Az éhség pedig elhatalmasodott az országban.

Az éhség pedig elhatalmazott vala az országon.

And the famine was sore in the land.

Foametea bântuia greu în ţară.

Now the famine was severe in the land.

Mikor fogytán volt az eleség, amelyet Egyiptomból hoztak, így szólt hozzájuk az atyjuk: Menjetek el újból, vegyetek nekünk egy kis eleséget.

És lőn mikor fogytán vala az eleség, melyet Égyiptomból hoztak vala, monda nékik az ő atyjok: Menjetek el ismét, vegyetek nékünk egy kevés eleséget.

And it came to pass, when they had eaten up the corn which they had brought out of Egypt, their father said unto them, Go again, buy us a little food.

Când au isprăvit de mâncat grâul pe care-l aduseseră din Egipt, Iacov a zis fiilor săi: „Duceţi-vă iarăşi şi cumpăraţi-ne ceva merinde.”

And when they had eaten the grain that they had brought from Egypt, their father said to them, “Go again, buy us a little food.”

Júda így felelt neki: Erősen fogadkozott az a férfi: Színem elé ne kerüljetek, ha nem lesz veletek a testvéretek!

És felele néki Júda, mondván: Erősen fogadkozék az a férfiú, mondván: Színem elé ne kerűljetek, ha veletek nem lesz a ti atyátokfia.

And Judah spake unto him, saying, The man did solemnly protest unto us, saying, Ye shall not see my face, except your brother be with you.

Iuda i-a răspuns: „Omul acela ne-a spus curat: „Să nu-mi mai vedeţi faţa, dacă fratele vostru nu va fi cu voi.”

But Judah said to him, “The man solemnly warned us, saying, ‘You shall not see my face unless your brother is with you.’

Ha elbocsátod velünk öcsénket, elmegyünk, és veszünk neked eleséget.

Ha azért elbocsátod velünk a mi öcsénket, elmegyünk, és veszünk néked eleséget;

If thou wilt send our brother with us, we will go down and buy thee food:

Dacă vrei deci să trimiţi pe fratele nostru cu noi, ne vom coborî şi-ţi vom cumpăra merinde.

If you will send our brother with us, we will go down and buy you food.

Ha pedig nem bocsátod el, nem megyünk, mert az a férfi megmondta nekünk: Színem elé ne kerüljetek, ha a testvéretek nem lesz veletek!

Ha pedig el nem bocsátod, nem megyünk, mert az a férfiú megmondá nékünk: Színem elé ne kerűljetek, ha a ti atyátokfia veletek nem lesz.

But if thou wilt not send him, we will not go down: for the man said unto us, Ye shall not see my face, except your brother be with you.

Dar dacă nu vrei să-l trimiţi, nu ne vom coborî, căci omul acela ne-a spus: „Să nu-mi mai vedeţi faţa, dacă fratele vostru nu va fi cu voi!”

But if you will not send him, we will not go down, for the man said to us, ‘You shall not see my face, unless your brother is with you.’”

Erre Izráel ezt mondta: Hogy tehettetek ilyen rosszat velem, hogy megmondtátok annak a férfinak, hogy van még egy öcsétek?

És monda Izráel: Miért cselekedtetek gonoszul velem, hogy megmondtátok annak a férfiúnak, hogy még van egy öcsétek?

And Israel said, Wherefore dealt ye so ill with me, as to tell the man whether ye had yet a brother?

Israel a zis atunci: „Pentru ce mi-aţi făcut un astfel de rău şi aţi spus omului aceluia că mai aveţi un frate?”

Israel said, “Why did you treat me so badly as to tell the man that you had another brother?”

Ők így feleltek: Nagyon tudakozódott az a férfi felőlünk és nemzetségünk felől. Megkérdezte: Él-e még az atyátok? Van-e még testvéretek? És mi a kérdései szerint feleltünk neki. Hát tudhattuk-e, hogy azt fogja mondani: Hozzátok ide testvéreteket?

Azok pedig mondának: Nagyon tudakozódék az a férfiú felőlünk és nemzetségünk felől, mondván: Él-é még atyátok? van-é még testvéretek? És mi kérdéseihez képest feleltünk néki. Avagy tudhattuk-é mi, hogy azt mondja: Hozzátok ide a ti atyátokfiát?

