Történt abban az időben, hogy Júda elment a testvéreitől, és betért egy adullámi férfihoz, akinek Hírá volt a neve.

És lőn abban az időben, hogy Júda elméne az ő atyjafiaitól, és betére egy Adullámbeli férfiúhoz, kinek neve Khira vala.

And it came to pass at that time, that Judah went down from his brethren, and turned in to a certain Adullamite, whose name was Hirah.

În vremea aceea, Iuda a părăsit pe fraţii săi şi a tras la un om din Adulam, numit Hira.

It happened at that time that Judah went down from his brothers and turned aside to a certain Adullamite, whose name was Hirah.

És meglátta ott Júda egy Súa nevű kánaáni férfi leányát, elvette azt, és bement hozzá.

And Judah saw there a daughter of a certain Canaanite, whose name was Shuah; and he took her, and went in unto her.

Acolo, Iuda a văzut pe fata unui Canaanit, numit Şua; a luat-o de nevastă şi s-a culcat cu ea.

There Judah saw the daughter of a certain Canaanite whose name was Shua. He took her and went in to her,

És az fogant a méhében, és fiút szült, és Érnek nevezte.

És az fogada méhében és szűle fiat, és nevezé nevét Hérnek.

And she conceived, and bare a son; and he called his name Er.

Ea a rămas însărcinată şi a născut un fiu, pe care l-a numit Er.

and she conceived and bore a son, and he called his name Er.

És ismét fogant méhében, s fiút szült, és Ónánnak nevezte.

És ismét fogada méhében, s fiat szűle, és nevezé nevét Ónánnak.

And she conceived again, and bare a son; and she called his name Onan.

A rămas iarăşi însărcinată şi a mai născut un fiu, căruia i-a pus numele Onan.

She conceived again and bore a son, and she called his name Onan.

Még egyszer fiút szült, és Sélának nevezte. Amikor őt szülte, Júda Kezibben volt.

Még egyszer szűle fiat, és nevezé nevét Sélának, és mikor azt szűlé, Khezibben vala.

And she yet again conceived, and bare a son; and called his name Shelah: and he was at Chezib, when she bare him.

A mai născut iarăşi un fiu, căruia i-a pus numele Şela; Iuda era la Czib când a născut ea.

Yet again she bore a son, and she called his name Shelah. Judah was in Chezib when she bore him.

Júda feleséget vett elsőszülött fiának, Érnek. A leány neve Támár volt.

És vőn Júda az ő elsőszülött fiának Hérnek feleséget, ennek neve Thámár vala.

And Judah took a wife for Er his firstborn, whose name was Tamar.

Iuda a luat întâiului său născut Er, o nevastă numită Tamar.

And Judah took a wife for Er his firstborn, and her name was Tamar.

De Ér, Júda elsőszülött fia gonosz volt az ÚR szeme előtt, ezért megölte őt az ÚR.

De Hér, Júdának elsőszülött fia gonosz vala az Úr szemei előtt, és megölé őt az Úr.

And Er, Judah's firstborn, was wicked in the sight of the LORD; and the LORD slew him.

Er, întâiul născut al lui Iuda, era rău înaintea Domnului; şi Domnul l-a omorât.

But Er, Judah’s firstborn, was wicked in the sight of the LORD, and the LORD put him to death.

Ekkor azt mondta Júda Ónánnak: Eredj be a bátyád feleségéhez, vedd feleségül, mint sógor, és támassz utódot a bátyádnak.

És monda Júda Ónánnak: Eredj be a te bátyád feleségéhez, és vedd feleségűl mint sógor, és támaszsz magot bátyádnak.

And Judah said unto Onan, Go in unto thy brother's wife, and marry her, and raise up seed to thy brother.

Atunci Iuda a zis lui Onan: „Du-te la nevasta fratelui tău, ia-o de nevastă, ca cumnat, şi ridică sămânţă fratelui tău.”

Then Judah said to Onan, “Go in to your brother’s wife and perform the duty of a brother-in-law to her, and raise up offspring for your brother.”

Ónán pedig tudta, hogy a magzat nem az övé lesz, azért, amikor a bátyja feleségéhez bement, a földre vesztegette el a magot, hogy a bátyjának ne támasszon utódot.

