Amikor Ezékiás király meghallotta ezeket, megszaggatta ruháját, zsákruhába öltözött, és bement az ÚR házába.

And it came to pass, when king Hezekiah heard it, that he rent his clothes, and covered himself with sackcloth, and went into the house of the LORD.

As soon as King Hezekiah heard it, he tore his clothes and covered himself with sackcloth and went into the house of the LORD.

Majd elküldte Eljákimot, az udvarnagyot, Sebnát, a kancellárt és a papok zsákruhába öltözött véneit Ézsaiáshoz, Ámóc fiához, a prófétához.

And he sent Eliakim, who was over the household, and Shebna the scribe, and the elders of the priests covered with sackcloth, unto Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz.

A trimis pe Eliachim, căpetenia casei împăratului, pe Şebna, logofătul, şi pe cei mai bătrâni dintre preoţi, acoperiţi cu saci, la prorocul Isaia, fiul lui Amoţ.

And he sent Eliakim, who was over the household, and Shebna the secretary, and the senior priests, covered with sackcloth, to the prophet Isaiah the son of Amoz.

Azt mondták neki: Így szól Ezékiás: „Nyomorúságnak, büntetésnek és szégyennek napja ez a nap, mert szülésig jutottak a fiak, de nincs erő a szüléshez!

Kik mondának néki: Így szól Ezékiás: nyomornak, büntetésnek és káromlásnak napja e nap, mert szülésig jutottak a fiak, és erő nincs a szüléshez!

And they said unto him, Thus saith Hezekiah, This day is a day of trouble, and of rebuke, and of blasphemy: for the children are come to the birth, and there is not strength to bring forth.

Şi i-au zis: „Aşa vorbeşte Ezechia: „Ziua aceasta este o zi de necaz, de pedeapsă şi de ocară; căci copiii sunt aproape să iasă din pântecele mamei lor, şi totuşi mamele n-au putere să nască.

They said to him, “Thus says Hezekiah, ‘This day is a day of distress, of rebuke, and of disgrace; children have come to the point of birth, and there is no strength to bring them forth.

Talán meghallja az ÚR, a te Istened Rabsaké beszédét, akit ide küldött ura, az asszíriai király, hogy káromolja az élő Istent, és talán megtorolja azokat a beszédeket, amelyeket meghallott az ÚR, a te Istened. Te pedig imádkozz a maradékért, amely még megvan!”

Talán meghallja az Úr, a te Istened, a Rabsaké beszédeit, a kit elküldött az ő ura, az assiriai király, hogy káromolja az élő Istent, és szidalmazza azon beszédekkel, a melyeket hallott az Úr, a te Istened; és te könyörögj a maradékért, a mely megvan!

It may be the LORD thy God will hear the words of Rabshakeh, whom the king of Assyria his master hath sent to reproach the living God, and will reprove the words which the LORD thy God hath heard: wherefore lift up thy prayer for the remnant that is left.

Poate că Domnul Dumnezeul tău a auzit cuvintele lui Rabşache, pe care l-a trimis împăratul Asiriei, stăpânul său, să batjocorească pe Dumnezeul cel Viu, şi poate că Domnul Dumnezeul tău îl va pedepsi pentru cuvintele pe care le-a auzit. Înalţă, dar, o rugăciune pentru rămăşiţa care a mai rămas.”

It may be that the LORD your God will hear the words of the Rabshakeh, whom his master the king of Assyria has sent to mock the living God, and will rebuke the words that the LORD your God has heard; therefore lift up your prayer for the remnant that is left.’”

So the servants of king Hezekiah came to Isaiah.

And Isaiah said unto them, Thus shall ye say unto your master, Thus saith the LORD, Be not afraid of the words that thou hast heard, wherewith the servants of the king of Assyria have blasphemed me.

Şi Isaia le-a zis: „Iată ce veţi spune împăratului vostru: „Aşa vorbeşte Domnul: „Nu te înspăimânta de cuvintele pe care le-ai auzit şi prin care M-au batjocorit slujitorii împăratului Asiriei.

