Ábrahám pedig öreg, élemedett korú ember volt, és az ÚR mindenben megáldotta.

Ábrahám pedig vén élemedett [ember] vala, és az Úr mindenben megáldotta vala Ábrahámot.

And Abraham was old, and well stricken in age: and the LORD had blessed Abraham in all things.

Avraam era bătrân, înaintat în vârstă; şi Domnul binecuvântase pe Avraam în orice lucru.

Now Abraham was old, well advanced in years. And the LORD had blessed Abraham in all things.

Mondta azért Ábrahám háza legöregebb szolgájának, aki mindenét intézte: Tedd a kezed a csípőm alá,

Monda azért Ábrahám az ő háza öregebb szolgájának, a ki őnéki mindenében gazda vala: Tedd a kezed tomporom alá!

And Abraham said unto his eldest servant of his house, that ruled over all that he had, Put, I pray thee, thy hand under my thigh:

Avraam a zis celui mai bătrân rob din casa lui, care era îngrijitorul tuturor averilor lui: „Pune-ţi, te rog, mâna sub coapsa mea;

And Abraham said to his servant, the oldest of his household, who had charge of all that he had, “Put your hand under my thigh,

hogy megeskesselek az ÚRra, a mennynek és a földnek Istenére, hogy nem a kánaániak leányai közül veszel feleséget fiamnak, akik között lakom,

Hogy megeskesselek téged az Úrra, a mennynek Istenére, és a földnek Istenére, hogy nem vészesz feleséget az én fiamnak a Kananeusok leányai közűl, a kik között lakom.

And I will make thee swear by the LORD, the God of heaven, and the God of the earth, that thou shalt not take a wife unto my son of the daughters of the Canaanites, among whom I dwell:

şi te voi pune să juri pe Domnul, Dumnezeul cerului şi Dumnezeul pământului că nu vei lua fiului meu o nevastă dintre fetele canaaniţilor, în mijlocul cărora locuiesc,

that I may make you swear by the LORD, the God of heaven and God of the earth, that you will not take a wife for my son from the daughters of the Canaanites, among whom I dwell,

hanem elmész az én hazámba, a rokonaim közé, és onnan veszel feleséget fiamnak, Izsáknak.

But thou shalt go unto my country, and to my kindred, and take a wife unto my son Isaac.

ci te vei duce în ţara şi la rudele mele să iei nevastă fiului meu, Isaac.”

but will go to my country and to my kindred, and take a wife for my son Isaac.”

Mondta pedig neki a szolga: Ha az a leányzó nem akarna eljönni velem e földre, akkor visszavigyem-e fiadat arra a földre, ahonnan jöttél?

Monda pedig őnéki a szolga: Hátha az a leányzó nem akar velem eljőni e földre, ugyan vissza vigyem-é a te fiadat arra a földre, a honnan kijöttél vala?

And the servant said unto him, Peradventure the woman will not be willing to follow me unto this land: must I needs bring thy son again unto the land from whence thou camest?

Robul i-a răspuns: „Poate că femeia n-are să vrea să mă urmeze în ţara aceasta; va trebui să duc oare pe fiul tău în ţara de unde ai ieşit tu?”

The servant said to him, “Perhaps the woman may not be willing to follow me to this land. Must I then take your son back to the land from which you came?”

Felelt neki Ábrahám: Vigyázz, a fiamat vissza ne vidd oda!

Felele néki Ábrahám: Vigyázz, az én fiamat oda vissza ne vidd.

And Abraham said unto him, Beware thou that thou bring not my son thither again.

Avraam i-a zis: „Să nu care cumva să duci pe fiul meu acolo!

Abraham said to him, “See to it that you do not take my son back there.

Az ÚR, a mennynek Istene, aki kihozott engem atyám házából és rokonságom földjéről, aki szólt hozzám, és megesküdött nekem: „A te magodnak adom ezt a földet”, elbocsátja előtted angyalát, hogy onnan végy fiamnak feleséget.

Az Úr az égnek Istene, ki engemet kihozott az én atyámnak házából, és az én rokonságimnak földéről, a ki szólt nékem, és megesküdött nékem mondván: A te magodnak adom ezt a földet; elbocsátja az ő Angyalát te előtted, hogy onnan végy az én fiamnak feleséget.

