Azután ezt parancsolta József a háza intézőjének: Töltsd meg ezeknek az embereknek a zsákjait annyi eleséggel, amennyit el tudnak vinni, és mindegyikük pénzét tedd a zsákja szájába.

Azután parancsola [József] az ő háza gondviselőjének, mondván: Töltsd meg ez embereknek zsákjait eleséggel a mennyit elvihetnek; és mindeniknek pénzét tedd zsákja szájába.

And he commanded the steward of his house, saying, Fill the men's sacks with food, as much as they can carry, and put every man's money in his sack's mouth.

Iosif a dat următoarea poruncă economului casei lui: „Umple cu merinde sacii oamenilor acestora, cât vor putea să ducă, şi pune argintul fiecăruia la gura sacului său.

Then he commanded the steward of his house, “Fill the men’s sacks with food, as much as they can carry, and put each man’s money in the mouth of his sack,

A poharamat pedig, az ezüstpoharat tedd a legkisebbik zsákjának a szájába, a gabonájának árával együtt. Ő úgy cselekedett, ahogy József meghagyta.

Az én poharamat pedig, az ezüst poharat, tedd a legkisebbik zsákjának szájába gabonájának árával együtt. És az József beszéde szerint cselekedék, a mint beszélt vala.

And put my cup, the silver cup, in the sack's mouth of the youngest, and his corn money. And he did according to the word that Joseph had spoken.

Să pui şi paharul meu, paharul de argint, la gura sacului celui mai tânăr, împreună cu argintul cuvenit pentru preţul grâului lui.” Economul a făcut cum îi poruncise Iosif.

and put my cup, the silver cup, in the mouth of the sack of the youngest, with his money for the grain.” And he did as Joseph told him.

As soon as the morning was light, the men were sent away, they and their asses.

As soon as the morning was light, the men were sent away with their donkeys.

Kimentek a városból, de nem jutottak messzire, amikor József azt mondta a háza intézőjének: Kelj fel, siess utánuk azoknak az embereknek, és ha eléred őket, mondd nekik: „Miért fizettetek gonosszal a jóért?

Kimenének a városból, de nem messze haladhatának, a mikor monda József az ő háza gondviselőjének: Kelj fel, siess utánuk azoknak az embereknek és ha eléred őket, mondd nékik: Miért fizettetek gonoszszal a jó helyébe?

And when they were gone out of the city, and not yet far off, Joseph said unto his steward, Up, follow after the men; and when thou dost overtake them, say unto them, Wherefore have ye rewarded evil for good?

They had gone only a short distance from the city. Now Joseph said to his steward, “Up, follow after the men, and when you overtake them, say to them, ‘Why have you repaid evil for good?

Hiszen abból iszik az én uram, és abból szokott jövendölni! Gonoszul cselekedtétek, amit cselekedtetek!”

Avagy nem abból iszik-é az én uram? és abból szokott jövendölni! Gonoszul cselekedtétek, a mit cselekedtetek!

Is not this it in which my lord drinketh, and whereby indeed he divineth? ye have done evil in so doing.

De ce aţi furat paharul din care bea domnul meu şi de care se slujeşte pentru ghicit? Rău aţi făcut că v-aţi purtat astfel.”

Is it not from this that my lord drinks, and by this that he practices divination? You have done evil in doing this.’”

Mikor utolérte őket, ezeket a szavakat mondta nekik.

És utóléré őket, és ilyen szavakkal szóla nékik.

And he overtook them, and he spake unto them these same words.

Economul i-a ajuns şi le-a spus aceste cuvinte.

When he overtook them, he spoke to them these words.

Azok pedig így válaszoltak: Miért mond az én uram ilyeneket? Távol legyen szolgáidtól, hogy ilyen dolgot cselekedjenek.

Azok pedig mondának néki: Miért szól az én uram ilyen szavakkal? Távol legyen szolgáidtól, hogy ilyen dolgot cselekedjenek.

And they said unto him, Wherefore saith my lord these words? God forbid that thy servants should do according to this thing:

Ei i-au răspuns: „Domnule, pentru ce vorbeşti astfel? Să ferească Dumnezeu pe robii tăi să fi săvârşit o asemenea faptă!

They said to him, “Why does my lord speak such words as these? Far be it from your servants to do such a thing!

Íme, a pénzt, amelyet zsákjaink szájában találtunk, meghoztuk neked Kánaán földjéről. Hogy loptunk volna hát urad házából ezüstöt vagy aranyat?

Ímé a pénzt, melyet zsákjaink szájában találtunk vala, meghoztuk néked Kanaán földéről; hogy loptunk volna hát urad házából ezüstöt vagy aranyat?

