Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God.

„Mângâiaţi, mângâiaţi pe poporul Meu, zice Dumnezeul vostru.

Comfort, comfort my people, says your God.

Szóljatok Jeruzsálem szívéhez, és hirdessétek neki, hogy vége van nyomorúságának, bűne megbocsáttatott. Hiszen kétszeresen sújtotta őt az ÚR keze minden bűnéért.

Speak ye comfortably to Jerusalem, and cry unto her, that her warfare is accomplished, that her iniquity is pardoned: for she hath received of the LORD's hand double for all her sins.

Vorbiţi bine Ierusalimului şi strigaţi-i că robia lui s-a sfârşit, că nelegiuirea lui este ispăşită; căci a primit din mâna Domnului de două ori cât toate păcatele lui.”

Speak tenderly to Jerusalem, and cry to her that her warfare is ended, that her iniquity is pardoned, that she has received from the LORD’s hand double for all her sins.

The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.

Un glas strigă: „Pregătiţi în pustiu calea Domnului, neteziţi în locurile uscate un drum pentru Dumnezeul nostru!

A voice cries: “In the wilderness prepare the way of the LORD; make straight in the desert a highway for our God.

Emelkedjék föl minden völgy, szálljon alá minden hegy és halom, legyen az egyenetlen egyenessé és a bérc rónává.

Minden völgy fölemelkedjék, minden hegy és halom alászálljon, és legyen az egyenetlen egyenessé és a bérczek rónává.

Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain:

Orice vale să fie înălţată, orice munte şi orice deal să fie plecate, coastele să se prefacă în câmpii, şi strâmtorile, în vâlcele!

Every valley shall be lifted up, and every mountain and hill be made low; the uneven ground shall become level, and the rough places a plain.

Akkor megjelenik az ÚR dicsősége, és minden test látni fogja. Az ÚR szája mondta ezt.

És megjelenik az Úr dicsősége, és minden test látni fogja azt; mert az Úr szája szólt.

And the glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.

Atunci se va descoperi slava Domnului, şi în clipa aceea orice făptură o va vedea; căci gura Domnului a vorbit.”

And the glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together, for the mouth of the LORD has spoken.”

Szózat szól: Kiálts! Ezt válaszoltam: Mit kiáltsak? Minden test fű, és minden szépsége, mint a mező virága!

The voice said, Cry. And he said, What shall I cry? All flesh is grass, and all the goodliness thereof is as the flower of the field:

Un glas zice: „Strigă!” – Şi eu am răspuns: „Ce să strig?” – „Orice făptură este ca iarba, şi toată strălucirea ei, ca floarea de pe câmp.

A voice says, “Cry!” And I said, “What shall I cry?” All flesh is grass, and all its beauty is like the flower of the field.

Megszárad a fű, elhull a virág, ha az ÚR szele fuvall rá; bizony fű a nép.

Megszáradt a fű, elhullt a virág, ha az Úrnak szele fuvallt reá; bizony fű a nép.

The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: because the spirit of the LORD bloweth upon it: surely the people is grass.

Iarba se usucă, floarea cade, când suflă vântul Domnului peste ea. – În adevăr, poporul este ca iarba:

The grass withers, the flower fades when the breath of the LORD blows on it; surely the people are grass.

Megszáradt a fű, elhullt a virág; de Istenünk beszéde mindörökre megmarad!

The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.

iarba se usucă, floarea cade; dar cuvântul Dumnezeului nostru rămâne în veac.”

The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever.

Magas hegyre menj föl, örömhírmondó Sion! Emeld föl hangodat erősen, örömhírmondó Jeruzsálem! Emeld föl, ne félj! Mondd Júda városainak: Íme, itt van Istenetek!

Magas hegyre menj fel, örömmondó Sion! emeld föl szódat magasan, örömmondó Jeruzsálem! emeld föl, ne félj! mondjad Júda városinak: Ímhol Istenetek!

O Zion, that bringest good tidings, get thee up into the high mountain; O Jerusalem, that bringest good tidings, lift up thy voice with strength; lift it up, be not afraid; say unto the cities of Judah, Behold your God!

Suie-te pe un munte înalt, ca să vesteşti Sionului vestea cea bună; înalţă-ţi glasul cu putere, ca să vesteşti Ierusalimului vestea cea bună; înalţă-ţi glasul, nu te teme, şi spune cetăţilor lui Iuda: „Iată Dumnezeul vostru!”

Go on up to a high mountain, O Zion, herald of good news; lift up your voice with strength, O Jerusalem, herald of good news; lift it up, fear not; say to the cities of Judah, “Behold your God!”