The LORD God of heaven, which took me from my father's house, and from the land of my kindred, and which spake unto me, and that sware unto me, saying, Unto thy seed will I give this land; he shall send his angel before thee, and thou shalt take a wife unto my son from thence.

Domnul Dumnezeul cerului, care m-a scos din casa tatălui meu şi din patria mea, care mi-a vorbit şi mi-a jurat, zicând: „Seminţei tale voi da ţara aceasta”, va trimite pe Îngerul Său înaintea ta; şi de acolo vei lua o nevastă fiului meu.

The LORD, the God of heaven, who took me from my father’s house and from the land of my kindred, and who spoke to me and swore to me, ‘To your offspring I will give this land,’ he will send his angel before you, and you shall take a wife for my son from there.

Hogyha pedig nem akar a leányzó eljönni veled, mentes leszel a nekem tett eskü alól. Csak vissza ne vidd oda a fiamat!

Hogyha pedig nem akar a leányzó teveled eljőni, ment lészesz az én esketésem alól; csakhogy az én fiamat oda vissza ne vidd.

And if the woman will not be willing to follow thee, then thou shalt be clear from this my oath: only bring not my son thither again.

Dacă femeia nu va vrea să te urmeze, vei fi dezlegat de jurământul acesta pe care te pun să-l faci. Cu niciun chip să nu duci însă acolo pe fiul meu.”

But if the woman is not willing to follow you, then you will be free from this oath of mine; only you must not take my son back there.”

Erre a szolga urának, Ábrahámnak csípője alá tette kezét, és megesküdött neki e dologról.

Veté azért a szolga az ő kezét az ő urának Ábrahámnak tompora alá, és megesküvék néki e dolog felől.

And the servant put his hand under the thigh of Abraham his master, and sware to him concerning that matter.

Robul şi-a pus mâna sub coapsa stăpânului său, Avraam, şi i-a jurat că are să păzească aceste lucruri.

So the servant put his hand under the thigh of Abraham his master and swore to him concerning this matter.

És vett a szolga tíz tevét az ura tevéi közül, és elindult. És urának minden java őrá volt bízva. Fölkelt tehát, és elment Mezopotámiába, Náhór városába.

És vőn a szolga tíz tevét az ő urának tevéi közűl, és elindula; (mert az urának minden gazdagsága az ő kezében vala). Felkele tehát és elméne Mésopotámiába, a Nákhor városába.

And the servant took ten camels of the camels of his master, and departed; for all the goods of his master were in his hand: and he arose, and went to Mesopotamia, unto the city of Nahor.

Robul a luat zece cămile dintre cămilele stăpânului său şi a plecat, având cu el toate lucrurile de preţ ale stăpânului său. S-a sculat şi a plecat în Mesopotamia, în cetatea lui Nahor.

Then the servant took ten of his master’s camels and departed, taking all sorts of choice gifts from his master; and he arose and went to Mesopotamia to the city of Nahor.

És estefelé, amikor a leányok vizet meríteni járnak, megpihentette a tevéket a városon kívül egy kútnál.

And he made his camels to kneel down without the city by a well of water at the time of the evening, even the time that women go out to draw water.

A lăsat cămilele să se odihnească, în genunchi, afară din cetate, lângă o fântână. Era seara, pe vremea când ies femeile să scoată apă.

And he made the camels kneel down outside the city by the well of water at the time of evening, the time when women go out to draw water.

Ekkor ezt mondta: URam, uramnak, Ábrahámnak Istene, hozd elém még ma, akit keresek, és légy kegyelmes az én uram, Ábrahám iránt.

És monda: Uram! én uramnak Ábrahámnak Istene, hozd elém [még] ma, és légy kegyelmes az én uram Ábrahám iránt.

And he said O LORD God of my master Abraham, I pray thee, send me good speed this day, and shew kindness unto my master Abraham.

Şi a zis: „Doamne Dumnezeul stăpânului meu, Avraam! Te rog, dă-mi izbândă astăzi şi îndură-Te de stăpânul meu, Avraam.

And he said, “O LORD, God of my master Abraham, please grant me success today and show steadfast love to my master Abraham.

Íme, én a víz forrása mellé állok, amikor a város lakosainak leányai kijönnek vizet meríteni.

