Jákób pedig atyja vándorlásának földjén, Kánaán földjén lakott.

Jákób pedig lakozék az ő atyja bujdosásának földén, Kanaán földén.

And Jacob dwelt in the land wherein his father was a stranger, in the land of Canaan.

Iacov a locuit în ţara Canaan, unde locuise ca străin tatăl său.

Jacob lived in the land of his father’s sojournings, in the land of Canaan.

Ez Jákób nemzetségének a története: József tizenhét esztendős korában bátyjaival együtt juhokat őrzött, bojtár volt Bilhának és Zilpának, atyja feleségeinek fiai mellett. És József rossz híreket vitt felőlük atyjuknak.

Ezek a Jákób nemzetségének dolgai: József tizenhét esztendős korában az ő bátyjaival együtt juhokat őriz vala, bojtár vala Bilhának és Zilpának az ő atyja feleségeinek fiai mellett, és József rossz híreket hord vala felőlük az ő atyjuknak.

These are the generations of Jacob. Joseph, being seventeen years old, was feeding the flock with his brethren; and the lad was with the sons of Bilhah, and with the sons of Zilpah, his father's wives: and Joseph brought unto his father their evil report.

Iată istoria lui Iacov: Iosif, la vârsta de şaptesprezece ani, păştea oile cu fraţii lui; băiatul acesta era cu fiii Bilhei şi cu fiii Zilpei, nevestele tatălui său. Şi Iosif spunea tatălui lor vorbele lor cele rele.

These are the generations of Jacob. Joseph, being seventeen years old, was pasturing the flock with his brothers. He was a boy with the sons of Bilhah and Zilpah, his father’s wives. And Joseph brought a bad report of them to their father.

Now Israel loved Joseph more than all his children, because he was the son of his old age: and he made him a coat of many colours.

Israel iubea pe Iosif mai mult decât pe toţi ceilalţi fii ai săi, pentru că îl născuse la bătrâneţe; şi i-a făcut o haină pestriţă.

Now Israel loved Joseph more than any other of his sons, because he was the son of his old age. And he made him a robe of many colors.

Mikor bátyjai látták, hogy atyjuk minden testvére közül őt szereti legjobban, meggyűlölték, és egy jó szavuk sem volt hozzá.

Mikor pedig láták az ő bátyjai, hogy atyjuk minden testvére közt őt szereti legjobban, meggyűlölik vala, és jó szót sem bírnak vala hozzá szólani.

And when his brethren saw that their father loved him more than all his brethren, they hated him, and could not speak peaceably unto him.

Fraţii lui au văzut că tatăl lor îl iubea mai mult decât pe ei toţi şi au început să-l urască. Nu puteau să-i spună nicio vorbă prietenească.

But when his brothers saw that their father loved him more than all his brothers, they hated him and could not speak peacefully to him.

És álmot álmodott József, és elbeszélte bátyjainak. Erre azok még inkább gyűlölték őt.

És álmot álmodék József és elbeszélé az ő bátyjainak; és azok annál inkább gyűlölik vala őt.

And Joseph dreamed a dream, and he told it his brethren: and they hated him yet the more.

Iosif a visat un vis şi l-a istorisit fraţilor săi, care l-au urât şi mai mult.

Now Joseph had a dream, and when he told it to his brothers they hated him even more.

Mert ezt mondta nekik: Hallgassátok meg, kérlek, azt az álmot, amelyet álmodtam!

And he said unto them, Hear, I pray you, this dream which I have dreamed:

He said to them, “Hear this dream that I have dreamed:

Íme, kévéket kötöttünk a mezőn, és íme, az én kévém fölkelt és fölállt. A ti kévéitek pedig körülállták, és az én kévém előtt meghajoltak.

Ímé kévéket kötünk vala a mezőben, és ímé az én kévém felkele és felálla; a ti kévéitek pedig körűlállanak, és az én kévém előtt meghajolnak vala.

For, behold, we were binding sheaves in the field, and, lo, my sheaf arose, and also stood upright; and, behold, your sheaves stood round about, and made obeisance to my sheaf.

