Jaj Árielnek, Árielnek, a városnak, a hol Dávid lakott! Esztendőt esztendőhöz adjatok, és forogjanak az ünnepek!

Woe to Ariel, to Ariel, the city where David dwelt! add ye year to year; let them kill sacrifices.

„Vai de Ariel ( ), de Ariel! Cetatea în care a tăbărât David! Adăugaţi an la an şi lăsaţi sărbătorile să-şi facă ocolul lor.

és megszorongatom Ariélt, jajgatás és siralom lesz a városban, és olyan lesz nekem, mint Ariél.

Yet I will distress Ariel, and there shall be heaviness and sorrow: and it shall be unto me as Ariel.

And I will camp against thee round about, and will lay siege against thee with a mount, and I will raise forts against thee.

Megaláztatva, a földből szólsz, és a porból szól a beszéded; hangod olyan lesz, mint kísértet a földből, a porból suttog szavad.

És megaláztatván, a földből szólsz és porból morog beszéded, szavad olyan lesz, mint halottidézőé, a földből, és porból sipog beszéded.

And thou shalt be brought down, and shalt speak out of the ground, and thy speech shall be low out of the dust, and thy voice shall be, as of one that hath a familiar spirit, out of the ground, and thy speech shall whisper out of the dust.

Vei fi doborât la pământ şi de acolo vei vorbi, şi din ţărână ţi se vor auzi vorbele. Glasul tău va ieşi din pământ ca al unei năluci, şi din ţărână îţi vei şopti cuvintele.

And you will be brought low; from the earth you shall speak, and from the dust your speech will be bowed down; your voice shall come from the ground like the voice of a ghost, and from the dust your speech shall whisper.

Moreover the multitude of thy strangers shall be like small dust, and the multitude of the terrible ones shall be as chaff that passeth away: yea, it shall be at an instant suddenly.

But the multitude of your foreign foes shall be like small dust, and the multitude of the ruthless like passing chaff. And in an instant, suddenly,

A seregek Urától látogattatik meg, mennydörgéssel, földindulással, nagy zúgással, forgószéllel, viharral és emésztő tűzi lánggal;

Thou shalt be visited of the LORD of hosts with thunder, and with earthquake, and great noise, with storm and tempest, and the flame of devouring fire.

De la Domnul oştirilor va veni pedeapsa, cu tunete, cutremure de pământ şi pocnet puternic, cu vijelie şi furtună, şi cu flacăra unui foc mistuitor.

you will be visited by the LORD of hosts with thunder and with earthquake and great noise, with whirlwind and tempest, and the flame of a devouring fire.

Mint éjjeli álomlátás, olyan lesz a népek minden sokasága, akik hadakoztak Ariél ellen, akik harcoltak ellene és sziklavára ellen, és szorongatták őt.

And the multitude of all the nations that fight against Ariel, even all that fight against her and her munition, and that distress her, shall be as a dream of a night vision.

Şi ca un vis, ca o vedenie de noapte, aşa va fi mulţimea neamurilor care vor lupta împotriva lui Ariel, aşa vor fi cei ce se vor bate împotriva lui şi cetăţuii lui, strângându-l de aproape.

And the multitude of all the nations that fight against Ariel, all that fight against her and her stronghold and distress her, shall be like a dream, a vision of the night.

Úgy lesz, mint amikor azt álmodja az éhező, hogy eszik, de amikor fölserken, íme, üres a hasa; vagy mint amikor azt álmodja a szomjazó, hogy iszik, de amikor fölserken, íme, szomjas, és eleped a lelke: így lesz a népek minden sokaságával, akik hadakoztak Sion hegye ellen.

És lesz, mint mikor álmodik az éhező, és ímé eszik, és midőn fölserken, üres a hasa, és mint mikor álmodik a szomjazó, és ímé iszik, és midőn fölserken, ímé szomjas és lelke eped: így lesz minden pogányoknak sokasága, a kik hadakoznak Sion hegye ellen.

It shall even be as when an hungry man dreameth, and, behold, he eateth; but he awaketh, and his soul is empty: or as when a thirsty man dreameth, and, behold, he drinketh; but he awaketh, and, behold, he is faint, and his soul hath appetite: so shall the multitude of all the nations be, that fight against mount Zion.

După cum cel flămând visează că mănâncă, şi se trezeşte cu stomacul gol, şi după cum cel însetat visează că bea, şi se trezeşte stors de puteri şi cu setea neastâmpărată: tot aşa va fi şi cu mulţimea neamurilor care vor veni să lupte împotriva muntelui Sionului.” –

As when a hungry man dreams, and behold, he is eating, and awakes with his hunger not satisfied, or as when a thirsty man dreams, and behold, he is drinking, and awakes faint, with his thirst not quenched, so shall the multitude of all the nations be that fight against Mount Zion.