Íme, az én Istenem, az ÚR jön hatalommal, és karja uralkodik! Íme, vele jön jutalma, és előtte jár fizetsége.

Ímé, az Úr Isten jő hatalommal, és karja uralkodik! Ímé, jutalma vele jő, és megfizetése Ő előtte.

Behold, the Lord GOD will come with strong hand, and his arm shall rule for him: behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him.

Iată, Domnul Dumnezeu vine cu putere şi porunceşte cu braţul Lui. Iată că plata este cu El, şi răsplătirile vin înaintea Lui.

Behold, the Lord GOD comes with might, and his arm rules for him; behold, his reward is with him, and his recompense before him.

Mint a pásztor, úgy legelteti nyáját, karjára gyűjti a bárányokat, ölében hordozza őket, és a szoptatós juhokat szelíden vezetgeti.

Mint pásztor, nyáját úgy legelteti, karjára gyűjti a bárányokat és ölében hordozza, a szoptatósokat szelíden vezeti.

He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young.

El Îşi va paşte turma ca un păstor, va lua mieii în braţe, îi va duce la sânul Lui şi va călăuzi blând oile care alăptează.

He will tend his flock like a shepherd; he will gather the lambs in his arms; he will carry them in his bosom, and gently lead those that are with young.

Ki mérte meg markával a vizet, és ki vett mértéket az egekről arasszal; ki mérte meg vékával a föld porát, ki tette mérlegre a hegyeket és mérlegserpenyőbe a halmokat?

Ki mérte meg markával a vizeket, és ki mértéklé az egeket arasszal, a föld porát ki foglalá mérczébe, és a hegyeket ki tette körtefontra, és a halmokat a mérlegserpenyőbe?

Who hath measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, and meted out heaven with the span, and comprehended the dust of the earth in a measure, and weighed the mountains in scales, and the hills in a balance?

„Cine a măsurat apele cu mâna lui? Cine a măsurat cerurile cu palma şi a strâns ţărâna pământului într-o treime de măsură? Cine a cântărit munţii cu cântarul, şi dealurile, cu cumpăna?

Who has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand and marked off the heavens with a span, enclosed the dust of the earth in a measure and weighed the mountains in scales and the hills in a balance?

Ki irányította az ÚR lelkét, és ki oktatta őt mint tanácsosa?

Kicsoda igazgatta az Úr lelkét, és ki oktatta Őt, mint tanácsosa?

Who hath directed the Spirit of the LORD, or being his counsellor hath taught him?

Cine a cercetat Duhul Domnului şi cine L-a luminat cu sfaturile lui?

Who has measured the Spirit of the LORD, or what man shows him his counsel?

Kivel tanácskozott, hogy fölvilágosítsa őt, és ki tanította az igazság ösvényére, ki tanította ismeretre, és ki oktatta őt az értelem útjára?

Kivel tanácskozott, hogy felvilágosítsa Őt, és tanítsa Őt igazság ösvényére, és tanítsa ismeretre, és oktassa Őt az értelem útára?

With whom took he counsel, and who instructed him, and taught him in the path of judgment, and taught him knowledge, and shewed to him the way of understanding?

Cu cine S-a sfătuit El, ca să ia învăţătură? Cine L-a învăţat cărarea dreptăţii? Cine L-a învăţat înţelepciunea şi I-a făcut cunoscut calea priceperii?

Whom did he consult, and who made him understand? Who taught him the path of justice, and taught him knowledge, and showed him the way of understanding?

Íme, a népek olyanok előtte, mint egy vízcsepp a vödörben, és mint egy porszem a mérlegserpenyőben. Íme, a szigeteket mint kis porszemeket fölemeli.

Ím a népek, mint egy csöpp a vederben, és mint egy porszem a mérlegserpenyőben, olyanoknak tekintetnek; ímé a szigeteket mint kis port emeli föl!

Behold, the nations are as a drop of a bucket, and are counted as the small dust of the balance: behold, he taketh up the isles as a very little thing.

Iată, neamurile sunt ca o picătură de apă din vadră, sunt ca praful pe o cumpănă; El ridică ostroavele ca un bob de nisip.

Behold, the nations are like a drop from a bucket, and are accounted as the dust on the scales; behold, he takes up the coastlands like fine dust.

Libánon nem elég a tűzre, vadja sem elég az áldozathoz.

És a Libánon nem elég a tűzre, és vada sem elég az áldozatra.

And Lebanon is not sufficient to burn, nor the beasts thereof sufficient for a burnt offering.