Noi eram la legatul snopilor în mijlocul câmpului; şi iată că snopul meu s-a ridicat şi a stat în picioare; iar snopii voştri l-au înconjurat şi s-au aruncat cu faţa la pământ înaintea lui.”

Behold, we were binding sheaves in the field, and behold, my sheaf arose and stood upright. And behold, your sheaves gathered around it and bowed down to my sheaf.”

Erre azt mondták neki bátyjai: Talán király akarsz lenni fölöttünk? Vagy uralkodni akarsz rajtunk? S még inkább gyűlölték őt az álmáért és e beszédéért.

És mondának néki az ő bátyjai: Avagy király akarsz-é lenni felettünk? Vagy uralkodni akarsz-é rajtunk? S annál is inkább gyűlölik vala őt álmáért és beszédéért.

And his brethren said to him, Shalt thou indeed reign over us? or shalt thou indeed have dominion over us? And they hated him yet the more for his dreams, and for his words.

Fraţii lui i-au zis: „Doar n-ai să împărăţeşti tu peste noi? Doar n-ai să ne cârmuieşti tu pe noi?” Şi l-au urât şi mai mult, din pricina viselor lui şi din pricina cuvintelor lui.

His brothers said to him, “Are you indeed to reign over us? Or are you indeed to rule over us?” So they hated him even more for his dreams and for his words.

Más álmot is álmodott, és azt is elbeszélte a bátyjainak. Ezt mondta: Íme, megint álmot álmodtam: a nap és a hold és tizenegy csillag meghajolt énelőttem.

Más álmot is álmodék, és elbeszélé azt az ő bátyjainak, mondván: ímé megint álmot álmodtam; ímé a nap és a hold, és tizenegy csillag meghajol vala én előttem.

And he dreamed yet another dream, and told it his brethren, and said, Behold, I have dreamed a dream more; and, behold, the sun and the moon and the eleven stars made obeisance to me.

Iosif a mai visat un alt vis şi l-a istorisit fraţilor săi. El a zis: „Am mai visat un vis! Soarele, luna şi unsprezece stele se aruncau cu faţa la pământ înaintea mea.”

Then he dreamed another dream and told it to his brothers and said, “Behold, I have dreamed another dream. Behold, the sun, the moon, and eleven stars were bowing down to me.”

És elbeszélte ezt atyjának és bátyjainak, de atyja megdorgálta: Milyen álom az, amelyet álmodtál? Vajon elmenjünk-e én és anyád és testvéreid, hogy földig hajoljunk előtted?

S elbeszélé atyjának és bátyjainak, és az ő atyja megdorgálá őt, mondván néki: Micsoda álom az a melyet álmodtál? Avagy elmegyünk-é, én és a te anyád és atyádfiai, hogy meghajtsuk magunkat te előtted a földig?

And he told it to his father, and to his brethren: and his father rebuked him, and said unto him, What is this dream that thou hast dreamed? Shall I and thy mother and thy brethren indeed come to bow down ourselves to thee to the earth?

L-a istorisit tatălui său şi fraţilor săi. Tatăl său l-a mustrat şi i-a zis: „Ce înseamnă visul acesta pe care l-ai visat? Nu cumva vom veni eu, mama ta şi fraţii tăi să ne aruncăm cu faţa la pământ înaintea ta?”

But when he told it to his father and to his brothers, his father rebuked him and said to him, “What is this dream that you have dreamed? Shall I and your mother and your brothers indeed come to bow ourselves to the ground before you?”

Irigykedtek azért reá a bátyjai. Atyja pedig elméjében tartotta ezt a dolgot.

Irígykednek vala azért reá az ő bátyjai; az ő atyja pedig elméjében tartja vala e dolgot.

And his brethren envied him; but his father observed the saying.

Fraţii săi au început să-l pizmuiască; dar tatăl său a ţinut minte lucrurile acestea.

And his brothers were jealous of him, but his father kept the saying in mind.

And his brethren went to feed their father's flock in Shechem.