Isaiah said to them, “Say to your master, ‘Thus says the LORD: Do not be afraid because of the words that you have heard, with which the young men of the king of Assyria have reviled me.

Íme, én olyan lelket adok beléje, hogy hírt hallva, visszatérjen országába, és saját országában kard által ejtem el őt.”

Ímé, én oly lelket adok beléje, hogy hírt hallván, térjen vissza földére, és elejtem őt fegyver által az ő földében!

Behold, I will send a blast upon him, and he shall hear a rumour, and return to his own land; and I will cause him to fall by the sword in his own land.

Căci voi pune în el un duh de aşa fel, încât la o veste pe care o va primi, se va întoarce în ţara lui; şi-l voi face să cadă ucis de sabie în ţara lui.”

Behold, I will put a spirit in him, so that he shall hear a rumor and return to his own land, and I will make him fall by the sword in his own land.’”

Rabsaké pedig visszatért, de az asszíriai királyt már Libna ellen harcolva találta, mert hallotta, hogy elvonult Lákisból.

Rabsaké pedig visszatérvén, találá az assiriai királyt Libna ellen harczolni, mivel hallotta volt, hogy Lákistól elindult.

So Rabshakeh returned, and found the king of Assyria warring against Libnah: for he had heard that he was departed from Lachish.

The Rabshakeh returned, and found the king of Assyria fighting against Libnah, for he had heard that the king had left Lachish.

Az ugyanis Tirháká, Kús királya felől azt a hírt hallotta: „Eljött, hogy harcoljon ellened.” Ezt hallva követeket küldött Ezékiáshoz, e szavakkal:

És meghallván Tirháka, Kús királya felől e hírt: eljött, hogy ellened harczoljon; ezt meghallván, követeket külde Ezékiáshoz, mondván:

And he heard say concerning Tirhakah king of Ethiopia, He is come forth to make war with thee. And when he heard it, he sent messengers to Hezekiah, saying,

Atunci împăratul Asiriei a primit o veste despre Tirhaca, împăratul Etiopiei, prin care i se spunea: „El a pornit să-ţi facă război.” Cum a auzit lucrul acesta, a trimis soli la Ezechia, zicându-le:

Now the king heard concerning Tirhakah king of Cush, “He has set out to fight against you.” And when he heard it, he sent messengers to Hezekiah, saying,

Így szóljatok Ezékiáshoz, Júda királyához: „Meg ne csaljon Istened, akiben bízol, amikor ezt gondolod: nem adatik Jeruzsálem az asszíriai király kezébe!

Thus shall ye speak to Hezekiah king of Judah, saying, Let not thy God, in whom thou trustest, deceive thee, saying, Jerusalem shall not be given into the hand of the king of Assyria.

„Aşa să vorbiţi lui Ezechia, împăratul lui Iuda: „Nu te lăsa amăgit de Dumnezeul tău, în care te încrezi şi zici: „Ierusalimul nu va fi dat în mâinile împăratului Asiriei.”

“Thus shall you speak to Hezekiah king of Judah: ‘Do not let your God in whom you trust deceive you by promising that Jerusalem will not be given into the hand of the king of Assyria.

Hiszen hallottad, mit műveltek Asszíria királyai minden országgal: eltörölték őket. Vajon te hogyan szabadulhatnál meg?

Hiszen te hallottad, mit műveltek Assiria királyai minden országokkal, eltörölvén azokat, és te megszabadulnál?

Behold, thou hast heard what the kings of Assyria have done to all lands by destroying them utterly; and shalt thou be delivered?

Căci ai auzit ce au făcut împăraţii Asiriei tuturor ţărilor şi cum le-au nimicit cu desăvârşire; şi tu, să fii izbăvit?

Behold, you have heard what the kings of Assyria have done to all lands, devoting them to destruction. And shall you be delivered?

