Mikor a két angyal estére Sodomába jutott, Lót Sodoma kapujában ült. Amint meglátta őket, fölkelt, eléjük ment, és arccal a földre borult,

And there came two angels to Sodom at even; and Lot sat in the gate of Sodom: and Lot seeing them rose up to meet them; and he bowed himself with his face toward the ground;

Cei doi îngeri au ajuns la Sodoma seara; şi Lot şedea la poarta Sodomei. Când i-a văzut Lot, s-a sculat, le-a ieşit înainte şi s-a plecat până la pământ.

The two angels came to Sodom in the evening, and Lot was sitting in the gate of Sodom. When Lot saw them, he rose to meet them and bowed himself with his face to the earth

s így szólt: Íme, Uraim, kérlek, jöjjetek be szolgátok házába, mossátok meg lábatokat, és térjetek nyugovóra. Reggel korán fölkelhettek, és utatokra indulhattok. Azok pedig ezt felelték: Nem, hanem az utcán alszunk.

És monda: Ímé én Uraim kérlek, térjetek be a ti szolgátok házához, és háljatok ott, és mossátok meg lábaitokat; reggel korán felkelhettek és indulhattok útatokra. Azok pedig mondának: Nem, hanem az utczán hálunk meg.

And he said, Behold now, my lords, turn in, I pray you, into your servant's house, and tarry all night, and wash your feet, and ye shall rise up early, and go on your ways. And they said, Nay; but we will abide in the street all night.

Apoi a zis: „Domnii mei, intraţi, vă rog, în casa robului vostru, ca să rămâneţi peste noapte în ea şi spălaţi-vă picioarele; mâine vă veţi scula de dimineaţă şi vă veţi vedea de drum.” „Nu „, au răspuns ei, „ci vom petrece noaptea în uliţă.”

and said, “My lords, please turn aside to your servant’s house and spend the night and wash your feet. Then you may rise up early and go on your way.” They said, “No; we will spend the night in the town square.”

De mivel nagyon unszolta őket, betértek hozzá, és bementek a házába. Ő pedig megvendégelte őket, kovásztalan kenyeret is sütött, és ettek.

And he pressed upon them greatly; and they turned in unto him, and entered into his house; and he made them a feast, and did bake unleavened bread, and they did eat.

But he pressed them strongly; so they turned aside to him and entered his house. And he made them a feast and baked unleavened bread, and they ate.

Lefekvésük előtt a város férfiai, a sodomai férfiak körülvették a házat, ifjútól vénig, az egész közösség egytől egyig.

Lefekvésök előtt a város férfiai, Sodoma férfiai körűlvevék a házat, ifja, örege, mind az egész község egytől egyig.

But before they lay down, the men of the city, even the men of Sodom, compassed the house round, both old and young, all the people from every quarter:

Dar nu se culcaseră încă, şi oamenii din cetate, bărbaţii din Sodoma, tineri şi bătrâni, au înconjurat casa; tot norodul a alergat din toate colţurile.

But before they lay down, the men of the city, the men of Sodom, both young and old, all the people to the last man, surrounded the house.

És szólították Lótot: Hol vannak a férfiak, akik hozzád jöttek az éjjel? Hozd ki őket hozzánk, hadd ismerjük őket.

És szólíták Lótot, mondván néki: Hol vannak a férfiak, a kik te hozzád jövének az éjjel? Hozd ki azokat mi hozzánk, hadd ismerjük őket.

And they called unto Lot, and said unto him, Where are the men which came in to thee this night? bring them out unto us, that we may know them.

Au chemat pe Lot şi i-au zis: „Unde sunt oamenii care au intrat la tine în noaptea aceasta? Scoate-i afară la noi, ca să ne împreunăm cu ei.”

And they called to Lot, “Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us, that we may know them.”

Kiment hozzájuk Lót az ajtó elé, és bezárta maga után az ajtót,

És kiméne Lót ő hozzájok az ajtó eleibe, és bezárá maga után az ajtót.