Behold, the money, which we found in our sacks' mouths, we brought again unto thee out of the land of Canaan: how then should we steal out of thy lord's house silver or gold?

Iată, noi ţi-am adus din ţara Canaanului argintul pe care l-am găsit la gura sacilor noştri; cum am fi putut să furăm argint sau aur din casa domnului tău?

Behold, the money that we found in the mouths of our sacks we brought back to you from the land of Canaan. How then could we steal silver or gold from your lord’s house?

Akinél megtalálják közülünk, szolgáid közül, az haljon meg, sőt mi is szolgái leszünk uramnak.

Akinél megtaláltatik a te szolgáid közűl, haljon meg az; sőt mi is szolgái leszünk uramnak.

With whomsoever of thy servants it be found, both let him die, and we also will be my lord's bondmen.

Să moară acela dintre robii tăi la care se va găsi paharul, şi noi înşine să fim robi ai domnului nostru!”

Whichever of your servants is found with it shall die, and we also will be my lord’s servants.”

Ő így szólt: Most is legyen beszédetek szerint: akinél megtalálják, az legyen a szolgám, ti azonban mentesek legyetek.

És monda: Mostan is legyen beszédetek szerint: a kinél megtaláltatik, [az] légyen nékem szolgám, ti pedig mentek legyetek.

And he said, Now also let it be according unto your words: he with whom it is found shall be my servant; and ye shall be blameless.

El a zis: „Fie după cuvintele voastre! Acela la care se va găsi paharul să fie robul meu; iar voi veţi fi nevinovaţi.”

He said, “Let it be as you say: he who is found with it shall be my servant, and the rest of you shall be innocent.”

Erre mindegyikük sietve lerakta a zsákját a földre, és kioldozta.

És sietének és leraká kiki az ő zsákját a földre, és kioldá kiki az ő zsákját.

Then they speedily took down every man his sack to the ground, and opened every man his sack.

Îndată şi-a coborât fiecare sacul la pământ. Fiecare şi-a deschis sacul.

Then each man quickly lowered his sack to the ground, and each man opened his sack.

Ő keresgélni kezdett. A legnagyobbikon kezdte, s a legkisebbiken végezte, és megtalálta a poharat Benjámin zsákjában.

És keresgéle; a legnagyobbikon kezdé s a legkissebbiken végezé, és megtalálá a poharat a Benjámin zsákjában.

And he searched, and began at the eldest, and left at the youngest: and the cup was found in Benjamin's sack.

Economul i-a scotocit, începând cu cel mai în vârstă şi sfârşind cu cel mai tânăr; şi paharul a fost găsit în sacul lui Beniamin.

And he searched, beginning with the eldest and ending with the youngest. And the cup was found in Benjamin’s sack.

Erre ők megszaggaták ruhájukat, mindegyik fölmálházta a szamarát, és visszatértek a városba.

Azok pedig meghasogaták ruhájokat, és kiki megterhelé a maga szamarát, és visszatérének a városba.

Then they rent their clothes, and laded every man his ass, and returned to the city.

Ei şi-au rupt hainele, şi-a încărcat fiecare măgarul şi s-au întors în cetate.

Then they tore their clothes, and every man loaded his donkey, and they returned to the city.

Júda és testvérei bementek József házába, aki még ott volt, és földre borultak előtte.

És beméne Júda és az ő atyjafiai a József házába, ki még ott vala, és földre esének előtte.

And Judah and his brethren came to Joseph's house; for he was yet there: and they fell before him on the ground.

Iuda şi fraţii lui au ajuns la casa lui Iosif, pe când era el încă acolo, şi s-au aruncat cu faţa la pământ înaintea lui.

When Judah and his brothers came to Joseph’s house, he was still there. They fell before him to the ground.

József ezt mondta nekik: Hogyan tehettetek ilyet! Hát nem tudjátok, hogy az ilyen magamféle ember jövendölni tud?

És monda nékik József: Mi dolog ez a mit cselekedtetek? Avagy nem tudjátok-é hogy az ilyen magamféle ember jövendölni tud?

And Joseph said unto them, What deed is this that ye have done? wot ye not that such a man as I can certainly divine?

Iosif le-a zis: „Ce faptă aţi făcut? Nu ştiţi că un om ca mine are putere să ghicească?”

Joseph said to them, “What deed is this that you have done? Do you not know that a man like me can indeed practice divination?”

Júda így válaszolt: Mit mondhatunk az én uramnak? Mit szóljunk, és mivel igazoljuk magunkat? Isten büntetése utolérte szolgáidat. Íme, mi az én uramnak szolgái vagyunk, mind mi, mind pedig az, akinek kezében a poharat megtalálták.

