Amikor látta Ráhel, hogy nem szül Jákóbnak, irigykedni kezdett nővérére, és azt mondta Jákóbnak: Adj nekem gyermekeket, mert ha nem, belehalok!

És látá Rákhel, hogy ő nem szűle Jákóbnak, irigykedni kezde Rákhel az ő nénjére, és monda Jákóbnak: Adj nékem gyermekeket, mert ha nem, meghalok.

And when Rachel saw that she bare Jacob no children, Rachel envied her sister; and said unto Jacob, Give me children, or else I die.

Când a văzut Rahela că nu face copii lui Iacov, a pizmuit pe sora sa şi a zis lui Iacov: „Dă-mi copii, ori mor!”

When Rachel saw that she bore Jacob no children, she envied her sister. She said to Jacob, “Give me children, or I shall die!”

Fölgerjedt azért Jákób haragja Ráhel ellen, és így szólt: Vajon Isten vagyok-e, aki megtagadta tőled, hogy méhednek gyümölcse legyen?

Felgerjede azért Jákób haragja Rákhel ellen, és monda: Avagy Isten [vagyok-é] én, ki megtagadta tőled a méhnek gyümölcsét.

And Jacob's anger was kindled against Rachel: and he said, Am I in God's stead, who hath withheld from thee the fruit of the womb?

Iacov s-a mâniat pe Rahela şi a zis: „Sunt eu oare în locul lui Dumnezeu, care te-a oprit să ai copii?”

Jacob’s anger was kindled against Rachel, and he said, “Am I in the place of God, who has withheld from you the fruit of the womb?”

Mire ő azt felelte: Íme, itt van a szolgálóm, Bilha, menj be hozzá, hogy szüljön az én térdeimen, és én is felépüljek őáltala.

És monda ez: Ímhol az én szolgálóm Bilha, menj be hozzá, hogy szűljön az én térdeimen, és én is megépüljek ő általa.

And she said, Behold my maid Bilhah, go in unto her; and she shall bear upon my knees, that I may also have children by her.

Ea a zis: „Iată roaba mea, Bilha; culcă-te cu ea, ca să nască pe genunchii mei şi să am şi eu copii prin ea.”

Then she said, “Here is my servant Bilhah; go in to her, so that she may give birth on my behalf, that even I may have children through her.”

Nekiadta tehát szolgálóját, Bilhát feleségül, és bement hozzá Jákób,

Adá tehát néki az ő szolgálóját Bilhát feleségűl, és beméne ahhoz Jákób.

And she gave him Bilhah her handmaid to wife: and Jacob went in unto her.

Şi i-a dat de nevastă pe roaba ei, Bilha; şi Iacov s-a culcat cu ea.

So she gave him her servant Bilhah as a wife, and Jacob went in to her.

és várandós lett Bilha, és fiút szült Jákóbnak.

És teherbe esék Bilha és szűle Jákóbnak fiat.

And Bilhah conceived, and bare Jacob a son.

Bilha a rămas însărcinată şi a născut lui Iacov un fiu.

And Bilhah conceived and bore Jacob a son.

Akkor ezt mondta Ráhel: Ítélt felőlem az Isten, és meg is hallgatta szavamat, fiút adott nekem. Ezért nevezte Dánnak.

És monda Rákhel: Ítélt felőlem az Isten, és meg is hallgatta szavamat, és adott énnékem fiat: azért nevezé nevét Dánnak.

And Rachel said, God hath judged me, and hath also heard my voice, and hath given me a son: therefore called she his name Dan.

Rahela a zis: „Mi-a făcut Dumnezeu dreptate, mi-a auzit glasul şi mi-a dăruit un fiu.” De aceea i-a pus numele Dan.

Then Rachel said, “God has judged me, and has also heard my voice and given me a son.” Therefore she called his name Dan.

Ismét fogant méhében, és szült Bilha, Ráhel szolgálója egy másik fiút is Jákóbnak.

