And the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech.

Mikor azután kelet felől elindultak, Sineár földjén egy síkságot találtak, és ott letelepedtek.

És lőn mikor kelet felől elindultak vala, Sineár földén egy síkságot találának és ott letelepedének.

And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar; and they dwelt there.

Pornind ei înspre răsărit, au dat peste o câmpie în ţara Şinear; şi au descălecat acolo.

And as people migrated from the east, they found a plain in the land of Shinar and settled there.

Azt mondták egymásnak: Gyertek, vessünk téglát, és égessük jól ki! A tégla lett nekik kő gyanánt, a szurok pedig habarcs gyanánt.

És mondának egymásnak: Jertek, vessünk téglát és égessük ki jól; és lőn nékik a tégla kő gyanánt, a szurok pedig ragasztó gyanánt.

And they said one to another, Go to, let us make brick, and burn them thoroughly. And they had brick for stone, and slime had they for morter.

Şi au zis unul către altul: „Haidem! să facem cărămizi şi să le ardem bine în foc.” Şi cărămida le-a ţinut loc de piatră, iar smoala le-a ţinut loc de var.

And they said to one another, “Come, let us make bricks, and burn them thoroughly.” And they had brick for stone, and bitumen for mortar.

Ezt mondták: Gyertek, építsünk magunknak várost és tornyot, melynek teteje az eget érje, és szerezzünk magunknak nevet, hogy el ne széledjünk az egész föld színén!

És mondának: Jertek, építsünk magunknak várost és tornyot, melynek teteje az eget érje, és szerezzünk magunknak nevet, hogy el ne széledjünk az egész földnek színén.

And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.

Şi au mai zis: „Haidem! să ne zidim o cetate şi un turn al cărui vârf să atingă cerul şi să ne facem un nume, ca să nu fim împrăştiaţi pe toată faţa pământului!”

Then they said, “Come, let us build ourselves a city and a tower with its top in the heavens, and let us make a name for ourselves, lest we be dispersed over the face of the whole earth.”

Az ÚR pedig leszállt, hogy lássa a várost és a tornyot, melyet az emberek fiai építettek.

Az Úr pedig leszálla, hogy lássa a várost és a tornyot, melyet építenek vala az emberek fiai.

And the LORD came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded.

Domnul S-a coborât să vadă cetatea şi turnul pe care-l zideau fiii oamenilor.

And the LORD came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of man had built.

Ezt mondta az ÚR: Íme, e nép egy, és az egésznek egy a nyelve, de munkájának ez csak a kezdete. Bizony semmi sem gátolja, hogy véghezvigyenek mindent, amit elgondolnak magukban.

És monda az Úr: Ímé e nép egy, s az egésznek egy a nyelve, és munkájának ez a kezdete; és bizony semmi sem gátolja, hogy véghez ne vigyenek mindent, a mit elgondolnak magukban.

And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.

Şi Domnul a zis: „Iată, ei sunt un singur popor şi toţi au aceeaşi limbă; şi iată de ce s-au apucat; acum nimic nu i-ar împiedica să facă tot ce şi-au pus în gând.

And the LORD said, “Behold, they are one people, and they have all one language, and this is only the beginning of what they will do. And nothing that they propose to do will now be impossible for them.

Nosza, szálljunk alá, és zavarjuk ott össze nyelvüket, hogy ne értsék meg egymás beszédét!

Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech.

Haidem! să Ne coborâm şi să le încurcăm acolo limba, ca să nu-şi mai înţeleagă vorba unii altora!”

Come, let us go down and there confuse their language, so that they may not understand one another’s speech.”

Így szélesztette szét őket onnan az ÚR az egész föld színére, és abbahagyták a város építését.

És elszéleszté őket onnan az Úr az egész földnek színére; és megszűnének építeni a várost.

So the LORD scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city.

Şi Domnul i-a împrăştiat de acolo pe toată faţa pământului; aşa că au încetat să zidească cetatea.

So the LORD dispersed them from there over the face of all the earth, and they left off building the city.

Azért nevezték azt Bábelnak, mert ott zavarta össze az ÚR az egész föld nyelvét, és onnan szélesztette szét őket az egész föld színére.

Ezért nevezék annak nevét Bábelnek; mert ott zavará össze az Úr az egész föld nyelvét, és onnan széleszté el őket az Úr az egész földnek színére.

Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the LORD did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the LORD scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth.

De aceea cetatea a fost numită Babel, căci acolo a încurcat Domnul limba întregului pământ, şi de acolo i-a împrăştiat Domnul pe toată faţa pământului.

Therefore its name was called Babel, because there the LORD confused the language of all the earth. And from there the LORD dispersed them over the face of all the earth.

Ez Sém nemzetsége: Sém százesztendős korában nemzette Arpaksadot, két évvel az özönvíz után.