És monda Júda: Mit mondhatunk az én uramnak? Mit szóljunk és mivel igazoljuk magunkat? Az Isten büntetése utólérte szolgáidat. Ímé mi az én uram szolgái vagyunk, mind mi, mind az, a kinek kezében a pohár találtatott.

And Judah said, What shall we say unto my lord? what shall we speak? or how shall we clear ourselves? God hath found out the iniquity of thy servants: behold, we are my lord's servants, both we, and he also with whom the cup is found.

Iuda a răspuns: „Ce să mai spunem domnului nostru? Cum să mai vorbim? Cum să ne mai îndreptăţim? Dumnezeu a dat pe faţă nelegiuirea robilor tăi. Iată-ne robi ai domnului nostru: noi şi acela la care s-a găsit paharul.”

And Judah said, “What shall we say to my lord? What shall we speak? Or how can we clear ourselves? God has found out the guilt of your servants; behold, we are my lord’s servants, both we and he also in whose hand the cup has been found.”

Ő pedig ezt mondta: Távol legyen tőlem, hogy ilyet tegyek. Akinek a kezében a poharat megtalálták, az legyen a szolgám, ti pedig békességgel menjetek el atyátokhoz.

Ő pedig monda: Távol legyen tőlem, hogy azt cselekedjem: az a kinek kezében találtatott a pohár, az legyen nékem szolgám, ti pedig békességgel menjetek el a ti atyátokhoz.

And he said, God forbid that I should do so: but the man in whose hand the cup is found, he shall be my servant; and as for you, get you up in peace unto your father.

Dar Iosif a zis: „Să mă ferească Dumnezeu să fac aşa ceva! Omul la care s-a găsit paharul va fi robul meu; dar voi suiţi-vă înapoi în pace la tatăl vostru.”

But he said, “Far be it from me that I should do so! Only the man in whose hand the cup was found shall be my servant. But as for you, go up in peace to your father.”

De Júda hozzálépett, és ezt mondta: Kérlek, uram, hadd szólhasson egy szót füledbe a te szolgád, és ne gerjedjen föl haragod a te szolgád ellen, hiszen olyan vagy, mint a fáraó!

De Júda hozzá járula és monda: Kérlek, uram, hadd szólhasson egy szót uram fülébe a te szolgád, és ne gerjedjen fel haragod a te szolgád ellen; mert hasonló vagy te a Faraóhoz.

Then Judah came near unto him, and said, Oh my lord, let thy servant, I pray thee, speak a word in my lord's ears, and let not thine anger burn against thy servant: for thou art even as Pharaoh.

Atunci Iuda s-a apropiat de Iosif şi a zis: „Te rog, domnul meu, dă voie robului tău să spună o vorbă domnului meu şi să nu te mânii pe robul tău! Căci tu eşti ca faraon.

Then Judah went up to him and said, “Oh, my lord, please let your servant speak a word in my lord’s ears, and let not your anger burn against your servant, for you are like Pharaoh himself.

Az én uram azt kérdezte szolgáitól: Van-e atyátok vagy testvéretek?

Az én uram kérdezte vala az ő szolgáit, mondván: Van-é atyátok, vagy testvéretek?

My lord asked his servants, saying, Have ye a father, or a brother?

Domnul meu a întrebat pe robii săi, zicând: „Mai trăieşte tatăl vostru şi mai aveţi vreun frate?”

My lord asked his servants, saying, ‘Have you a father, or a brother?’

Akkor mi azt feleltük az én uramnak: Van egy idős atyánk, akinek idős korában született egy gyermeke. Ennek a bátyja meghalt, és csak ő maga maradt az ő anyjától, és ezért szereti úgy őt az ő atyja.

Akkor mi azt felelénk az én uramnak: Van egy vén atyánk, és egy kis gyermek, a ki az ő vénségében lett; és ennek bátyja megholt, és csak ő maga maradt az ő anyjától, és az ő atyja szereti őt.

And we said unto my lord, We have a father, an old man, and a child of his old age, a little one; and his brother is dead, and he alone is left of his mother, and his father loveth him.

Noi am răspuns domnului meu: „Avem un tată bătrân şi un frate tânăr, copil făcut la bătrâneţea lui; băiatul acesta avea un frate care a murit şi care era de la aceeaşi mamă; el a rămas singur, şi tatăl lui îl iubeşte.”

And we said to my lord, ‘We have a father, an old man, and a young brother, the child of his old age. His brother is dead, and he alone is left of his mother’s children, and his father loves him.’

