Ezékiás király tizennegyedik esztendejében feljött Szanhérib asszír király Júda minden megerősített városa ellen, és bevette őket.

És lőn Ezékiás király tizennegyedik esztendejében, feljöve Szanhérib assir király Júdának minden erős városai ellen, és azokat megvevé.

Now it came to pass in the fourteenth year of king Hezekiah, that Sennacherib king of Assyria came up against all the defenced cities of Judah, and took them.

În al paisprezecelea an al împăratului Ezechia, Sanherib, împăratul Asiriei, s-a suit împotriva tuturor cetăţilor întărite ale lui Iuda, şi le-a luat.

In the fourteenth year of King Hezekiah, Sennacherib king of Assyria came up against all the fortified cities of Judah and took them.

Azután Asszíria királya elküldte Rabsakét Lákisból Jeruzsálembe, Ezékiás királyhoz nagy sereggel. Az megállt a Felső-tó folyásánál, amely a Ruhamosók mezejének útjánál van.

És elküldé Assiria királya Rabsakét Lákisból Jeruzsálembe, Ezékiás királyhoz nagy sereggel, ki is megállt a felső tó folyásánál, a ruhamosók mezejének útján.

And the king of Assyria sent Rabshakeh from Lachish to Jerusalem unto king Hezekiah with a great army. And he stood by the conduit of the upper pool in the highway of the fuller's field.

Şi împăratul Asiriei a trimis din Lachis la Ierusalim, la împăratul Ezechia, pe Rabşache cu o puternică oştire. Rabşache s-a oprit la canalul de apă al iazului de sus, pe drumul ogorului înălbitorului.

And the king of Assyria sent the Rabshakeh from Lachish to King Hezekiah at Jerusalem, with a great army. And he stood by the conduit of the upper pool on the highway to the Washer’s Field.

Kiment hozzá Eljákim, Hilkijjáhú fia, az udvarnagy, Sebná, a kancellár és Jóáh, Aszáf fia, a krónikás.

És kijöve hozzá Eljákim a Hilkiás fia az udvarnagy, és Sebna az íródeák, és Jóák Asáfnak fia az emlékíró.

Then came forth unto him Eliakim, Hilkiah's son, which was over the house, and Shebna the scribe, and Joah, Asaph's son, the recorder.

Atunci Eliachim, fiul lui Hilchia, căpetenia casei împăratului, s-a dus la el cu logofătul Şebna şi cu Ioah, fiul lui Asaf, scriitorul (arhivarul).

And there came out to him Eliakim the son of Hilkiah, who was over the household, and Shebna the secretary, and Joah the son of Asaph, the recorder.

Rabsaké azt mondta nekik: Mondjátok meg Ezékiásnak: „Így szól a nagy király, Asszíria királya: Milyen bizodalom az, amelyre támaszkodsz?

És mondá nékik Rabsaké: Mondjátok meg kérlek Ezékiásnak, így szól a nagy király, Assiria királya: Micsoda bizodalom ez, melyre támaszkodol?

And Rabshakeh said unto them, Say ye now to Hezekiah, Thus saith the great king, the king of Assyria, What confidence is this wherein thou trustest?

Rabşache le-a zis: „Spuneţi lui Ezechia: „Aşa vorbeşte marele împărat, împăratul Asiriei: „Ce este încrederea aceasta pe care te bizui?”

And the Rabshakeh said to them, “Say to Hezekiah, ‘Thus says the great king, the king of Assyria: On what do you rest this trust of yours?

Azt mondom, hogy csak üres beszéd az, hogy ész és erő van nálatok a háborúhoz. Hát kiben bízol, hogy ellenem támadtál?

Azt mondom, hogy csak szóbeszéd az, hogy ész és erő van [nálatok] a háborúhoz; no hát kiben bízol, hogy ellenem feltámadál?