And they said, The man asked us straitly of our state, and of our kindred, saying, Is your father yet alive? have ye another brother? and we told him according to the tenor of these words: could we certainly know that he would say, Bring your brother down?

Ei au răspuns: „Omul acela ne-a întrebat despre noi şi familia noastră şi a zis: „Mai trăieşte tatăl vostru? Mai aveţi vreun frate?” Şi noi am răspuns la întrebările acestea. Puteam noi să ştim că are să zică: „Aduceţi pe fratele vostru”?”

They replied, “The man questioned us carefully about ourselves and our kindred, saying, ‘Is your father still alive? Do you have another brother?’ What we told him was in answer to these questions. Could we in any way know that he would say, ‘Bring your brother down’?”

Júda ezt mondta atyjának, Izráelnek: Bocsásd el azt a fiút énvelem. Hadd keljünk útra azonnal, hogy éljünk, és meg ne haljunk, se mi, se te, se gyermekeink.

És monda Júda Izráelnek, az ő atyjának: Bocsásd el azt a fiút én velem, és mi azonnal felkelünk és elmegyünk, hogy éljünk és meg ne haljunk se mi, se te, se a mi gyermekeink.

And Judah said unto Israel his father, Send the lad with me, and we will arise and go; that we may live, and not die, both we, and thou, and also our little ones.

Iuda a zis tatălui său, Israel: „Trimite copilul cu mine, ca să ne sculăm şi să plecăm, şi vom trăi şi nu vom muri, noi, tu şi copiii noştri.

And Judah said to Israel his father, “Send the boy with me, and we will arise and go, that we may live and not die, both we and you and also our little ones.

Én leszek kezes érte, az én kezemből kérd számon. Ha nem hozom vissza, és nem állítom eléd, egész életemben bűnös legyek előtted!

Én leszek kezes érette, az én kezemből kérd elő. Ha vissza nem hozom őt hozzád, és elődbe nem állítom őt, mind éltig bűnös legyek előtted.

I will be surety for him; of my hand shalt thou require him: if I bring him not unto thee, and set him before thee, then let me bear the blame for ever:

Răspund eu pentru el; ai să-l ceri înapoi din mâna mea. Dacă nu-l voi aduce înapoi la tine şi dacă nu-l voi pune înaintea ta, vinovat să fiu faţă de tine pentru totdeauna.

I will be a pledge of his safety. From my hand you shall require him. If I do not bring him back to you and set him before you, then let me bear the blame forever.

Bizony, ha nem késlekedünk, mostanra már kétszer is megjöhettünk volna.

Bizony ha nem késlekedünk vala, ez ideig már kétszer is megjöhettünk volna.

For except we had lingered, surely now we had returned this second time.

Căci dacă n-am mai fi zăbovit, de două ori ne-am fi întors până acum.”

If we had not delayed, we would now have returned twice.”

Erre így szólt nekik Izráel, az atyjuk: Ha csakugyan így kell lennie, akkor ezt tegyétek: vegyetek e föld válogatott gyümölcseiből az edényeitekbe, és vigyetek ajándékot annak a férfinak: egy kis balzsamot, egy kis mézet, fűszert, mirhát, diót, mandulát.

És monda nékik Izráel az ő atyjok: Ha csakugyan így [kell lenni,] akkor ezt cselekedjétek: Vegyetek e föld válogatott gyümölcseiből a ti edényeitekbe, és vigyetek ajándékot annak a férfiúnak; egy kevés balzsamot, egy kevés mézet, fűszerszámokat, mirhát, diót, mandulát.

And their father Israel said unto them, If it must be so now, do this; take of the best fruits in the land in your vessels, and carry down the man a present, a little balm, and a little honey, spices, and myrrh, nuts, and almonds:

Israel, tatăl lor, le-a zis: „Fiindcă trebuie, faceţi aşa. Luaţi-vă în saci ceva din cele mai bune roade ale ţării, ca să duceţi un dar omului aceluia, şi anume: puţin leac alinător şi puţină miere, mirodenii, smirnă, fistic şi migdale.

Then their father Israel said to them, “If it must be so, then do this: take some of the choice fruits of the land in your bags, and carry a present down to the man, a little balm and a little honey, gum, myrrh, pistachio nuts, and almonds.