Ímé én a víz forrása mellé állok és e város lakosainak leányai kijőnek vizet meríteni.

Behold, I stand here by the well of water; and the daughters of the men of the city come out to draw water:

Iată, stau lângă izvorul acesta de apă, şi fetele oamenilor din cetate vin să scoată apă.

Behold, I am standing by the spring of water, and the daughters of the men of the city are coming out to draw water.

Legyen azért, hogy amelyik leánynak ezt mondom: „Döntsd meg a korsódat, hogy igyam!”, ő pedig azt fogja mondani: „Igyál, sőt a tevéidet is megitatom”, ő az, akit a te szolgádnak, Izsáknak rendeltél; és erről ismerjem meg, hogy irgalmasságot cselekedtél urammal.

Legyen azért, hogy a mely leánynak ezt mondom: Hajtsd meg a te vedredet, hogy igyam, és az azt mondándja: igyál, sőt a te tevéidet is megitatom: hogy azt rendelted légyen a te szolgádnak Izsáknak, és erről ismerjem meg, hogy irgalmasságot cselekedtél az én urammal.

And let it come to pass, that the damsel to whom I shall say, Let down thy pitcher, I pray thee, that I may drink; and she shall say, Drink, and I will give thy camels drink also: let the same be she that thou hast appointed for thy servant Isaac; and thereby shall I know that thou hast shewed kindness unto my master.

Fă ca fata căreia îi voi zice: „Pleacă-ţi vadra, te rog, ca să beau” şi care va răspunde: „Bea şi am să dau de băut şi cămilelor tale” să fie aceea pe care ai rânduit-o Tu pentru robul Tău, Isaac! Şi prin aceasta voi cunoaşte că Te-ai îndurat de stăpânul meu.”

Let the young woman to whom I shall say, ‘Please let down your jar that I may drink,’ and who shall say, ‘Drink, and I will water your camels’—let her be the one whom you have appointed for your servant Isaac. By this I shall know that you have shown steadfast love to my master.”

Mielőtt befejezte volna a beszédet, íme, korsójával a vállán jött Rebeka, Betúélnak, Milká fiának leánya. Milká pedig Ábrahám testvérének, Náhórnak volt a felesége.

És lőn, minekelőtte elvégezte volna a beszédet, ímé jő vala Rebeka, Bethuélnek leánya, a ki Milkhának, az Ábrahám testvérének Nákhor feleségének vala fia, és pedig vedrével a vállán.

And it came to pass, before he had done speaking, that, behold, Rebekah came out, who was born to Bethuel, son of Milcah, the wife of Nahor, Abraham's brother, with her pitcher upon her shoulder.

Nu sfârşise el încă de vorbit şi a ieşit, cu vadra pe umăr, Rebeca, fata lui Betuel, fiul Milcăi, nevasta lui Nahor, fratele lui Avraam.

Before he had finished speaking, behold, Rebekah, who was born to Bethuel the son of Milcah, the wife of Nahor, Abraham’s brother, came out with her water jar on her shoulder.

A leány pedig fölötte szép ábrázatú volt, hajadon, akit férfi még nem ismert. Aláment a forrásra, megtöltötte a korsóját, és feljött.

A leányzó pedig felette szép ábrázatú vala; szűz, és férfi még nem ismeré őt, és aláméne a forrásra, és megtölté vedrét, és feljöve.

And the damsel was very fair to look upon, a virgin, neither had any man known her: and she went down to the well, and filled her pitcher, and came up.

Fata era foarte frumoasă; era fecioară şi niciun bărbat n-avusese legături cu ea. Ea s-a coborât la izvor, şi-a umplut vadra şi s-a suit iarăşi.

The young woman was very attractive in appearance, a maiden whom no man had known. She went down to the spring and filled her jar and came up.

Akkor a szolga elébe futott, és ezt mondta: Kérlek, adj inni nekem egy kis vizet a korsódból.

Akkor a szolga eleibe futamodék és monda: Kérlek, adj innom nékem egy kevés vizet a te vedredből.

And the servant ran to meet her, and said, Let me, I pray thee, drink a little water of thy pitcher.

Robul a alergat înaintea ei şi a zis: „Dă-mi, te rog, să beau puţină apă din vadra ta.”

Then the servant ran to meet her and said, “Please give me a little water to drink from your jar.”

