Meghallotta Sefatjá, Mattán fia és Gedaljá, Pashúr fia és Júkal, Selemjá fia és Pashúr, Malkijjá fia is azokat a szavakat, amelyeket Jeremiás mondott az egész népnek:

De meghallá Safátiás Mattánnak fia, és Gedáliás Passúrnak fia, és Jukál a Selémiás fia, és Passúr a Melékiás fia a szókat, a melyeket szólott vala Jeremiás az egész népnek, mondván:

Then Shephatiah the son of Mattan, and Gedaliah the son of Pashur, and Jucal the son of Shelemiah, and Pashur the son of Malchiah, heard the words that Jeremiah had spoken unto all the people, saying,

Şefatia, fiul lui Matan, Ghedalia, fiul lui Paşhur, Iucal, fiul lui Şelemia, şi Paşhur, fiul lui Malchia, au auzit cuvintele pe care le spunea Ieremia întregului popor zicând:

Now Shephatiah the son of Mattan, Gedaliah the son of Pashhur, Jucal the son of Shelemiah, and Pashhur the son of Malchiah heard the words that Jeremiah was saying to all the people:

Azt mondja az ÚR: Aki ebben a városban marad, meghal fegyver, éhínség és dögvész miatt; aki viszont kimegy a káldeusokhoz, életben marad, életét ajándékul kapja, és élni fog.

Ezt mondja az Úr: A ki megmarad e városban, meghal fegyver miatt, éhség miatt és döghalál miatt, a ki pedig kimegy a Káldeusokhoz, él, és az ő élete nyereség lesz néki és él.

Thus saith the LORD, He that remaineth in this city shall die by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence: but he that goeth forth to the Chaldeans shall live; for he shall have his life for a prey, and shall live.

Aşa vorbeşte Domnul: „Cine va rămâne în cetatea aceasta va muri ucis de sabie, de foamete sau de ciumă; dar cine va ieşi şi se va duce la haldei va scăpa cu viaţă, va avea ca pradă viaţa lui şi va trăi.”

“Thus says the LORD: He who stays in this city shall die by the sword, by famine, and by pestilence, but he who goes out to the Chaldeans shall live. He shall have his life as a prize of war, and live.

Így szól az ÚR: Bizonyosan a babilóni király seregének kezébe kerül ez a város, aki beveszi azt.

Ezt mondja az Úr: Bizonynyal a babiloni király seregének kezébe adatik e város, és beveszi azt.

Thus saith the LORD, This city shall surely be given into the hand of the king of Babylon's army, which shall take it.

Aşa vorbeşte Domnul: „Cetatea aceasta va fi dată în mâna oştirii împăratului Babilonului, şi o va lua!”

Thus says the LORD: This city shall surely be given into the hand of the army of the king of Babylon and be taken.”

Erre azt mondták a fejedelmek a királynak: Meg kell ölni ezt az embert, mert erőtlenné teszi a harcosok kezét, akik megmaradtak a városban, és az egész nép kezét, mivel efféle szavakat szól nekik. Mert ez az ember nem a nép megmaradására törekszik, hanem vesztére.

És mondának a fejedelmek a királynak: Kérünk, ölettesd meg ezt az embert, mert megerőtleníti a vitézek kezeit, a kik megmaradtak a városban, és az egész nép kezeit, hogy efféle szókat szól nékik, mert ez az ember nem a nép megmaradására igyekszik, hanem veszedelmére.

Therefore the princes said unto the king, We beseech thee, let this man be put to death: for thus he weakeneth the hands of the men of war that remain in this city, and the hands of all the people, in speaking such words unto them: for this man seeketh not the welfare of this people, but the hurt.

Atunci căpeteniile au zis împăratului: „Omul acesta ar trebui omorât! Căci înmoaie inima oamenilor de război care au mai rămas în cetatea aceasta şi a întregului popor ţinându-le asemenea cuvântări; omul acesta nu urmăreşte binele poporului acestuia şi nu-i vrea decât nenorocirea.”

Then the officials said to the king, “Let this man be put to death, for he is weakening the hands of the soldiers who are left in this city, and the hands of all the people, by speaking such words to them. For this man is not seeking the welfare of this people, but their harm.”