Ismét fogada az ő méhében, és szűle Bilha, a Rákhel szolgálója más fiat is Jákóbnak.

And Bilhah Rachel's maid conceived again, and bare Jacob a second son.

Bilha, roaba Rahelei, a rămas iar însărcinată şi a născut lui Iacov un al doilea fiu.

Rachel’s servant Bilhah conceived again and bore Jacob a second son.

És ekkor ezt mondta Ráhel: Nagy tusakodással tusakodtam nővéremmel, és győztem. Azért nevezte fiát Naftálinak.

És monda Rákhel: Nagy tusakodással tusakodtam az én nénémmel, és győztem; azért nevezé nevét Nafthalinak.

And Rachel said, With great wrestlings have I wrestled with my sister, and I have prevailed: and she called his name Naphtali.

Rahela a zis: „Am luptat cu Dumnezeu împotriva surorii mele şi am biruit.” De aceea i-a pus numele Neftali.

Then Rachel said, “With mighty wrestlings I have wrestled with my sister and have prevailed.” So she called his name Naphtali.

Látva pedig Lea, hogy megszűnt szülni, vette a szolgálóját, Zilpát, és Jákóbnak adta feleségül.

Látván pedig Lea hogy ő megszűnt a szűléstől, vevé az ő szolgálóját Zilpát, és adá azt Jákóbnak feleségűl.

When Leah saw that she had left bearing, she took Zilpah her maid, and gave her Jacob to wife.

Când a văzut Lea că nu mai naşte, a luat pe roaba sa, Zilpa, şi a dat-o lui Iacov de nevastă.

When Leah saw that she had ceased bearing children, she took her servant Zilpah and gave her to Jacob as a wife.

És Zilpa, Lea szolgálója, fiút szült Jákóbnak.

And Zilpah Leah's maid bare Jacob a son.

Then Leah’s servant Zilpah bore Jacob a son.

És így szólt Lea: Szerencsés vagyok! És Gádnak nevezte.

És monda Lea: Szerencsére! és nevezé nevét Gádnak!

And Leah said, A troop cometh: and she called his name Gad.

„Cu noroc!” a zis Lea. De aceea i-a pus numele Gad.

And Leah said, “Good fortune has come!” so she called his name Gad.

Lea szolgálója, Zilpa, másik fiút is szült Jákóbnak.

És szűle Zilpa, Lea szolgálója, más fiat is Jákóbnak.

And Zilpah Leah's maid bare Jacob a second son.

Zilpa, roaba Leii, a născut un al doilea fiul lui Iacov.

Leah’s servant Zilpah bore Jacob a second son.

Ekkor ezt mondta Lea: Ő az én boldogságom! Bizony boldognak mondanak engem az asszonyok. Ezért Ásérnak nevezte el őt.

És monda Lea: Oh én boldogságom! bizony boldognak mondanak engem az asszonyok: és nevezé nevét Ásernek.

And Leah said, Happy am I, for the daughters will call me blessed: and she called his name Asher.

„Ce fericită sunt!” a zis Lea; „căci femeile mă vor numi fericită.” De aceea i-a pus numele Aşer.

And Leah said, “Happy am I! For women have called me happy.” So she called his name Asher.

És kiment Rúben búzaaratáskor, mandragórát talált a mezőn, és elvitte az anyjának, Leának. Ráhel pedig azt mondta Leának: Adj nekem, kérlek, a fiad mandragórájából!

És kiméne Rúben búzaaratáskor, és talála a mezőn mandragóra-bogyókat s vivé azokat az ő anyjának, Leának. És monda Rákhel Leának: Adj nékem kérlek a fiad mandragóra-bogyóiból.

And Reuben went in the days of wheat harvest, and found mandrakes in the field, and brought them unto his mother Leah. Then Rachel said to Leah, Give me, I pray thee, of thy son's mandrakes.