Ez a Sém nemzetsége: Sém száz esztendős korában nemzé Arpaksádot, két esztendővel az özönvíz után.

These are the generations of Shem: Shem was an hundred years old, and begat Arphaxad two years after the flood:

Iată spiţa neamului lui Sem: La vârsta de o sută de ani, Sem a născut pe Arpacşad, la doi ani după potop.

These are the generations of Shem. When Shem was 100 years old, he fathered Arpachshad two years after the flood.

And Shem lived after he begat Arphaxad five hundred years, and begat sons and daughters.

După naşterea lui Arpacşad, Sem a trăit cinci sute de ani; şi a născut fii şi fiice.

And Shem lived after he fathered Arpachshad 500 years and had other sons and daughters.

Arpaksad pedig harmincöt esztendős volt, amikor Selahot nemzette.

Arpaksád pedig harminczöt esztendős vala, és nemzé Séláht.

And Arphaxad lived five and thirty years, and begat Salah:

La vârsta de treizeci şi cinci de ani, Arpacşad a născut pe Şelah.

When Arpachshad had lived 35 years, he fathered Shelah.

Arpaksad, miután Selahot nemzette, négyszázhárom esztendeig élt, és fiakat és leányokat nemzett.

És éle Arpaksád, minekutánna nemzette Séláht, négyszáz három esztendeig, és nemze fiakat és leányokat.

And Arphaxad lived after he begat Salah four hundred and three years, and begat sons and daughters.

După naşterea lui Şelah, Arpacşad a mai trăit patru sute trei ani; şi a născut fii şi fiice.

And Arpachshad lived after he fathered Shelah 403 years and had other sons and daughters.

Selah pedig harmincesztendős volt, amikor Hébert nemzette.

Séláh pedig harmincz esztendős vala, és nemzé Hébert.

And Salah lived thirty years, and begat Eber:

La vârsta de treizeci de ani, Şelah a născut pe Eber.

When Shelah had lived 30 years, he fathered Eber.

Selah, miután Hébert nemzette, négyszázhárom esztendeig élt, és fiakat és leányokat nemzett.

És éle Séláh, minekutánna nemzé Hébert, négyszáz három esztendeig, és nemze fiakat és leányokat.

And Salah lived after he begat Eber four hundred and three years, and begat sons and daughters.

După naşterea lui Eber, Şelah a mai trăit patru sute trei ani; şi a născut fii şi fiice.

And Shelah lived after he fathered Eber 403 years and had other sons and daughters.

Héber pedig harmincnégy esztendős volt, amikor Peleget nemzette.

And Eber lived four and thirty years, and begat Peleg:

La vârsta de treizeci şi patru de ani, Eber a născut pe Peleg.

When Eber had lived 34 years, he fathered Peleg.

And Eber lived after he begat Peleg four hundred and thirty years, and begat sons and daughters.

And Eber lived after he fathered Peleg 430 years and had other sons and daughters.

And Peleg lived thirty years, and begat Reu:

La vârsta de treizeci de ani, Peleg a născut pe Reu.

When Peleg had lived 30 years, he fathered Reu.

And Peleg lived after he begat Reu two hundred and nine years, and begat sons and daughters.

După naşterea lui Reu, Peleg a mai trăit două sute nouă ani; şi a născut fii şi fiice.

And Peleg lived after he fathered Reu 209 years and had other sons and daughters.

Réu pedig harminczkét esztendős vala, és nemzé Sérugot.

And Reu lived two and thirty years, and begat Serug:

La vârsta de treizeci şi doi de ani, Reu a născut pe Serug.

When Reu had lived 32 years, he fathered Serug.

És éle Réu, minekutánna nemzé Sérugot, kétszáz hét esztendeig és nemze fiakat és leányokat.

And Reu lived after he begat Serug two hundred and seven years, and begat sons and daughters.

După naşterea lui Serug, Reu a mai trăit două sute şapte ani; şi a născut fii şi fiice.

And Reu lived after he fathered Serug 207 years and had other sons and daughters.

And Serug lived after he begat Nahor two hundred years, and begat sons and daughters.

And Serug lived after he fathered Nahor 200 years and had other sons and daughters.

Náhór pedig huszonkilenc esztendős volt, amikor Tárét nemzette.

Nákhor pedig huszonkilencz esztendős vala, és nemzé Thárét.

And Nahor lived nine and twenty years, and begat Terah:

La vârsta de douăzeci şi nouă de ani, Nahor a născut pe Terah.

When Nahor had lived 29 years, he fathered Terah.

Náhór, miután Tárét nemzette, száztizenkilenc esztendeig élt, és fiakat és leányokat nemzett.

És éle Nákhor, minekutánna nemzé Thárét, száz tizenkilencz esztendeig, és nemze fiakat és leányokat.

And Nahor lived after he begat Terah an hundred and nineteen years, and begat sons and daughters.

După naşterea lui Terah, Nahor a mai trăit o sută nouăsprezece ani; şi a născut fii şi fiice.

