The burden of the desert of the sea. As whirlwinds in the south pass through; so it cometh from the desert, from a terrible land.

Prorocie asupra pustiului mării. Cum înaintează vijelia de la miazăzi, aşa vine el din pustiu, din ţara înfricoşată.

The oracle concerning the wilderness of the sea. As whirlwinds in the Negeb sweep on, it comes from the wilderness, from a terrible land.

Egy borzalmas látomás jelent meg nekem: a csalárd csal, a pusztító pusztít. Jöjj föl, Élám, szálld meg, Média! Minden fohászkodásnak véget vetek.

Kemény látás jelentetett meg nékem: a csalárd csal, a pusztító pusztít. Jőjj fel Élám, szálld meg Madai, minden ő fohászkodásának véget vetek.

A grievous vision is declared unto me; the treacherous dealer dealeth treacherously, and the spoiler spoileth. Go up, O Elam: besiege, O Media; all the sighing thereof have I made to cease.

O vedenie grozavă mi s-a descoperit. Asupritorul asupreşte, pustiitorul pustieşte. – „Suie-te, Elamule! Împresoară, Medio! Căci fac să înceteze toate oftările lor – zice Domnul.”

A stern vision is told to me; the traitor betrays, and the destroyer destroys. Go up, O Elam; lay siege, O Media; all the sighing she has caused I bring to an end.

Ezért ágyékom telve van fájdalommal, és olyan kínok fogtak el, mint a szülő asszony kínja. Gyötrődöm hallása miatt, és megrémültem látása miatt.

Ezért ágyékim telvék fájdalommal, és kínok fogtak el, mint a szűlő asszony kínjai; gyötrődöm hallása miatt, és megrémültem látása miatt.

Therefore are my loins filled with pain: pangs have taken hold upon me, as the pangs of a woman that travaileth: I was bowed down at the hearing of it; I was dismayed at the seeing of it.

De aceea mi s-a umplut inima de nelinişte, m-apucă durerile, ca durerile unei femei când naşte. Zvârcolirile nu mă lasă s-aud, tremurul mă împiedică să văd.

Therefore my loins are filled with anguish; pangs have seized me, like the pangs of a woman in labor; I am bowed down so that I cannot hear; I am dismayed so that I cannot see.

Reszket a szívem, félelem rettent, a számomra oly kedves alkonyat rettegéssé lett nekem.

Reszket szívem, iszonyúság rettent, a kedves éjszakát remegéssé tevé nékem.

My heart panted, fearfulness affrighted me: the night of my pleasure hath he turned into fear unto me.

Îmi bate inima cu putere, m-apucă groaza; noaptea plăcerilor mele ajunge o noapte de spaimă.

My heart staggers; horror has appalled me; the twilight I longed for has been turned for me into trembling.

Terítik az asztalt, terítik a szőnyeget, esznek és isznak. Föl, fejedelmek, kenjétek a pajzsot!

Teríts asztalt, vigyázzon a vigyázó, egyetek, igyatok; föl fejedelmek, kenjétek a paizst!

Prepare the table, watch in the watchtower, eat, drink: arise, ye princes, and anoint the shield.

Ei pun masa, straja veghează, şi ei mănâncă, beau… Dar deodată se aude strigând: „În picioare, voievozi! Ungeţi scutul!”

They prepare the table, they spread the rugs, they eat, they drink. Arise, O princes; oil the shield!

Mert így szólt hozzám az ÚR: Menj, és állíts őrállót, s amit lát, mondja el!

Mert így szólott hozzám az Úr: Menj és állass őrállót, a mit lát, mondja meg.

For thus hath the LORD said unto me, Go, set a watchman, let him declare what he seeth.

Căci aşa mi-a vorbit Domnul: „Du-te şi pune un străjer, ca să dea de veste despre ce va vedea.” –

For thus the Lord said to me: “Go, set a watchman; let him announce what he sees.

És látott lovas csapatot, lovasokat párban meg szamaras csapatot és tevéken nyargalókat, és nagy figyelemmel kémlelt.

És látott lovas csapatot, páros lovagokat, szamaras csapatot, tevés csapatot, és nagy figyelmesen hallgatott.

And he saw a chariot with a couple of horsemen, a chariot of asses, and a chariot of camels; and he hearkened diligently with much heed:

El a văzut călărime, călăreţi doi câte doi, călăreţi pe măgari, călăreţi pe cămile; şi asculta cu luare aminte, cu cea mai mare băgare de seamă.

When he sees riders, horsemen in pairs, riders on donkeys, riders on camels, let him listen diligently, very diligently.”

Majd kiáltott, mint az oroszlán: Uram, egész nap az őrtoronyban állok szüntelen, őrhelyemen állok minden éjszaka.

És kiálta, mint oroszlán: Uram, az őrtoronyban állok szüntelen napestig, és őrhelyemen állok egész éjszakákon.

And he cried, A lion: My lord, I stand continually upon the watchtower in the daytime, and I am set in my ward whole nights:

Apoi a strigat ca un leu: „Doamne, am stat mereu în turnul meu de pază şi stăteam de strajă în toate nopţile.

Then he who saw cried out: “Upon a watchtower I stand, O Lord, continually by day, and at my post I am stationed whole nights.

Íme, lovas csapat jött, lovasok párosával! Majd így szólt: Elesett, elesett Babilón, és isteneinek minden faragott képe a földön fekszik összetörve.

És ímé, lovas csapat jött, páros lovagok, és szólott és mondá: Elesett, elesett Babilon, s isteneinek minden faragott képeit a földre zúzták le.