And Lot went out at the door unto them, and shut the door after him,

Lot a ieşit afară la ei, la uşă, a încuiat uşa după el

Lot went out to the men at the entrance, shut the door after him,

és ezt mondta: Kérlek, testvéreim, ne cselekedjetek gonoszságot!

És monda: Kérlek atyámfiai, ne cselekedjetek gonoszságot.

And said, I pray you, brethren, do not so wickedly.

şi a zis: „Fraţilor, vă rog, nu faceţi o asemenea răutate!

and said, “I beg you, my brothers, do not act so wickedly.

Íme, van nekem két leányom, akik még nem ismertek férfit, kihozom azokat tihozzátok, és cselekedjetek velük, ahogy nektek tetszik, csak ezekkel az emberekkel ne csináljatok semmit, mert az én hajlékom árnyéka alá jöttek.

Ímé van énnékem két leányom, a kik még nem ismertek férfiat, kihozom azokat ti hozzátok, és cselekedjetek velök a mint néktek tetszik, csakhogy ezekkel az emberekkel ne csináljatok semmit, mivelhogy az én hajlékom árnyéka alá jöttenek.

Behold now, I have two daughters which have not known man; let me, I pray you, bring them out unto you, and do ye to them as is good in your eyes: only unto these men do nothing; for therefore came they under the shadow of my roof.

Iată că am două fete care nu ştiu de bărbat; am să vi le aduc afară şi le veţi face ce vă va plăcea. Numai nu faceţi nimic acestor oameni, fiindcă au venit sub umbra acoperişului casei mele.”

Behold, I have two daughters who have not known any man. Let me bring them out to you, and do to them as you please. Only do nothing to these men, for they have come under the shelter of my roof.”

De azok azt mondták: Menj innen! Majd így szóltak: Csak egy jövevény nálunk, és ő szab törvényt nekünk? Majd gonoszabbul cselekszünk veled, mint azokkal. És rárohantak, és már azon voltak, hogy betörik az ajtót.

Azok pedig mondának: Eredj el innen. Ismét mondának: Ez egy maga nálunk a jövevény s ő szabja a törvényt? Majd gonoszbul cselekszünk veled, hogy nem azokkal. És reá rohanának a férfiúra, Lótra, felette igen, és azon valának, hogy betörik az ajtót.

And they said, Stand back. And they said again, This one fellow came in to sojourn, and he will needs be a judge: now will we deal worse with thee, than with them. And they pressed sore upon the man, even Lot, and came near to break the door.

Ei au strigat: „Pleacă!” Şi au zis: „Omul acesta a venit să locuiască aici ca un străin, şi acum vrea să facă pe judecătorul. Ei bine, o să-ţi facem mai rău decât lor.” Şi, împingând pe Lot cu sila, s-au apropiat să spargă uşa.

But they said, “Stand back!” And they said, “This fellow came to sojourn, and he has become the judge! Now we will deal worse with you than with them.” Then they pressed hard against the man Lot, and drew near to break the door down.

De kinyújtották azok a férfiak a kezüket, és bevonták Lótot magukhoz a házba, és bezárták az ajtót.

But the men put forth their hand, and pulled Lot into the house to them, and shut to the door.

But the men reached out their hands and brought Lot into the house with them and shut the door.

And they smote the men that were at the door of the house with blindness, both small and great: so that they wearied themselves to find the door.

And they struck with blindness the men who were at the entrance of the house, both small and great, so that they wore themselves out groping for the door.

Akkor azt mondták a férfiak Lótnak: Ki van még itt hozzád tartozó? Vőidet, fiaidat és leányaidat és mindenedet, ami a tied a városban, vidd ki e helyről,

És mondának a férfiak Lótnak: Ki van még itt hozzád tartozó? vődet, fiaidat és leányaidat, és mindenedet, a mi a tied a városban, vidd ki e helyből.

And the men said unto Lot, Hast thou here any besides? son in law, and thy sons, and thy daughters, and whatsoever thou hast in the city, bring them out of this place:

Bărbaţii aceia au zis lui Lot: „Pe cine mai ai aici? Gineri, fii şi fiice şi tot ce ai în cetate: scoate-i din locul acesta.