Ruben a ieşit odată afară, pe vremea seceratului grâului, şi a găsit mandragore pe câmp. Le-a adus mamei sale, Lea. Atunci Rahela a zis Leii: „Dă-mi, te rog, din mandragorele fiului tău.”

In the days of wheat harvest Reuben went and found mandrakes in the field and brought them to his mother Leah. Then Rachel said to Leah, “Please give me some of your son’s mandrakes.”

Lea pedig ezt mondta neki: Talán keveselled, hogy elvetted tőlem a férjemet, s a fiam mandragóráját is elvennéd tőlem? Erre azt felelte Ráhel: Háljon hát veled Jákób az éjjel fiad mandragórájáért.

Az pedig monda néki: Talán keveselled, hogy elvetted tőlem az én férjemet, s a fiam mandragóra-bogyóit is elvennéd tőlem? És monda Rákhel: Háljon veled hát az éjjel a te fiad mandragóra-bogyóiért.

And she said unto her, Is it a small matter that thou hast taken my husband? and wouldest thou take away my son's mandrakes also? And Rachel said, Therefore he shall lie with thee to night for thy son's mandrakes.

Ea i-a răspuns: „Nu-ţi ajunge că mi-ai luat bărbatul, de vrei să iei şi mandragorele fiului meu?” Şi Rahela a zis: „Ei bine! Poate să se culce cu tine în noaptea aceasta, pentru mandragorele fiului tău.”

But she said to her, “Is it a small matter that you have taken away my husband? Would you take away my son’s mandrakes also?” Rachel said, “Then he may lie with you tonight in exchange for your son’s mandrakes.”

Mikor Jákób este megjött a mezőről, elé ment Lea, és ezt mondta: Hozzám jöjj be, mert megvettelek a fiam mandragórájáért! És nála hált azon az éjszakán.

Mikor Jákób este a mezőről jöve, eleibe méne Lea, és monda: Én hozzám jőjj be, mert megvettelek a fiam mandragóra-bogyóiért; és nála hála azon éjszaka.

And Jacob came out of the field in the evening, and Leah went out to meet him, and said, Thou must come in unto me; for surely I have hired thee with my son's mandrakes. And he lay with her that night.

Seara, pe când se întorcea Iacov de la câmp, Lea i-a ieşit înainte şi a zis: „La mine ai să vii, căci te-am cumpărat cu mandragorele fiului meu.” Şi în noaptea aceea s-a culcat cu ea.

When Jacob came from the field in the evening, Leah went out to meet him and said, “You must come in to me, for I have hired you with my son’s mandrakes.” So he lay with her that night.

És meghallgatta Isten Leát, mert fogant méhében, és ötödször is fiút szült Jákóbnak.

És meghallgatá Isten Leát, mert fogada az ő méhében és szűle Jákóbnak ötödik fiat.

And God hearkened unto Leah, and she conceived, and bare Jacob the fifth son.

Dumnezeu a ascultat pe Lea, care a rămas însărcinată şi a născut lui Iacov al cincilea fiu.

And God listened to Leah, and she conceived and bore Jacob a fifth son.

Akkor ezt mondta Lea: Megadta Isten a jutalmamat, amiért szolgálómat férjemnek adtam. Azért Issakárnak nevezte őt.

És monda Lea: Megadta az Isten jutalmamat, a miért szolgálómat férjemnek adtam; azért nevezé nevét Izsakhárnak.

And Leah said, God hath given me my hire, because I have given my maiden to my husband: and she called his name Issachar.

Lea a zis: „M-a răsplătit Dumnezeu, pentru că am dat bărbatului meu pe roaba mea.” De aceea i-a pus numele Isahar.

Leah said, “God has given me my wages because I gave my servant to my husband.” So she called his name Issachar.

Majd ismét fogant a méhében Lea, és hatodszor is fiút szült Jákóbnak.

És ismét fogada az ő méhében Lea, és szűle hatodik fiat Jákóbnak.