Libanul n-ajunge pentru foc, şi dobitoacele lui n-ajung pentru arderea de tot.

Lebanon would not suffice for fuel, nor are its beasts enough for a burnt offering.

Semmiség előtte minden nép, üres csekélységnél is kevesebbnek tartja azokat.

Minden népek semmik Ő előtte, a semmiségnél és ürességnél alábbvalóknak tartja.

All nations before him are as nothing; and they are counted to him less than nothing, and vanity.

Toate neamurile sunt ca o nimica înaintea Lui, nu sunt decât nimicnicie şi deşertăciune.

All the nations are as nothing before him, they are accounted by him as less than nothing and emptiness.

Kihez hasonlíthatnátok Istent, és milyen képmást készítenétek róla?

És kihez hasonlítjátok az Istent, és minő képet készítetek Ő róla?

To whom then will ye liken God? or what likeness will ye compare unto him?

Cu cine voiţi să asemănaţi pe Dumnezeu? Şi cu ce asemănare Îl veţi asemăna?

To whom then will you liken God, or what likeness compare with him?

A bálványt a mester önti, az ötvös pedig bearanyozza, és ezüstláncot forraszt rá.

A bálványt a mester megönti, és az ötvös megaranyozza azt, és olvaszt ezüst lánczot [reá];

The workman melteth a graven image, and the goldsmith spreadeth it over with gold, and casteth silver chains.

Meşterul toarnă idolul, şi argintarul îl îmbracă cu aur şi-i toarnă lănţişoare de argint.

An idol! A craftsman casts it, and a goldsmith overlays it with gold and casts for it silver chains.

Aki szegény ilyen áldozathoz, az olyan fát választ, amely nem korhad el; okos mestert keres, hogy olyan bálványt állítson, amely nem inog.

A ki szegény [ily] áldozatra, oly fát választ, a mely meg nem rothad; okos mestert keres, hogy oly bálványt állítson, a mely nem ingadoz.

He that is so impoverished that he hath no oblation chooseth a tree that will not rot; he seeketh unto him a cunning workman to prepare a graven image, that shall not be moved.

Iar cine este sărac alege ca dar un lemn care nu putrezeşte; îşi caută un meşter iscusit, ca să facă un idol care să nu se clatine.

He who is too impoverished for an offering chooses wood that will not rot; he seeks out a skillful craftsman to set up an idol that will not move.

Hát nem tudjátok, nem hallottátok, nem hirdették nektek eleitől fogva, és nem értették meg veletek, hogyan vettetett alap a földnek?

Hát nem tudjátok és nem hallottátok-é, hát nem hirdettetett néktek eleitől fogva, hát nem értettétek-é meg a föld fundamentomait?

Have ye not known? have ye not heard? hath it not been told you from the beginning? have ye not understood from the foundations of the earth?

Nu ştiţi? N-aţi auzit? Nu vi s-a făcut cunoscut de la început? Nu v-aţi gândit niciodată la întemeierea pământului?

Do you not know? Do you not hear? Has it not been told you from the beginning? Have you not understood from the foundations of the earth?

Az, aki ott trónol a földkerekség fölött, amelynek lakói olyanok előtte, mint a sáskák: ő az, aki kiteríti az eget, mint egy függönyt, kifeszíti, mint egy lakósátrat.

Ki ül a föld kereksége fölött, a melynek lakói mint sáskák [előtte,] ki az egeket kiterjeszti mint egy kárpitot, és kifeszíti, mint a sátort, lakásra;

It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in:

El şade deasupra cercului pământului, şi locuitorii lui sunt ca nişte lăcuste înaintea Lui; El întinde cerurile ca o maramă subţire şi le lăţeşte ca un cort, ca să locuiască în el.

It is he who sits above the circle of the earth, and its inhabitants are like grasshoppers; who stretches out the heavens like a curtain, and spreads them like a tent to dwell in;

Ő teszi semmivé a fejedelmeket, és pusztítja el a föld bíráit.

Ki a fejedelmeket semmivé teszi, és a föld biráit hiábavalókká változtatja;

That bringeth the princes to nothing; he maketh the judges of the earth as vanity.

El preface într-o nimica pe voievozi şi face o nimica din judecătorii pământului.

who brings princes to nothing, and makes the rulers of the earth as emptiness.

Még alig ültették el, alig vetették el őket, alig vert gyökeret törzsük a földben, ő csak rájuk fuvall, és kiszáradnak, és elragadja őket, mint forgószél a polyvát.

