Ha visszatérsz, Izráel – ezt mondja az ÚR –, hozzám térj vissza! Ha eltávolítod előlem utálatosságaidat, nem ingadozol,

Ha visszatérsz, Izráel, ezt mondja az Úr, hozzám térj vissza, és ha eltávolítod a te útálatosságaidat előlem és nem ingadozol;

If thou wilt return, O Israel, saith the LORD, return unto me: and if thou wilt put away thine abominations out of my sight, then shalt thou not remove.

„Israele, de te vei întoarce, dacă te vei întoarce la Mine, zice Domnul, dacă vei scoate urâciunile tale dinaintea Mea, nu vei mai rătăci.

“If you return, O Israel, declares the LORD, to me you should return. If you remove your detestable things from my presence, and do not waver,

hűségben, egyenességben és igazságban így esküszöl: „Él az ÚR!”, akkor őbenne áldottak lesznek a nemzetek, és vele dicsekszenek.

És [így] esküszöl: Él az Úr! hűségben, egyenességben és igazságban: akkor ő benne áldják majd magokat a nemzetek, és benne dicsekesznek.

And thou shalt swear, The LORD liveth, in truth, in judgment, and in righteousness; and the nations shall bless themselves in him, and in him shall they glory.

Dacă vei jura: „Viu este Domnul!” cu adevăr, cu neprihănire şi cu dreptate, atunci neamurile vor fi binecuvântate în El şi se vor făli cu El.

and if you swear, ‘As the LORD lives,’ in truth, in justice, and in righteousness, then nations shall bless themselves in him, and in him shall they glory.”

Mert azt mondja az ÚR Júda és Jeruzsálem férfiainak: Szántsatok magatoknak új ugart, és ne vessetek tövisek közé!

For thus saith the LORD to the men of Judah and Jerusalem, Break up your fallow ground, and sow not among thorns.

Căci aşa vorbeşte Domnul către oamenii din Iuda şi din Ierusalim: „Desţeleniţi-vă un ogor nou şi nu semănaţi între spini!

For thus says the LORD to the men of Judah and Jerusalem: “Break up your fallow ground, and sow not among thorns.

Metéljétek körül magatokat az ÚRnak, és távolítsátok el szívetek előbőrét, Júda férfiai és Jeruzsálem lakosai, hogy föl ne gyulladjon haragom, mint a tűz, és ne égjen olthatatlanul gonosz cselekedeteitek miatt.

Metéljétek magatokat körül az Úrnak, és távolítsátok el szívetek előbőreit, Júda férfiai és Jeruzsálem lakosai, hogy fel ne gyúladjon az én haragom, mint a tűz, és olthatatlanul ne égjen a ti cselekedeteitek gonoszsága miatt.

Circumcise yourselves to the LORD, and take away the foreskins of your heart, ye men of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem: lest my fury come forth like fire, and burn that none can quench it, because of the evil of your doings.

Tăiaţi-vă împrejur pentru Domnul, tăiaţi-vă împrejur inimile, oamenii lui Iuda şi locuitori ai Ierusalimului, ca nu cumva să izbucnească mânia Mea ca un foc şi să se aprindă fără să se poată stinge, din pricina răutăţii faptelor voastre!

Circumcise yourselves to the LORD; remove the foreskin of your hearts, O men of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem; lest my wrath go forth like fire, and burn with none to quench it, because of the evil of your deeds.”

Adjátok hírül Júdában, hirdessétek Jeruzsálemben, és mondjátok: Kürtöljétek szét az országban! Kiáltsátok teljes erővel, és mondjátok: Gyülekezzetek, és menjünk az erődített városokba!

Adjátok hírül Júdában, és hallassátok Jeruzsálemben és mondjátok, és kürtöljétek az országban; kiáltsátok teljes erővel, és mondjátok: Gyűljetek össze és menjünk be az erősített városokba!