I say, sayest thou, (but they are but vain words) I have counsel and strength for war: now on whom dost thou trust, that thou rebellest against me?

Eu îţi spun că acestea sunt vorbe în vânt: pentru război trebuie chibzuiţă şi putere. În cine ţi-ai pus, dar, încrederea, de te-ai răsculat împotriva mea?

Do you think that mere words are strategy and power for war? In whom do you now trust, that you have rebelled against me?

Íme, te Egyiptomban, e megtört nádszálban bízol, pedig aki rá támaszkodik, annak belemegy a tenyerébe, és átszúrja azt. Ilyen a fáraó, Egyiptom királya mindenkihez, aki benne bízik.

Ímé te e megtört nádszálban bízol, Égyiptomban, melyre a ki támaszkodik, tenyerébe megy és átfúrja azt; ilyen a Faraó, Égyiptomnak királya, minden benne bízóknak.

Lo, thou trustest in the staff of this broken reed, on Egypt; whereon if a man lean, it will go into his hand, and pierce it: so is Pharaoh king of Egypt to all that trust in him.

Iată, ai pus-o în Egipt, ai luat ca sprijin această trestie ruptă, care înţeapă şi străpunge mâna oricui se sprijină pe ea! Aşa este faraon, împăratul Egiptului, pentru toţi cei ce se încred în el.

Behold, you are trusting in Egypt, that broken reed of a staff, which will pierce the hand of any man who leans on it. Such is Pharaoh king of Egypt to all who trust in him.

Vagy azt mondod nekem: Az ÚRban, a mi Istenünkben bízunk?! Vajon nem ő az, akinek magaslatait és oltárait Ezékiás leromboltatta, és azt mondta Júdának és Jeruzsálemnek: ez előtt az oltár előtt boruljatok le?

És ha azt mondod nékem: az Úrban, a mi Istenünkben bízunk: vajjon nem Ő- é az, a kinek magaslatait és oltárait elrontotta Ezékiás, és ezt mondá Júdának és Jeruzsálemnek: Ez előtt az oltár előtt hajoljatok meg.

But if thou say to me, We trust in the LORD our God: is it not he, whose high places and whose altars Hezekiah hath taken away, and said to Judah and to Jerusalem, Ye shall worship before this altar?

Dar poate că îmi vei spune: „Ne încredem în Domnul Dumnezeul nostru!” Dar nu este El acela ale cărui înălţimi şi altare le-a îndepărtat Ezechia, zicând lui Iuda şi Ierusalimului: „Să vă închinaţi înaintea acestui altar”?”

But if you say to me, “We trust in the LORD our God,” is it not he whose high places and altars Hezekiah has removed, saying to Judah and to Jerusalem, “You shall worship before this altar”?

Most azért fogadj hát az én urammal, az asszír királlyal, és adok neked kétezer lovat, ha ugyan tudsz lovasokat ültetni rájuk.

Most azért harczolj meg, kérlek, az én urammal, az assir királylyal, és adok néked két ezer lovat, ha ugyan tudsz lovagokat ültetni reájok.

Now therefore give pledges, I pray thee, to my master the king of Assyria, and I will give thee two thousand horses, if thou be able on thy part to set riders upon them.

Acum fă o învoială cu stăpânul meu, împăratul Asiriei, şi-ţi voi da două mii de cai; să vedem dacă poţi face rost de călăreţi ca să încalece pe ei!

Come now, make a wager with my master the king of Assyria: I will give you two thousand horses, if you are able on your part to set riders on them.

Hogyan állhatnál ellen egyetlen helytartónak is uram legkisebb szolgái közül? Vagy Egyiptomban bízol a harci szekerei és lovasai miatt?

Miképen állasz ellene egyetlen helytartónak is, a ki legkisebb az uram szolgái közt? De hisz Égyiptomban van bizalmad, a szekerekért és lovagokért.

How then wilt thou turn away the face of one captain of the least of my master's servants, and put thy trust on Egypt for chariots and for horsemen?