Astonish yourselves and be astonished; blind yourselves and be blind! Be drunk, but not with wine; stagger, but not with strong drink!

Mert kiöntötte rátok az ÚR a mély álom lelkét, és bezárta szemeiteket: a prófétákat, és befedte fejeiteket: a látnokokat.

Mert rátok önté az Úr a mély álomnak lelkét, és bezárta szemeiteket, a prófétákat, és fejeiteket, a nézőket befedezte;

For the LORD hath poured out upon you the spirit of deep sleep, and hath closed your eyes: the prophets and your rulers, the seers hath he covered.

Ci pentru că Domnul a turnat peste voi un duh de adormire; v-a închis ochii, prorocilor, şi v-a acoperit capetele, văzătorilor.

For the LORD has poured out upon you a spirit of deep sleep, and has closed your eyes (the prophets), and covered your heads (the seers).

Olyan lesz nektek minden látomás, mint a lepecsételt írás szavai. Odaadják azt egy írástudónak, és ezt mondják neki: „Olvasd el, kérlek!”; de ő így szól: Nem tudom, mert le van pecsételve.

És lesz mind e látás néktek, mintegy bepecsételtetett írás beszédei, a melyet oda adnak egy írástudónak, mondván: Olvasd, kérlek, és ő szól: Nem tudom, mert bepecsételtetett.

And the vision of all is become unto you as the words of a book that is sealed, which men deliver to one that is learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I cannot; for it is sealed:

De aceea, toată descoperirea dumnezeiască a ajuns pentru voi ca vorbele unei cărţi pecetluite. Dacă o dai cuiva care ştie să citească şi-i zici: „Ia citeşte!”, el răspunde: „Nu pot, căci este pecetluită!”

And the vision of all this has become to you like the words of a book that is sealed. When men give it to one who can read, saying, “Read this,” he says, “I cannot, for it is sealed.”

Vagy ha a levelet olyannak adják, aki tanulatlan, e szavakkal: „Olvasd el, kérlek!”, ő pedig így szól: Nem ismerem a betűvetést.

És ha e levelet annak adják, a ki nem tud írást, mondván: Olvasd el, kérlek! ő így szól: Nem tudok írást.

And the book is delivered to him that is not learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I am not learned.

Sau dacă dai cartea unuia care nu ştie să citească şi-i zici: „Ia citeşte!”, el răspunde: „Nu ştiu să citesc.”

And when they give the book to one who cannot read, saying, “Read this,” he says, “I cannot read.”

De így szól az Úr: Mivel e nép csak szájával közeledik hozzám, és ajkával tisztel engem, szíve pedig távol van tőlem, úgy, hogy irántam való félelmük betanult emberi parancsolat lett,

És szólt az Úr: Mivel e nép szájjal közelget [hozzám,] és csak ajkaival tisztel engem, szíve pedig távol van tőlem, úgy hogy irántam való félelmök betanított emberi parancsolat lőn:

Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men:

Domnul zice: „Când se apropie de Mine poporul acesta, Mă cinsteşte cu gura şi cu buzele, dar inima lui este departe de Mine, şi frica pe care o are de Mine nu este decât o învăţătură de datină omenească.

And the Lord said: “Because this people draw near with their mouth and honor me with their lips, while their hearts are far from me, and their fear of me is a commandment taught by men,

ezért ismét ámulatba ejtem e népet: csodát csodára teszek, és elvész bölcseinek bölcsessége, és eltűnik az értelmesek értelme.

Therefore, behold, I will proceed to do a marvellous work among this people, even a marvellous work and a wonder: for the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, and the understanding of their prudent men shall be hid.

Jaj azoknak, akik mélyen elrejtik tervüket az ÚR elől, és akik sötétben szoktak cselekedni, azt gondolván: Ugyan ki lát és ki ismer bennünket?

Jaj azoknak, a kik az Úrtól mélységesen elrejtik tanácsukat, és a kik a sötétségben szoktak cselekedni, mondván: Ki lát minket és ki ismer minket?

Woe unto them that seek deep to hide their counsel from the LORD, and their works are in the dark, and they say, Who seeth us? and who knoweth us?

Vai de cei ce îşi ascund planurile dinaintea Domnului, care îşi fac faptele în întuneric şi zic: „Cine ne vede şi cine ne ştie?”!

Ah, you who hide deep from the LORD your counsel, whose deeds are in the dark, and who say, “Who sees us? Who knows us?”