Declare ye in Judah, and publish in Jerusalem; and say, Blow ye the trumpet in the land: cry, gather together, and say, Assemble yourselves, and let us go into the defenced cities.

Daţi de ştire în Iuda, vestiţi la Ierusalim şi spuneţi: „Sunaţi din trâmbiţă în ţară! Strigaţi în gura mare şi ziceţi: „Strângeţi-vă şi haidem în cetăţile întărite!”

Declare in Judah, and proclaim in Jerusalem, and say, “Blow the trumpet through the land; cry aloud and say, ‘Assemble, and let us go into the fortified cities!’

Mutassatok jelet Sion felé! Fussatok, meg ne álljatok, mert veszedelmet hozok észak felől és nagy romlást!

Emeljetek zászlót a Sion felé; fussatok, meg ne álljatok, mert veszedelmet hozok észak felől és nagy romlást!

Set up the standard toward Zion: retire, stay not: for I will bring evil from the north, and a great destruction.

Înălţaţi un steag spre Sion, fugiţi şi nu vă opriţi! Căci de la miazănoapte aduc nenorocirea şi un mare prăpăd.”

Raise a standard toward Zion, flee for safety, stay not, for I bring disaster from the north, and great destruction.

Fölkelt az oroszlán a rejtekéből, elindult a népek pusztítója. Kijött a helyéről, hogy elpusztítsa földedet. Városaidat lerombolják, lakatlanná lesznek.

Felkelt az oroszlán az ő tanyájából, és a népek pusztítója elindult; kijött helyéből, hogy elpusztítsa a te földedet; városaid lerontatnak, lakatlanokká lesznek.

The lion is come up from his thicket, and the destroyer of the Gentiles is on his way; he is gone forth from his place to make thy land desolate; and thy cities shall be laid waste, without an inhabitant.

Leul se aruncă din tufarul său, nimicitorul neamurilor a pornit, şi-a părăsit locul ca să-ţi pustiască ţara, să-ţi dărâme cetăţile, şi nimeni să nu mai locuiască în ele.

A lion has gone up from his thicket, a destroyer of nations has set out; he has gone out from his place to make your land a waste; your cities will be ruins without inhabitant.

Öltözzetek zsákruhába, sírjatok és jajgassatok, mert nem fordult el rólunk az ÚR haragjának tüze!

Öltözzetek azért gyászba, sírjatok és jajgassatok, mert az Úr haragjának tüze nem távozott el rólunk!

For this gird you with sackcloth, lament and howl: for the fierce anger of the LORD is not turned back from us.

De aceea acoperiţi-vă cu saci, plângeţi şi gemeţi; căci mânia aprinsă a Domnului nu se abate de la noi.

For this put on sackcloth, lament and wail, for the fierce anger of the LORD has not turned back from us.”

Azon a napon – ezt mondja az ÚR – elvész a király bátorsága és a főemberek bátorsága, a papok elámulnak, és a próféták elcsodálkoznak.

Azon a napon pedig, ezt mondja az Úr, elvész a király bátorsága és a főemberek bátorsága, és a papok elálmélkodnak, és a próféták elcsodálkoznak.

And it shall come to pass at that day, saith the LORD, that the heart of the king shall perish, and the heart of the princes; and the priests shall be astonished, and the prophets shall wonder.

„În ziua aceea, zice Domnul, împăratul şi căpeteniile îşi vor pierde inima, preoţii vor rămâne încremeniţi, şi prorocii, uimiţi.”

“In that day, declares the LORD, courage shall fail both king and officials. The priests shall be appalled and the prophets astounded.”

Én pedig azt mondom: Ó, URam, Istenem! Bizony igen megcsaltad ezt a népet és Jeruzsálemet, amikor ezt mondtad: „Békességetek lesz!”, holott lelkünkig hatolt a kard.

Én pedig ezt mondom: Oh Uram Isten! Bizony igen megcsaltad ezt a népet, és Jeruzsálemet, ezt mondván: Békességtek lesz! holott a szablya lelkünkig hatott.