Pénzt pedig kétszer annyit vigyetek magatokkal, sőt azt a pénzt is vigyétek vissza, amelyet visszahoztatok a zsákjaitok szájában. Talán tévedés történt.

Pénzt pedig két annyit vigyetek magatokkal, sőt a mely pénzt meghoztatok a ti zsákjaitok szájában, azt is vigyétek vissza magatokkal, talán tévedés ez.

And take double money in your hand; and the money that was brought again in the mouth of your sacks, carry it again in your hand; peradventure it was an oversight:

Luaţi cu voi argint îndoit şi duceţi înapoi argintul pe care vi-l puseseră la gura sacilor: poate că a fost o greşeală.

Take double the money with you. Carry back with you the money that was returned in the mouth of your sacks. Perhaps it was an oversight.

Az öcséteket is vigyétek, keljetek föl, és menjetek vissza ahhoz a férfihoz.

Öcséteket is vegyétek, keljetek fel és menjetek vissza ahhoz a férfiúhoz.

Take also your brother, and arise, go again unto the man:

Luaţi şi pe fratele vostru, sculaţi-vă şi întoarceţi-vă la omul acela.

Take also your brother, and arise, go again to the man.

A mindenható Isten pedig engedje, hogy kedvet találjatok annál a férfinál, és küldje vissza veletek a másik testvéreteket, Benjámint is. Én pedig, ha megfosztva kell lennem gyermekeimtől, hát legyek megfosztva.

A mindenható Isten pedig engedje, hogy kedvet találjatok annál a férfiúnál, és bocsássa vissza ti veletek a másik atyátokfiát, és Benjámint. Én pedig ha megfosztottnak kell lennem, hadd legyek megfosztva.

And God Almighty give you mercy before the man, that he may send away your other brother, and Benjamin. If I be bereaved of my children, I am bereaved.

Dumnezeul cel Atotputernic să vă facă să căpătaţi trecere înaintea omului aceluia şi să lase să se întoarcă împreună cu voi pe celălalt frate al vostru şi pe Beniamin! Iar eu, dacă trebuie să fiu lipsit de copiii mei, lipsit să fiu!”

May God Almighty grant you mercy before the man, and may he send back your other brother and Benjamin. And as for me, if I am bereaved of my children, I am bereaved.”

Akkor fogták a férfiak azt az ajándékot és Benjámint, és kétszer annyi pénzt vettek a kezükbe, felkeltek, elmentek Egyiptomba, és megálltak József előtt.

Vevék azért a férfiak azt az ajándékot, és vevének kétannyi pénzt az ő kezökbe, és Benjámint, és felkelének és alámenének Égyiptomba, és megállának József előtt.

And the men took that present, and they took double money in their hand and Benjamin; and rose up, and went down to Egypt, and stood before Joseph.

Au luat darul; au luat cu ei argint îndoit, precum şi pe Beniamin; s-au sculat, s-au coborât în Egipt şi s-au înfăţisat înaintea lui Iosif.

So the men took this present, and they took double the money with them, and Benjamin. They arose and went down to Egypt and stood before Joseph.

Amint József meglátta velük Benjámint, így szólt a háza felügyelőjének: Vezesd be azokat az embereket a házba, vágj le egy állatot, és készítsd el, mert ezek az emberek ma délben velem ebédelnek.

A mint meglátá József ő velök Benjámint, monda az ő háza gondviselőjének: Vidd be azokat az embereket a házba, és ölj barmot, s készítsd el, mert velem ebédelnek ez emberek [ma] délben.

And when Joseph saw Benjamin with them, he said to the ruler of his house, Bring these men home, and slay, and make ready; for these men shall dine with me at noon.

Cum a văzut Iosif pe Beniamin cu ei, a zis economului său: „Bagă pe oamenii aceştia în casă, taie vite şi găteşte; căci oamenii aceştia au să mănânce cu mine la amiază.”

When Joseph saw Benjamin with them, he said to the steward of his house, “Bring the men into the house, and slaughter an animal and make ready, for the men are to dine with me at noon.”

Az pedig úgy cselekedett, ahogy József parancsolta, és bevezette őket József házába.