Cum ai putea să stai tu împotriva unei singure căpetenii, dintre cei mai neînsemnaţi slujitori ai stăpânului meu? Şi totuşi tu îţi pui încrederea în Egipt pentru care şi pentru călăreţi.

How then can you repulse a single captain among the least of my master’s servants, when you trust in Egypt for chariots and for horsemen?

Most talán az ÚR tudta nélkül jöttem e föld ellen, hogy elpusztítsam? Az ÚR mondta nekem: Menj ez ellen a föld ellen, és pusztítsd el!”

És most [talán] az Úr nélkül jöttem én e földre, hogy elpusztítsam azt? Az Úr mondá nékem: Menj a földre, és pusztítsd el azt!

And am I now come up without the LORD against this land to destroy it? the LORD said unto me, Go up against this land, and destroy it.

Şi apoi, fără voia Domnului m-am suit eu împotriva ţării acesteia s-o nimicesc? Domnul mi-a zis: „Suie-te împotriva ţării acesteia şi nimiceşte-o!”

Moreover, is it without the LORD that I have come up against this land to destroy it? The LORD said to me, “Go up against this land and destroy it.”’”

Akkor Eljákim, Sebná és Jóáh ezt mondta Rabsakénak: Szólj, kérünk, szolgáidhoz arám nyelven, mert megértjük azt. Ne szólj hozzánk júdai nyelven, a kőfalon levő hadi nép füle hallatára.

És mondá Eljákim és Sebna és Jóák Rabsakénak: Szólj, kérünk, szolgáidhoz arám nyelven, mert értjük azt, és ne zsidóul szólj hozzánk, e kőfalon levő nép füle hallatára.

Then said Eliakim and Shebna and Joah unto Rabshakeh, Speak, I pray thee, unto thy servants in the Syrian language; for we understand it: and speak not to us in the Jews' language, in the ears of the people that are on the wall.

Eliachim, Şebna şi Ioah au zis lui Rabşache: „Vorbeşte robilor tăi în limba aramaică, fiindcă o înţelegem; nu ne vorbi în limba evreiască, în auzul poporului care este pe zid.”

Then Eliakim, Shebna, and Joah said to the Rabshakeh, “Please speak to your servants in Aramaic, for we understand it. Do not speak to us in the language of Judah within the hearing of the people who are on the wall.”

De Rabsaké azt mondta: Vajon a te uradhoz és tehozzád küldött engem az én uram, hogy ezeket elmondjam? Nem inkább azokhoz az emberekhez-e, akik a kőfalon ülnek, s akiknek majd veletek együtt kell saját ganéjukat enniük, és vizeletüket inniuk?

És mondá Rabsaké: Avagy a te uradhoz, vagy te hozzád küldött engem az én uram, hogy ezeket elmondjam? és nem az emberekhez-é, a kik ülnek a kőfalon, hogy egyék ganéjokat és igyák vizeletöket veletek együtt?!

But Rabshakeh said, Hath my master sent me to thy master and to thee to speak these words? hath he not sent me to the men that sit upon the wall, that they may eat their own dung, and drink their own piss with you?

Rabşache a răspuns: „Oare stăpânului tău şi ţie m-a trimis stăpânul meu să spun aceste cuvinte? Nu m-a trimis el să le spun oamenilor acestora care şed pe zid ca să-şi mănânce balega şi să-şi bea udul împreună cu voi?”

But the Rabshakeh said, “Has my master sent me to speak these words to your master and to you, and not to the men sitting on the wall, who are doomed with you to eat their own dung and drink their own urine?”

Akkor odaállt Rabsaké, és hangosan így kiáltott júdai nyelven: Halljátok a nagy királynak, Asszíria királyának az üzenetét!

És odaálla Rabsaké, és kiálta felszóval zsidóul, és mondá: Halljátok a nagy királynak, Assiria királyának beszédit!