Még alig plántáltattak, még alig vettetének el, alig vert gyökeret a földben törzsük, és Ő csak rájok fuvall, és kiszáradnak és őket, mint polyvát, forgószél ragadja el:

Yea, they shall not be planted; yea, they shall not be sown: yea, their stock shall not take root in the earth: and he shall also blow upon them, and they shall wither, and the whirlwind shall take them away as stubble.

De abia sunt sădiţi, de abia sunt semănaţi, de abia li s-a înrădăcinat tulpina în pământ; şi El suflă peste ei de se usucă, şi un vârtej îi ia ca pe nişte paie.

Scarcely are they planted, scarcely sown, scarcely has their stem taken root in the earth, when he blows on them, and they wither, and the tempest carries them off like stubble.

Kihez hasonlíthatnátok hát engem, kihez volnék hasonló? – szól a Szent.

Kihez hasonlíttok hát engem, hogy hasonló volnék? szól a Szent.

To whom then will ye liken me, or shall I be equal? saith the Holy One.

„Cu cine Mă veţi asemăna, ca să fiu deopotrivă cu el? – zice Cel Sfânt.

To whom then will you compare me, that I should be like him? says the Holy One.

Emeljétek föl szemeteket a magasba, és lássátok, ki teremtette azokat! Ő, aki előhozza seregüket szám szerint, nevén szólítja mindnyájukat, nagy hatalma és ereje miatt egyetlen híjuk sincsen.

Emeljétek föl a magasba szemeiteket, és lássátok meg, ki teremté azokat? Ő, a ki kihozza seregöket szám szerint, mindnyáját nevén szólítja; nagy hatalma és erőssége miatt egyetlen híjok sincsen.

Lift up your eyes on high, and behold who hath created these things, that bringeth out their host by number: he calleth them all by names by the greatness of his might, for that he is strong in power; not one faileth.

Ridicaţi-vă ochii în sus şi priviţi! Cine a făcut aceste lucruri? Cine a făcut să meargă după număr, în şir, oştirea lor? El le cheamă pe toate pe nume; aşa de mare e puterea şi tăria Lui, că una nu lipseşte.

Lift up your eyes on high and see: who created these? He who brings out their host by number, calling them all by name; by the greatness of his might and because he is strong in power, not one is missing.

Miért mondod ezt, Jákób, miért szólsz így, Izráel: „Rejtve van utam az ÚR előtt, és nem gondol ügyemmel az én Istenem”?

Miért mondod Jákób és szólsz ekként Izráel: Elrejtetett az én útam az Úrtól, és ügyemmel nem gondol Istenem?!

Why sayest thou, O Jacob, and speakest, O Israel, My way is hid from the LORD, and my judgment is passed over from my God?

Pentru ce zici tu, Iacove, pentru ce zici tu, Israele: „Soarta mea este ascunsă dinaintea Domnului, şi dreptul meu este trecut cu vederea înaintea Dumnezeului meu”?

Why do you say, O Jacob, and speak, O Israel, “My way is hidden from the LORD, and my right is disregarded by my God”?

Hát nem tudod és nem hallottad, hogy örökkévaló Isten az ÚR, aki a föld határait teremtette? Nem fárad el és nem lankad meg, kikutathatatlan a bölcsessége!

Hát nem tudod-é és nem hallottad-é, hogy örökkévaló Isten az Úr, a ki teremté a föld határait? nem fárad és nem lankad el; végére mehetetlen bölcsesége!

Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.

Nu ştii? N-ai auzit? Dumnezeul cel Veşnic, Domnul, a făcut marginile pământului. El nu oboseşte, nici nu osteneşte; priceperea Lui nu poate fi pătrunsă.

Have you not known? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is unsearchable.

Erőt ad a megfáradtnak, és az erőtlen erejét megsokasítja.

Erőt ad a megfáradottnak, és az erőtlen erejét megsokasítja.

He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.

El dă tărie celui obosit şi măreşte puterea celui ce cade în leşin.

He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength.

Elfáradnak az ifjak, és meglankadnak, megtántorodnak a legkülönbek is.

Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:

Flăcăii obosesc şi ostenesc, chiar tinerii se clatină;

Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted;

De akik az ÚRban bíznak, azoknak ereje megújul; szárnyra kelnek, mint a sasok, futnak és nem lankadnak meg, járnak és nem fáradnak el.

De a kik az Úrban bíznak, erejök megújul, szárnyra kelnek, mint a saskeselyűk, futnak és nem lankadnak meg, járnak és nem fáradnak el!

But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

dar cei ce se încred în Domnul îşi înnoiesc puterea, ei zboară ca vulturii; aleargă, şi nu obosesc; umblă, şi nu ostenesc.

but they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.