Az pedig mondta: Igyál, uram! És sietve leeresztette a korsót a kezébe, és inni adott a szolgának.

Az pedig monda: Igyál uram! és sietve leereszté a vedret az ő kezére, és inni ada néki.

And she said, Drink, my lord: and she hasted, and let down her pitcher upon her hand, and gave him drink.

„Bea, domnul meu”, a răspuns ea. Şi s-a grăbit de a plecat vadra pe mână şi i-a dat să bea.

She said, “Drink, my lord.” And she quickly let down her jar upon her hand and gave him a drink.

Miután pedig eleget adott neki inni, ezt mondta: A tevéidnek is merítek, míg eleget nem isznak.

És minekutána eleget adott néki innia, monda: A te tevéidnek is merítek, míg eleget nem isznak.

And when she had done giving him drink, she said, I will draw water for thy camels also, until they have done drinking.

După ce i-a dat şi a băut de s-a săturat, a zis: „Am să scot apă şi pentru cămilele tale, până vor bea şi se vor sătura.”

When she had finished giving him a drink, she said, “I will draw water for your camels also, until they have finished drinking.”

Sietve kiürítette korsóját a vályúba, ismét elfutott a forrásra, és merített az összes tevéjének.

És sietett és kiüríté vedrét a válúba és ismét elfuta a forrásra meríteni, és meríte mind az ő tevéinek.

And she hasted, and emptied her pitcher into the trough, and ran again unto the well to draw water, and drew for all his camels.

So she quickly emptied her jar into the trough and ran again to the well to draw water, and she drew for all his camels.

Az ember pedig álmélkodva nézte, és figyelt, mert tudni szerette volna, vajon szerencséssé teszi-e az ÚR az útját vagy nem.

Az ember pedig álmélkodva néz vala reá, és veszteg hallgat vala, tudni akarván: vajjon szerencséssé teszi-é az Úr az ő útját, vagy nem.

And the man wondering at her held his peace, to wit whether the LORD had made his journey prosperous or not.

Omul o privea cu mirare şi fără să zică nimic, ca să vadă dacă Domnul a făcut să-i izbutească sau nu călătoria.

The man gazed at her in silence to learn whether the LORD had prospered his journey or not.

Amikor a tevék már eleget ittak, elővett az ember egy aranyfüggőt, amelynek a súlya fél sékel, és két karperecet, amelynek a súlya tíz aranysékel volt.

És lőn, mikor a tevék már eleget ittak, elévőn az ember egy aranyfüggőt, a melynek súlya fél siklus, és két karpereczet, a melynek súlya tíz arany.

And it came to pass, as the camels had done drinking, that the man took a golden earring of half a shekel weight, and two bracelets for her hands of ten shekels weight of gold;

When the camels had finished drinking, the man took a gold ring weighing a half shekel, and two bracelets for her arms weighing ten gold shekels,

És azt kérdezte: Kinek a leánya vagy? Kérlek, mondd meg nekem: van-e atyád házában hely nekünk, ahol megalhatunk?

És monda: Kinek a leánya [vagy] te? kérlek mondd meg nékem: van-é a te atyádnak házában hálásra való helyünk?

And said, Whose daughter art thou? tell me, I pray thee: is there room in thy father's house for us to lodge in?

Şi a zis: „A cui fată eşti? Spune-mi, te rog. Este loc pentru noi în casa tatălui tău ca să rămânem peste noapte?”

and said, “Please tell me whose daughter you are. Is there room in your father’s house for us to spend the night?”

Ő pedig ezt felelte: Betúél leánya vagyok, Milká fiáé, akit ő Náhórnak szült.

Az pedig felele néki: Bethuél leánya vagyok a Milkha fiáé, a kit ő Nákhornak szűlt.

And she said unto him, I am the daughter of Bethuel the son of Milcah, which she bare unto Nahor.

Ea a răspuns: „Eu sunt fata lui Betuel, fiul Milcăi şi al lui Nahor.”

She said to him, “I am the daughter of Bethuel the son of Milcah, whom she bore to Nahor.”

Azt is mondta még: Van nálunk szalma is, abrak is bőven, és alvóhely is van.

Azt is mondá: Szalma is, abrak is bőven van minálunk, és hálásra való hely is van.

She said moreover unto him, We have both straw and provender enough, and room to lodge in.