Te azt mondtad szolgáidnak: Hozzátok el hozzám, hadd lássam őt.

És azt mondád a te szolgáidnak: Hozzátok én hozzám azt, hogy szemeimet reá vessem.

And thou saidst unto thy servants, Bring him down unto me, that I may set mine eyes upon him.

Tu ai spus robilor tăi: „Aduceţi-l la mine ca să-l văd cu ochii mei.”

Then you said to your servants, ‘Bring him down to me, that I may set my eyes on him.’

Mi azt feleltük az én uramnak: Nem hagyhatja el az a fiú az atyját, mert ha elhagyja, meghal az atyja.

És mondánk az én uramnak: Nem hagyhatja el az a fiú az ő atyját; mert ha elhagyja atyját, meghal [az].

And we said unto my lord, The lad cannot leave his father: for if he should leave his father, his father would die.

Noi am răspuns domnului meu: „Băiatul nu poate părăsi pe tatăl său; dacă-l va părăsi, tatăl său are să moară.”

We said to my lord, ‘The boy cannot leave his father, for if he should leave his father, his father would die.’

Ekkor ezt mondtad szolgáidnak: Ha a legkisebb testvéretek nem jön el veletek, színem elé ne kerüljetek többé!

És ezt mondád a te szolgáidnak: Ha a ti legkisebbik atyátokfia el nem jő veletek, színem elé se kerűljetek többé.

And thou saidst unto thy servants, Except your youngest brother come down with you, ye shall see my face no more.

Tu ai spus robilor tăi: „Dacă nu se va coborî şi fratele vostru împreună cu voi, să nu-mi mai vedeţi faţa.”

Then you said to your servants, ‘Unless your youngest brother comes down with you, you shall not see my face again.’

Mikor fölmentünk a te szolgádhoz, az én atyámhoz, és tudtul adtuk neki az én uram beszédét,

Mikor azért felmenénk a te szolgádhoz, az én atyámhoz és tudtul adjuk vala néki az én uramnak beszédét;

And it came to pass when we came up unto thy servant my father, we told him the words of my lord.

Când ne-am suit la tatăl meu, robul tău, i-am spus cuvintele domnului meu.

“When we went back to your servant my father, we told him the words of my lord.

atyánk így szólt: „Menjetek vissza, és vegyetek nekünk egy kevés eleséget.”

És monda a mi atyánk: Menjetek vissza, és vegyetek nékünk [egy ]kevés eleséget.

And our father said, Go again, and buy us a little food.

Tatăl nostru a zis: „Duceţi-vă iarăşi să ne cumpăraţi ceva merinde.”

And when our father said, ‘Go again, buy us a little food,’

Mi erre azt feleltük: „Nem mehetünk. Ha a legkisebb testvérünk velünk lesz, akkor lemegyünk, mert nem mehetünk annak a férfinak a színe elé, ha nem lesz velünk a legkisebb testvérünk.”

És mondánk: Nem mehetünk le; ha a mi legkisebbik atyánkfia velünk lesz, akkor lemegyünk; mert nem mehetünk ama férfiú színe elé, ha a mi legkisebbik atyánkfia velünk nem lesz.

And we said, We cannot go down: if our youngest brother be with us, then will we go down: for we may not see the man's face, except our youngest brother be with us.

Noi am răspuns: „Nu putem să ne ducem; dar dacă fratele nostru cel tânăr va fi cu noi, ne vom duce; căci nu putem vedea faţa omului aceluia decât dacă fratele nostru cel tânăr va fi cu noi.”

we said, ‘We cannot go down. If our youngest brother goes with us, then we will go down. For we cannot see the man’s face unless our youngest brother is with us.’

Erre a te szolgád, az én atyám azt mondta nekünk: „Tudjátok, hogy a feleségem csak két fiút szült nekem.

És monda a te szolgád, az én atyám, nékünk: Ti tudjátok hogy az én feleségem nékem csak két [fiat] szűlt.

And thy servant my father said unto us, Ye know that my wife bare me two sons:

Robul tău, tatăl nostru, ne-a zis: „Voi ştiţi că nevasta mea mi-a născut doi fii.

Then your servant my father said to us, ‘You know that my wife bore me two sons.

Az egyik elment tőlem – úgy gondolom, bizonyára vadállat tépte széjjel –, és attól fogva nem láttam.

Az egyik kiméne tőlem, és azt mondom vala: bizonyára [fenevad] szaggatta széllyel és attól fogva nem láttam őt.

And the one went out from me, and I said, Surely he is torn in pieces; and I saw him not since:

Unul a ieşit de la mine şi cred că a fost sfâşiat negreşit de fiare, căci nu l-am mai văzut până astăzi.

