér meg; az elvégezett pusztulás elárad igazsággal!

For though thy people Israel be as the sand of the sea, yet a remnant of them shall return: the consumption decreed shall overflow with righteousness.

Chiar dacă poporul tău, Israele, ar fi ca nisipul mării, totuşi numai o rămăşiţă se va întoarce, căci nimicirea este hotărâtă, făcând să se reverse dreptatea.

For though your people Israel be as the sand of the sea, only a remnant of them will return. Destruction is decreed, overflowing with righteousness.

Mert előre elhatározott pusztítást visz véghez az Úr, a Seregek URa az egész országban.

Mert elvégezett pusztítást cselekszik az Úr, a seregek Ura, mind az egész földön.

For the Lord GOD of hosts shall make a consumption, even determined, in the midst of all the land.

Şi nimicirea aceasta care a fost hotărâtă, Domnul Dumnezeul oştirilor o va aduce la îndeplinire în toată ţara.

For the Lord GOD of hosts will make a full end, as decreed, in the midst of all the earth.

Azért így szól az Úr, a Seregek URa: Ne félj, népem, Sion lakosa Asszíriától, bár megver téged botjával, és fölemeli rád vesszejét, miként egykor Egyiptom!

Azért így szól az Úr, a seregeknek Ura: Ne félj népem, Sionnak lakosa, az Assiriabeli királytól! [bár] botjával megver tégedet és pálczáját felemeli rád, miként Égyiptom egykoron;

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD of hosts, O my people that dwellest in Zion, be not afraid of the Assyrian: he shall smite thee with a rod, and shall lift up his staff against thee, after the manner of Egypt.

Totuşi aşa vorbeşte Domnul Dumnezeul oştirilor: „Poporul Meu, care locuieşti în Sion, nu te teme de asirian; da, el te loveşte cu nuiaua şi îşi ridică toiagul asupra ta cum făceau egiptenii.

Therefore thus says the Lord GOD of hosts: “O my people, who dwell in Zion, be not afraid of the Assyrians when they strike with the rod and lift up their staff against you as the Egyptians did.

Mert még egy kevés idő, és megszűnik fölindulásom, és haragom megemészti őket.

Mert még csak egy kevés idő van: és elfogy búsulásom, és haragom az ő megemésztésökre lészen!

For yet a very little while, and the indignation shall cease, and mine anger in their destruction.

Dar, peste puţină vreme, pedeapsa va înceta, şi mânia Mea se va întoarce împotriva lui, ca să-l nimicească.”

For in a very little while my fury will come to an end, and my anger will be directed to their destruction.

A Seregek URa ostort emel ellenük, ahogyan leverte Midjánt Óreb kőszikláján, és botját a tenger fölé emeli, mint egykor Egyiptomban.

És a seregeknek Ura ostort emel ő ellenök, miként a Midián levágatása idején az Oreb kőszikláján, és pálczáját a tenger fölé emeli, mint Égyiptomban egykoron.

And the LORD of hosts shall stir up a scourge for him according to the slaughter of Midian at the rock of Oreb: and as his rod was upon the sea, so shall he lift it up after the manner of Egypt.

Domnul oştirilor va învârti biciul împotriva lui, cum a lovit pe Madian la stânca Oreb; şi Îşi va mai ridica toiagul o dată asupra mării, ca odinioară în Egipt.

And the LORD of hosts will wield against them a whip, as when he struck Midian at the rock of Oreb. And his staff will be over the sea, and he will lift it as he did in Egypt.

Azon a napon lekerül terhe válladról és igája nyakadról, a kövérség miatt letörik igája.

És lesz ama napon: eltávozik az ő terhe válladról és igája nyakadról, és megromol az iga a kövérségnek miatta.

And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.

În ziua aceea se va lua povara lui de pe umărul tău, şi jugul lui, de pe gâtul tău, ba încă jugul va crăpa de grăsime.