Ónán pedig tudja vala, hogy a magzat nem lesz az övé, azért valamikor az ő bátyja feleségéhez bemegy vala, földre vesztegeti vala el a [magot,] hogy bátyjának magot ne támaszszon.

And Onan knew that the seed should not be his; and it came to pass, when he went in unto his brother's wife, that he spilled it on the ground, lest that he should give seed to his brother.

Onan, ştiind că sămânţa aceasta n-are să fie a lui, vărsa sămânţa pe pământ ori de câte ori se culca cu nevasta fratelui său, ca să nu dea sămânţă fratelui său.

But Onan knew that the offspring would not be his. So whenever he went in to his brother’s wife he would waste the semen on the ground, so as not to give offspring to his brother.

Az Úr szeme előtt gonoszság volt, amit cselekedett, azért őt is megölte.

És gonoszságnak tetszék az Úr szemei előtt, a mit cselekeszik vala, annakokáért megölé őt is.

And the thing which he did displeased the LORD: wherefore he slew him also.

Ce făcea el n-a plăcut Domnului, care l-a omorât şi pe el.

And what he did was wicked in the sight of the LORD, and he put him to death also.

Ekkor azt mondta Júda Támárnak, a menyének: Maradj özvegyen addig atyád házában, amíg a fiam, Sélá felnövekedik. Mert így gondolkodott: Netán ez is meghal, mint a bátyjai. Elment azért Támár, és atyja házában maradt.

És monda Júda Thámárnak, az ő menyének: Maradj özvegyen addig a te atyád házában, míg az én fiam Séla felnevekedik. Mert így gondolkodik vala: Netalán ez is meghal, mint az ő bátyjai. Elméne azért Thámár, és marada az ő atyja házában.

Then said Judah to Tamar his daughter in law, Remain a widow at thy father's house, till Shelah my son be grown: for he said, Lest peradventure he die also, as his brethren did. And Tamar went and dwelt in her father's house.

Atunci Iuda a zis nurorii sale Tamar: „Rămâi văduvă în casa tatălui tău până va creşte fiul meu Şela.” Zicea aşa ca să nu moară şi Şela ca fraţii lui. Tamar s-a dus şi a locuit în casa tatălui ei.

Then Judah said to Tamar his daughter-in-law, “Remain a widow in your father’s house, till Shelah my son grows up”—for he feared that he would die, like his brothers. So Tamar went and remained in her father’s house.

Sok idő múlva meghalt Súa leánya, Júda felesége. Júda pedig megvigasztalódott, és barátjával, az adullámi Hírával elment a juhai nyíróihoz, Timnába.

Sok idő múlva meghala Súa leánya, a Júda felesége. Júda pedig megvígasztalódék és elméne az ő juhainak nyírőihez, barátjával az Adullámbeli Khirával, Thimnába.

And in process of time the daughter of Shuah Judah's wife died; and Judah was comforted, and went up unto his sheepshearers to Timnath, he and his friend Hirah the Adullamite.

Au trecut multe zile, şi fata lui Şua, nevasta lui Iuda, a murit. După ce au trecut zilele de jale, Iuda s-a suit la Timna, la cei ce-i tundeau oile, el şi prietenul său Hira, adulamitul.

In the course of time the wife of Judah, Shua’s daughter, died. When Judah was comforted, he went up to Timnah to his sheepshearers, he and his friend Hirah the Adullamite.

Hírül adták pedig Támárnak: Íme, apósod Timnába megy a juhait megnyíratni.

Hírűl adák pedig Thámárnak mondván: Ím a te ipad Thimnába megy juhainak nyírésére.

And it was told Tamar, saying, Behold thy father in law goeth up to Timnath to shear his sheep.

Au dat de veste Tamarei despre lucrul acesta şi i-au zis: „Iată că socrul tău se suie la Timna, ca să-şi tundă oile.”

And when Tamar was told, “Your father-in-law is going up to Timnah to shear his sheep,”

Levetette azért magáról az özvegyi ruháját, elfátyolozta és beburkolta magát, és leült Énaim kapujába, amely a Timnába vezető úton van. Mert látta, hogy felnövekedett Sélá, és mégsem adták őt hozzá feleségül.

Leveté azért magáról özvegyi ruháját, elfátyolozá és beburkolá magát, és leűle Enajim kapujába, mely a Thimnába vezető úton van; mert látja vala, hogy felnevekedék Séla, és még sem adák őt annak feleségűl.