Then said I, Ah, Lord GOD! surely thou hast greatly deceived this people and Jerusalem, saying, Ye shall have peace; whereas the sword reacheth unto the soul.

Eu am zis: „Ah! Doamne Dumnezeule! Ai înşelat în adevăr pe poporul acesta şi Ierusalimul, când ai zis: „Veţi avea pace!”, şi totuşi sabia le ameninţă viaţa.”

Then I said, “Ah, Lord GOD, surely you have utterly deceived this people and Jerusalem, saying, ‘It shall be well with you,’ whereas the sword has reached their very life.”

Abban az időben azt mondják majd e népnek és Jeruzsálemnek: Tikkasztó szél fúj a magaslatok felől a pusztában népem leányának útjára; nem gabonaszóráshoz és tisztításhoz való!

Abban az időben azt mondják e népnek és Jeruzsálemnek: Száraztó szél [jő] a magas helyekről a pusztában, az én népem leányának útján; nem szóráshoz és nem tisztításhoz való!

At that time shall it be said to this people and to Jerusalem, A dry wind of the high places in the wilderness toward the daughter of my people, not to fan, nor to cleanse,

În vremea aceea se va zice poporului acestuia şi Ierusalimului: „Un vânt arzător suflă din locurile înalte ale pustiului pe drumul fiicei poporului Meu, nu ca să vânture, nici ca să cureţe grâul.

At that time it will be said to this people and to Jerusalem, “A hot wind from the bare heights in the desert toward the daughter of my people, not to winnow or cleanse,

Erősebb szél fúj annál, miattam érkezik, most én is ítéletet mondok fölöttük.

Erős szél jő onnan reám [is;] azért hát ítéletet mondok ellenök.

Even a full wind from those places shall come unto me: now also will I give sentence against them.

Ci un vânt năprasnic vine de acolo până la Mine! Acum le voi rosti hotărârea!”

a wind too full for this comes for me. Now it is I who speak in judgment upon them.”

Íme, úgy jön, mint a fellegek, szekerei olyanok, mint a szélvész, lovai gyorsabbak a sasoknál. Jaj nekünk, elvesztünk!

Ímé! úgy jő fel, mint a felleg, és szekerei olyanok, mint a szélvész, lovai gyorsabbak a saskeselyűknél. Jaj nékünk, mert elvesztünk!

Behold, he shall come up as clouds, and his chariots shall be as a whirlwind: his horses are swifter than eagles. Woe unto us! for we are spoiled.

Iată, nimicitorul înaintează ca norii; carele lui sunt ca un vârtej, caii lui sunt mai uşori decât vulturii. Vai de noi căci suntem prăpădiţi!” –

Behold, he comes up like clouds; his chariots like the whirlwind; his horses are swifter than eagles— woe to us, for we are ruined!

Jeruzsálem, tisztítsd meg szívedet a gonoszságtól, hogy megszabadulj! Meddig maradnak még benned bűnös gondolataid?

Jeruzsálem, tisztítsd meg szívedet a gonoszságtól, hogy megtartassál! Meddig maradnak még te benned a te bűnös gondolataid?

O Jerusalem, wash thine heart from wickedness, that thou mayest be saved. How long shall thy vain thoughts lodge within thee?

Curăţă-ţi inima de rău, Ierusalime, ca să fii mântuit! Până când vei păstra gânduri nelegiuite în inima ta?

O Jerusalem, wash your heart from evil, that you may be saved. How long shall your wicked thoughts lodge within you?

Hírmondó szava hangzik Dán felől és vészhirdetőé Efraim hegyéről.

Mert hírmondó szava hangzik Dán felől, és Efraim hegyéről vészhirdető.

For a voice declareth from Dan, and publisheth affliction from mount Ephraim.

Căci un glas care porneşte de la Dan şi vesteşte nenorocirea, o vesteşte de la muntele lui Efraim.