And in that day his burden will depart from your shoulder, and his yoke from your neck; and the yoke will be broken because of the fat.”

Ajba jön, átvonul Migrónon, Mikmásnál rakja le harci szerszámait.

Ajjáthba jő, Migronba átsiet, Mikhmásnál rakja le hadakozó szerszámait;

He is come to Aiath, he is passed to Migron; at Michmash he hath laid up his carriages:

El vine asupra Aiatului, străbate Migronul, îşi lasă calabalâcul la Micmaş.

He has come to Aiath; he has passed through Migron; at Michmash he stores his baggage;

Átmennek a szoroson, Gebában lesz szálláshelyük. Megrémül Ráma, Saul városa, Gibea elmenekül.

Átmennek a szoroson, Gébában lesz hálóhelyünk; megrémül Ráma, Gibea, Saulnak [városa] elfut.

They are gone over the passage: they have taken up their lodging at Geba; Ramah is afraid; Gibeah of Saul is fled.

Trec trecătoarea, se culcă la Gheba; Rama tremură, Ghibeea lui Saul o ia la fugă. –

they have crossed over the pass; at Geba they lodge for the night; Ramah trembles; Gibeah of Saul has fled.

Kiálts, Gallím leánya, vedd füledbe, Lais és szegény Anatót!

Kiálts Gallim leánya, és vedd füleidbe Laisa, [és] szegény Anathóth!

Lift up thy voice, O daughter of Gallim: cause it to be heard unto Laish, O poor Anathoth.

Ridică-ţi glasul, fiica Galimului! Ia seama, Lais! Vai de tine, Anatot! –

Cry aloud, O daughter of Gallim! Give attention, O Laishah! O poor Anathoth!

Madméná menekül, Gébim lakói mentik övéiket.

Madména megindul, Gébim lakosai mentik [övéiket;]

Madmenah is removed; the inhabitants of Gebim gather themselves to flee.

Madmena se împrăştie, locuitorii din Ghebim fug.

Madmenah is in flight; the inhabitants of Gebim flee for safety.

Még ma Nóbba megy, hogy ott megálljon, és öklét rázza Sion leányának hegye és Jeruzsálem halma ellen!

Még Nóbba [megyen] ma, hogy ott megálljon, és emeli már kezét Sion leányának hegye és Jeruzsálemnek halma ellen!

As yet shall he remain at Nob that day: he shall shake his hand against the mount of the daughter of Zion, the hill of Jerusalem.

Încă o zi de oprire la Nob, şi ameninţă cu mâna lui muntele fiicei Sionului, dealul Ierusalimului.

This very day he will halt at Nob; he will shake his fist at the mount of the daughter of Zion, the hill of Jerusalem.

De íme, az Úr, a Seregek URa levagdalja az ágakat rémítő hatalommal, a sudár termetűeket kivágja, és a magasba törőket megalázza.

De ímé az Úr, a seregeknek Ura: levagdalja az ágakat rémítő [hatalom]mal, és a magas termetűek kivágattatnak, és a magasságosak megaláztatnak;

Behold, the Lord, the LORD of hosts, shall lop the bough with terror: and the high ones of stature shall be hewn down, and the haughty shall be humbled.

Iată, Domnul Dumnezeul oştirilor taie crăcile cu putere; cei mai mari sunt tăiaţi, cei mai înalţi sunt doborâţi.

Behold, the Lord GOD of hosts will lop the boughs with terrifying power; the great in height will be hewn down, and the lofty will be brought low.

Fejszével vágja ki az erdő sűrű ágait, és megdől a Libánon a Hatalmas által.

Az erdő sűrű ágait levágja vassal, és megdől a Libánon egy hatalmas által.

And he shall cut down the thickets of the forest with iron, and Lebanon shall fall by a mighty one.

Dă jos cu fierul crângul pădurii, şi Libanul cade sub mâna Celui Puternic.

He will cut down the thickets of the forest with an axe, and Lebanon will fall by the Majestic One.