Fraţii lui Iosif se duseseră la Sihem, ca să pască oile tatălui lor.

Now his brothers went to pasture their father’s flock near Shechem.

ezt mondta Izráel Józsefnek: A bátyáid Sikemben legeltetnek. Gyere, elküldelek téged hozzájuk! Ő pedig felelt: Ímhol vagyok.

Monda Izráel Józsefnek: A te bátyáid avagy nem Sikhemben legeltetnek-é? Jöszte, és én hozzájok küldelek téged. Ő pedig monda: Ímhol [vagyok].

And Israel said unto Joseph, Do not thy brethren feed the flock in Shechem? come, and I will send thee unto them. And he said to him, Here am I.

Israel a zis lui Iosif: „Fraţii tăi pasc oile la Sihem! Vino, căci vreau să te trimit la ei.” „Iată-mă, sunt gata”, a răspuns el.

And Israel said to Joseph, “Are not your brothers pasturing the flock at Shechem? Come, I will send you to them.” And he said to him, “Here I am.”

És ezt mondta neki atyja: Menj el, nézd meg, hogy s mint vannak bátyáid és a juhok, és hozz hírt nekem. Elküldte tehát őt Hebrón völgyéből, és Sikembe ment.

És monda néki: Menj el, nézd meg, hogy s mint vagynak a te bátyáid és a juhok, s hozz hírt nékem. Elküldé tehát őt Hebron völgyéből, és méne Sikhembe.

And he said to him, Go, I pray thee, see whether it be well with thy brethren, and well with the flocks; and bring me word again. So he sent him out of the vale of Hebron, and he came to Shechem.

Israel i-a zis: „Du-te, rogu-te, şi vezi dacă fraţii tăi sunt sănătoşi şi dacă oile sunt bine; şi adu-mi veşti.” L-a trimis astfel din valea Hebronului şi Iosif a ajuns la Sihem.

So he said to him, “Go now, see if it is well with your brothers and with the flock, and bring me word.” So he sent him from the Valley of Hebron, and he came to Shechem.

Mikor a mezőn bolyongott, rátalált egy ember, és megkérdezte őt: Mit keresel?

Előtalálá pedig őt egy ember, mikor a mezőben bolyong vala, és megkérdé őt az az ember, mondván: Mit keressz?

And a certain man found him, and, behold, he was wandering in the field: and the man asked him, saying, What seekest thou?

Pe când rătăcea pe câmp, l-a întâlnit un om. Omul acela l-a întrebat: „Ce cauţi?”

And a man found him wandering in the fields. And the man asked him, “What are you seeking?”

S ő elmondta: A bátyáimat keresem, kérlek, mondd meg nekem: hol legeltetnek?

És monda: Az én bátyáimat keresem, kérlek, mondd meg nékem, hol legeltetnek?

And he said, I seek my brethren: tell me, I pray thee, where they feed their flocks.

„Caut pe fraţii mei”, a răspuns Iosif; „spune-mi, te rog, unde pasc ei oile?”

“I am seeking my brothers,” he said. “Tell me, please, where they are pasturing the flock.”

Azt felelte az ember: Elmentek innen, mert hallottam, hogy beszélték: „Menjünk Dótánba.” Elment azért József a bátyjai után, és megtalálta őket Dótánban.

És monda az ember: Elmentek innen, mert hallám, hogy mondák: Menjünk Dóthánba. Elméne azért József az ő bátyjai után, és megtalálá őket Dóthánban.

And the man said, They are departed hence; for I heard them say, Let us go to Dothan. And Joseph went after his brethren, and found them in Dothan.

Şi omul acela a zis: „Au plecat de aici; căci i-am auzit spunând: „Haidem la Dotan.” Iosif s-a dus după fraţii săi şi i-a găsit la Dotan.

And the man said, “They have gone away, for I heard them say, ‘Let us go to Dothan.’” So Joseph went after his brothers and found them at Dothan.

Mikor távolról meglátták őt, mielőtt közel ért volna hozzájuk, összebeszéltek, hogy megölik.