És az a férfiú aképen cselekedék, amint József parancsolta vala, és bevivé az a férfiú azokat az embereket a József házába.

And the man did as Joseph bade; and the man brought the men into Joseph's house.

Omul acela a făcut ce-i poruncise Iosif şi a dus pe oamenii aceia în casa lui Iosif.

The man did as Joseph told him and brought the men to Joseph’s house.

Azok az emberek pedig megijedtek, hogy József házába vezették őket, és így szóltak: A pénz miatt hoztak ide, amely a múltkor visszakerült a zsákjainkba; hogy ránk rohanjanak, megtámadjanak, és rabszolgákká tegyenek minket a szamarainkkal együtt.

És megfélemlének azok az emberek, a miért bevivék őket a József házába, és mondának: A pénzért hozattatánk ide be, mely először a mi zsákjainkba tétetett volt, hogy reánk rohanjon, megtámadjon és minket rabszolgákká tegyen a mi szamarainkkal együtt.

And the men were afraid, because they were brought into Joseph's house; and they said, Because of the money that was returned in our sacks at the first time are we brought in; that he may seek occasion against us, and fall upon us, and take us for bondmen, and our asses.

Ei s-au temut când au văzut că-i bagă în casa lui Iosif şi au zis: „Ne bagă înăuntru din pricina argintului pus în sacii noştri data trecută; vor să se năpustească peste noi, ca să ne ia robi şi să pună mâna pe măgarii noştri.”

And the men were afraid because they were brought to Joseph’s house, and they said, “It is because of the money, which was replaced in our sacks the first time, that we are brought in, so that he may assault us and fall upon us to make us servants and seize our donkeys.”

Odaléptek azért József házának felügyelőjéhez, és így szóltak neki a ház ajtajában:

És járulának József házának gondviselőjéhez, és szólának néki a ház ajtajában.

And they came near to the steward of Joseph's house, and they communed with him at the door of the house,

S-au apropiat de economul casei lui Iosif şi au intrat în vorbă cu el la uşa casei;

So they went up to the steward of Joseph’s house and spoke with him at the door of the house,

Kérünk, uram! A múltkor eljöttünk eleséget venni.

És mondának: Kérünk uram! Ennekelőtte alájöttünk vala eleséget venni.

And said, O sir, we came indeed down at the first time to buy food:

şi au zis: „Domnule, noi ne-am mai coborât o dată aici, ca să cumpărăm merinde.

and said, “Oh, my lord, we came down the first time to buy food.

És mikor az éjjeli szállásra értünk, és kibontottuk zsákjainkat: íme, mindegyikünk zsákja szájában ott volt a pénzünk hiánytalanul. Ezt most visszahoztuk.

És lőn mikor éjjeli szállásra jutánk és kioldjuk vala a mi zsákjainkat: ímé mindenikünknek pénze az ő zsákjának szájában vala, tulajdon pénzünk teljes mértéke szerint; és visszahoztuk azt magunkkal.

And it came to pass, when we came to the inn, that we opened our sacks, and, behold, every man's money was in the mouth of his sack, our money in full weight: and we have brought it again in our hand.

Apoi, când am ajuns la locul unde trebuia să rămânem peste noapte, ne-am deschis sacii; şi iată că argintul fiecăruia era la gura sacului său, argintul nostru, după greutatea lui: şi l-am adus înapoi cu noi.

And when we came to the lodging place we opened our sacks, and there was each man’s money in the mouth of his sack, our money in full weight. So we have brought it again with us,

De más pénzt is hoztunk magunkkal eleséget venni. Nem tudjuk, ki tette a pénzünket a zsákjainkba.

And other money have we brought down in our hands to buy food: we cannot tell who put our money in our sacks.

Am adus şi alt argint, ca să cumpărăm merinde. Nu ştim cine a pus argintul în sacii noştri.”

and we have brought other money down with us to buy food. We do not know who put our money in our sacks.”

Ő így szólt: Legyetek békén, ne féljetek. Istenetek, atyátok Istene adta nektek azt a kincset zsákjaitokba. Pénzetek kezemhez jutott. És kihozta hozzájuk Simeont.

És monda: Legyetek békén, ne féljetek; a ti Istentek és a ti atyátok Istene adta néktek azt a kincset zsákjaitokba; pénzetek az én kezemhez jutott. És kihozá hozzájok Simeont.