És Cidkijjá király így felelt: Íme, kezetekben van, hiszen a király semmit sem tehet ellenetekre.

És monda Sedékiás király: Ám a ti kezetekben van, mert a király semmit sem tehet ellenetekre.

Then Zedekiah the king said, Behold, he is in your hand: for the king is not he that can do any thing against you.

Împăratul Zedechia a răspuns: „Iată-l că este în mâinile voastre; căci împăratul nu poate nimic împotriva voastră!”

King Zedekiah said, “Behold, he is in your hands, for the king can do nothing against you.”

Ekkor fogták Jeremiást, hogy bevessék Malkijjá királyfi vermébe, amely a börtön udvarán volt; és köteleken lebocsátották Jeremiást, és mivel a veremben nem víz volt, hanem csak sár, belemerült Jeremiás a sárba.

Azért elvivék Jeremiást, hogy bevessék Melkiásnak, a Hammélek fiának vermébe, a mely a tömlöcz pitvarában vala; és lebocsáták Jeremiást köteleken; a veremben pedig nem víz vala, hanem sár, és beesék Jeremiás a sárba.

Then took they Jeremiah, and cast him into the dungeon of Malchiah the son of Hammelech, that was in the court of the prison: and they let down Jeremiah with cords. And in the dungeon there was no water, but mire: so Jeremiah sunk in the mire.

Atunci ei au luat pe Ieremia şi l-au aruncat în groapa lui Malchia, fiul împăratului, care se afla în curtea temniţei şi au coborât în ea pe Ieremia cu funii. În groapă nu era apă, dar era noroi; şi Ieremia s-a afundat în noroi.

So they took Jeremiah and cast him into the cistern of Malchiah, the king’s son, which was in the court of the guard, letting Jeremiah down by ropes. And there was no water in the cistern, but only mud, and Jeremiah sank in the mud.

És meghallotta a kúsita Ebed-Melek, aki udvari szolga volt a király palotájában, hogy Jeremiást a verembe vetették; a király akkor éppen a Benjámin-kapuban volt.

És meghallotta Ebed-Melek, a szerecsen, a ki udvari szolga vala (ő pedig a király házában vala), hogy Jeremiást a verembe vetették, a király pedig a Benjámin-kapuban ül vala.

Now when Ebedmelech the Ethiopian, one of the eunuchs which was in the king's house, heard that they had put Jeremiah in the dungeon; the king then sitting in the gate of Benjamin;

Ebed-Melec, etiopianul, famen-dregător la curtea împăratului, a auzit că Ieremia fusese aruncat în groapă. Împăratul stătea la poarta lui Beniamin.

When Ebed-melech the Ethiopian, a eunuch who was in the king’s house, heard that they had put Jeremiah into the cistern—the king was sitting in the Benjamin Gate—

Kiment azért Ebed-Melek a király palotájából, és ezt mondta a királynak:

Kiméne azért Ebed-Melek a király házából, és szóla a királynak, mondván:

Ebedmelech went forth out of the king's house, and spake to the king saying,

Ebed-Melec a ieşit din casa împăratului şi a vorbit împăratului astfel:

Ebed-melech went from the king’s house and said to the king,

Uram, király! Gonoszul cselekedtek azok az emberek, amikor így tettek Jeremiás prófétával, és a verembe vetették; mert ott éhen hal, mert nem lesz ezután semmi kenyér e városban.

Uram, király! gonoszul cselekedtek azok az emberek mindazzal, a mit Jeremiás prófétával cselekedtek, a kik őt a verembe vetették; mert meghal ott éhen, mert nem lesz ezután semmi kenyér e városban.

My lord the king, these men have done evil in all that they have done to Jeremiah the prophet, whom they have cast into the dungeon; and he is like to die for hunger in the place where he is: for there is no more bread in the city.

„Împărate, domnul meu, oamenii aceştia au făcut rău de s-au purtat aşa cu prorocul Ieremia, aruncându-l în groapă; are să moară de foame acolo unde este, căci în cetate nu este pâine!”

“My lord the king, these men have done evil in all that they did to Jeremiah the prophet by casting him into the cistern, and he will die there of hunger, for there is no bread left in the city.”

Parancsot adott azért a király a kúsita EbedMeleknek, és azt mondta: Vigyél magaddal innen harminc embert, és húzd föl Jeremiás prófétát a veremből, mielőtt meghalna.