And Nahor lived after he fathered Terah 119 years and had other sons and daughters.

Táré pedig hetvenesztendős volt, és nemzette Abrámot, Náhórt és Háránt.

Tháré pedig hetven esztendős vala, és nemzé Ábrámot, Nákhort, Háránt.

And Terah lived seventy years, and begat Abram, Nahor, and Haran.

La vârsta de şaptezeci de ani, Terah a născut pe Avram, pe Nahor şi pe Haran.

When Terah had lived 70 years, he fathered Abram, Nahor, and Haran.

Ez Táré nemzetsége: Táré Abrámot, Náhórt és Háránt nemzette. Hárán pedig Lótot nemzette.

Ez a Tháré nemzetsége: Tháré nemzé Ábrámot, Nákhort és Háránt. Hárán pedig nemzé Lótot.

Now these are the generations of Terah: Terah begat Abram, Nahor, and Haran; and Haran begat Lot.

Iată spiţa neamului lui Terah: Terah a născut pe Avram, pe Nahor şi pe Haran. – Haran a născut pe Lot.

Now these are the generations of Terah. Terah fathered Abram, Nahor, and Haran; and Haran fathered Lot.

Hárán pedig meghalt apja, Táré szeme előtt, szülőföldjén, Úr-Kaszdimban.

Meghala pedig Hárán, az ő atyjának Thárénak szemei előtt, az ő születésének földjén, Úr-Kaszdimban.

And Haran died before his father Terah in the land of his nativity, in Ur of the Chaldees.

Şi Haran a murit în faţa tatălui său, Terah, în ţara în care se născuse, în Ur, în Haldeea. –

Haran died in the presence of his father Terah in the land of his kindred, in Ur of the Chaldeans.

Abrám és Náhór pedig feleséget vettek maguknak. Abrám feleségének a neve Száraj volt, Náhór feleségének pedig Milká; ő Háránnak, Milká apjának és Jiszká apjának leánya.

Ábrám pedig és Nákhor vőnek magoknak feleséget: az Ábrám feleségének neve Szárai; a Nákhor feleségének neve Milkhah, Háránnak Milkhah atyjának és Jiszkáh atyjának leánya.

And Abram and Nahor took them wives: the name of Abram's wife was Sarai; and the name of Nahor's wife, Milcah, the daughter of Haran, the father of Milcah, and the father of Iscah.

Avram şi Nahor şi-au luat neveste. Numele nevestei lui Avram era Sarai, şi numele nevestei lui Nahor era Milca, fiica lui Haran, tatăl Milcăi şi Iscăi.

And Abram and Nahor took wives. The name of Abram’s wife was Sarai, and the name of Nahor’s wife, Milcah, the daughter of Haran the father of Milcah and Iscah.

Száraj pedig meddő volt, nem volt gyermeke.

Szárai pedig magtalan vala; nem vala néki gyermeke.

But Sarai was barren; she had no child.

Sarai era stearpă: n-avea copii deloc.

Now Sarai was barren; she had no child.

És fogta Táré Abrámot, a fiát és Lótot, Hárán fiát, az unokáját és Szárajt, a menyét, Abrámnak, az ő fiának feleségét, és elindultak együtt Úr-Kaszdimból, hogy Kánaán földjére menjenek. Eljutottak Háránig, és ott letelepedtek.

És felvevé Tháré Ábrámot az ő fiát, és Lótot, Háránnak fiát, az ő unokáját, és Szárait, az ő menyét, Ábrámnak az ő fiának feleségét, és kiindulának együtt Úr-Kaszdimból, hogy Kanaán földére menjenek. És eljutának Háránig, és ott letelepedének.

And Terah took Abram his son, and Lot the son of Haran his son's son, and Sarai his daughter in law, his son Abram's wife; and they went forth with them from Ur of the Chaldees, to go into the land of Canaan; and they came unto Haran, and dwelt there.

Terah a luat pe fiul său, Avram, şi pe Lot, fiul lui Haran, fiul fiului său, şi pe Sarai, nora sa, nevasta fiului său, Avram. Au ieşit împreună din Ur, din Haldeea, ca să meargă în ţara Canaan. Au venit până la Haran şi s-au aşezat acolo.

Terah took Abram his son and Lot the son of Haran, his grandson, and Sarai his daughter-in-law, his son Abram’s wife, and they went forth together from Ur of the Chaldeans to go into the land of Canaan, but when they came to Haran, they settled there.

Táré pedig kétszázöt esztendős volt, amikor meghalt Háránban.

Vala pedig Tháré kétszáz öt esztendős, és meghala Tháré Háránban.

And the days of Terah were two hundred and five years: and Terah died in Haran.

Zilele lui Terah au fost de două sute cinci ani; şi Terah a murit în Haran.

The days of Terah were 205 years, and Terah died in Haran.