Hát megszabadították-e isteneik azokat a népeket, amelyeket elődeim elpusztítottak? Gózánt, Háránt, Recefet és Telasszárban Eden fiait?

Hát megszabadíták-é azokat a népek istenei, a melyeket eleim elpusztítának? Gózánt, Háránt, Resefet és Telassárban Eden fiait?

Have the gods of the nations delivered them which my fathers have destroyed, as Gozan, and Haran, and Rezeph, and the children of Eden which were in Telassar?

Oare dumnezeii neamurilor pe care le-au nimicit părinţii mei, le-au izbăvit ei, şi anume: Gozanul, Haranul, Reţef şi fiii lui Eden care sunt la Telasar?

Have the gods of the nations delivered them, the nations that my fathers destroyed, Gozan, Haran, Rezeph, and the people of Eden who were in Telassar?

Hol van Hamát királya és Arpád királya, Szefarvaim városának királya meg Héna és Ivva?”

Hol van Hamáth királya és Arphádnak királya, Sefarvaim városának királya, Héna és Ivva?

Where is the king of Hamath, and the king of Arphad, and the king of the city of Sepharvaim, Hena, and Ivah?

Unde este împăratul Hamatului, împăratul Arpadului şi împăratul cetăţii Sefarvaim, Hena şi Iva?”

Where is the king of Hamath, the king of Arpad, the king of the city of Sepharvaim, the king of Hena, or the king of Ivvah?’”

Ezékiás átvette a levelet a követek kezéből, és elolvasta. Majd fölment az ÚR házába, kiterítette Ezékiás az ÚR előtt,

És elvevé Ezékiás a levelet a követek kezéből, és olvasá azt, és felmenvén az Úr házába, kiterjeszté Ezékiás azt az Úr előtt.

And Hezekiah received the letter from the hand of the messengers, and read it: and Hezekiah went up unto the house of the LORD, and spread it before the LORD.

And Hezekiah prayed unto the LORD, saying,

Seregek URa, Izráel Istene, aki a kerúbokon ülsz! Te, csak te vagy a föld minden országának Istene, te teremtetted a mennyet és a földet.

Seregeknek Ura, Izráel Istene, ki a Kerubokon ülsz! Te, csak Te vagy a föld minden országainak Istene, Te teremtéd a mennyet és a földet.

O LORD of hosts, God of Israel, that dwellest between the cherubims, thou art the God, even thou alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth: thou hast made heaven and earth.

„Doamne al oştirilor, Dumnezeul lui Israel care şezi pe heruvimi! Tu eşti singurul Dumnezeu al tuturor împărăţiilor pământului! Tu ai făcut cerurile şi pământul!

“O LORD of hosts, God of Israel, enthroned above the cherubim, you are the God, you alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth; you have made the heavens and the earth.

Fordítsd hozzám füledet, URam, és hallgass meg, nyisd ki, URam, szemedet, és lásd! Halld meg Szanhérib minden beszédét, amelyeket az élő Isten káromlására üzent!

Hajtsd ide Uram füledet és halljad, nyisd meg Uram szemeidet és lássad! Halld meg Szanhéribnek minden beszédit, a melyeket izent az élő Isten káromlására!

Incline thine ear, O LORD, and hear; open thine eyes, O LORD, and see: and hear all the words of Sennacherib, which hath sent to reproach the living God.

Doamne, pleacă-Ţi urechea şi ascultă! Doamne, deschide-Ţi ochii şi priveşte! Auzi toate cuvintele pe care le-a trimis Sanherib ca să batjocorească pe Dumnezeul cel Viu!

Incline your ear, O LORD, and hear; open your eyes, O LORD, and see; and hear all the words of Sennacherib, which he has sent to mock the living God.

Bizony, URam, Asszíria királyai elpusztították mindazokat az országokat és földjüket,

Bizony, Uram, Assiria királyai elpusztítottak minden országokat és azoknak földjét,

Of a truth, LORD, the kings of Assyria have laid waste all the nations, and their countries,

Este adevărat, Doamne, că împăraţii Asiriei au pustiit toate popoarele şi ţările lor

Truly, O LORD, the kings of Assyria have laid waste all the nations and their lands,

és tűzbe vetették isteneiket, mert azok nem istenek voltak, hanem emberi kéz alkotásai: fa és kő. Ezért pusztíthatták el azokat.