And he said, Peace be to you, fear not: your God, and the God of your father, hath given you treasure in your sacks: I had your money. And he brought Simeon out unto them.

Economul a răspuns: „Fiţi pe pace! Nu vă temeţi de nimic. Dumnezeul vostru, Dumnezeul tatălui vostru, v-a pus pe ascuns o comoară în saci. Argintul vostru a trecut prin mâinile mele.” Şi le-a adus şi pe Simeon.

He replied, “Peace to you, do not be afraid. Your God and the God of your father has put treasure in your sacks for you. I received your money.” Then he brought Simeon out to them.

Azután bevezette őket József házába, vizet hozatott, megmosták lábukat, és abrakot is adott szamaraiknak.

Bevivé azután a férfiú azokat az embereket a József házába, és vizet hozata, és megmosák lábaikat, és abrakot is ada az ő szamaraiknak.

And the man brought the men into Joseph's house, and gave them water, and they washed their feet; and he gave their asses provender.

Omul acesta i-a băgat în casa lui Iosif; le-a dat apă de şi-au spălat picioarele; a dat şi nutreţ măgarilor lor.

And when the man had brought the men into Joseph’s house and given them water, and they had washed their feet, and when he had given their donkeys fodder,

Ők pedig előkészítették az ajándékot, mielőtt József délben megjött, mert megértették, hogy ott ebédelnek.

Ők pedig elkészíték az ajándékot mire József délben megjöve; mert megértették vala, hogy ott ebédelnek.

And they made ready the present against Joseph came at noon: for they heard that they should eat bread there.

Ei şi-au pregătit darul până la venirea lui Iosif, la amiază; căci aflaseră că au să mănânce la el.

they prepared the present for Joseph’s coming at noon, for they heard that they should eat bread there.

Mikor pedig József hazajött, bevitték neki a házba az ajándékot, amely a kezükben volt és leborultak előtte a földig.

Mikor József haza jöve, bevivék néki az ajándékot, mely kezökben vala, a házba, és leborulának előtte a földig.

And when Joseph came home, they brought him the present which was in their hand into the house, and bowed themselves to him to the earth.

Când a ajuns Iosif acasă, i-au dat darul pe care i-l aduseseră şi s-au aruncat cu faţa la pământ înaintea lui.

When Joseph came home, they brought into the house to him the present that they had with them and bowed down to him to the ground.

Ő pedig kérdezősködött az egészségük felől, majd ezt kérdezte: Egészségben van-e a ti öreg atyátok, akiről beszéltetek nekem? Él-e még?

És kérdezősködék egészségök felől, s monda: Egészségben van-é a ti vén atyátok, a kiről nékem szóltatok? él-é még?

And he asked them of their welfare, and said, Is your father well, the old man of whom ye spake? Is he yet alive?

El i-a întrebat de sănătate; şi a zis: „Bătrânul vostru tată, de care aţi vorbit, este sănătos? Mai trăieşte?”

And he inquired about their welfare and said, “Is your father well, the old man of whom you spoke? Is he still alive?”

Ők pedig elmondták: Még él, és egészségben van a te szolgád, a mi atyánk. Majd meghajoltak és leborultak előtte.

Azok pedig mondának: Egészségben van a te szolgád, a mi atyánk, még él. És meghajták magokat és leborulának.

And they answered, Thy servant our father is in good health, he is yet alive. And they bowed down their heads, and made obeisance.

Ei au răspuns: „Robul tău, tatăl nostru, este sănătos; trăieşte încă.” Şi s-au plecat şi s-au aruncat cu faţa la pământ.

They said, “Your servant our father is well; he is still alive.” And they bowed their heads and prostrated themselves.

Mikor fölemelte szemét, és meglátta testvérét, Benjámint, az anyja fiát, így szólt: Ő a ti legkisebb testvéretek, akiről nekem szóltatok? Majd ezt mondta: Az Isten legyen hozzád kegyelmes, fiam!

És felemelé szemeit és látá Benjámint az ő atyjafiát, az ő anyjának fiát, és monda: Ez-é a ti legkisebbik atyátokfia, a ki felől nékem szóltatok vala? És [ismét] monda: Az Isten légyen hozzád kegyelmes, fiam!