Şi i-a zis mai departe: „Avem paie şi nutreţ din belşug şi este şi loc de găzduit peste noapte.”

She added, “We have plenty of both straw and fodder, and room to spend the night.”

Akkor meghajolt az az ember, és imádta az Urat.

And the man bowed down his head, and worshipped the LORD.

Atunci omul a plecat capul şi s-a aruncat cu faţa la pământ înaintea Domnului,

The man bowed his head and worshiped the LORD

Ezt mondta: Áldott az ÚR, az én uramnak, Ábrahámnak Istene, aki nem vonta meg irgalmasságát és hűségét az én uramtól. Mert az ÚR vezérelt engem ezen az utamon az én uram testvéreinek házához.

És monda: Áldott az Úr az én uramnak Ábrahámnak Istene, ki nem vonta meg az ő irgalmasságát és hűségét az én uramtól. Az Úr vezérlett engem ez útamban az én uram atyjafiainak házához.

And he said, Blessed be the LORD God of my master Abraham, who hath not left destitute my master of his mercy and his truth: I being in the way, the LORD led me to the house of my master's brethren.

zicând: „Binecuvântat să fie Domnul Dumnezeul stăpânului meu, Avraam, care n-a părăsit îndurarea şi credincioşia Lui faţă de stăpânul meu! Domnul m-a îndreptat în casa fraţilor stăpânului meu.”

and said, “Blessed be the LORD, the God of my master Abraham, who has not forsaken his steadfast love and his faithfulness toward my master. As for me, the LORD has led me in the way to the house of my master’s kinsmen.”

Közben elfutott a leányzó, és elbeszélte anyja házában, ami történt.

And the damsel ran, and told them of her mother's house these things.

And Rebekah had a brother, and his name was Laban: and Laban ran out unto the man, unto the well.

Rebekah had a brother whose name was Laban. Laban ran out toward the man, to the spring.

Amikor látta a függőt és a pereceket a húga karjain, és hallotta húgának, Rebekának beszédét, aki elmondta: „Így és így szólt hozzám az a férfi”, akkor kiment a férfiúhoz, aki ott állt még a tevék mellett a forrásnál,

And it came to pass, when he saw the earring and bracelets upon his sister's hands, and when he heard the words of Rebekah his sister, saying, Thus spake the man unto me; that he came unto the man; and, behold, he stood by the camels at the well.

As soon as he saw the ring and the bracelets on his sister’s arms, and heard the words of Rebekah his sister, “Thus the man spoke to me,” he went to the man. And behold, he was standing by the camels at the spring.

és megszólította: Jöjj be, Isten áldott embere, mit állsz idekinn?! Hiszen én már elkészítettem a házat, és a tevéknek is van hely.

És monda: Jőjj be Istennek áldott embere; mit állasz ide kinn? holott én elkészítettem a házat, és a tevéknek is van hely.

And he said, Come in, thou blessed of the LORD; wherefore standest thou without? for I have prepared the house, and room for the camels.

şi a zis: „Vino, binecuvântatul Domnului! Pentru ce stai afară? Am pregătit casa şi am pregătit un loc pentru cămile.”

He said, “Come in, O blessed of the LORD. Why do you stand outside? For I have prepared the house and a place for the camels.”

Bement azért a férfi a házba, ő pedig leszerszámozta a tevéket, és szalmát és abrakot adott nekik. Az ő és a vele levő emberek lábának megmosására pedig vizet adott.

Beméne azért a férfiú a házhoz, ő pedig lenyergelé a tevéket, és ada a tevéknek szalmát és abrakot; és vizet az ő lábai megmosására és az emberek lábainak, kik ő vele valának.

And the man came into the house: and he ungirded his camels, and gave straw and provender for the camels, and water to wash his feet, and the men's feet that were with him.

Omul a intrat în casă. Laban a pus să descarce cămilele, a dat paie şi nutreţ cămilelor şi a adus apă pentru spălat picioarele omului aceluia şi ale oamenilor care erau cu el.

So the man came to the house and unharnessed the camels, and gave straw and fodder to the camels, and there was water to wash his feet and the feet of the men who were with him.

És ennivalót tettek elé, de ő azt mondta: Nem eszem, míg elő nem adom mondandómat. Lábán így szólt: Beszélj!