Parancsola azért a király Ebed-Meleknek, a szerecsennek, mondván: Végy magadhoz innét harmincz embert, és vedd fel Jeremiás prófétát a veremből, mielőtt meghalna.

Then the king commanded Ebedmelech the Ethiopian, saying, Take from hence thirty men with thee, and take up Jeremiah the prophet out of the dungeon, before he die.

Împăratul a dat următoarea poruncă lui Ebed-Melec, etiopianul: „Ia de aici treizeci de oameni cu tine şi scoate din groapă pe prorocul Ieremia, până nu moare!”

Then the king commanded Ebed-melech the Ethiopian, “Take thirty men with you from here, and lift Jeremiah the prophet out of the cistern before he dies.”

Magához vett tehát Ebed-Melek harminc embert, és bement a király palotájába, a kincstár alatti terembe, és hozott onnan elnyűtt ruhadarabokat és szakadozott posztókat, és leengedte azokat Jeremiásnak köteleken a verembe.

Vőn azért Ebed-Melek magához [harmincz] embert, és beméne a király házába, a kincstartó ház alá, és hoza onnét régi ruhadarabokat és elszakadozott posztókat, és alábocsátá azokat Jeremiásnak köteleken a verembe.

So Ebedmelech took the men with him, and went into the house of the king under the treasury, and took thence old cast clouts and old rotten rags, and let them down by cords into the dungeon to Jeremiah.

Ebed-Melec a luat cu el pe oamenii aceia şi s-a dus la casa împăratului, într-un loc dedesubtul vistieriei; a luat de acolo nişte petice de haine purtate şi nişte zdrenţe de haine vechi şi le-a coborât lui Ieremia în groapă cu nişte funii.

So Ebed-melech took the men with him and went to the house of the king, to a wardrobe in the storehouse, and took from there old rags and worn-out clothes, which he let down to Jeremiah in the cistern by ropes.

És azt mondta a kúsita Ebed-Melek Jeremiásnak: Tedd ezeket a régi és szakadozott ruhadarabokat a hónod alatt a kötelek alá! És Jeremiás úgy cselekedett.

És monda Ebed-Melek, a szerecsen, Jeremiásnak: Tedd a régi és elszakadozott ruhadarabokat hónod alá, a kötelek alá; és úgy cselekedék Jeremiás.

And Ebedmelech the Ethiopian said unto Jeremiah, Put now these old cast clouts and rotten rags under thine armholes under the cords. And Jeremiah did so.

Ebed-Melec, etiopianul, a zis lui Ieremia: „Pune aceste petice purtate şi aceste zdrenţe sub subsuori, sub funii.” Şi Ieremia a făcut aşa.

Then Ebed-melech the Ethiopian said to Jeremiah, “Put the rags and clothes between your armpits and the ropes.” Jeremiah did so.

Kihúzták tehát Jeremiást a köteleken, és fölhozták őt a veremből; ezután Jeremiás a börtön udvarában lakott.

Kivonták azért Jeremiást köteleken és kihozák őt a veremből, és lakék Jeremiás a tömlöcz pitvarában.

So they drew up Jeremiah with cords, and took him up out of the dungeon: and Jeremiah remained in the court of the prison.

Au tras astfel pe Ieremia cu funiile şi l-au scos afară din groapă. Ieremia a rămas în curtea temniţei.

Then they drew Jeremiah up with ropes and lifted him out of the cistern. And Jeremiah remained in the court of the guard.

Azután elküldött Cidkijjá király, és magához hozatta Jeremiás prófétát az ÚR házában lévő harmadik bejáratig, és azt mondta a király Jeremiásnak: Kérdezek tőled valamit, de ne titkolj el semmit előlem!

Elkülde pedig Sedékiás király, és magához hozatá Jeremiás prófétát a harmadik ajtóig, mely vala az Úrnak házában, és monda a király Jeremiásnak: Téged valamiről kérdelek, semmi tagadást benne ne tégy!

Then Zedekiah the king sent, and took Jeremiah the prophet unto him into the third entry that is in the house of the LORD: and the king said unto Jeremiah, I will ask thee a thing; hide nothing from me.

