Pashúr főpap, Immér fia, aki az ÚR házának felügyelője volt, meghallotta, amint Jeremiás ezeket a szavakat prófétálta.

És hallá Passúr a pap, az Immár fia (ő pedig fejedelem vala az Úr házában), Jeremiást, a mint e szókat prófétálja vala:

Now Pashur the son of Immer the priest, who was also chief governor in the house of the LORD, heard that Jeremiah prophesied these things.

Paşhur, fiul lui Imer, preot şi priveghetor de căpetenie în Casa Domnului, a auzit pe Ieremia prorocind aceste lucruri.

Now Pashhur the priest, the son of Immer, who was chief officer in the house of the LORD, heard Jeremiah prophesying these things.

Ezért megverette Pashúr Jeremiás prófétát, és abba a kalodába záratta, amely a felső Benjámin-kapunál volt, az ÚR háza mellett.

És megcsapdosá Passúr Jeremiást a prófétát, és beveté őt a tömlöczbe, a mely a Benjámin felső kapujában vala, az Úr háza mellett.

Then Pashur smote Jeremiah the prophet, and put him in the stocks that were in the high gate of Benjamin, which was by the house of the LORD.

Şi Paşhur a lovit pe prorocul Ieremia şi l-a aruncat în temniţa cu butuci, care era la poarta de sus a lui Beniamin, în Casa Domnului.

Then Pashhur beat Jeremiah the prophet, and put him in the stocks that were in the upper Benjamin Gate of the house of the LORD.

Másnap, amikor Pashúr kiengedte Jeremiást a kalodából, azt mondta neki Jeremiás: Nem Pashúrnak nevez téged az ÚR, hanem így: Rettegés mindenütt.

És lőn másnap, hogy kivevé Passúr Jeremiást a tömlöczből, és monda néki Jeremiás: Nem Passúrnak nevezett téged az Úr, hanem Mágor Missábibnak;

And it came to pass on the morrow, that Pashur brought forth Jeremiah out of the stocks. Then said Jeremiah unto him, The LORD hath not called thy name Pashur, but Magormissabib.

Dar a doua zi, Paşhur a scos pe Ieremia din temniţă. Şi Ieremia i-a zis: „Domnul nu te mai numeşte Paşhur” ci Magor-Misabib.

The next day, when Pashhur released Jeremiah from the stocks, Jeremiah said to him, “The LORD does not call your name Pashhur, but Terror on Every Side.

Mert azt mondja az ÚR: Íme, rettegést keltek benned és minden barátodban, és elhullanak ellenségeik fegyvere által szemed láttára. Egész Júdát pedig a babilóni király kezébe adom, és fogságba viszi őket Babilónba, és fegyverrel vágatja le őket.

Mert ezt mondja az Úr: Ímé, én félelembe ejtelek téged és minden barátodat, és elhullanak az ő ellenségeik fegyvere által a szemeid láttára; az egész Júdát pedig odaadom a babiloni király kezébe, és elviszi őket Babilonba, és fegyverrel vágja le őket:

For thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will make thee a terror to thyself, and to all thy friends: and they shall fall by the sword of their enemies, and thine eyes shall behold it: and I will give all Judah into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall carry them captive into Babylon, and shall slay them with the sword.

Căci aşa vorbeşte Domnul: „Iată, te voi face de groază, pe tine şi pe toţi prietenii tăi; ei vor cădea ucişi de sabia vrăjmaşilor lor, şi ochii tăi vor vedea lucrul acesta. Voi da de asemenea pe tot Iuda în mâinile împăratului Babilonului, care-i va duce robi la Babilon şi-i va ucide cu sabia.

For thus says the LORD: Behold, I will make you a terror to yourself and to all your friends. They shall fall by the sword of their enemies while you look on. And I will give all Judah into the hand of the king of Babylon. He shall carry them captive to Babylon, and shall strike them down with the sword.