Micsoda kifordított gondolkodás! Egyenlő lenne az agyag a fazekassal? Mondhatja-e az alkotás alkotójának: Nem ő készített engem; és az edény a formálójának: Ez nem ért hozzá?

Mily együgyűek vagytok! Avagy a fazekas olyan, mint az agyag, hogy így szóljon a csinálmány csinálójának: Nem csinált engem! és az alkotmány ezt mondja alkotójának: Értelmetlen!

Surely your turning of things upside down shall be esteemed as the potter's clay: for shall the work say of him that made it, He made me not? or shall the thing framed say of him that framed it, He had no understanding?

You turn things upside down! Shall the potter be regarded as the clay, that the thing made should say of its maker, “He did not make me”; or the thing formed say of him who formed it, “He has no understanding”?

Egy kis idő múlva Libánon termőfölddé lesz, és a termőföld erdőnek látszik.

Nemde kevés idő multán a Libánon termőfölddé lesz, és a termőföld erdőnek tartatik?

Is it not yet a very little while, and Lebanon shall be turned into a fruitful field, and the fruitful field shall be esteemed as a forest?

Peste puţină vreme, Libanul se va preface în pomet, şi pometul va fi socotit ca o pădure!

Is it not yet a very little while until Lebanon shall be turned into a fruitful field, and the fruitful field shall be regarded as a forest?

Azon a napon a süketek is meghallják az írás beszédét, és a vakok szemei is látni fognak a homály és sötétség elmúltával.

És meghallják ama napon a siketek az írás beszédeit, és a homályból és sötétből a vakoknak szemei látni fognak.

And in that day shall the deaf hear the words of the book, and the eyes of the blind shall see out of obscurity, and out of darkness.

În ziua aceea, surzii vor auzi cuvintele cărţii, şi ochii orbilor, izbăviţi de negură şi întuneric, vor vedea.

In that day the deaf shall hear the words of a book, and out of their gloom and darkness the eyes of the blind shall see.

Az alázatosak egyre inkább örvendeznek az ÚRban, és a szegény emberek vigadnak Izráel Szentjében.

És nagy örömük lesz a szenvedőknek az Úrban, és a szegény emberek vígadnak Izráel Szentjében.

The meek also shall increase their joy in the LORD, and the poor among men shall rejoice in the Holy One of Israel.

Cei nenorociţi se vor bucura tot mai mult în Domnul, şi săracii se vor înveseli de Sfântul lui Israel.

The meek shall obtain fresh joy in the LORD, and the poor among mankind shall exult in the Holy One of Israel.

Mert vége lesz a kegyetlennek, elpusztul a csúfolódó, és kiirtanak minden gonoszságra vetemedőt,

Mert a kegyetlen elveszett, és a csúfoló elpusztult, és kivágattak a hamisságnak minden őrei,

For the terrible one is brought to nought, and the scorner is consumed, and all that watch for iniquity are cut off:

For the ruthless shall come to nothing and the scoffer cease, and all who watch to do evil shall be cut off,

That make a man an offender for a word, and lay a snare for him that reproveth in the gate, and turn aside the just for a thing of nought.

who by a word make a man out to be an offender, and lay a snare for him who reproves in the gate, and with an empty plea turn aside him who is in the right.

Ezért így szól Jákób házáról az ÚR, aki megváltotta Ábrahámot: Nem szégyenül meg többé Jákób, és nem sápad el többé az arca.

Ezért így szól az Úr Jákób házáról, Ő, a ki megváltá Ábrahámot: Nem szégyenül meg többé Jákób, és nem sáppad meg többé az ő orczája.

Therefore thus saith the LORD, who redeemed Abraham, concerning the house of Jacob, Jacob shall not now be ashamed, neither shall his face now wax pale.

De aceea, aşa vorbeşte Domnul către casa lui Iacov, El, care a răscumpărat pe Avraam: „Acum Iacov nu va mai roşi de ruşine şi nu i se va mai îngălbeni faţa acum.

Therefore thus says the LORD, who redeemed Abraham, concerning the house of Jacob: “Jacob shall no more be ashamed, no more shall his face grow pale.

Ha látni fogja gyermekeit, kezem munkáját közöttük, megszentelik nevemet, megszentelik Jákób Szentjét, és félik Izráel Istenét.

But when he seeth his children, the work of mine hands, in the midst of him, they shall sanctify my name, and sanctify the Holy One of Jacob, and shall fear the God of Israel.

They also that erred in spirit shall come to understanding, and they that murmured shall learn doctrine.

Cei rătăciţi cu duhul vor căpăta pricepere, şi cei ce cârteau vor lua învăţătură.”

And those who go astray in spirit will come to understanding, and those who murmur will accept instruction.”