And she put her widow's garments off from her, and covered her with a vail, and wrapped herself, and sat in an open place, which is by the way to Timnath; for she saw that Shelah was grown, and she was not given unto him to wife.

Atunci ea şi-a lepădat hainele de văduvă, s-a acoperit cu o maramă, s-a îmbrăcat în alte haine şi a şezut jos la intrarea în Enaim, pe drumul care duce la Timna; căci vedea că Şela se făcuse mare, şi ea nu-i fusese dată de nevastă.

she took off her widow’s garments and covered herself with a veil, wrapping herself up, and sat at the entrance to Enaim, which is on the road to Timnah. For she saw that Shelah was grown up, and she had not been given to him in marriage.

Meglátta pedig őt Júda, és paráznának tartotta, mert befedezte az arcát.

Meglátá pedig őt Júda, és tisztátalan személynek gondolá, mivelhogy befedezte vala orczáját.

When Judah saw her, he thought her to be an harlot; because she had covered her face.

Iuda a văzut-o şi a luat-o drept curvă, pentru că îşi acoperise faţa.

When Judah saw her, he thought she was a prostitute, for she had covered her face.

Hozzá csatlakozott az úton, és ezt mondta: Engedd meg, kérlek, hogy bemenjek hozzád. Mert nem tudta, hogy a menye az. Ő pedig ezt felelte: Mit adsz nekem, ha bejöhetsz hozzám?

És hozzá tére az útra és monda: Engedd meg kérlek, hogy menjek be te hozzád, mert nem tudja vala, hogy az ő menye az. Ez pedig monda: Mit adsz nékem ha bejösz hozzám?

And he turned unto her by the way, and said, Go to, I pray thee, let me come in unto thee; (for he knew not that she was his daughter in law.) And she said, What wilt thou give me, that thou mayest come in unto me?

S-a abătut la ea din drum şi a zis: „Lasă-mă să mă culc cu tine!” Căci n-a cunoscut-o că era nora sa. Ea a zis: „Ce-mi dai ca să te culci cu mine?”

He turned to her at the roadside and said, “Come, let me come in to you,” for he did not know that she was his daughter-in-law. She said, “What will you give me, that you may come in to me?”

Ő így felelt: Küldök neked a nyájamból egy kecskegidát. Erre a nő azt kérdezte: Adsz-e zálogot, amíg megküldöd?

És felele: Küldök néked az én nyájamból egy kecskefiat. És az monda: Adsz-é zálogot, míg megküldöd?

And he said, I will send thee a kid from the flock. And she said, Wilt thou give me a pledge, till thou send it?

El a răspuns: „Am să-ţi trimit un ied din turma mea.” Ea a zis: „Îmi dai un zălog până îl vei trimite?”

He answered, “I will send you a young goat from the flock.” And she said, “If you give me a pledge, until you send it—”

Mire Júda így szólt: Micsoda zálogot adjak neked? Ő ezt mondta: Gyűrűdet, gyűrűd zsinórját és botodat, amely a kezedben van. Odaadta azért neki, és bement hozzá, és teherbe ejtette.

És monda: Micsoda zálogot adjak néked? És monda: Gyűrűdet, gyűrűd zsinórját és pálczádat, mely kezedben van. Oda adá azért néki, és beméne hozzá, és teherbe ejté.

And he said, What pledge shall I give thee? And she said, Thy signet, and thy bracelets, and thy staff that is in thine hand. And he gave it her, and came in unto her, and she conceived by him.

El a răspuns: „Ce zălog să-ţi dau?” Ea a zis: „Inelul tău, lanţul tău şi toiagul pe care-l ai în mână.” El i le-a dat. Apoi s-a culcat cu ea; şi ea a rămas însărcinată de la el.

He said, “What pledge shall I give you?” She replied, “Your signet and your cord and your staff that is in your hand.” So he gave them to her and went in to her, and she conceived by him.

Azután fölkelt Támár, és elment, levetette magáról a fátylat, és fölvette özvegyi ruháját.

Azután felkele és elméne, és leveté magáról a fátyolt; és felvevé az ő özvegyi ruháját.

And she arose, and went away, and laid by her vail from her, and put on the garments of her widowhood.