Împăratul Zedechia a trimis după prorocul Ieremia şi l-a adus la el la intrarea a treia a Casei Domnului. Şi împăratul a zis lui Ieremia: „Am să te întreb ceva, să nu-mi ascunzi nimic!”

King Zedekiah sent for Jeremiah the prophet and received him at the third entrance of the temple of the LORD. The king said to Jeremiah, “I will ask you a question; hide nothing from me.”

Jeremiás azt mondta Cidkijjának: Ha kijelentést közlök veled, te biztosan megöletsz engem. Ha pedig tanácsot adok, nem hallgatsz rám.

Monda pedig Jeremiás Sedékiásnak: Ha megjelentem néked, avagy nem bizonyosan megölsz-é engem? és ha tanácsot adok, nem hallgatsz rám.

Then Jeremiah said unto Zedekiah, If I declare it unto thee, wilt thou not surely put me to death? and if I give thee counsel, wilt thou not hearken unto me?

Ieremia a răspuns lui Zedechia: „Dacă ţi-l voi spune, mă vei omorî; iar dacă-ţi voi da un sfat, nu mă vei asculta.”

Jeremiah said to Zedekiah, “If I tell you, will you not surely put me to death? And if I give you counsel, you will not listen to me.”

Ekkor titkon megesküdött Jeremiásnak Cidkijjá király e szavakkal: Él az ÚR, aki lelket alkotott nekünk, hogy nem öletlek meg, és nem adlak azoknak az embereknek a kezébe, akik lelkedet keresik!

És megesküvék Sedékiás király Jeremiásnak titkon, mondván: Él az Úr, a ki teremtette nékünk e lelket, hogy nem öllek meg és nem adlak azoknak az embereknek kezébe, a kik keresik a te lelkedet!

So Zedekiah the king sware secretly unto Jeremiah, saying, As the LORD liveth, that made us this soul, I will not put thee to death, neither will I give thee into the hand of these men that seek thy life.

Împăratul Zedechia a jurat în taină lui Ieremia şi a zis: „Viu este Domnul care ne-a dat viaţa, că nu te voi omorî şi nu te voi lăsa în mâinile oamenilor acestora care vor să-ţi ia viaţa!”

Then King Zedekiah swore secretly to Jeremiah, “As the LORD lives, who made our souls, I will not put you to death or deliver you into the hand of these men who seek your life.”

Akkor ezt mondta Jeremiás Cidkijjának: Azt mondja az ÚR, a Seregek Istene, Izráel Istene: Ha kimész a babilóni király fejedelmeihez, életben marad a lelked, és nem ég el tűzben e város, hanem életben maradsz te és a házad népe.

Akkor monda Jeremiás Sedékiásnak: Ezt mondja az Úr, a Seregek Istene, az Izráel Istene: Ha kimégy a babiloni király fejedelmeihez, él a te lelked, és e város nem égettetik meg tűzzel, hanem élsz te és a te házad népe.

Then said Jeremiah unto Zedekiah, Thus saith the LORD, the God of hosts, the God of Israel; If thou wilt assuredly go forth unto the king of Babylon's princes, then thy soul shall live, and this city shall not be burned with fire; and thou shalt live, and thine house:

Ieremia a zis atunci lui Zedechia: „Aşa vorbeşte Domnul Dumnezeul oştirilor, Dumnezeul lui Israel: „Dacă te vei supune căpeteniilor împăratului Babilonului, vei scăpa cu viaţă, şi nici cetatea aceasta nu va fi arsă cu foc, iar tu vei trăi împreună cu casa ta.

Then Jeremiah said to Zedekiah, “Thus says the LORD, the God of hosts, the God of Israel: If you will surrender to the officials of the king of Babylon, then your life shall be spared, and this city shall not be burned with fire, and you and your house shall live.

Ha pedig nem mész ki a babilóni király fejedelmeihez, akkor ez a város a káldeusok kezébe adatik, fölégetik, és te sem menekülhetsz meg a kezükből.

Ha pedig nem mégy ki a babiloni király fejedelmeihez, akkor e város a Káldeusok kezébe adatik, felégetik ezt tűzzel, te sem szaladsz el kezökből.

But if thou wilt not go forth to the king of Babylon's princes, then shall this city be given into the hand of the Chaldeans, and they shall burn it with fire, and thou shalt not escape out of their hand.