And, behold, here cometh a chariot of men, with a couple of horsemen. And he answered and said, Babylon is fallen, is fallen; and all the graven images of her gods he hath broken unto the ground.

Şi iată că a venit călărime şi călăreţi, doi câte doi.” Apoi a luat iarăşi cuvântul şi a zis: „A căzut, a căzut Babilonul, şi toate icoanele dumnezeilor lui sunt sfărâmate la pământ!”

And behold, here come riders, horsemen in pairs!” And he answered, “Fallen, fallen is Babylon; and all the carved images of her gods he has shattered to the ground.”

Ó, kicsépelt és földre tiport népem! Amit a Seregek URától, Izráel Istenétől hallottam, azt jelentettem meg nektek!

Oh én cséplésem és szérűmnek fia, a mit hallottam a seregek Urától, Izráel Istenétől, azt jelentém meg néktek!

O my threshing, and the corn of my floor: that which I have heard of the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, have I declared unto you.

O, poporul meu, care ai fost stropşit ca boabele de grâu din aria mea, ce am auzit de la Domnul oştirilor, Dumnezeul lui Israel, aceea vă vestesc.

O my threshed and winnowed one, what I have heard from the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, I announce to you.

Jövendölés Dúmá ellen. Széírből így kiáltanak hozzám: Őrálló! Meddig tart még az éjszaka, őrálló, meddig még az éjjel?

Jövendölés Dúma ellen: Seirből így kiáltnak hozzám: Vigyázó! meddig még az éjszaka, meddig még ez éj?

The burden of Dumah. He calleth to me out of Seir, Watchman, what of the night? Watchman, what of the night?

Prorocie asupra Dumei. Mi se strigă din Seir: „Străjerule, cât mai este din noapte? Străjerule, mai este mult din noapte?”

The oracle concerning Dumah. One is calling to me from Seir, “Watchman, what time of the night? Watchman, what time of the night?”

Az őrálló így szólt: Eljön a reggel s az éjszaka is. Ha kérdezni akartok, kérdezzetek, gyertek, térjetek vissza.

Szólt a vigyázó: Eljött a reggel, az éjszaka is; ha kérdeni akartok, kérdjetek, forduljatok vissza és jertek el!

The watchman said, The morning cometh, and also the night: if ye will enquire, enquire ye: return, come.

Străjerul răspunde: „Vine dimineaţa, şi este tot noapte. Dacă vreţi să întrebaţi, întrebaţi; întoarceţi-vă şi veniţi iarăşi.”

The watchman says: “Morning comes, and also the night. If you will inquire, inquire; come back again.”

Jövendölés Arábia ellen. Dedan karavánjai, akik Arábia erdeiben háltok,

Jövendölés Arábia ellen: Az erdőben háltok Arábiában, Dédán utazó seregei.

The burden upon Arabia. In the forest in Arabia shall ye lodge, O ye travelling companies of Dedanim.

Prorocie asupra Arabiei. Veţi petrece noaptea în tufele Arabiei, cete de negustori din Dedan!

The oracle concerning Arabia. In the thickets in Arabia you will lodge, O caravans of Dedanites.

hozzatok vizet a szomjazónak! Téma földjének lakói, kenyérrel jöjjetek a bujdosó elé!

A szomjazó elé hozzatok vizet! Témá földének lakosi kenyerökkel jönnek a bujdosó elébe.

The inhabitants of the land of Tema brought water to him that was thirsty, they prevented with their bread him that fled.

Duceţi apă celor ce le este sete; locuitorii ţării Tema, duceţi pâine fugarilor!

To the thirsty bring water; meet the fugitive with bread, O inhabitants of the land of Tema.

Mert fegyver elől bujdosnak, kivont kard elől, megfeszített íjak elől és nehéz harc elől.

Mert az [ellenség] fegyvere előtt bujdosnak, a kivont fegyver előtt és a felvont kézívek előtt és a nehéz harcz előtt.

For they fled from the swords, from the drawn sword, and from the bent bow, and from the grievousness of war.

Căci ei fug dinaintea săbiilor, dinaintea sabiei scoase din teacă, dinaintea arcului încordat şi dinaintea unei lupte înverşunate.

For they have fled from the swords, from the drawn sword, from the bent bow, and from the press of battle.

Mert így szólt hozzám az Úr: Még egy esztendő, amely olyan, mint a béres esztendeje, és elvész Kédár minden dicsősége.

Mert így szólott hozzám az Úr: Még egy esztendő, mely mint a béresnek esztendeje, és elvész Kédárnak minden dicsősége;

For thus hath the LORD said unto me, Within a year, according to the years of an hireling, and all the glory of Kedar shall fail:

Căci aşa mi-a vorbit Domnul: „Încă un an, ca anii unui simbriaş, şi s-a isprăvit cu toată slava Chedarului.

For thus the Lord said to me, “Within a year, according to the years of a hired worker, all the glory of Kedar will come to an end.

Kevés marad meg a kédári vitézek íjaiból. Az ÚR, Izráel Istene szólt.

És Kédár vitéz fiainak kézíve számának maradéka megkevesedik; mert az Úr, Izráel Istene mondá.

And the residue of the number of archers, the mighty men of the children of Kedar, shall be diminished: for the LORD God of Israel hath spoken it.

Nu va mai rămâne decât un mic număr din vitejii arcaşi, fii ai Chedarului, căci Domnul Dumnezeul lui Israel a spus-o.”

And the remainder of the archers of the mighty men of the sons of Kedar will be few, for the LORD, the God of Israel, has spoken.”