For a voice declares from Dan and proclaims trouble from Mount Ephraim.

Mondjátok meg a nemzeteknek, hirdessétek Jeruzsálemnek: Ostromlók jönnek messze földről, és kiáltoznak Júda városai ellen.

Mondjátok meg a nemzeteknek; nosza, hirdessétek Jeruzsálem ellen: Őrizők jönnek messze földről, és kiáltoznak Júda városai ellen.

Make ye mention to the nations; behold, publish against Jerusalem, that watchers come from a far country, and give out their voice against the cities of Judah.

„Spuneţi lucrul acesta neamurilor, faceţi-l cunoscut Ierusalimului: „Vin nişte împresurători dintr-o ţară depărtată şi strigă împotriva cetăţilor lui Iuda.

Warn the nations that he is coming; announce to Jerusalem, “Besiegers come from a distant land; they shout against the cities of Judah.

Mint mezőőrök, úgy fogják körül, mert pártot ütött ellenem – mondja az ÚR.

Mint a mezőnek őrizői, úgy lesznek ellene köröskörül, mert daczoskodott velem! mondja az Úr.

As keepers of a field, are they against her round about; because she hath been rebellious against me, saith the LORD.

Ca cei ce păzesc un ogor ei înconjoară Ierusalimul, căci s-a răzvrătit împotriva Mea, zice Domnul. –

Like keepers of a field are they against her all around, because she has rebelled against me, declares the LORD.

Magaviseleted és cselekedeteid okozták ezt neked. A te gonoszságod bizony keserű, egészen szívedig ér.

A te magad viselete és a te cselekedeteid szerezték ezeket néked; ez a gonoszságod bizony keserű, bizony egész a szívedig hatott!

Thy way and thy doings have procured these things unto thee; this is thy wickedness, because it is bitter, because it reacheth unto thine heart.

Acesta este rodul căilor şi faptelor tale, este vina răutăţii tale, dacă este aşa de amar şi te pătrunde până la inimă.”

Your ways and your deeds have brought this upon you. This is your doom, and it is bitter; it has reached your very heart.”

Ó, én bensőm, ó, én bensőm! Elszorulnak szívem rekeszei! Háborog a szívem, nem hallgathatok! Hiszen kürtszót hall a lelkem, harci riadót!

Oh én belsőm, oh én belsőm! Aléldozom, oh én szívemnek rekeszei! Háborog a szívem, nem hallgathatok! Hiszen hallottad én lelkem a kürt szavát, a harczi riadót!

My bowels, my bowels! I am pained at my very heart; my heart maketh a noise in me; I cannot hold my peace, because thou hast heard, O my soul, the sound of the trumpet, the alarm of war.

Măruntaiele mele! Măruntaiele mele! Cum mă doare înăuntrul inimii mele! Îmi bate inima, nu pot să tac! Căci auzi, suflete, sunetul trâmbiţei şi strigătul de război.

My anguish, my anguish! I writhe in pain! Oh the walls of my heart! My heart is beating wildly; I cannot keep silent, for I hear the sound of the trumpet, the alarm of war.

Vészre vészt jelentenek, bizony elpusztul az egész föld. Hirtelen pusztulnak el sátraim, sátorponyváim egy szempillantás alatt!

Vészre vészt jelentenek; bizony elpusztul az egész föld, nagy hamarsággal elpusztulnak az én sátraim, kárpitjaim egy pillantás alatt!

Destruction upon destruction is cried; for the whole land is spoiled: suddenly are my tents spoiled, and my curtains in a moment.

Se vesteşte dărâmare peste dărâmare, căci toată ţara este pustiită; colibele îmi sunt pustiite deodată, şi corturile, într-o clipă!

Crash follows hard on crash; the whole land is laid waste. Suddenly my tents are laid waste, my curtains in a moment.

Meddig látok még hadi zászlót, és hallom a kürt szavát?