Dar, dacă nu te vei supune căpeteniilor împăratului Babilonului, cetatea aceasta va fi dată în mâinile haldeilor, care o vor arde cu foc; iar tu nu vei scăpa din mâinile lor!”

But if you do not surrender to the officials of the king of Babylon, then this city shall be given into the hand of the Chaldeans, and they shall burn it with fire, and you shall not escape from their hand.”

Erre azt mondta Cidkijjá király Jeremiásnak: Félek a júdabeliektől, akik átszöktek a káldeusokhoz; hátha kezükbe adnak engem, és ők csúfot űznek belőlem!

Monda Sedékiás király Jeremiásnak: Félek én a Júdabeliektől, a kik átszöktek a Káldeusokhoz, hátha azok kezébe adnak engem, és csúfoskodnak rajtam!

And Zedekiah the king said unto Jeremiah, I am afraid of the Jews that are fallen to the Chaldeans, lest they deliver me into their hand, and they mock me.

Împăratul Zedechia a zis lui Ieremia: „Mă tem de iudeii care au trecut la haldei; mă tem să nu mă dea în mâinile lor şi să mă batjocorească.”

King Zedekiah said to Jeremiah, “I am afraid of the Judeans who have deserted to the Chaldeans, lest I be handed over to them and they deal cruelly with me.”

Azt mondta Jeremiás: Nem adnak! Hallgass az ÚR szavára, amelyet én mondok neked, akkor jó dolgod lesz, és élni fog a lelked!

És monda Jeremiás: Nem adnak; kérlek, halld meg az Úrnak szavát, a melyet én mondok néked, és jó dolgod lesz, és él a te lelked.

But Jeremiah said, They shall not deliver thee. Obey, I beseech thee, the voice of the LORD, which I speak unto thee: so it shall be well unto thee, and thy soul shall live.

Ieremia a răspuns: „Nu te vor da. Ascultă glasul Domnului în ce-ţi spun, căci o vei duce bine şi vei scăpa cu viaţă.

Jeremiah said, “You shall not be given to them. Obey now the voice of the LORD in what I say to you, and it shall be well with you, and your life shall be spared.

Ha pedig nem akarsz kimenni, az történik majd, amit megjelentett nekem az ÚR:

Ha pedig te kimenni nem akarsz: ez a szó, a melyet megjelentett nékem az Úr:

But if thou refuse to go forth, this is the word that the LORD hath shewed me:

Dar, dacă nu vrei să ieşi, iată ce mi-a descoperit Domnul:

But if you refuse to surrender, this is the vision which the LORD has shown to me:

Íme, kivisznek minden asszonyt, aki itt maradt Júda királyának palotájában, a babilóni király fejedelmeihez, és ezt mondják majd azok az asszonyok: Jóakaróid megcsaltak téged, és erőt vettek rajtad; s amikor lábad a sárba ragadt, ők visszafordultak.

Ímé, minden asszony, a ki megmaradt vala a Júda királyának házában, kivitetik a babiloni király fejedelmeihez; és ezt mondják azok, hogy megcsaltak téged és erőt vettek rajtad a te jóakaró embereid, a te lábaid [most] beragadtak a sárba, ők [pedig] visszafordultak.

And, behold, all the women that are left in the king of Judah's house shall be brought forth to the king of Babylon's princes, and those women shall say, Thy friends have set thee on, and have prevailed against thee: thy feet are sunk in the mire, and they are turned away back.

„Toate nevestele care au mai rămas în casa împăratului lui Iuda vor fi luate de căpeteniile împăratului Babilonului şi vor zice jelind: „Prietenii tăi cei buni te-au înşelat şi te-au înduplecat; dar, când ţi s-au afundat picioarele în noroi, ei au fugit!”

Behold, all the women left in the house of the king of Judah were being led out to the officials of the king of Babylon and were saying, “‘Your trusted friends have deceived you and prevailed against you; now that your feet are sunk in the mud, they turn away from you.’

És feleségeidet és gyermekeidet mind kiviszik a káldeusoknak, és te sem menekülsz meg a kezükből, hanem elfognak, és a babilóni király kezébe adnak. Ezt a várost pedig fölégetik.