And Leah conceived again, and bare Jacob the sixth son.

Lea a rămas iarăşi însărcinată şi a născut un al şaselea fiul lui Iacov.

And Leah conceived again, and she bore Jacob a sixth son.

És ezt mondta Lea: Megajándékozott az Isten engem jó ajándékkal. Most már velem lakik a férjem, mert hat fiút szültem neki. Ezért Zebulonnak nevezte őt.

És monda Lea: Megajándékozott az Isten engem jó ajándékkal; most már velem lakik az én férjem, mert hat fiat szűltem néki, és nevezé nevét Zebulonnak.

And Leah said, God hath endued me with a good dowry; now will my husband dwell with me, because I have born him six sons: and she called his name Zebulun.

Lea a zis: „Frumos dar mi-a dat Dumnezeu! De data aceasta bărbatul meu va locui cu mine, căci i-am născut şase fii.” De aceea i-a pus numele Zabulon

Then Leah said, “God has endowed me with a good endowment; now my husband will honor me, because I have borne him six sons.” So she called his name Zebulun.

Azután leányt szült, és Dinának nevezte el.

Annakutána szűle leányt, és nevezé nevét Dínának.

And afterwards she bare a daughter, and called her name Dinah.

În urmă, a născut o fată, căreia i-a pus numele Dina.

Afterward she bore a daughter and called her name Dinah.

Megemlékezett pedig Isten Ráhelről: meghallgatta őt, és megnyitotta méhét.

Megemlékezék pedig az Isten Rákhelről; és meghallgatá őt az Isten és megnyitá az ő méhét.

And God remembered Rachel, and God hearkened to her, and opened her womb.

Dumnezeu Şi-a adus aminte de Rahela, a ascultat-o şi a făcut-o să aibă copii.

Then God remembered Rachel, and God listened to her and opened her womb.

Fogant a méhében, fiút szült, és azt mondta: Elvette Isten a gyalázatomat.

És fogada méhében, és szűle fiat, s monda: Elvevé Isten az én gyalázatomat.

And she conceived, and bare a son; and said, God hath taken away my reproach:

Ea a rămas însărcinată şi a născut un fiu; şi a zis: „Mi-a luat Dumnezeu ocara!”

She conceived and bore a son and said, “God has taken away my reproach.”

Józsefnek nevezte, és azt mondta: Adjon ehhez az ÚR nekem másik fiút is!

És nevezé nevét Józsefnek, mondván: Adjon ehhez az Úr nékem más fiat is.

And she called his name Joseph; and said, The LORD shall add to me another son.

Şi i-a pus numele Iosif zicând: „Domnul să-mi mai adauge un fiu!”

And she called his name Joseph, saying, “May the LORD add to me another son!”

Miután Ráhel megszülte Józsefet, így szólt Jákób Lábánnak: Bocsáss el engem, hadd menjek el az én helyemre, a hazámba!

És lőn, a mint szűlte vala Rákhel Józsefet, monda Jákób Lábánnak: Bocsáss el engemet, hadd menjek el az én helyembe, az én hazámba.

And it came to pass, when Rachel had born Joseph, that Jacob said unto Laban, Send me away, that I may go unto mine own place, and to my country.

După ce a născut Rahela pe Iosif, Iacov a zis lui Laban: „Lasă-mă să plec, ca să mă duc acasă, în ţara mea.

As soon as Rachel had borne Joseph, Jacob said to Laban, “Send me away, that I may go to my own home and country.

Add ki nekem feleségeimet és magzataimat, akikért szolgáltalak téged, hadd menjek el, mert tudod, hogyan szolgáltalak téged.

Add meg nékem az én feleségeimet és magzatimat, a kikért szolgáltalak téged, hadd menjek el, mert te tudod az én szolgálatomat, a melylyel szolgáltalak téged.

Give me my wives and my children, for whom I have served thee, and let me go: for thou knowest my service which I have done thee.