And he lifted up his eyes, and saw his brother Benjamin, his mother's son, and said, Is this your younger brother, of whom ye spake unto me? And he said, God be gracious unto thee, my son.

Iosif a ridicat ochii; şi, aruncând o privire spre fratele său Beniamin, fiul mamei sale, a zis: „Acesta este fratele vostru cel tânăr despre care mi-aţi vorbit?” Şi a adăugat: „Dumnezeu să aibă milă de tine, fiule!”

And he lifted up his eyes and saw his brother Benjamin, his mother’s son, and said, “Is this your youngest brother, of whom you spoke to me? God be gracious to you, my son!”

Akkor elsietett onnan József, mert fellángolt benne a szeretet öccse iránt, és erőt vett rajta a sírás. Bement hát a szobájába, és ott sírt.

Akkor elsiete onnan József, mert felgerjede szíve az ő öcscse iránt, és erőlteti vala a sírás; beméne azért szobájába, és ott síra.

And Joseph made haste; for his bowels did yearn upon his brother: and he sought where to weep; and he entered into his chamber, and wept there.

Iosif a isprăvit repede, căci i se rupea inima pentru fratele său şi simţea nevoia să plângă; a intrat degrabă într-o odaie şi a plâns acolo.

Then Joseph hurried out, for his compassion grew warm for his brother, and he sought a place to weep. And he entered his chamber and wept there.

Azután megmosta az arcát, és kiment. Uralkodott magán, és ezt mondta: Hozzatok ennivalót.

Azután megmosá orczáját, és kiméne, és megtartóztatá magát, és monda: Hozzatok enni valót.

And he washed his face, and went out, and refrained himself, and said, Set on bread.

După ce s-a spălat pe faţă, a ieşit din odaie; şi, silindu-se să se stăpânească, a zis: „Aduceţi de mâncare!”

Then he washed his face and came out. And controlling himself he said, “Serve the food.”

És előhozták külön neki, őnekik is külön, és az egyiptomiaknak is külön, akik vele ettek. Az egyiptomiak ugyanis nem ehettek együtt a héberekkel, mert utálatos az az egyiptomiak előtt.

És elhozák néki külön, azoknak is külön, és az Égyiptombelieknek is, kik vele esznek vala, külön: Mert nem ehettek az Égyiptombeliek együtt a héberekkel, mert utálatos az az Égyiptombeliek előtt.

And they set on for him by himself, and for them by themselves, and for the Egyptians, which did eat with him, by themselves: because the Egyptians might not eat bread with the Hebrews; for that is an abomination unto the Egyptians.

Au adus de mâncare lui Iosif deoparte, şi fraţilor lui deoparte; egiptenilor, care mâncau cu el, le-au adus, de asemenea, mâncare deoparte; căci egiptenii nu puteau să mănânce cu evreii, fiindcă lucrul acesta pentru ei este o urâciune.

They served him by himself, and them by themselves, and the Egyptians who ate with him by themselves, because the Egyptians could not eat with the Hebrews, for that is an abomination to the Egyptians.

Akkor leültek előtte, az elsőszülött az őt illető helyre, majd sorra a többiek, koruk szerint. Az emberek pedig álmélkodva néztek egymásra.

Leűlének azért ő előtte, az elsőszülött az ő elsőszülöttsége szerint, és a fiatalabb az ő fiatalsága szerint. És az emberek álmélkodva nézének egymásra.

And they sat before him, the firstborn according to his birthright, and the youngest according to his youth: and the men marvelled one at another.

Fraţii lui Iosif s-au aşezat la masă în faţa lui: de la întâiul născut, după dreptul lui de întâi născut, şi până la cel mai tânăr, aşezaţi după vârstă; şi se uitau unii la alţii cu mirare.

And they sat before him, the firstborn according to his birthright and the youngest according to his youth. And the men looked at one another in amazement.

Ő pedig mindenkinek adott a saját asztaláról, és Benjámin része ötször nagyobb volt mindnyájuk részénél. És jóllakván megittasodtak.

Ő pedig részt juttata azoknak maga elől és a Benjámin része ötszörte nagyobb vala mindnyájok részénél. És ivának és megittasodának ő nála.
