Fiam! Ha megfogadod beszédeimet, és parancsaimat magadba zárod;

Fiam! ha beveszed az én beszédimet, és az én parancsolatimat elrejted magadnál,

My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee;

Fiule, dacă vei primi cuvintele mele, dacă vei păstra cu tine învăţăturile mele,

My son, if you receive my words and treasure up my commandments with you,

ha füled figyel a bölcsességre, és megértésre hajlik a szíved;

Ha figyelmeztetvén a bölcsességre a te füleidet, hajtod a te elmédet az értelemre,

So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding;

dacă vei lua aminte la înţelepciune şi dacă-ţi vei pleca inima la pricepere;

making your ear attentive to wisdom and inclining your heart to understanding;

igen, ha bölcsességért kiáltasz, és értelemért emeled föl szavad;

Igen, ha a bölcseségért kiáltasz, és az értelemért a te szódat felemeled,

Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding;

dacă vei cere înţelepciune şi dacă te vei ruga pentru pricepere,

yes, if you call out for insight and raise your voice for understanding,

ha keresed azt, mint az ezüstöt, és mint a kincseket kutatod,

Ha keresed azt, mint az ezüstöt, és mint a kincseket kutatod azt:

If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures;

dacă o vei căuta ca argintul şi vei umbla după ea ca după o comoară,

if you seek it like silver and search for it as for hidden treasures,

akkor megérted az ÚR félelmét, és eljutsz Isten ismeretére.

Akkor megérted az Úrnak félelmét, és az Istennek ismeretére jutsz.

Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God.

atunci vei înţelege frica de Domnul şi vei găsi cunoştinţa lui Dumnezeu.

then you will understand the fear of the LORD and find the knowledge of God.

Mert az ÚR ad bölcsességet, szájából ismeret és értelem származik.

Mert az Úr ád bölcseséget, az ő szájából tudomány és értelem [származik.]

For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.

Căci Domnul dă înţelepciune; din gura Lui iese cunoştinţă şi pricepere.

For the LORD gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding;

Az igazaknak valóságos jót tartogat, pajzsot a feddhetetlenül járóknak,

Az igazaknak valóságos jót rejteget, paizst a tökéletesen járóknak,

He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly.

El dă izbândă celor fără prihană, dă un scut celor ce umblă în nevinovăţie.

he stores up sound wisdom for the upright; he is a shield to those who walk in integrity,

hogy megőrizze az igazság útjait, és kegyeseinek útját megóvja.

Hogy megőrizze az igazságnak útait, és kegyeseinek útját megtartja.

He keepeth the paths of judgment, and preserveth the way of his saints.

Ocroteşte cărările neprihănirii, şi păzeşte calea credincioşilor Lui.

guarding the paths of justice and watching over the way of his saints.

Akkor majd megérted, mi az igazság, a törvény, a becsületesség, és meglátod, hogy melyik a helyes út.

Akkor megérted az igazságot, és törvényt és becsületességet, és minden jó útat.

Then shalt thou understand righteousness, and judgment, and equity; yea, every good path.

Atunci vei înţelege dreptatea, judecata, nepărtinirea, toate căile care duc la bine.

Then you will understand righteousness and justice and equity, every good path;

Mert bölcsesség hatol szívedbe, és az ismeret gyönyörűséges lesz a lelkednek.

Mert bölcseség megy a te elmédbe, és a tudomány a te lelkedben gyönyörűséges lesz.

When wisdom entereth into thine heart, and knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul;

Căci înţelepciunea va veni în inima ta, şi cunoştinţa va fi desfătarea sufletului tău;

for wisdom will come into your heart, and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul;

Megfontoltság őrködik fölötted, értelem őriz téged,

Meggondolás őrködik feletted, értelem őriz téged,

Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee:

chibzuinţa va veghea asupra ta, priceperea te va păzi,

discretion will watch over you, understanding will guard you,

hogy megmentsen a gonosz úttól és a gonoszságot szóló emberektől,

Hogy megszabadítson téged a gonosznak útától, és a gonoszságszóló férfiútól;

To deliver thee from the way of the evil man, from the man that speaketh froward things;

ca să te scape de calea cea rea, de omul care ţine cuvântări stricate;

delivering you from the way of evil, from men of perverted speech,

akik elhagyják az egyenes utat, hogy a sötétség útjain járjanak.