And when they saw him afar off, even before he came near unto them, they conspired against him to slay him.

Ei l-au zărit de departe şi, până să se apropie de ei, s-au sfătuit să-l omoare.

They saw him from afar, and before he came near to them they conspired against him to kill him.

Így szóltak egymás között: Íme, itt jön az álomlátó!

És szólának egymás között: Ímhol jő az álomlátó!

And they said one to another, Behold, this dreamer cometh.

Ei au zis unul către altul: „Iată că vine făuritorul de vise!

They said to one another, “Here comes this dreamer.

Most hát gyertek, öljük meg őt, és vessük valamelyik kútba. Majd azt mondjuk, hogy fenevad ette meg, és meglátjuk, mi lesz az álmaiból!

Most hát jertek öljük meg őt, és vessük őt valamelyik kútba; és azt mondjuk, hogy fenevad ette meg, és meglátjuk, mi lesz az ő álmaiból.

Come now therefore, and let us slay him, and cast him into some pit, and we will say, Some evil beast hath devoured him: and we shall see what will become of his dreams.

Veniţi acum să-l omorâm şi să-l aruncăm într-una din aceste gropi; vom spune că l-a mâncat o fiară sălbatică şi vom vedea ce se va alege de visele lui.”

Come now, let us kill him and throw him into one of the pits. Then we will say that a fierce animal has devoured him, and we will see what will become of his dreams.”

Meghallotta ezt Rúben, és megmentette őt a kezükből. Ezt mondta: Ne üssük agyon!

Meghallá pedig Rúben és megmenté őt kezökből, és mondá: Ne üssük őt agyon.

And Reuben heard it, and he delivered him out of their hands; and said, Let us not kill him.

Ruben a auzit lucrul acesta şi l-a scos din mâinile lor. El a zis: „Să nu-i luăm viaţa!”

But when Reuben heard it, he rescued him out of their hands, saying, “Let us not take his life.”

Majd ezt mondta nekik: Ne ontsatok vért, vessétek őt ebbe a kútba, amely itt a pusztában van, de kezet ne vessetek reá! Azért mondta, hogy megszabadítsa őt a kezükből, és visszavihesse atyjához.

És mondá nékik Rúben: Ne ontsatok vért, vessétek őt ebbe a kútba, a mely itt a pusztában van, de kezet ne vessetek reá. Azért, hogy megszabadítsa őt kezökből, hogy visszavigye atyjához.

And Reuben said unto them, Shed no blood, but cast him into this pit that is in the wilderness, and lay no hand upon him; that he might rid him out of their hands, to deliver him to his father again.

Ruben le-a zis: „Să nu vărsaţi sânge; ci mai bine aruncaţi-l în groapa aceasta care este în pustiu şi nu puneţi mâna pe el.” Căci avea de gând să-l scape din mâinile lor şi să-l aducă înapoi la tatăl său.

And Reuben said to them, “Shed no blood; throw him into this pit here in the wilderness, but do not lay a hand on him”—that he might rescue him out of their hand to restore him to his father.

Amikor József odaért a bátyjaihoz, letépték a felsőruháját, a cifra ruhát, amely rajta volt.

És lőn, a mint oda ére József az ő bátyjaihoz, letépték Józsefről az ő felső ruháját, a czifra ruhát, mely rajta vala.

And it came to pass, when Joseph was come unto his brethren, that they stript Joseph out of his coat, his coat of many colours that was on him;

Când a ajuns Iosif la fraţii săi, aceştia l-au dezbrăcat de haina lui, de haina cea pestriţă, pe care o avea pe el.

So when Joseph came to his brothers, they stripped him of his robe, the robe of many colors that he wore.

Megragadták, és belevetették a kútba. A kút pedig üres volt, nem volt benne víz.

És megragadák őt és beleveték a kútba; a kút pedig üres vala, nem vala víz benne.

And they took him, and cast him into a pit: and the pit was empty, there was no water in it.

L-au luat şi l-au aruncat în groapă. Groapa aceasta era goală: nu era apă în ea.