És isteneiket tűzbe veték, mert nem istenek voltak, hanem emberi kéznek csinálmánya, fa és kő; így veszthették el azokat.

And have cast their gods into the fire: for they were no gods, but the work of men's hands, wood and stone: therefore they have destroyed them.

şi că au aruncat în foc pe dumnezeii lor; dar ei nu erau dumnezei, ci erau lucrări făcute de mâinile omului, de lemn şi de piatră. De aceea i-au nimicit.

and have cast their gods into the fire. For they were no gods, but the work of men’s hands, wood and stone. Therefore they were destroyed.

Most azonban, URam, Istenünk, szabadíts meg bennünket az ő kezéből, hadd tudja meg a föld minden országa, hogy egyedül csak te vagy Isten, URam!

És most Uram, mi Istenünk! szabadíts meg minket az ő kezéből, hogy megtudják a föld minden országai, hogy Te vagy, Uram, Isten egyedül.

Now therefore, O LORD our God, save us from his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that thou art the LORD, even thou only.

Acum, Doamne Dumnezeul nostru, izbăveşte-ne din mâna lui Sanherib, ca toate împărăţiile pământului să ştie că numai Tu, Doamne, eşti Dumnezeu!”

So now, O LORD our God, save us from his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that you alone are the LORD.”

Akkor Ézsaiás, Ámóc fia ezt az üzenetet küldte Ezékiásnak: Így szól az ÚR, Izráel Istene: Mivel könyörögtél hozzám Szanhérib, Asszíria királya miatt,

És külde Ésaiás, Ámós fia Ezékiáshoz, mondván: Így szól az Úr, Izráel Istene: mivel hozzám könyörögtél Szanhérib miatt, Assiria királya miatt:

Then Isaiah the son of Amoz sent unto Hezekiah, saying, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Whereas thou hast prayed to me against Sennacherib king of Assyria:

Atunci Isaia, fiul lui Amoţ, a trimis să spună lui Ezechia: „Aşa vorbeşte Domnul Dumnezeul lui Israel: „Am auzit rugăciunea pe care Mi-ai făcut-o cu privire la Sanherib, împăratul Asiriei.

Then Isaiah the son of Amoz sent to Hezekiah, saying, “Thus says the LORD, the God of Israel: Because you have prayed to me concerning Sennacherib king of Assyria,

ezt a beszédet mondja felőle az ÚR: Megvet téged, gúnyt űz belőled Sion szűz leánya, fejét rázza mögötted Jeruzsálem leánya.

This is the word which the LORD hath spoken concerning him; The virgin, the daughter of Zion, hath despised thee, and laughed thee to scorn; the daughter of Jerusalem hath shaken her head at thee.

Iată cuvântul pe care l-a rostit Domnul împotriva lui: „Fecioara, fiica Sionului, te dispreţuieşte şi îşi bate joc de tine; fata Ierusalimului dă din cap după tine.

this is the word that the LORD has spoken concerning him: “‘She despises you, she scorns you— the virgin daughter of Zion; she wags her head behind you— the daughter of Jerusalem.

Kit káromoltál és szidalmaztál, ki ellen emeltél szót, kire tekintettél oly kevélyen? Izráel Szentjére!

Kit káromoltál és szidalmazál, és ki ellen emeltél szót, hogy oly magasra látsz? Izráel Szentje ellen!

Whom hast thou reproached and blasphemed? and against whom hast thou exalted thy voice, and lifted up thine eyes on high? even against the Holy One of Israel.

Pe cine ai batjocorit şi ai ocărât tu? Împotriva cui ţi-ai ridicat glasul şi ţi-ai îndreptat ochii? Împotriva Sfântului lui Israel;

“‘Whom have you mocked and reviled? Against whom have you raised your voice and lifted your eyes to the heights? Against the Holy One of Israel!