Meddig látok még [hadi] zászlót, [és] hallom a kürt szavát?

How long shall I see the standard, and hear the sound of the trumpet?

Până când voi vedea steagul fâlfâind şi voi auzi sunetul trâmbiţei? –

How long must I see the standard and hear the sound of the trumpet?

Bizony, bolond az én népem. Nem ismernek engem, balga fiak ők, nem értelmesek! Van eszük a gonoszra, de jót cselekedni nem tudnak!

Bizony bolond az én népem: engem nem ismernek, balgatag fiak ők, és nem értelmesek! Bölcsek ők a gonoszra, jót cselekedni pedig tudatlanok!

For my people is foolish, they have not known me; they are sottish children, and they have none understanding: they are wise to do evil, but to do good they have no knowledge.

„Căci poporul Meu este nebun, nu Mă cunoaşte; sunt nişte copii fără minte şi lipsiţi de pricepere; sunt meşteri să facă răul, dar nu ştiu să facă binele.” –

“For my people are foolish; they know me not; they are stupid children; they have no understanding. They are ‘wise’—in doing evil! But how to do good they know not.”

Látom a földet, íme, kietlen és puszta, és az eget, de nincs világossága!

Nézek a földre, de ímé kietlen és puszta; és az égre, de nincsen világossága!

I beheld the earth, and, lo, it was without form, and void; and the heavens, and they had no light.

Mă uit la pământ, şi iată că este pustiu şi gol; mă uit la ceruri, şi lumina lor a pierit!

I looked on the earth, and behold, it was without form and void; and to the heavens, and they had no light.

Látom a hegyeket, íme, megrendültek, és a halmok mind inognak!

Nézek a hegyekre is, ímé reszketnek; és a halmokra, de mind ingadoznak!

I beheld the mountains, and, lo, they trembled, and all the hills moved lightly.

Mă uit la munţi, şi iată că sunt zguduiţi; şi toate dealurile se clatină!

I looked on the mountains, and behold, they were quaking, and all the hills moved to and fro.

Látom, íme, egy ember sincs, és az égi madarak is mind elmenekültek.

Nézek és ímé egy ember sincsen; és az ég madarai is mind elmenekültek.

I beheld, and, lo, there was no man, and all the birds of the heavens were fled.

Mă uit, şi iată că nu este niciun om; şi toate păsările cerurilor au fugit!

I looked, and behold, there was no man, and all the birds of the air had fled.

Látom, íme, a bőven termő föld pusztává lett, és minden városa összeomlott az ÚR előtt, haragjának tüze előtt!

Nézek, és ímé a bő termő föld pusztává lőn; és minden városa összeomlott az Úr előtt, az ő haragjának tüze előtt!

I beheld, and, lo, the fruitful place was a wilderness, and all the cities thereof were broken down at the presence of the LORD, and by his fierce anger.

Mă uit, şi iată, Carmelul este un pustiu; şi toate cetăţile sale sunt nimicite înaintea Domnului şi înaintea mâniei Lui aprinse!

I looked, and behold, the fruitful land was a desert, and all its cities were laid in ruins before the LORD, before his fierce anger.

Bizony, azt mondja az ÚR: Pusztasággá lesz az egész ország, de még nem vetek véget neki.

Bizony ezt mondja az Úr: Pusztasággá lesz az egész ország, de nem vetem végét!

For thus hath the LORD said, The whole land shall be desolate; yet will I not make a full end.

Căci aşa vorbeşte Domnul: „Toată ţara va fi pustiită; dar nu o voi nimici de tot.

For thus says the LORD, “The whole land shall be a desolation; yet I will not make a full end.

Azért gyászol a föld, és elsötétedik odafenn az ég, mert szóltam, határoztam; nem bánom meg, és nem térek el attól.

Azért gyászol a föld, és homályosodik el oda fenn az ég, mert szólottam, határoztam, és meg nem bánom és el nem térek attól.