Kezébe adom e város minden vagyonát, minden szerzeményét és drágaságát; Júda királyainak minden kincsét is ellenségeik kezébe adom. Elrabolják, elhurcolják és Babilónba viszik azokat.

És odaadom e városnak minden vagyonát és minden keresményét, és minden drágaságát, és Júda királyainak minden kincsét odaadom az ő ellenségeik kezébe, és elrabolják, elhurczolják és Babilonba viszik azokat.

Moreover I will deliver all the strength of this city, and all the labours thereof, and all the precious things thereof, and all the treasures of the kings of Judah will I give into the hand of their enemies, which shall spoil them, and take them, and carry them to Babylon.

Toate bogăţiile cetăţii acesteia, tot rodul muncii ei, tot ce are ea mai scump şi toate vistieriile împăraţilor lui Iuda le voi da în mâinile vrăjmaşilor lor; aceştia le vor jefui, le vor lua şi le vor duce la Babilon.

Moreover, I will give all the wealth of the city, all its gains, all its prized belongings, and all the treasures of the kings of Judah into the hand of their enemies, who shall plunder them and seize them and carry them to Babylon.

Te pedig, Pashúr, és házad minden lakója, fogságba mész, Babilónba kerülsz. Ott halsz meg, és ott temetnek el téged és minden barátodat, akiknek hamisan prófétáltál.

Te pedig Passúr és a te házadnak minden lakosa, rabságba mentek, és Babilonba jutsz és ott halsz meg és ott temettetel el, te és minden barátod, a kiknek hamisan prófétáltál.

And thou, Pashur, and all that dwell in thine house shall go into captivity: and thou shalt come to Babylon, and there thou shalt die, and shalt be buried there, thou, and all thy friends, to whom thou hast prophesied lies.

Chiar şi tu, Paşhur, şi toţi cei ce locuiesc în casa ta veţi merge la Babilon în robie; acolo vei muri şi acolo vei fi îngropat, tu şi toţi prietenii tăi cărora le-ai prorocit minciuni.”

And you, Pashhur, and all who dwell in your house, shall go into captivity. To Babylon you shall go, and there you shall die, and there you shall be buried, you and all your friends, to whom you have prophesied falsely.”

Rávettél, URam, engem, és rávétettem, megragadtál engem, és legyőztél! Nevetségessé lettem, naphosszat mindenki engem csúfol.

Rávettél Uram engem és rávétettem, megragadtál engem és legyőztél! Nevetségessé lettem minden időre, mindenki csúfol engemet;

O LORD, thou hast deceived me, and I was deceived; thou art stronger than I, and hast prevailed: I am in derision daily, every one mocketh me.

M-ai înduplecat, Doamne, şi m-am lăsat înduplecat; ai fost mai tare decât mine şi m-ai biruit! În fiecare zi sunt o pricină de râs, toată lumea îşi bate joc de mine.

O LORD, you have deceived me, and I was deceived; you are stronger than I, and you have prevailed. I have become a laughingstock all the day; everyone mocks me.

Mert ahányszor csak megszólalok és kiáltozom, így kiáltok: Erőszak és romlás! Mert az ÚR szava mindig csak gyalázatomra és csúfságomra lett nekem.

Mert a hányszor csak szólok, kiáltozom; így kiáltok: erőszak és romlás! Mert az Úr szava mindenkori gyalázatomra és csúfságomra lett nékem.

For since I spake, I cried out, I cried violence and spoil; because the word of the LORD was made a reproach unto me, and a derision, daily.

Căci, ori de câte ori vorbesc, trebuie să strig: „Silnicie şi apăsare!”, aşa încât cuvântul Domnului îmi aduce numai ocară şi batjocură toată ziua.

For whenever I speak, I cry out, I shout, “Violence and destruction!” For the word of the LORD has become for me a reproach and derision all day long.

Ezért azt gondoltam: Nem emlékezem róla, és nem szólok többé az ő nevében. De mintha égő tűz volna szívemben, a csontjaimba rekesztve; erőlködöm, hogy elviseljem, de nem tehetem.