Szolgáid által káromoltad az URat, és ezt mondtad: Töméntelen harci szekeremmel fölmentem a hegyek magaslatára és a Libánon csúcsára, kivágtam magas cédrusait, válogatott ciprusait, és följutottam legmagasabb csúcsára és dús erdejébe!

Szolgáid által megkáromlád az Urat, és ezt mondád: Temérdek szekeremmel fölmentem e hegyek magaslatára, a Libánon csúcsára, és kivágom magas czédrusait, válogatott cziprusait, és behatolok végső magaslatába [és] kertjének erdejébe!

By thy servants hast thou reproached the Lord, and hast said, By the multitude of my chariots am I come up to the height of the mountains, to the sides of Lebanon; and I will cut down the tall cedars thereof, and the choice fir trees thereof: and I will enter into the height of his border, and the forest of his Carmel.

prin slujitorii tăi tu ai batjocorit pe Domnul şi ai zis: „Cu mulţimea carelor mele m-am suit pe vârful munţilor, pe coastele Libanului, şi voi tăia cedrii lui cei mai înalţi, cei mai frumoşi chiparoşi ai lui, şi voi ajunge pe culmea cea mai înaltă, în pădurea lui care este ca un pomet.

By your servants you have mocked the Lord, and you have said, With my many chariots I have gone up the heights of the mountains, to the far recesses of Lebanon, to cut down its tallest cedars, its choicest cypresses, to come to its remotest height, its most fruitful forest.

Kutat ástam, és vizet ittam, lábammal taposva kiszárítom Egyiptomban a Nílus minden folyóvizét.

Én ástam és vizet ittam, és kiszáraztom lábam talpával Égyiptom minden folyóit.

I have digged, and drunk water; and with the sole of my feet have I dried up all the rivers of the besieged places.

Am săpat izvoare şi am băut din apele lor, şi cu talpa picioarelor mele voi seca toate râurile Egiptului.”

I dug wells and drank waters, to dry up with the sole of my foot all the streams of Egypt.

Hát nem hallottad, hogy régtől fogva elhatároztam, kezdettől elterveztem ezt, most pedig véghezviszem, hogy puszta kőrakássá, rommá legyenek a megerősített városok?

Hát nem hallottad-é, hogy régtől fogva én tevém ezt, az őskor napjaiban elvégzém ezt, és most előhozám, hogy puszta kőrakássá tégy erős városokat?!

Hast thou not heard long ago, how I have done it; and of ancient times, that I have formed it? now have I brought it to pass, that thou shouldest be to lay waste defenced cities into ruinous heaps.

Dar n-ai auzit că am pregătit aceste lucruri de demult şi că le-am hotărât din vremuri străvechi? Acum însă am dat voie să se împlinească, pentru ca să prefaci cetăţi tari în nişte mormane de dărâmături.

“‘Have you not heard that I determined it long ago? I planned from days of old what now I bring to pass, that you should make fortified cities crash into heaps of ruins,

Lakóik ereje ellankadt, megrendültek, megszégyenültek, és olyanok lettek, mint a mezei növény és a gyönge fűszál, mint háztetőn a fű: elszáradt, mielőtt szárba szökkent volna!

És lakóik elájultak és megrendültek és megszégyenültek, [és ]lőnek [mint] a mező füve és gyönge zöldség, és mint a virág a háztetőn, mint szárba nem indult vetés!

Therefore their inhabitants were of small power, they were dismayed and confounded: they were as the grass of the field, and as the green herb, as the grass on the housetops, and as corn blasted before it be grown up.

Şi locuitorii lor sunt neputincioşi, înspăimântaţi şi uluiţi: sunt ca iarba de pe câmp şi verdeaţa fragedă, ca iarba de pe acoperişuri şi ca grâul care se usucă înainte de a da în spic.

while their inhabitants, shorn of strength, are dismayed and confounded, and have become like plants of the field and like tender grass, like grass on the housetops, blighted before it is grown.