Azért minden feleségedet és gyermekedet kiviszik a Káldeusoknak, te sem menekedel meg kezökből, hanem megfogatol a babiloni király kezével, és e várost felégeti tűzzel.

So they shall bring out all thy wives and thy children to the Chaldeans: and thou shalt not escape out of their hand, but shalt be taken by the hand of the king of Babylon: and thou shalt cause this city to be burned with fire.

Toate nevestele tale şi copiii tăi vor fi luaţi de haldei; şi nu vei scăpa de mâinile lor, ci vei fi prins de mâna împăratului Babilonului, şi cetatea aceasta va fi arsă cu foc.”

All your wives and your sons shall be led out to the Chaldeans, and you yourself shall not escape from their hand, but shall be seized by the king of Babylon, and this city shall be burned with fire.”

Cidkijjá erre azt mondta Jeremiásnak: Senki se tudjon e dolgokról, akkor nem halsz meg!

Monda pedig Sedékiás Jeremiásnak: Senki se tudjon e szókról, és nem halsz meg!

Then said Zedekiah unto Jeremiah, Let no man know of these words, and thou shalt not die.

Zedechia a zis lui Ieremia: „Să nu ştie nimeni nimic din cuvintele acestea, şi nu vei muri!

Then Zedekiah said to Jeremiah, “Let no one know of these words, and you shall not die.

Ha meghallják a fejedelmek, hogy beszéltem veled, és hozzád mennek, és azt mondják neked: „Mondd meg nekünk, miről beszéltél a királlyal, ne titkold el előlünk, akkor nem ölünk meg téged! Mit mondott neked a király?”,

Ha meghallják a fejedelmek, hogy beszéltem veled, és eljőnek hozzád és ezt mondják néked: Mondd meg csak nékünk, mit beszéltél a királynak, ne tagadj el abból tőlünk és nem ölünk meg téged, és mit monda néked a király?

But if the princes hear that I have talked with thee, and they come unto thee, and say unto thee, Declare unto us now what thou hast said unto the king, hide it not from us, and we will not put thee to death; also what the king said unto thee:

Dar, dacă vor auzi căpeteniile că ţi-am vorbit şi dacă vor veni şi-ţi vor zice: „Spune-ne ce ai spus împăratului şi ce ţi-a spus împăratul, nu ne ascunde nimic, şi nu te vom omorî”,

If the officials hear that I have spoken with you and come to you and say to you, ‘Tell us what you said to the king and what the king said to you; hide nothing from us and we will not put you to death,’

akkor azt mondd nekik: Alázatosan könyörögtem a királyhoz, hogy ne vitessen vissza Jónátán házába, mert ott meghalnék.

Ezt mondd nékik: Alázatosan könyörgék a királynak, hogy ne vitessen vissza Jónatán házába, hogy meg ne haljak ott.

Then thou shalt say unto them, I presented my supplication before the king, that he would not cause me to return to Jonathan's house, to die there.

să le răspunzi: „Am rugat pe împărat să nu mă trimită iarăşi în casa lui Ionatan, ca nu cumva să mor acolo!”

then you shall say to them, ‘I made a humble plea to the king that he would not send me back to the house of Jonathan to die there.’”

A fejedelmek pedig mind elmentek Jeremiáshoz, és megkérdezték őt. És pont úgy felelt nekik, ahogyan a király parancsolta. Azok pedig többet nem szólva eltávoztak tőle, mert nem tudták meg azt, amiről Jeremiás beszélt a királlyal.

És a fejedelmek mind elmenének Jeremiáshoz és megkérdék őt, és egészen úgy felele nékik, a mint a király parancsolta vala: és hallgatással elmenének tőle, mert nem hallották vala a beszédet.

Then came all the princes unto Jeremiah, and asked him: and he told them according to all these words that the king had commanded. So they left off speaking with him; for the matter was not perceived.

Toate căpeteniile au venit la Ieremia şi l-au întrebat. El le-a răspuns întocmai cum poruncise împăratul. Ei au tăcut atunci şi au plecat, căci nimeni n-auzise nimic.

Then all the officials came to Jeremiah and asked him, and he answered them as the king had instructed him. So they stopped speaking with him, for the conversation had not been overheard.

So Jeremiah abode in the court of the prison until the day that Jerusalem was taken: and he was there when Jerusalem was taken.