Then the men said to Lot, “Have you anyone else here? Sons-in-law, sons, daughters, or anyone you have in the city, bring them out of the place.

mert elveszítjük e helyet, mivelhogy eljutott az ÚRhoz az a nagy jajkiáltás, amelyet okoztak. Az ÚR küldött minket, hogy elpusztítsuk e várost.

Mert mi elvesztjük e helyet, mivelhogy ezek kiáltása nagyra nőtt az Úr előtt; és az Úr küldött minket, hogy elveszítsük ezt.

For we will destroy this place, because the cry of them is waxen great before the face of the LORD; and the LORD hath sent us to destroy it.

Căci avem să nimicim locul acesta, pentru că a ajuns mare plângere înaintea Domnului împotriva locuitorilor lui. De aceea ne-a trimis Domnul, ca să-l nimicim.”

For we are about to destroy this place, because the outcry against its people has become great before the LORD, and the LORD has sent us to destroy it.”

Kiment azért Lót, és így szólt a vőinek, akik a leányait el akarták venni: Keljetek föl, menjetek ki e helyről, mert elveszti az ÚR ezt a várost! De a vőinek úgy tűnt, mintha tréfálna.

Kiméne azért Lót, és szóla az ő vőinek, kik az ő leányait elvették vala, és monda: Keljetek fel, menjetek ki e helyből, mert elveszti az Úr e várost; de az ő vőinek úgy tetszék, mintha tréfálna.

And Lot went out, and spake unto his sons in law, which married his daughters, and said, Up, get you out of this place; for the LORD will destroy this city. But he seemed as one that mocked unto his sons in law.

Lot a ieşit şi a vorbit cu ginerii săi, care luaseră pe fetele lui: „Sculaţi-vă”, a zis el, „iesiţi din locul acesta; căci Domnul are să nimicească cetatea.” Dar ginerii lui credeau că glumeşte.

So Lot went out and said to his sons-in-law, who were to marry his daughters, “Up! Get out of this place, for the LORD is about to destroy the city.” But he seemed to his sons-in-law to be jesting.

Mikor hajnalodott, sürgették az angyalok Lótot: Kelj föl, vedd a feleségedet és a jelen levő két leányodat, hogy el ne vessz a város bűne miatt.

És mikor a hajnal feljött, sürgetik vala az Angyalok Lótot, mondván: Kelj fel, vedd a te feleségedet és jelenlevő két leányodat, hogy el ne veszsz a városnak bűne miatt.

And when the morning arose, then the angels hastened Lot, saying, Arise, take thy wife, and thy two daughters, which are here; lest thou be consumed in the iniquity of the city.

Când s-a crăpat de ziuă, îngerii au stăruit de Lot, zicând: „Scoală-te, ia-ţi nevasta şi cele două fete, care se află aici, ca să nu pieri şi tu în nelegiuirea cetăţii.”

As morning dawned, the angels urged Lot, saying, “Up! Take your wife and your two daughters who are here, lest you be swept away in the punishment of the city.”

Mikor pedig tétovázott, megragadták a férfiak a kezét és feleségének s két leányának kezét az ÚRnak iránta való irgalmából, és kivitték, és otthagyták a városon kívül.

Mikor pedig késedelmeskedék, megragadák a férfiak az ő kezét és az ő feleségének kezét és két leánya kezét, az Úrnak iránta való irgalmából, és kivivék őt: és ott hagyák a városon kívül.

And while he lingered, the men laid hold upon his hand, and upon the hand of his wife, and upon the hand of his two daughters; the LORD being merciful unto him: and they brought him forth, and set him without the city.

Şi, fiindcă Lot zăbovea, bărbaţii aceia l-au apucat de mână, pe el, pe nevasta sa şi pe cele două fete ale lui, căci Domnul voia să-l cruţe; l-au scos şi l-au lăsat afară din cetate.

But he lingered. So the men seized him and his wife and his two daughters by the hand, the LORD being merciful to him, and they brought him out and set him outside the city.