For this shall the earth mourn, and the heavens above be black; because I have spoken it, I have purposed it, and will not repent, neither will I turn back from it.

Din pricina aceasta, ţara este în jale, şi cerurile sus sunt întunecate; căci Eu am zis, am hotărât lucrul acesta şi nu-Mi pare rău de el, nu Mă voi întoarce.

“For this the earth shall mourn, and the heavens above be dark; for I have spoken; I have purposed; I have not relented, nor will I turn back.”

A lovasok és az íjászok kiáltozására menekül az egész város, menekülnek a sűrű erdőségekbe, és fölmásznak a sziklákra. Minden város elhagyottá lesz, egyetlen ember sem lakik bennük.

A lovasoknak és a kézíveseknek kiáltozása elől elfut minden város, elrejtőznek a sűrűségekbe, és felmásznak a sziklákra: minden város elhagyottá lett, és egyetlen ember sem lakik azokban.

The whole city shall flee for the noise of the horsemen and bowmen; they shall go into thickets, and climb up upon the rocks: every city shall be forsaken, and not a man dwell therein.

La vuietul călăreţilor şi arcaşilor, toate cetăţile fug; se ascund în păduri şi se suie pe stânci; toate cetăţile sunt părăsite, nu mai au locuitori.

At the noise of horseman and archer every city takes to flight; they enter thickets; they climb among rocks; all the cities are forsaken, and no man dwells in them.

És te, pusztulásra szánt, mit cselekszel akkor? Ha bíborba öltözöl is, ha arany ékszerekkel ékesíted is magadat, és ha festékkel mázolod is ki szemedet, hiába szépítgeted magadat! Szeretőid megvetettek téged, életedre törnek.

És te, elpusztult, mit cselekszel [akkor?] Ha bíborba öltözöl, ha arany kösöntyűkkel ékesíted magadat, és ha festékkel mázolod is ki szemeidet: hiába szépítgeted magadat! Megvetnek téged a szeretőid, életedre törnek.

And when thou art spoiled, what wilt thou do? Though thou clothest thyself with crimson, though thou deckest thee with ornaments of gold, though thou rentest thy face with painting, in vain shalt thou make thyself fair; thy lovers will despise thee, they will seek thy life.

Şi tu, pustiito, ce vei face? Te vei îmbrăca în cârmâz, te vei împodobi cu podoabe de aur, îţi vei sulemeni ochii; dar degeaba te vei înfrumuseţa: ibovnicii tăi te dispreţuiesc şi vor să-ţi ia viaţa.

And you, O desolate one, what do you mean that you dress in scarlet, that you adorn yourself with ornaments of gold, that you enlarge your eyes with paint? In vain you beautify yourself. Your lovers despise you; they seek your life.

Mert mintha vajúdó asszony hangját hallanám, az először szülő sikoltását, olyan Sion leányának hangja. Nyög, és kitárja kezeit: Jaj nekem, mert roskadozik lelkem a gyilkosok előtt!

Mert mintha vajudó asszony szavát hallanám, mintha az először szűlőnek sikoltozását: olyan Sion leányának hangja; nyög, csapkodja kezeit: Jaj nékem! mert roskadozik lelkem a gyilkosok előtt.

For I have heard a voice as of a woman in travail, and the anguish as of her that bringeth forth her first child, the voice of the daughter of Zion, that bewaileth herself, that spreadeth her hands, saying, Woe is me now! for my soul is wearied because of murderers.

Căci Eu aud nişte ţipete ca ale unei femei în chinurile naşterii, ţipete de durere ca la cea dintâi facere. Este glasul fiicei Sionului care suspină şi întinde mâinile zicând: „Nenorocita de mine! Mor din pricina ucigaşilor!”

For I heard a cry as of a woman in labor, anguish as of one giving birth to her first child, the cry of the daughter of Zion gasping for breath, stretching out her hands, “Woe is me! I am fainting before murderers.”