Dă-mi nevestele şi copiii, pentru care ţi-am slujit, şi voi pleca; fiindcă ştii ce slujbă ţi-am făcut.”

Give me my wives and my children for whom I have served you, that I may go, for you know the service that I have given you.”

Lábán ezt felelte neki: Bárcsak kedvet találtam volna a szemedben! Úgy sejtem, hogy érted áldott meg engem az ÚR.

És monda néki Lábán: Vajha kedvet találtam volna szemeid előtt! Úgy sejtem, hogy te éretted áldott meg engem az Úr.

And Laban said unto him, I pray thee, if I have found favour in thine eyes, tarry: for I have learned by experience that the LORD hath blessed me for thy sake.

Laban i-a zis: „Dacă am căpătat trecere înaintea ta, mai zăboveşte; văd bine că Domnul m-a binecuvântat din pricina ta;

But Laban said to him, “If I have found favor in your sight, I have learned by divination that the LORD has blessed me because of you.

És azt mondta: Szabj bért magadnak, és én megadom!

És monda: Szabj bért magadnak és én megadom.

And he said, Appoint me thy wages, and I will give it.

hotărăşte-mi simbria ta şi ţi-o voi da.”

Name your wages, and I will give it.”

Ő pedig így felelt: Tudod, hogyan szolgáltalak, és hogy mivé vált nálam a jószágod.

Ez pedig monda: Te tudod mimódon szolgáltalak téged, és hogy mivé lett nálam a te jószágod.

And he said unto him, Thou knowest how I have served thee, and how thy cattle was with me.

Iacov i-a răspuns: „Ştii cum ţi-am slujit şi cum ţi-au propăşit vitele cu mine;

Jacob said to him, “You yourself know how I have served you, and how your livestock has fared with me.

Mert ami kevesed volt előttem, sokra szaporodott, és megáldott az ÚR téged lábam nyomán. De mikor tehetek már valamit a magam házáért is?

Mert a mi kevesed vala én előttem, sokra szaporodott, és megáldott az Úr téged az én lábam nyomán. Immár mikor tehetek valamit a magam házáért is?

For it was little which thou hadst before I came, and it is now increased unto a multitude; and the LORD hath blessed thee since my coming: and now when shall I provide for mine own house also?

căci puţinul pe care-l aveai înainte de venirea mea, a crescut mult, şi Domnul te-a binecuvântat ori încotro am mers eu. Acum, când am să muncesc şi pentru casa mea?”

For you had little before I came, and it has increased abundantly, and the LORD has blessed you wherever I turned. But now when shall I provide for my own household also?”

Ekkor ezt kérdezte Lábán: Mit adjak neked? Jákób így felelt: Ne adj nekem semmit. Juhaidat ismét legeltetem és őrzöm, ha nekem ezt a dolgot megteszed:

És monda [Lábán:] Mit adjak néked? Felele Jákób: Ne adj nékem semmit; juhaidat ismét legeltetem és őrizem, ha nekem ezt a dolgot megteszed:

And he said, What shall I give thee? And Jacob said, Thou shalt not give me any thing: if thou wilt do this thing for me, I will again feed and keep thy flock.

Laban a zis: „Ce să-ţi dau?” Şi Iacov a răspuns: „Să nu-mi dai nimic. Dacă te învoieşti cu ce-ţi voi spune, îţi voi paşte turma şi mai departe şi o voi păzi.

He said, “What shall I give you?” Jacob said, “You shall not give me anything. If you will do this for me, I will again pasture your flock and keep it:

nyájaidat ma mind végigjárom, minden pettyes és tarka bárányt kiválogatok közülük, és minden fekete bárányt a juhok közül s a tarkát és pettyest a kecskék közül, az legyen az én bérem.

Nyájaidat ma mind végig járom, minden pettyegetett és tarka bárányt kiszaggatok közűlök, és minden fekete bárányt a juhok közűl, s a tarkát és pettyegetettet a kecskék közűl, s legyen [ez] az én bérem.