Ea s-a sculat şi a plecat; şi-a scos marama şi s-a îmbrăcat iarăşi în hainele de văduvă.

Then she arose and went away, and taking off her veil she put on the garments of her widowhood.

Júda megküldte a kecskegidát adullámi barátja által, hogy visszavegye a zálogot az asszonytól, de nem találta őt.

És megküldé Júda a kecskefiat az ő Adullámbeli barátjától, hogy visszavegye a zálogot az asszonytól, de nem találá azt.

And Judah sent the kid by the hand of his friend the Adullamite, to receive his pledge from the woman's hand: but he found her not.

Iuda a trimis iedul, prin prietenul său adulamitul, ca să scoată zălogul din mâinile femeii. Dar acesta n-a găsit-o.

When Judah sent the young goat by his friend the Adullamite to take back the pledge from the woman’s hand, he did not find her.

Akkor megkérdezte a helység férfiait: Hol van az a parázna nő, aki Énaim mellett az útfélen volt? Ők azt válaszolták: Nem volt erre parázna nő.

És megkérdé a helység férfiait, mondván: Hol van az a [felavatott] parázna []nő, a ki Enajim mellett az útfélen vala? És azok mondának: Nem volt erre [felavatott] parázna nő.

Then he asked the men of that place, saying, Where is the harlot, that was openly by the way side? And they said, There was no harlot in this place.

A întrebat pe oamenii locului şi a zis: „Unde este curva aceea care stătea aici la Enaim, pe drum?” Ei au răspuns: „N-a fost nicio curvă aici.”

And he asked the men of the place, “Where is the cult prostitute who was at Enaim at the roadside?” And they said, “No cult prostitute has been here.”

Visszatért tehát Júdához, és ezt mondta: Nem találtam meg őt, a helység lakosai is azt mondták, hogy nem volt erre parázna nő.

Visszatére tehát Júdához, és monda: Nem találám azt meg, a helység lakosai is azt mondák: Nem volt erre [felavatott] parázna nő.

And he returned to Judah, and said, I cannot find her; and also the men of the place said, that there was no harlot in this place.

Adulamitul s-a întors la Iuda şi i-a spus: „N-am găsit-o; şi chiar oamenii de acolo au zis: „N-a fost nicio curvă aici.”

So he returned to Judah and said, “I have not found her. Also, the men of the place said, ‘No cult prostitute has been here.’”

Erre azt mondta Júda: Tartsa meg magának a zálogot, hogy csúffá ne legyünk. Íme, én megküldtem a kecskegidát, te pedig nem találtad meg őt.

És monda Júda: Tartsa magának, hogy csúffá ne legyünk; ímé én megküldöttem volt ezt a kecskefiat, te pedig nem találtad meg őt.

And Judah said, Let her take it to her, lest we be shamed: behold, I sent this kid, and thou hast not found her.

Iuda a zis: „Ţină ce a luat, numai să nu ne facem de râs. Iată, am trimis iedul acesta şi n-ai găsit-o.”

And Judah replied, “Let her keep the things as her own, or we shall be laughed at. You see, I sent this young goat, and you did not find her.”

Mintegy három hónap múlva jelentették Júdának: Támár, a menyed paráználkodott, és íme, várandós is a paráznaság miatt. Erre ezt mondta Júda: Vigyétek ki őt, és égettessék meg!

És lőn mintegy három hónap múlva, jelenték Júdának, mondván: Thámár a te menyed paráználkodott, és ímé terhes is a paráznaság miatt. És monda Júda: Vigyétek ki őt, és égettessék meg.

And it came to pass about three months after, that it was told Judah, saying, Tamar thy daughter in law hath played the harlot; and also, behold, she is with child by whoredom. And Judah said, Bring her forth, and let her be burnt.

Cam după trei luni, au venit şi au spus lui Iuda: „Tamar, nora ta, a curvit şi a rămas chiar însărcinată în urma curvirii ei.” Şi Iuda a zis: „Scoateţi-o afară, ca să fie arsă.”

About three months later Judah was told, “Tamar your daughter-in-law has been immoral. Moreover, she is pregnant by immorality.” And Judah said, “Bring her out, and let her be burned.”