Tudok arról, ha ülsz, ha mész, ha jössz, és hogy miként lázongsz ellenem.

Ülésedet, kimentedet, bejöttödet tudom, és ellenem való haragodat.

But I know thy abode, and thy going out, and thy coming in, and thy rage against me.

Dar Eu ştiu când stai jos, când ieşi afară, când intri şi când eşti mânios împotriva Mea.

“‘I know your sitting down and your going out and coming in, and your raging against me.

Mivel lázongsz ellenem, és mert kevélységed fülembe jutott, horgot vetek orrodba és zablát a szádba, és visszaviszlek azon az úton, amelyen jöttél!

Ellenem való haragodért, és mert kevélységed fülembe jutott, vetem orrodba horgomat és szádba zabolámat, és visszaviszlek az úton, a melyen jövél!

Because thy rage against me, and thy tumult, is come up into mine ears, therefore will I put my hook in thy nose, and my bridle in thy lips, and I will turn thee back by the way by which thou camest.

Deci pentru că eşti mânios împotriva Mea, şi mândria ta a ajuns până la urechile Mele, voi pune veriga Mea în nările tale şi zăbala Mea între buzele tale şi te voi face să te întorci pe drumul pe care ai venit.”

Because you have raged against me and your complacency has come to my ears, I will put my hook in your nose and my bit in your mouth, and I will turn you back on the way by which you came.’

Ez legyen a jel számodra: ebben az évben azt eszitek, ami magától terem, a második évben ami abból sarjad, de a harmadik évben vethettek, arathattok, szőlőt ültethettek, és ehetitek gyümölcsét!

S ez legyen jelül néked: ez évben ugartermést esztek és a másik évben sarjut, és a harmadik évben vessetek, arassatok és szőlőt ültessetek, és egyétek gyümölcsét.

And this shall be a sign unto thee, Ye shall eat this year such as groweth of itself; and the second year that which springeth of the same: and in the third year sow ye, and reap, and plant vineyards, and eat the fruit thereof.

Şi acesta să-ţi fie semnul, Ezechia: anul acesta veţi mânca ce va creşte singur de la sine, şi în al doilea an, ce va răsări din aceasta; dar în al treilea an veţi semăna, veţi secera, veţi sădi vii şi veţi mânca din rodul lor.

“And this shall be the sign for you: this year you shall eat what grows of itself, and in the second year what springs from that. Then in the third year sow and reap, and plant vineyards, and eat their fruit.

Júda házának maradéka pedig, amely megmenekül, ismét gyökeret ver alul, és gyümölcsöt terem felül.

And the remnant that is escaped of the house of Judah shall again take root downward, and bear fruit upward:

Şi ce va mai scăpa din casa lui Iuda şi ce va mai rămâne iarăşi va prinde rădăcini dedesubt şi va aduce rod deasupra.

And the surviving remnant of the house of Judah shall again take root downward and bear fruit upward.

For out of Jerusalem shall go forth a remnant, and they that escape out of mount Zion: the zeal of the LORD of hosts shall do this.

Căci din Ierusalim va ieşi o rămăşiţă, şi din muntele Sionului, cei izbăviţi. Iată ce va face râvna Domnului oştirilor.

For out of Jerusalem shall go a remnant, and out of Mount Zion a band of survivors. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will do this.

Azért így szól az ÚR Asszíria királyáról: Nem jön be ebbe a városba, nyilat sem lő ki rá, nem vonul ellene pajzzsal, és töltést sem emel ellene.

Azért így szól az Úr Assiria királyáról: Nem jő be e városba, nyilat sem lő reá, és nem szállja meg paizszsal azt, és töltést sem készít ellene.

Therefore thus saith the LORD concerning the king of Assyria, He shall not come into this city, nor shoot an arrow there, nor come before it with shields, nor cast a bank against it.