Then Rabshakeh stood, and cried with a loud voice in the Jews' language, and said, Hear ye the words of the great king, the king of Assyria.

Apoi Rabşache a înaintat şi a strigat cu toată puterea lui în limba evreiască: „Ascultaţi cuvintele marelui împărat, împăratul Asiriei!

Then the Rabshakeh stood and called out in a loud voice in the language of Judah: “Hear the words of the great king, the king of Assyria!

Ezt mondja a király: Ne hagyjátok, hogy megcsaljon benneteket Ezékiás, mert nem szabadíthat meg titeket.

Ezt mondja a király: Meg ne csaljon benneteket Ezékiás, mert nem szabadíthat meg titeket.

Thus saith the king, Let not Hezekiah deceive you: for he shall not be able to deliver you.

Aşa vorbeşte împăratul: „Nu vă lăsaţi amăgiţi de Ezechia, căci nu va putea să vă izbăvească.

Thus says the king: ‘Do not let Hezekiah deceive you, for he will not be able to deliver you.

És ne hagyjátok, hogy Ezékiás az ÚRral biztasson titeket, és ezt mondja: Biztos, hogy megszabadít bennünket az ÚR, nem kerül ez a város az asszíriai király kezébe!

És ne biztasson titeket Ezékiás az Úrral, mondván: Kétségtelen megszabadít az Úr minket, nem adatik e város az assiriai király kezébe!

Neither let Hezekiah make you trust in the LORD, saying, The LORD will surely deliver us: this city shall not be delivered into the hand of the king of Assyria.

Nu vă lăsaţi mângâiaţi de Ezechia cu încrederea în Domnul, când vă zice: „Domnul ne va izbăvi, şi cetatea aceasta nu va fi dată în mâinile împăratului Asiriei.”

Do not let Hezekiah make you trust in the LORD by saying, “The LORD will surely deliver us. This city will not be given into the hand of the king of Assyria.”

Ne hallgassatok Ezékiásra, mert azt mondja Asszíria királya: Kössetek békét velem, és jöjjetek ki hozzám! Akkor mindenki ehet szőlőjéből és olajfájáról, és ihat kútjának vizéből,

Ezékiásra ne hallgassatok, mert azt mondja Assiria királya: Tegyetek velem szövetséget és jőjjetek ki hozzám, és akkor kiki ehetik szőlőjéből és az ő olajfájáról, és ihatja kútjának vizét.

Hearken not to Hezekiah: for thus saith the king of Assyria, Make an agreement with me by a present, and come out to me: and eat ye every one of his vine, and every one of his fig tree, and drink ye every one the waters of his own cistern;

Nu ascultaţi pe Ezechia. Căci aşa vorbeşte împăratul Asiriei: „Faceţi pace cu mine, supuneţi-vă mie, şi fiecare din voi va mânca din via lui şi din smochinul lui, şi va bea apă din fântâna lui,

Do not listen to Hezekiah. For thus says the king of Assyria: Make your peace with me and come out to me. Then each one of you will eat of his own vine, and each one of his own fig tree, and each one of you will drink the water of his own cistern,

amíg el nem jövök, és olyan földre nem viszlek titeket, amilyen a ti földetek: gabonát és mustot adó földre, kenyeret és szőlőt adó földre.

Míg eljövök és elviszlek titeket oly földre, minő a ti földetek, gabona és must földére, kenyér és szőlő földére.

Until I come and take you away to a land like your own land, a land of corn and wine, a land of bread and vineyards.

până voi veni şi vă voi lua într-o ţară ca a voastră, într-o ţară plină de grâu şi de vin, o ţară plină de pâine şi de vii.”

until I come and take you away to a land like your own land, a land of grain and wine, a land of bread and vineyards.

Nehogy rászedjen titeket Ezékiás e szavakkal: Az ÚR megszabadít minket! Megszabadította-e bármelyik nép földjét a maga istene Asszíria királyának a kezéből?