És enni valót tevének eleibe, de ő monda: Nem eszem, míg el nem mondom az én beszédemet. És szóla: Mondd el.

And there was set meat before him to eat: but he said, I will not eat, until I have told mine errand. And he said, Speak on.

Apoi, i-a dat să mănânce. Dar el a zis: „Nu mănânc până nu voi spune ce am de spus.” „Vorbeşte!”, a zis Laban.

Then food was set before him to eat. But he said, “I will not eat until I have said what I have to say.” He said, “Speak on.”

Ő pedig mondani kezdte: Én Ábrahám szolgája vagyok.

Monda azért: Én az Ábrahám szolgája vagyok.

And he said, I am Abraham's servant.

Atunci el a zis: „Eu sunt robul lui Avraam.

So he said, “I am Abraham’s servant.

Az ÚR pedig igen megáldotta uramat, úgyhogy naggyá lett: juhokat, állatokat, ezüstöt, aranyat, szolgákat, szolgálóleányokat, tevéket, szamarakat adott neki.

Az Úr pedig igen megáldotta az én uramat, úgy hogy nagygyá lett: mert adott néki juhokat, barmokat, ezüstöt, aranyat, szolgákat, szolgálóleányokat, tevéket, szamarakat.

And the LORD hath blessed my master greatly; and he is become great: and he hath given him flocks, and herds, and silver, and gold, and menservants, and maidservants, and camels, and asses.

Domnul a umplut de binecuvântări pe stăpânul meu, care a ajuns la mare propăşire. I-a dat oi şi boi, argint şi aur, robi şi roabe, cămile şi măgari.

The LORD has greatly blessed my master, and he has become great. He has given him flocks and herds, silver and gold, male servants and female servants, camels and donkeys.

És Sára, az én uram felesége fiút szült az én uramnak vénségében, és neki adta mindenét, amije van.

És Sára az én uramnak felesége fiat szűlt az én uramnak, az ő vénségében, és annak adá mindenét, a mije van.

And Sarah my master's wife bare a son to my master when she was old: and unto him hath he given all that he hath.

Sara, nevasta stăpânului meu, a născut, la bătrâneţe, un fiu stăpânului meu; şi lui i-a dat el tot ce are.

And Sarah my master’s wife bore a son to my master when she was old, and to him he has given all that he has.

Mikor pedig azt mondtam uramnak: „És ha nem akar eljönni velem az a leány?”,

And I said unto my master, Peradventure the woman will not follow me.

And he said unto me, The LORD, before whom I walk, will send his angel with thee, and prosper thy way; and thou shalt take a wife for my son of my kindred, and of my father's house:

Then shalt thou be clear from this my oath, when thou comest to my kindred; and if they give not thee one, thou shalt be clear from my oath.

And I came this day unto the well, and said, O LORD God of my master Abraham, if now thou do prosper my way which I go:

And she say to me, Both drink thou, and I will also draw for thy camels: let the same be the woman whom the LORD hath appointed out for my master's son.

and who will say to me, “Drink, and I will draw for your camels also,” let her be the woman whom the LORD has appointed for my master’s son.’

Még el sem végeztem szívemben e beszédet, és íme, kijött Rebeka korsójával a vállán, lement a forráshoz, és merített, én pedig megszólítottam: Adj innom, kérlek!

Én még el sem végeztem vala az én szívemben a beszédet, és ímé kijő vala Rebeka, vedrével a vállán, és leméne a forrásra és meríte, én pedig mondék néki: Adj innom kérlek.

And before I had done speaking in mine heart, behold, Rebekah came forth with her pitcher on her shoulder; and she went down unto the well, and drew water: and I said unto her, Let me drink, I pray thee.

And I asked her, and said, Whose daughter art thou? And she said, the daughter of Bethuel, Nahor's son, whom Milcah bare unto him: and I put the earring upon her face, and the bracelets upon her hands.

Then I asked her, ‘Whose daughter are you?’ She said, ‘The daughter of Bethuel, Nahor’s son, whom Milcah bore to him.’ So I put the ring on her nose and the bracelets on her arms.

Aztán meghajoltam, imádtam, és áldottam az URat, az én uramnak, Ábrahámnak Istenét, aki igaz úton vezérelt engem, hogy az én uram testvérének leányát vegyem az ő fiának feleségül.