Amikor kivitték őket, azt mondta az egyik: Mentsd meg az életedet, ne tekints hátra, és meg ne állj a környéken! A hegyre menekülj, hogy el ne vessz!

És lőn mikor kivivék őket, monda az [egyik:] Mentsd meg a te életedet, hátra ne tekints, és meg ne állj a környéken; a hegyre menekülj, hogy el ne veszsz.

And it came to pass, when they had brought them forth abroad, that he said, Escape for thy life; look not behind thee, neither stay thou in all the plain; escape to the mountain, lest thou be consumed.

După ce i-au scos afară, unul din ei a zis: „Scapă-ţi viaţa; să nu te uiţi înapoi şi să nu te opreşti în vreun loc din câmpie: scapă la munte, ca să nu pieri.”

And as they brought them out, one said, “Escape for your life. Do not look back or stop anywhere in the valley. Escape to the hills, lest you be swept away.”

Lót azt felelte: Ne, ó, Uram!

És monda Lót nékik: Ne oh Uram!

And Lot said unto them, Oh, not so, my LORD:

Lot le-a zis: „O! nu, Doamne!

And Lot said to them, “Oh, no, my lords.

Íme, szolgád kegyelmet talált előtted, és nagy irgalmasságot mutattál irántam, hogy életemet megtartottad. De én nem menekülhetek a hegyre, nehogy utolérjen a veszedelem, és meghaljak.

Ímé a te szolgád kegyelmet talált te előtted, és nagy a te irgalmasságod, melyet mutattál irántam, hogy életemet megtartotta: de én nem menekűlhetek a hegyre, nehogy utólérjen a veszedelem, és meghaljak.

Behold now, thy servant hath found grace in thy sight, and thou hast magnified thy mercy, which thou hast shewed unto me in saving my life; and I cannot escape to the mountain, lest some evil take me, and I die:

Iată că am căpătat trecere înaintea Ta şi ai arătat mare îndurare faţă de mine, păstrându-mi viaţa; dar nu pot să fug la munte înainte ca să mă atingă prăpădul, şi voi pieri.

Behold, your servant has found favor in your sight, and you have shown me great kindness in saving my life. But I cannot escape to the hills, lest the disaster overtake me and I die.

Ímhol a közelben van egy városka, hadd meneküljek oda; lám, kicsiny az, ott én életben maradok.

Ímhol az a város közel van, hogy oda fussak, kicsiny is, hadd menekűljek kérlek oda, lám kicsiny az; és én életben maradok.

Behold now, this city is near to flee unto, and it is a little one: Oh, let me escape thither, (is it not a little one?) and my soul shall live.

Iată, cetatea aceasta este destul de aproape ca să fug în ea şi este mică. O! de aş putea să fug acolo… este aşa de mică… Şi să scap cu viaţă!”

Behold, this city is near enough to flee to, and it is a little one. Let me escape there—is it not a little one?—and my life will be saved!”

Mondta azért neki Isten: Ím, rád tekintek e dologban is, és nem pusztítom el azt a várost, amelyről szóltál.

Monda azért néki: Ím tekintek rád e dologban is, és nem pusztítom el a várost, a melyről szólottál.

And he said unto him, See, I have accepted thee concerning this thing also, that I will not overthrow this city, for the which thou hast spoken.

Şi El i-a zis: „Iată că-ţi fac şi hatârul acesta şi nu voi nimici cetatea de care vorbeşti.

He said to him, “Behold, I grant you this favor also, that I will not overthrow the city of which you have spoken.

De siess, menekülj oda, mert semmit sem tehetek addig, amíg oda nem érsz. Azért nevezték el azt a várost Cóarnak.

Haste thee, escape thither; for I cannot do anything till thou be come thither. Therefore the name of the city was called Zoar.

Grăbeşte-te de fugi în ea, căci nu pot face nimic până nu vei ajunge acolo.” Pentru aceea s-a pus cetăţii aceleia numele Ţoar.

Escape there quickly, for I can do nothing till you arrive there.” Therefore the name of the city was called Zoar.

A nap már feljött a földre, mikor Lót Cóarba ért.