Már vitték kifelé, mikor üzenetet küldött apósához: Attól a férfitól vagyok várandós, akiéi ezek a holmik. Ezt mondta: Nézd meg, jól, kérlek, kié ez a gyűrű, ez a zsinór és ez a pálca.

Mikor pedig kivitetnék, elkülde az ő ipához, mondván: Attól a férfiútól vagyok terhes, a kiéi ezek. És mondá: Ismerd meg, kérlek, kié e gyűrű, e zsinór, és e pálcza.

When she was brought forth, she sent to her father in law, saying, By the man, whose these are, am I with child: and she said, Discern, I pray thee, whose are these, the signet, and bracelets, and staff.

După ce au scos-o afară, ea a trimis să spună socrului său: „De la omul acela, ale cui sunt lucrurile acestea, am rămas eu însărcinată; vezi, te rog, al cui este inelul acesta, lanţurile acestea şi toiagul acesta.”

As she was being brought out, she sent word to her father-in-law, “By the man to whom these belong, I am pregnant.” And she said, “Please identify whose these are, the signet and the cord and the staff.”

És megismerte Júda, és ezt mondta: Igazabb ő nálam, mert bizony, nem adtam őt fiamhoz, Sélához. De nem hált vele többet Júda.

És megismeré Júda és monda: Igazabb ő nálamnál, mert bizony nem adám őt az én fiamnak Sélának; de nem ismeré őt [Júda] többé.

And Judah acknowledged them, and said, She hath been more righteous than I; because that I gave her not to Shelah my son. And he knew her again no more.

Iuda le-a cunoscut şi a zis: „Ea este mai puţin vinovată decât mine, fiindcă n-am dat-o de nevastă fiului meu Şela.” Şi nu s-a mai împreunat cu ea de atunci.

Then Judah identified them and said, “She is more righteous than I, since I did not give her to my son Shelah.” And he did not know her again.

Amikor elérkezett a szülésének az ideje, íme, ikrek voltak méhében.

És lőn az ő szűlésének idején, ímé kettősök valának az ő méhében.

And it came to pass in the time of her travail, that, behold, twins were in her womb.

Când i-a venit vremea să nască, iată că în pântecele ei erau doi gemeni.

When the time of her labor came, there were twins in her womb.

Szülés közben az egyik kinyújtotta a kezét. A bába fogta, és vörös fonalat kötött rá, s azt mondta: Ez jött ki először.

És lőn, hogy szűlése közben az egyik kinyújtá kezét, és fogá a bába és veres fonalat köte reá, mondván: Ez jött ki először.

And it came to pass, when she travailed, that the one put out his hand: and the midwife took and bound upon his hand a scarlet thread, saying, This came out first.

Şi în timpul naşterii, unul a scos mâna înainte; moaşa i-a apucat mâna şi a legat-o cu un fir roşu, zicând: „Acesta a ieşit cel dintâi.”

And when she was in labor, one put out a hand, and the midwife took and tied a scarlet thread on his hand, saying, “This one came out first.”

De amikor visszahúzta a kezét, mégis a testvére jött ki. És azt mondta a bába: Hogyan törtél magadnak rést? Azért nevezte Pérecnek.

De lőn, hogy a mikor visszavoná kezét, ímé az ő testvére jöve ki. És mondá a [bába:] Hogy törtél te magadnak rést? Azért nevezé nevét Pérecznek.

And it came to pass, as he drew back his hand, that, behold, his brother came out: and she said, How hast thou broken forth? this breach be upon thee: therefore his name was called Pharez.

Dar el a tras mâna înapoi şi a ieşit fratele său. Atunci moaşa a zis: „Ce spărtură ai făcut!” De aceea i-a pus numele Pereţ.

But as he drew back his hand, behold, his brother came out. And she said, “What a breach you have made for yourself!” Therefore his name was called Perez.

És utána kijött a testvére, akinek a vörös fonál volt a kezén. Őt Zerahnak nevezte el.

És utána kijöve az ő testvére kinek veres fonál vala kezén; és nevezé nevét Zerákhnak.

And afterward came out his brother, that had the scarlet thread upon his hand: and his name was called Zarah.

În urmă a ieşit fratele lui, care avea firul roşu la mână; de aceea i-au pus numele Zerah.

Afterward his brother came out with the scarlet thread on his hand, and his name was called Zerah.