A kik elhagyják az igazságnak útát, hogy járjanak a setétségnek útain.

Who leave the paths of uprightness, to walk in the ways of darkness;

de cei ce părăsesc cărările adevărate ca să umble pe drumuri întunecoase;

who forsake the paths of uprightness to walk in the ways of darkness,

Akik örülnek, ha gonoszul cselekszenek, vigadnak a gonosz álnokságokon.

A kik örülnek gonoszt cselekedvén, vígadnak a gonosz álnokságokon.

Who rejoice to do evil, and delight in the frowardness of the wicked;

care se bucură să facă răul şi îşi pun plăcerea în răutate,

who rejoice in doing evil and delight in the perverseness of evil,

Akiknek görbék az ösvényeik, és gonoszak az útjaik.

A kiknek ösvényeik görbék, és a kik az ő útaikban gonoszok.

Whose ways are crooked, and they froward in their paths:

care umblă pe cărări strâmbe şi apucă pe drumuri sucite;

men whose paths are crooked, and who are devious in their ways.

A bölcsesség megszabadít a nem hozzád tartozó asszonytól, a beszédével hízelkedő idegentől,

Hogy megszabadítson téged a nem hozzád tartozó asszonytól, az idegentől, a ki az ő beszédével hizelkedik,

To deliver thee from the strange woman, even from the stranger which flattereth with her words;

ca să te scape şi de nevasta altuia, de străina care întrebuinţează vorbe ademenitoare,

So you will be delivered from the forbidden woman, from the adulteress with her smooth words,

aki elhagyta ifjúságának férjét, és Isten előtt kötött szövetségéről elfelejtkezett.

A ki elhagyja az ő ifjúságának férjét, és az ő Istenének szövetségéről elfelejtkezik;

Which forsaketh the guide of her youth, and forgetteth the covenant of her God.

care părăseşte pe bărbatul tinereţii ei şi uită legământul Dumnezeului ei.

who forsakes the companion of her youth and forgets the covenant of her God;

Mert a halálba hanyatlik a háza, és ösvényei az élet nélkül valókhoz vezetnek.

Mert a halálra hanyatlik az ő háza, és az ő ösvényei az élet nélkül valókhoz.

For her house inclineth unto death, and her paths unto the dead.

Căci casa ei coboară la moarte, şi drumul ei duce la cei morţi:

for her house sinks down to death, and her paths to the departed;

Aki bemegy hozzá, nem tér vissza, és nem talál rá az élet útjaira.

Valakik mennek ahhoz, nem térnek meg, sem meg nem nyerhetik az életnek útait.

None that go unto her return again, neither take they hold of the paths of life.

niciunul care se duce la ea nu se mai întoarce şi nu mai găseşte cărările vieţii.

none who go to her come back, nor do they regain the paths of life.

Ezért te a jók útján járj, és az igazak ösvényeit kövesd!

Hogy járj a jóknak útjokon, és az igazaknak ösvényeit kövessed.

That thou mayest walk in the way of good men, and keep the paths of the righteous.

De aceea, tu să umbli pe calea oamenilor de bine şi să ţii cărările celor neprihăniţi!

So you will walk in the way of the good and keep to the paths of the righteous.

Mert az igazak lakják a földet, és a feddhetetlenek maradnak meg rajta.

Mert az igazak lakják a földet, és a tökéletesek maradnak meg rajta.

For the upright shall dwell in the land, and the perfect shall remain in it.

Căci oamenii fără prihană vor locui ţara, şi oamenii neîntinaţi vor rămâne în ea;

For the upright will inhabit the land, and those with integrity will remain in it,

A gonoszok pedig kivesznek a földről, és a hitetlenül élőket kiszaggatják belőle.

A gonoszok pedig a földről kivágattatnak, és a hitetlenül cselekedők kiszaggattatnak abból.

But the wicked shall be cut off from the earth, and the transgressors shall be rooted out of it.

dar cei răi vor fi nimiciţi din ţară, şi cei necredincioşi vor fi smulşi din ea.

but the wicked will be cut off from the land, and the treacherous will be rooted out of it.