And they took him and threw him into a pit. The pit was empty; there was no water in it.

Miután leültek kenyeret enni, és fölemelték a szemüket, látták, hogy íme, egy izmáeli karaván jön Gileádból, és tevéik fűszerszámot, balzsamot és mirhát visznek, hogy elvigyék Egyiptomba.

Azután leűlének kenyerezni, és felemelék szemeiket, és láták, hogy ímé egy Ismáelita karaván jő vala Gileádból, és azoknak tevéi visznek vala fűszerszámot, balzsamot és mirhát, menvén, hogy alávigyék Égyiptomba.

And they sat down to eat bread: and they lifted up their eyes and looked, and, behold, a company of Ishmeelites came from Gilead with their camels bearing spicery and balm and myrrh, going to carry it down to Egypt.

Apoi au şezut să mănânce. Ridicându-şi ochii, au văzut o ceată de ismaeliţi venind din Galaad; cămilele lor erau încărcate cu tămâie, cu leac alinător şi smirnă, pe care le duceau în Egipt.

Then they sat down to eat. And looking up they saw a caravan of Ishmaelites coming from Gilead, with their camels bearing gum, balm, and myrrh, on their way to carry it down to Egypt.

And Judah said unto his brethren, What profit is it if we slay our brother, and conceal his blood?

Atunci Iuda a zis fraţilor săi: „Ce vom câştiga să ucidem pe fratele nostru şi să-i ascundem sângele?

Then Judah said to his brothers, “What profit is it if we kill our brother and conceal his blood?

Gyertek, adjuk el az izmáelieknek, és ne tegyük rá a kezünket, mert testvérünk, vérünkből való ő! És hallgattak rá a testvérei.

Jertek adjuk el őt az Ismáelitáknak, és ne tegyük reá kezünket, mert atyánkfia, vérünkből való ő. És hallgatának rá az ő atyjafiai.

Come, and let us sell him to the Ishmeelites, and let not our hand be upon him; for he is our brother and our flesh. And his brethren were content.

Veniţi mai bine să-l vindem ismaeliţilor şi să nu punem mâna pe el, căci este fratele nostru, carne din carnea noastră.” Şi fraţii lui l-au ascultat.

Come, let us sell him to the Ishmaelites, and let not our hand be upon him, for he is our brother, our own flesh.” And his brothers listened to him.

Közben a midjáni kereskedők arra mentek. Ekkor fölhúzták Józsefet a kútból, és eladták az izmáelieknek húsz ezüstpénzért. Azok pedig elvitték Egyiptomba.

És menének arra Midiánita kereskedő férfiak, és kivonák és felhozák Józsefet a kútból, és eladák Józsefet az Ismáelitáknak húsz ezüstpénzen: [azok] pedig elvivék Józsefet Égyiptomba.

Then there passed by Midianites merchantmen; and they drew and lifted up Joseph out of the pit, and sold Joseph to the Ishmeelites for twenty pieces of silver: and they brought Joseph into Egypt.

La trecerea negustorilor madianiţi, au tras şi au scos pe Iosif afară din groapă şi l-au vândut, cu douăzeci de sicli de argint, ismaeliţilor, care l-au dus în Egipt.

Then Midianite traders passed by. And they drew Joseph up and lifted him out of the pit, and sold him to the Ishmaelites for twenty shekels of silver. They took Joseph to Egypt.

Rúben pedig visszatért a kúthoz, és íme, József nem volt a kútban, mire megszaggatta ruháit.

És visszatére Rúben a kúthoz, és ímé József nem vala a kútban, és megszaggatá ruháit.

And Reuben returned unto the pit; and, behold, Joseph was not in the pit; and he rent his clothes.

Ruben s-a întors la groapă; şi iată că Iosif nu mai era în groapă. El şi-a rupt hainele,

When Reuben returned to the pit and saw that Joseph was not in the pit, he tore his clothes

Visszatért testvéreihez, és azt mondta: Nincsen meg a gyermek, én most merre menjek?