A nap feljött vala a földre, mikor Lót Czóárba ére.

The sun was risen upon the earth when Lot entered into Zoar.

Răsărea soarele pe pământ când a intrat Lot în Ţoar.

The sun had risen on the earth when Lot came to Zoar.

Az ÚR pedig kénköves és tüzes esőt bocsátott az égből Sodomára és Gomorára.

És bocsáta az Úr Sodomára és Gomorára kénköves és tüzes esőt az Úrtól az égből.

Then the LORD rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the LORD out of heaven;

Atunci Domnul a făcut să plouă peste Sodoma şi peste Gomora pucioasă şi foc de la Domnul din cer.

Then the LORD rained on Sodom and Gomorrah sulfur and fire from the LORD out of heaven.

Elsüllyesztette azokat a városokat és azt az egész vidéket; és a városok minden lakosát és a föld növényeit is.

És elsűlyeszté ama városokat, és azt az egész vidéket, és a városok minden lakosait, és a föld növényeit is.

And he overthrew those cities, and all the plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew upon the ground.

A nimicit cu desăvârşire cetăţile acelea, toată câmpia şi pe toţi locuitorii cetăţilor şi tot ce creştea pe pământ.

And he overthrew those cities, and all the valley, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and what grew on the ground.

Lót felesége azonban hátratekintett, és sóbálvánnyá lett.

És hátra tekinte az ő felesége, és sóbálványnyá lőn.

But his wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt.

Nevasta lui Lot s-a uitat înapoi şi s-a prefăcut într-un stâlp de sare.

But Lot’s wife, behind him, looked back, and she became a pillar of salt.

Ábrahám pedig reggel arra a helyre indult, ahol annak előtte az ÚR színe előtt állt.

And Abraham gat up early in the morning to the place where he stood before the LORD:

Avraam s-a sculat a doua zi dis-de-dimineaţă şi s-a dus la locul unde stătuse înaintea Domnului.

And Abraham went early in the morning to the place where he had stood before the LORD.

Sodoma és Gomora felé tekintett, és az egész környék földje felé. Látta, hogy íme, fölszáll a föld füstje, mint a kemence füstje.

És tekinte Sodoma és Gomora felé, és az egész környék földje felé; és látá, és ímé felszálla a földnek füstje, mint a kemencze füstje.

And he looked toward Sodom and Gomorrah, and toward all the land of the plain, and beheld, and, lo, the smoke of the country went up as the smoke of a furnace.

Şi-a îndreptat privirile spre Sodoma şi Gomora şi spre toată câmpia; şi iată că a văzut ridicându-se de pe pământ un fum, ca fumul unui cuptor.

And he looked down toward Sodom and Gomorrah and toward all the land of the valley, and he looked and, behold, the smoke of the land went up like the smoke of a furnace.

De amikor elvesztette Isten annak a környéknek a városait, megemlékezett Ábrahámról, és kiküldte Lótot a veszedelemből, amikor elsüllyesztette a városokat, amelyekben Lót lakott.

És lőn mikor elveszté Isten annak a környéknek városait, megemlékezék az Isten Ábrahámról, és kiküldé Lótot a veszedelemből, mikor elsűlyeszté a városokat, a melyekben lakott vala Lót.

And it came to pass, when God destroyed the cities of the plain, that God remembered Abraham, and sent Lot out of the midst of the overthrow, when he overthrew the cities in the which Lot dwelt.

Când a nimicit Dumnezeu cetăţile câmpiei, Şi-a adus aminte de Avraam; şi a scăpat pe Lot din mijlocul prăpădului prin care a surpat din temelie cetăţile unde îşi aşezase Lot locuinţa.

So it was that, when God destroyed the cities of the valley, God remembered Abraham and sent Lot out of the midst of the overthrow when he overthrew the cities in which Lot had lived.

Lót pedig fölment Cóarból, és letelepedett a hegyen, és vele együtt két leánya is, mert félt Cóarban lakni. Egy barlangban lakott tehát két leányával.