Meghajtván azért magamat, imádám az Urat, és áldám az Urat, az én uramnak Ábrahámnak Istenét, ki engem igaz úton vezérelt, hogy az én uram atyjafiának leányát vegyem az ő fiának [feleségűl.]

And I bowed down my head, and worshipped the LORD, and blessed the LORD God of my master Abraham, which had led me in the right way to take my master's brother's daughter unto his son.

And now if ye will deal kindly and truly with my master, tell me: and if not, tell me; that I may turn to the right hand, or to the left.

Now then, if you are going to show steadfast love and faithfulness to my master, tell me; and if not, tell me, that I may turn to the right hand or to the left.”

Így felelt Lábán és Betúél: Az ÚRtól van ez a dolog. Nem mondhatunk neked sem jót, sem rosszat.

És felele Lábán és Bethuél, és mondának: Az Úrtól van e dolog: Nem mondhatunk neked sem jót, sem rosszat.

Then Laban and Bethuel answered and said, The thing proceedeth from the LORD: we cannot speak unto thee bad or good.

Then Laban and Bethuel answered and said, “The thing has come from the LORD; we cannot speak to you bad or good.

Behold, Rebekah is before thee, take her, and go, and let her be thy master's son's wife, as the LORD hath spoken.

Behold, Rebekah is before you; take her and go, and let her be the wife of your master’s son, as the LORD has spoken.”

Amint Ábrahám szolgája hallotta azoknak beszédét, földig hajolt az ÚR előtt.

És lőn, a mint hallja vala az Ábrahám szolgája azoknak beszédét, meghajtá magát a földig az Úr előtt.

And it came to pass, that, when Abraham's servant heard their words, he worshipped the LORD, bowing himself to the earth.

Când a auzit robul lui Avraam cuvintele lor, s-a aruncat cu faţa la pământ înaintea Domnului.

When Abraham’s servant heard their words, he bowed himself to the earth before the LORD.

És a szolga ezüstedényeket, aranyedényeket és ruhákat hozott elő, és Rebekának adta azokat: drága ajándékokat adott az ő bátyjának és az ő anyjának is.

And the servant brought forth jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and raiment, and gave them to Rebekah: he gave also to her brother and to her mother precious things.

And they did eat and drink, he and the men that were with him, and tarried all night; and they rose up in the morning, and he said, Send me away unto my master.

And he and the men who were with him ate and drank, and they spent the night there. When they arose in the morning, he said, “Send me away to my master.”

A szolga pedig azt mondta nekik: Ne késleltessetek engem, hiszen az ÚR szerencséssé tette utamat. Bocsássatok el azért engem, hogy uramhoz menjek.

A [szolga pedig] monda nékik: Ne késleljetek meg engem, holott az Úr szerencséssé tette az én útamat; bocsássatok el azért engem, hogy menjek az én uramhoz.

And he said unto them, Hinder me not, seeing the LORD hath prospered my way; send me away that I may go to my master.

El le-a răspuns: „Nu mă opriţi, fiindcă Domnul mi-a dat izbândă în călătoria mea; lăsaţi-mă să plec şi să mă duc la stăpânul meu.”

But he said to them, “Do not delay me, since the LORD has prospered my way. Send me away that I may go to my master.”

Akkor ezt mondták: Hívjuk elő a leányt, és kérdezzük meg őt!

Mondának akkor: Hívjuk elő a leányt, és kérdjük meg őt.

And they said, We will call the damsel, and enquire at her mouth.

They said, “Let us call the young woman and ask her.”

And they blessed Rebekah, and said unto her, Thou art our sister, be thou the mother of thousands of millions, and let thy seed possess the gate of those which hate them.

For she had said unto the servant, What man is this that walketh in the field to meet us? And the servant had said, It is my master: therefore she took a vail, and covered herself.

and said to the servant, “Who is that man, walking in the field to meet us?” The servant said, “It is my master.” So she took her veil and covered herself.

Izsák pedig bevitte Rebekát anyjának, Sárának sátrába, és elvette feleségül. Szerette őt Izsák, és megvigasztalódott anyja halála után.

And Isaac brought her into his mother Sarah's tent, and took Rebekah, and she became his wife; and he loved her: and Isaac was comforted after his mother's death.