És megtére az ő atyjafiaihoz, és monda: Nincsen a gyermek, és én, merre menjek én?

And he returned unto his brethren, and said, The child is not; and I, whither shall I go?

s-a întors la fraţii săi şi a zis: „Băiatul nu mai este! Ce mă voi face eu?”

and returned to his brothers and said, “The boy is gone, and I, where shall I go?”

Akkor vették József felsőruháját, leöltek egy kecskebakot, és belemártották a ruhát a vérbe.

Akkor vevék a József felső ruháját, és leölének egy kecskebakot, és belemárták a felső ruhát a vérbe.

And they took Joseph's coat, and killed a kid of the goats, and dipped the coat in the blood;

Ei au luat atunci haina lui Iosif; şi înjunghiind un ţap, i-au înmuiat haina în sânge.

Then they took Joseph’s robe and slaughtered a goat and dipped the robe in the blood.

És elküldték a cifra ruhát, és elvitték atyjukhoz, és ezt mondták: Ezt találtuk, fölismered-e, hogy a fiad ruhája, vagy nem?

És elküldék a czifra ruhát, és elvivék atyjokhoz és mondának: Ezt találtuk, ismerd meg, fiad ruhája-é vagy nem?

And they sent the coat of many colours, and they brought it to their father; and said, This have we found: know now whether it be thy son's coat or no.

Au trimis tatălui lor haina cea pestriţă, punând să-i spună: „Iată ce am găsit! Vezi dacă este haina fiului tău sau nu.”

And they sent the robe of many colors and brought it to their father and said, “This we have found; please identify whether it is your son’s robe or not.”

Ő megismerte azt, és ezt mondta: A fiam felsőruhája ez, fenevad ette meg őt, bizony széjjelszaggatta Józsefet.

És megismeré azt, és monda: Fiam felső ruhája ez, fenevad ette meg őt, bizony széllyelszaggatta Józsefet.

And he knew it, and said, It is my son's coat; an evil beast hath devoured him; Joseph is without doubt rent in pieces.

Iacov a cunoscut-o şi a zis: „Este haina fiului meu! O fiară sălbatică l-a mâncat! Da, Iosif a fost făcut bucăţi!”

And he identified it and said, “It is my son’s robe. A fierce animal has devoured him. Joseph is without doubt torn to pieces.”

És megszaggatta Jákób a ruháit, zsákba öltözött, és sokáig gyászolta a fiát.

És megszaggatá Jákób ruháit, és zsákba öltözék és gyászolá az ő fiát sokáig.

And Jacob rent his clothes, and put sackcloth upon his loins, and mourned for his son many days.

Şi şi-a rupt hainele, şi-a pus un sac pe coapse şi a jelit multă vreme pe fiul său.

Then Jacob tore his garments and put sackcloth on his loins and mourned for his son many days.

Fölkelt valamennyi fia és leánya, hogy vigasztalják őt, de nem akart vigasztalódni, hanem azt mondta: Sírva megyek fiamhoz a sírba. Így siratta őt az atyja.

Felkelének pedig minden ő fiai, és minden ő leányai, hogy vígasztalják őt, de nem akara vígasztalódni, hanem monda: Sírva megyek fiamhoz a sírba; és siratá őt az atyja.

And all his sons and all his daughters rose up to comfort him; but he refused to be comforted; and he said, For I will go down into the grave unto my son mourning. Thus his father wept for him.

Toţi fiii şi toate fiicele lui au venit ca să-l mângâie; dar el nu voia să primească nicio mângâiere, ci zicea: „Plângând mă voi coborî la fiul meu în Locuinţa morţilor.” Şi plângea astfel pe fiul său.

All his sons and all his daughters rose up to comfort him, but he refused to be comforted and said, “No, I shall go down to Sheol to my son, mourning.” Thus his father wept for him.

A midjániak pedig eladták őt Egyiptomba Potifárnak, a fáraó főemberének, a testőrök főhadnagyának.

And the Midianites sold him into Egypt unto Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh's, and captain of the guard.