Lót pedig felméne Czóárból, és letelepedék a hegyen, és vele együtt az ő két leánya is, mert fél vala Czóárban lakni; lakozék tehát egy barlangban ő és az ő két leánya.

And Lot went up out of Zoar, and dwelt in the mountain, and his two daughters with him; for he feared to dwell in Zoar: and he dwelt in a cave, he and his two daughters.

Lot a ieşit din Ţoar şi a rămas pe munte, cu cele două fete ale lui, căci s-a temut să rămână în Ţoar. A locuit într-o peşteră, cu cele două fete ale lui.

Now Lot went up out of Zoar and lived in the hills with his two daughters, for he was afraid to live in Zoar. So he lived in a cave with his two daughters.

Azt mondta egyszer a nagyobbik a kisebbiknek: Apánk megöregedett, és nincs a földön férfi, aki bejöhetne hozzánk az egész föld szokása szerint.

És monda a nagyobbik a kisebbiknek: A mi atyánk megvénhedett, és nincsen a földön férfiú, a ki mi hozzánk bejöhetne az egész föld szokása szerint.

And the firstborn said unto the younger, Our father is old, and there is not a man in the earth to come in unto us after the manner of all the earth:

Cea mai mare a zis celei mai tinere: „Tatăl nostru este bătrân; şi nu mai este niciun bărbat în ţinutul acesta, ca să intre la noi, după obiceiul tuturor ţărilor.

And the firstborn said to the younger, “Our father is old, and there is not a man on earth to come in to us after the manner of all the earth.

Jer, adjunk bort inni apánknak, háljunk vele, és támasszunk magot a mi apánktól.

Jer, adjunk bort inni a mi atyánknak, és háljunk ő vele, és támaszszunk magot a mi atyánktól.

Come, let us make our father drink wine, and we will lie with him, that we may preserve seed of our father.

Vino să punem pe tatăl nostru să bea vin şi să ne culcăm cu el, ca să ne păstrăm sămânţa prin tatăl nostru.”

Come, let us make our father drink wine, and we will lie with him, that we may preserve offspring from our father.”

Bort adtak tehát inni apjuknak azon az éjszakán, és bement a nagyobbik, és az apjával hált. Ő pedig semmit sem tudott, sem lánya lefekvéséről, sem fölkeléséről.

Adának azért inni bort az ő atyjoknak azon éjszaka, és beméne a nagyobbik, és hála az ő atyjával, ez pedig semmit sem tuda annak sem lefekvéséről, sem fölkeléséről.

And they made their father drink wine that night: and the firstborn went in, and lay with her father; and he perceived not when she lay down, nor when she arose.

Au făcut, dar, pe tatăl lor de a băut vin în noaptea aceea; şi cea mai mare s-a dus şi s-a culcat cu tatăl ei. El n-a băgat de seamă nici când s-a culcat ea, nici când s-a sculat.

So they made their father drink wine that night. And the firstborn went in and lay with her father. He did not know when she lay down or when she arose.

Másnap a nagyobbik a kisebbiknek azt mondta: Íme, a múlt éjjel én háltam apámmal, adjunk neki bort inni ez éjjel is, és menj be te, hálj vele, és támasszunk magot a mi apánktól.

És lőn másodnapon, monda a nagyobbik a kisebbiknek: Ímé a mult éjjel én háltam atyámmal, adjunk néki bort inni ez éjjel is, és menj be te, hálj vele, és támaszszunk magot a mi atyánktól.

The next day, the firstborn said to the younger, “Behold, I lay last night with my father. Let us make him drink wine tonight also. Then you go in and lie with him, that we may preserve offspring from our father.”

Azon az éjszakán is adtak bort az apjuknak, és fölkelt a kisebbik is, és vele hált. Ő pedig semmit sem tudott, sem annak lefekvéséről, sem fölkeléséről.

Adának azért azon éjszaka is az ő atyjoknak bort inni, és felkele a kisebbik is és vele hála; ő pedig semmit sem tuda annak sem lefekvéséről, sem fölkeléséről.

And they made their father drink wine that night also: and the younger arose, and lay with him; and he perceived not when she lay down, nor when she arose.