I will pass through all thy flock to day, removing from thence all the speckled and spotted cattle, and all the brown cattle among the sheep, and the spotted and speckled among the goats: and of such shall be my hire.

Azi am să trec prin toată turma ta; am să pun deoparte din oi orice miel sein şi pestriţ şi orice miel negru, şi din capre tot ce este pestriţ şi sein. Aceasta să fie simbria mea.

let me pass through all your flock today, removing from it every speckled and spotted sheep and every black lamb, and the spotted and speckled among the goats, and they shall be my wages.

És amikor majd bérem ügyében eljössz, becsületességemről az felel, ami előtted lesz: ami nem pettyes vagy tarka a kecskék s nem fekete a juhok közt, az mind lopott jószág nálam.

S a mikor majd bérem iránt eljövéndesz, mi előtted lesz, becsületességemről ez felel: a mi nem pettyegetett vagy tarka a kecskék, s nem fekete a juhok közt, az mind lopott jószág nálam.

So shall my righteousness answer for me in time to come, when it shall come for my hire before thy face: every one that is not speckled and spotted among the goats, and brown among the sheep, that shall be counted stolen with me.

Iată cum se va dovedi cinstea mea: de acum încolo, când ai să vii să-mi vezi simbria, tot ce nu va fi sein şi pestriţ între capre şi negru între miei, şi se va găsi la mine, să fie socotit ca furat.”

So my honesty will answer for me later, when you come to look into my wages with you. Every one that is not speckled and spotted among the goats and black among the lambs, if found with me, shall be counted stolen.”

Azt mondta Lábán: Ám legyen! Bárcsak beszéded szerint lenne.

És monda Lábán: Ám legyen: Vajha a te beszéded szerint lenne.

And Laban said, Behold, I would it might be according to thy word.

Laban a zis: „Bine! Fie aşa cum ai zis.”

Laban said, “Good! Let it be as you have said.”

Különválasztotta azért azon a napon a pettyes és a tarka kosokat és minden csíkos lábú és tarka kecskét, mindet, amelyikben valami fehérség volt, és minden feketét a juhok közül, és fiai keze alá adta.

Külön választá azért azon a napon a pettyegetett és tarka kosokat, és minden csíkos lábú és tarka kecskét, mind a melyikben valami fehérség vala, és minden feketét a juhok közűl, és adá az ő fiainak keze alá.

And he removed that day the he goats that were ringstraked and spotted, and all the she goats that were speckled and spotted, and every one that had some white in it, and all the brown among the sheep, and gave them into the hand of his sons.

În aceeaşi zi, a pus deoparte ţapii bălţaţi şi pestriţi, toate caprele seine şi pestriţe, toate cele ce aveau alb pe ele şi toţi mieii care erau negri. Le-a dat în mâinile fiilor săi.

But that day Laban removed the male goats that were striped and spotted, and all the female goats that were speckled and spotted, every one that had white on it, and every lamb that was black, and put them in the charge of his sons.

Majd háromnapi járóföldet vetett maga és Jákób közé. Jákób pedig Lábán többi juhát legeltette.

És három napi járó földet vete maga közé és Jákób közé; Jákób pedig legelteti vala Lábán egyéb juhait.

And he set three days' journey betwixt himself and Jacob: and Jacob fed the rest of Laban's flocks.

Apoi a pus o depărtare de trei zile de drum între el şi Iacov; şi Iacov păştea celelalte oi ale lui Laban.

And he set a distance of three days’ journey between himself and Jacob, and Jacob pastured the rest of Laban’s flock.

És Jákób zöld nyárfa-, mogyoró- és gesztenyevesszőket vett, és fehér csíkosra hántotta azokat, hogy látható legyen a vesszők fehére.

És vőn Jákób zöld nyár-, mogyoró- és gesztenye-vesszőket, és meghántá azokat fehéresen csíkosra, hogy látható legyen a vesszők fehére.