Azért azt mondom: Nem emlékezem róla, sem az ő nevében többé nem szólok; de mintha égő tűz volna szívemben, az én csontjaimba rekesztetve, és erőlködöm, hogy elviseljem azt, de nem tehetem.

Then I said, I will not make mention of him, nor speak any more in his name. But his word was in mine heart as a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I was weary with forbearing, and I could not stay.

Dacă zic: „Nu voi mai pomeni de El şi nu voi mai vorbi în Numele Lui!”, iată că în inima mea este ca un foc mistuitor închis în oasele mele. Caut să-l opresc, dar nu pot.

If I say, “I will not mention him, or speak any more in his name,” there is in my heart as it were a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I am weary with holding it in, and I cannot.

Mert hallom sokak suttogását, a rettenetet mindenfelől: Jelentsétek föl, és mi is följelentjük! Még azok is, akik barátaim, mindnyájan eltántorodásomra várnak, és azt mondják: Talán megbotlik, és megfoghatjuk őt, és bosszút állhatunk rajta.

Mert hallom sokak rágalmazását, a mindenfelől való fenyegetést: Jelentsétek fel és ezt mi is feljelentjük: mindazok is, a kik barátaim, az én tántorodásomra figyelmeznek, mondván: Talán megbotlik és megfoghatjuk őt, és bosszút állhatunk rajta;

For I heard the defaming of many, fear on every side. Report, say they, and we will report it. All my familiars watched for my halting, saying, Peradventure he will be enticed, and we shall prevail against him, and we shall take our revenge on him.

Căci aud vorbele rele ale multora, spaima care domneşte împrejur. – „Învinuiţi-l”, strigă ei; „haidem să-l învinuim!” Toţi cei ce trăiau în pace cu mine pândesc să vadă dacă mă clatin şi zic: „Poate că se va lăsa prins, vom pune mâna pe el şi ne vom răzbuna pe el!”

For I hear many whispering. Terror is on every side! “Denounce him! Let us denounce him!” say all my close friends, watching for my fall. “Perhaps he will be deceived; then we can overcome him and take our revenge on him.”

De az ÚR velem van, mint hatalmas hős; azért elesnek üldözőim, és nem bírnak velem. Igen megszégyenülnek, mert nem járnak sikerrel. Örök és felejthetetlen gyalázat lesz rajtuk.

De az Úr velem van, mint hatalmas hős, azért elesnek az én kergetőim és nem bírnak [velem,] igen megszégyenülnek, mert nem okosan cselekesznek: örökkévaló gyalázat lesz [rajtok] és felejthetetlen.

But the LORD is with me as a mighty terrible one: therefore my persecutors shall stumble, and they shall not prevail: they shall be greatly ashamed; for they shall not prosper: their everlasting confusion shall never be forgotten.

Dar Domnul este cu mine ca un viteaz puternic; de aceea, prigonitorii mei se vor poticni şi nu vor birui. Se vor umple de ruşine că n-au lucrat cu chibzuinţă: de o veşnică ruşine care nu se va uita!

But the LORD is with me as a dread warrior; therefore my persecutors will stumble; they will not overcome me. They will be greatly shamed, for they will not succeed. Their eternal dishonor will never be forgotten.

Azért, ó, Seregek URa, aki megpróbálod az igazat, belelátsz a vesékbe és a szívekbe, hadd lássam rajtuk büntetésedet, mert eléd tártam ügyemet!

Azért, oh Seregeknek Ura, a ki megpróbálod az igazat, látod a veséket és a szíveket, hadd lássam a te büntetésedet ő rajtok: mert néked jelentettem meg az én ügyemet!

But, O LORD of hosts, that triest the righteous, and seest the reins and the heart, let me see thy vengeance on them: for unto thee have I opened my cause.