De aceea aşa vorbeşte Domnul despre împăratul Asiriei: „El nu va intra în cetatea aceasta, nu va arunca săgeţi în ea, nu-i va sta înainte cu scuturi şi nu va ridica întărituri de şanţuri împotriva ei.

“Therefore thus says the LORD concerning the king of Assyria: He shall not come into this city or shoot an arrow there or come before it with a shield or cast up a siege mound against it.

Azon az úton tér vissza, amelyen idejött, a városba nem jön be, azt mondja az ÚR.

Az úton, a melyen jött, visszatér, de e városba be nem jő, azt mondja az Úr.

By the way that he came, by the same shall he return, and shall not come into this city, saith the LORD.

Ci se va întoarce pe drumul pe care a venit şi nu va intra în cetatea aceasta, zice Domnul,

By the way that he came, by the same he shall return, and he shall not come into this city, declares the LORD.

Megoltalmazom ezt a várost és megszabadítom, önmagamért és szolgámért, Dávidért.

És megoltalmazom e várost, hogy megtartsam azt én magamért és szolgámért, Dávidért!

For I will defend this city to save it for mine own sake, and for my servant David's sake.

căci Eu voi ocroti cetatea aceasta ca s-o scap, din pricina Mea şi din pricina robului Meu David!”

For I will defend this city to save it, for my own sake and for the sake of my servant David.”

Akkor eljött az ÚR angyala, és levágott az asszír táborban száznyolcvanötezer embert. Amikor reggel az emberek fölkeltek, íme, mindenfelé halottak voltak!

Akkor kijött az Úrnak angyala, és levágott az assir táborban száznyolczvanötezeret, és midőn reggel [az emberek] felköltek, ímé [azok] mindnyájan holt hullák valának!

Then the angel of the LORD went forth, and smote in the camp of the Assyrians a hundred and fourscore and five thousand: and when they arose early in the morning, behold, they were all dead corpses.

Îngerul Domnului a ieşit şi a ucis în tabăra asirienilor o sută optzeci şi cinci de mii de oameni. Şi, când s-au sculat dimineaţa, iată că toţi aceştia erau nişte trupuri moarte.

And the angel of the LORD went out and struck down 185,000 in the camp of the Assyrians. And when people arose early in the morning, behold, these were all dead bodies.

Ekkor fölkerekedett Szanhérib, Asszíria királya, hazatért, és Ninivében maradt.

Elindula azért és ment és visszatért Szanhérib, az assiriai király, és lakozék Ninivében.

So Sennacherib king of Assyria departed, and went and returned, and dwelt at Nineveh.

Atunci Sanherib, împăratul Asiriei, şi-a ridicat tabăra, a plecat şi s-a întors; şi a rămas la Ninive.

Then Sennacherib king of Assyria departed and returned home and lived at Nineveh.

Egyszer aztán, amikor istenének, Niszróknak a templomában imádkozott, fiai, Adrammelek és Szárecer karddal levágták, majd Arárát földjére menekültek. Fia, Észarhaddón uralkodott utána.

És lőn, hogy mikor imádkozék, Nisróknak, az ő istenének templomában, fiai: Adramélek és Saréser levágák őt karddal; és ezek Ararát földére menekülvén, fia, Esárhaddon uralkodék helyette.

And it came to pass, as he was worshipping in the house of Nisroch his god, that Adrammelech and Sharezer his sons smote him with the sword; and they escaped into the land of Armenia: and Esarhaddon his son reigned in his stead.

Şi, pe când stătea cu faţa la pământ rugându-se în casa lui Nisroc, dumnezeul său, fiii săi, Adramalec şi Şareţer, l-au lovit cu sabia şi au fugit în ţara Ararat. Şi, în locul lui, a domnit fiul său Esar-Hadon.

And as he was worshiping in the house of Nisroch his god, Adrammelech and Sharezer, his sons, struck him down with the sword. And after they escaped into the land of Ararat, Esarhaddon his son reigned in his place.