And Jacob took him rods of green poplar, and of the hazel and chesnut tree; and pilled white strakes in them, and made the white appear which was in the rods.

Iacov a luat nuiele verzi de plop, de migdal şi de platan; a despuiat de pe ele fâşii de coajă şi a făcut să se vadă albeaţa care era pe nuiele.

Then Jacob took fresh sticks of poplar and almond and plane trees, and peeled white streaks in them, exposing the white of the sticks.

A vesszőket, amelyeket meghántott, felállította a csatornákba, az itatóvályúkba, amelyekhez a juhok inni jártak, szembe a juhokkal, hogy foganjanak, mikor inni jönnek.

És a vesszőket, melyeket meghántott vala, felállítá a csatornákba, az itató válúkba, melyekre a juhok inni járnak vala, szembe a juhokkal, hogy foganjanak, mikor inni jönnek.

And he set the rods which he had pilled before the flocks in the gutters in the watering troughs when the flocks came to drink, that they should conceive when they came to drink.

Apoi a pus nuielele pe care le despuiase de coajă în jgheaburi, în adăpători, sub ochii oilor care veneau să bea, ca atunci când vor veni să bea, să zămislească.

He set the sticks that he had peeled in front of the flocks in the troughs, that is, the watering places, where the flocks came to drink. And since they bred when they came to drink,

És a juhok a vesszők előtt fogantak, és csíkos lábúakat, pettyeseket és tarkákat ellettek.

És a juhok a vesszők előtt foganának és ellenek vala csíkos lábúakat, pettyegetetteket és tarkákat.

And the flocks conceived before the rods, and brought forth cattle ringstraked, speckled, and spotted.

Oile zămisleau uitându-se la nuiele şi făceau miei bălţaţi, seini şi pestriţi.

the flocks bred in front of the sticks and so the flocks brought forth striped, speckled, and spotted.

And Jacob did separate the lambs, and set the faces of the flocks toward the ringstraked, and all the brown in the flock of Laban; and he put his own flocks by themselves, and put them not unto Laban's cattle.

Iacov despărţea mieii aceştia şi abătea feţele oilor din turma lui Laban către cele seine şi bălţate. Şi-a făcut astfel turme deosebite, pe care nu le-a împreunat cu turma lui Laban.

And Jacob separated the lambs and set the faces of the flocks toward the striped and all the black in the flock of Laban. He put his own droves apart and did not put them with Laban’s flock.

És amikor a nyáj java részének a párzási ideje volt, akkor Jákób a vesszőket odarakta a vályúkba a juhok elé, hogy a vesszőket látva foganjanak.

És lőn, hogy mikor a nyáj java részének vala párzási ideje, akkor Jákób a vesszőket oda raká a válúkba a juhok eleibe, hogy a vesszőket látva foganjanak.

And it came to pass, whensoever the stronger cattle did conceive, that Jacob laid the rods before the eyes of the cattle in the gutters, that they might conceive among the rods.

But when the cattle were feeble, he put them not in: so the feebler were Laban's, and the stronger Jacob's.

Când oile erau slabe, nu punea nuielele; aşa că cele slabe erau pentru Laban, iar cele tari pentru Iacov.

but for the feebler of the flock he would not lay them there. So the feebler would be Laban’s, and the stronger Jacob’s.

És ily módon fölötte igen meggazdagodott Jákób. Sok juha, szolgálója, szolgája, tevéje és szamara volt neki.

És felette igen meggazdagodék a férfiú; és vala néki sok juha, szolgálója, szolgája, tevéje és szamara.

And the man increased exceedingly, and had much cattle, and maidservants, and menservants, and camels, and asses.

Omul acesta s-a îmbogăţit astfel din ce în ce mai mult; a avut multe turme, robi şi roabe, cămile şi măgari.

Thus the man increased greatly and had large flocks, female servants and male servants, and camels and donkeys.