Şi acum, Doamne Dumnezeul oştirilor care încerci pe cel neprihănit, care pătrunzi rinichii şi inimile, fă-mă să văd răzbunarea Ta împotriva lor! Căci Ţie îmi încredinţez pricina. –

O LORD of hosts, who tests the righteous, who sees the heart and the mind, let me see your vengeance upon them, for to you have I committed my cause.

Énekeljetek az ÚRnak, dicsérjétek az URat, mert megszabadítja a szegények lelkét a gonoszok kezéből.

Énekeljetek az Úrnak, dicsérjétek az Urat, mert a szegénynek lelkét megszabadítja a gonoszok kezéből.

Sing unto the LORD, praise ye the LORD: for he hath delivered the soul of the poor from the hand of evildoers.

Cântaţi Domnului, lăudaţi pe Domnul! Căci El izbăveşte sufletul celui nenorocit din mâna celor răi. –

Sing to the LORD; praise the LORD! For he has delivered the life of the needy from the hand of evildoers.

Átkozott az a nap, amelyen születtem; ne legyen áldott az a nap, amelyen anyám szült engem!

Átkozott az a nap, a melyen születtem; az a nap, a melyen anyám szűlt engem, ne legyen áldott!

Cursed be the day wherein I was born: let not the day wherein my mother bare me be blessed.

Blestemată să fie ziua când m-am născut! Ziua în care m-a născut mama să nu fie binecuvântată!

Cursed be the day on which I was born! The day when my mother bore me, let it not be blessed!

Átkozott az az ember, aki örömhírt vitt apámnak e szavakkal: „Fiúgyermeked született!”, és igen megörvendeztette őt.

Átkozott ember az, a ki örömhírt vitt az én atyámnak, mondván: Fiúmagzatod született néked, igen megörvendeztetvén őt.

Cursed be the man who brought tidings to my father, saying, A man child is born unto thee; making him very glad.

Blestemat să fie omul care a adus vestea aceasta tatălui meu: „Ţi s-a născut un copil de parte bărbătească” şi l-a umplut de bucurie cu ea!

Cursed be the man who brought the news to my father, “A son is born to you,” making him very glad.

Legyen az az ember olyan, mint azok a városok, amelyeket elveszített az ÚR, és nem bánta meg: reggel jajkiáltást halljon és délben harci riadót.

És legyen az az ember olyan, mint azok a városok, a melyeket elvesztett az Úr és meg nem bánta; és halljon reggel kiáltozást, és harczi riadót délben.

And let that man be as the cities which the LORD overthrew, and repented not: and let him hear the cry in the morning, and the shouting at noontide;

Omul acela să ajungă ca cetăţile pe care le-a nimicit Domnul fără milă! Să audă gemete dimineaţa şi strigăte de război la amiază!

Let that man be like the cities that the LORD overthrew without pity; let him hear a cry in the morning and an alarm at noon,

Miért nem öltek meg anyám méhében, hogy anyám teste lett volna a sírom, és méhe örökké terhes?

Hogy nem ölt meg engem az én anyám méhében, hogy az én anyám nékem koporsóm lett volna, és méhe soha sem szűlt volna!

Because he slew me not from the womb; or that my mother might have been my grave, and her womb to be always great with me.

De ce n-am fost omorât în pântecele mamei, ca să-mi fi fost ea mormântul meu? De ce n-a rămas ea veşnic însărcinată cu mine?

because he did not kill me in the womb; so my mother would have been my grave, and her womb forever great.

Miért is jöttem ki anyám méhéből, ha csak nyomorúságot látok és bánatot, és napjaim gyalázatban érnek véget?

Miért is jöttem ki az én anyámnak méhéből, hogy nyomorúságot lássak és bánatot, és hogy napjaim gyalázatban végződjenek?

Wherefore came I forth out of the womb to see labour and sorrow, that my days should be consumed with shame?

Pentru ce am ieşit din pântecele mamei ca să văd numai suferinţă şi durere şi să-mi isprăvesc zilele în ruşine?

Why did I come out from the womb to see toil and sorrow, and spend my days in shame?