One left me, and I said, “Surely he has been torn to pieces,” and I have never seen him since.

Ha ezt is elviszitek szemem elől, és veszedelem találja érni, akkor ősz fejemet keserűségtől borítva bocsátjátok le a sírba.”

Ha ezt is elviszitek szemeim elől, s veszedelem találja érni, akkor az én ősz fejemet keserűségtől borítva bocsátjátok alá a koporsóba.

And if ye take this also from me, and mischief befall him, ye shall bring down my gray hairs with sorrow to the grave.

Dacă-mi mai luaţi şi pe acesta şi i se va întâmpla vreo nenorocire, cu durere îmi veţi coborî bătrâneţile în Locuinţa morţilor.”

If you take this one also from me, and harm happens to him, you will bring down my gray hairs in evil to Sheol.’

30

Ha tehát most úgy megyek vissza a te szolgádhoz, az én atyámhoz, hogy e fiú nem lesz velünk, mivelhogy annak lelke ennek lelkéhez van nőve,

Ha tehát most visszamenéndek a te szolgádhoz, az én atyámhoz, és e fiú nem lesz velünk, mivelhogy annak lelke ennek lelkéhez van nőve,

Now therefore when I come to thy servant my father, and the lad be not with us; seeing that his life is bound up in the lad's life;

Acum, dacă mă voi întoarce la robul tău, tatăl meu, fără să avem cu noi băiatul de sufletul căruia este nedezlipit sufletul lui,

“Now therefore, as soon as I come to your servant my father, and the boy is not with us, then, as his life is bound up in the boy’s life,

ha meglátja, hogy nincs meg a gyermek, meghal, s akkor a te szolgáid szolgádnak, a mi atyánknak ősz fejét búba borítva bocsátják le a sírba.

Ha meglátja, hogy nincs meg a gyermek, meghal s akkor a te szolgáid, a te szolgádnak, a mi atyánknak ősz fejét búba borítva bocsátják alá a koporsóba.

It shall come to pass, when he seeth that the lad is not with us, that he will die: and thy servants shall bring down the gray hairs of thy servant our father with sorrow to the grave.

el are să moară când va vedea că băiatul nu este; şi robii tăi vor coborî cu durere în Locuinţa morţilor bătrâneţile robului tău, tatăl nostru.

as soon as he sees that the boy is not with us, he will die, and your servants will bring down the gray hairs of your servant our father with sorrow to Sheol.

De szolgád így vállalt kezességet atyjánál a fiúért: Ha nem hozom vissza hozzád, életem végéig bűnös legyek atyám előtt.

Mivel a te szolgád e fiúért az ő atyjánál kezes lett, mondván: Ha vissza nem hozom őt hozzád, mind éltig bűnös legyek az én atyám előtt.

For thy servant became surety for the lad unto my father, saying, If I bring him not unto thee, then I shall bear the blame to my father for ever.

Căci robul tău s-a pus chezaş pentru copil şi a zis tatălui meu: „Dacă nu-l voi aduce înapoi la tine, vinovat să fiu pentru totdeauna faţă de tatăl meu.”

For your servant became a pledge of safety for the boy to my father, saying, ‘If I do not bring him back to you, then I shall bear the blame before my father all my life.’

Ezért hadd maradjon itt e gyermek helyett a te szolgád az én uramnak szolgájául. E gyermek pedig menjen el az ő bátyjaival.

Hadd maradjon azért e gyermek helyébe a te szolgád, az én uramnak szolgájáúl; e gyermek pedig menjen fel az ő bátyjaival.

Now therefore, I pray thee, let thy servant abide instead of the lad a bondman to my lord; and let the lad go up with his brethren.

Îngăduie, dar, te rog, robului tău să rămână în locul băiatului, ca rob al domnului meu; iar băiatul să se suie înapoi cu fraţii săi.

Now therefore, please let your servant remain instead of the boy as a servant to my lord, and let the boy go back with his brothers.

Mert hogyan mehetnék én atyámhoz, ha e gyermek nincs velem? Nem nézhetném a nyomorúságot, amely atyámat emésztené!

Mert mimódon mehetnék én fel atyámhoz, ha e gyermek velem nem lenne, a nélkül, hogy ne lássam a nyomorúságot, mely atyámat érné?

For how shall I go up to my father, and the lad be not with me? lest peradventure I see the evil that shall come on my father.

Cum mă voi putea sui eu la tatăl meu, dacă băiatul nu este cu mine? Ah! să nu văd mâhnirea tatălui meu!”

For how can I go back to my father if the boy is not with me? I fear to see the evil that would find my father.”