Rá ne szedjen titeket Ezékiás, mondván: Az Úr megszabadít minket! Avagy megszabadították-é a népek istenei, kiki az ő földét Assiria királyának kezéből?

Beware lest Hezekiah persuade you, saying, the LORD will deliver us. Hath any of the gods of the nations delivered his land out of the hand of the king of Assyria?

Nu vă lăsaţi amăgiţi de Ezechia, când vă zice: „Domnul ne va izbăvi.” Oare dumnezeii neamurilor au izbăvit ei fiecare ţara lui din mâna împăratului Asiriei?

Beware lest Hezekiah mislead you by saying, “The LORD will deliver us.” Has any of the gods of the nations delivered his land out of the hand of the king of Assyria?

Hol vannak Hamát és Arpád istenei? Hol vannak Szefarvaim istenei? Talán bizony megmentették Samáriát a kezemből?

Hol vannak Hamáth és Arphádnak istenei? hol Sefarvaimnak istenei? talán bizony megmentették Samariát kezemből?

Where are the gods of Hamath and Arphad? where are the gods of Sepharvaim? and have they delivered Samaria out of my hand?

Unde sunt dumnezeii Hamatului şi Arpadului? Unde sunt dumnezeii din Sefarvaim? Şi unde sunt dumnezeii Samariei? Au izbăvit ei Samaria din mâna mea?

Where are the gods of Hamath and Arpad? Where are the gods of Sepharvaim? Have they delivered Samaria out of my hand?

Ezeknek az országoknak az összes istene közül kicsoda az, aki meg tudta szabadítani országát az én kezemből? Hát az ÚR megszabadíthatja-e kezemből Jeruzsálemet?

Kicsoda e földek minden istenei között, a ki megszabadította volna földét kezemből, hogy az Úr megszabadítsa Jeruzsálemet az én kezemből?

Who are they among all the gods of these lands, that have delivered their land out of my hand, that the LORD should deliver Jerusalem out of my hand?

Dintre toţi dumnezeii acestor ţări, care din ei şi-a izbăvit ţara din mâna mea, pentru ca Domnul să izbăvească Ierusalimul din mâna mea?”

Who among all the gods of these lands have delivered their lands out of my hand, that the LORD should deliver Jerusalem out of my hand?’”

Ők pedig hallgattak, és egy szót sem feleltek, mert a király azt parancsolta: Ne feleljetek neki!

Ők pedig hallgatának, és egy szót sem feleltek, mert a király parancsolá így, mondván: Ne feleljetek néki!

But they held their peace, and answered him not a word: for the king's commandment was, saying, Answer him not.

Dar ei au tăcut şi nu i-au răspuns o vorbă; căci împăratul dăduse porunca aceasta: „Să nu-i răspundeţi!”

But they were silent and answered him not a word, for the king’s command was, “Do not answer him.”

Akkor Eljákim, Hilkijjáhú fia, az udvarnagy és Sebná, a kancellár és Jóáh, Aszáf fia, a krónikás elment Ezékiáshoz megszaggatott ruhában, és hírül adták neki Rabsaké beszédét.

Then came Eliakim, the son of Hilkiah, that was over the household, and Shebna the scribe, and Joah, the son of Asaph, the recorder, to Hezekiah with their clothes rent, and told him the words of Rabshakeh.

Şi Eliachim, fiul lui Hilchia, căpetenia casei împăratului, Şebna, logofătul, şi Ioah, fiul lui Asaf, scriitorul, au venit astfel la Ezechia cu hainele sfâşiate şi i-au spus cuvintele lui Rabşache.

Then Eliakim the son of Hilkiah, who was over the household, and Shebna the secretary, and Joah the son of Asaph, the recorder, came to Hezekiah with their clothes torn, and told him the words of the Rabshakeh.
