Now these are the words of the letter that Jeremiah the prophet sent from Jerusalem unto the residue of the elders which were carried away captives, and to the priests, and to the prophets, and to all the people whom Nebuchadnezzar had carried away captive from Jerusalem to Babylon;

Iată cuprinsul epistolei pe care a trimis-o prorocul Ieremia din Ierusalim către rămăşiţa bătrânilor din robie, preoţilor, prorocilor şi întregului popor, pe care-i dusese în robie Nebucadneţar, din Ierusalim la Babilon,

These are the words of the letter that Jeremiah the prophet sent from Jerusalem to the surviving elders of the exiles, and to the priests, the prophets, and all the people, whom Nebuchadnezzar had taken into exile from Jerusalem to Babylon.

This was after King Jeconiah and the queen mother, the eunuchs, the officials of Judah and Jerusalem, the craftsmen, and the metal workers had departed from Jerusalem.

The letter was sent by the hand of Elasah the son of Shaphan and Gemariah the son of Hilkiah, whom Zedekiah king of Judah sent to Babylon to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon. It said:

Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, unto all that are carried away captives, whom I have caused to be carried away from Jerusalem unto Babylon;

“Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, to all the exiles whom I have sent into exile from Jerusalem to Babylon:

Build ye houses, and dwell in them; and plant gardens, and eat the fruit of them;

Build houses and live in them; plant gardens and eat their produce.

Vegyetek magatoknak feleséget, és szülessenek fiaitok és leányaitok! Házasítsátok meg fiaitokat, leányaitokat pedig adjátok férjhez, és szüljenek fiakat és leányokat! Sokasodjatok meg ott, és meg ne fogyatkozzatok!

Take ye wives, and beget sons and daughters; and take wives for your sons, and give your daughters to husbands, that they may bear sons and daughters; that ye may be increased there, and not diminished.

Take wives and have sons and daughters; take wives for your sons, and give your daughters in marriage, that they may bear sons and daughters; multiply there, and do not decrease.

És fáradozzatok annak a városnak a jólétén, ahová fogságra küldtelek benneteket, és könyörögjetek érte az ÚRhoz; mert annak jóléte a ti jólétetek is!

És igyekezzetek a városnak jólétén, a melybe fogságra küldöttelek titeket, és könyörögjetek érette az Úrnak; mert annak jóléte lesz a ti jólétetek.

And seek the peace of the city whither I have caused you to be carried away captives, and pray unto the LORD for it: for in the peace thereof shall ye have peace.

Urmăriţi binele cetăţii în care v-am dus în robie şi rugaţi-vă Domnului pentru ea, pentru că fericirea voastră atârnă de fericirea ei!

But seek the welfare of the city where I have sent you into exile, and pray to the LORD on its behalf, for in its welfare you will find your welfare.

Mert ezt mondja a Seregek URa, Izráel Istene: Ne engedjétek, hogy megtévesszenek benneteket a közöttetek levő próféták és jövendőmondók, és ne figyeljetek az álmaikra, amelyeket álmodnak!

For thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Let not your prophets and your diviners, that be in the midst of you, deceive you, neither hearken to your dreams which ye cause to be dreamed.

Căci aşa vorbeşte Domnul oştirilor, Dumnezeul lui Israel: „Nu vă lăsaţi amăgiţi de prorocii voştri care sunt în mijlocul vostru, nici de ghicitorii voştri; n-ascultaţi nici de visătorii voştri, ale căror vise voi le pricinuiţi!

For thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: Do not let your prophets and your diviners who are among you deceive you, and do not listen to the dreams that they dream,

Mert hamisan prófétálnak nektek az én nevemben. Nem küldtem őket – ezt mondja az ÚR.

For they prophesy falsely unto you in my name: I have not sent them, saith the LORD.

for it is a lie that they are prophesying to you in my name; I did not send them, declares the LORD.

Mert azt mondja az ÚR: Mihelyt eltelik Babilónban a hetven esztendő, meglátogatlak titeket, és beteljesítem ígéretemet, hogy visszahozlak titeket erre a helyre.

For thus saith the LORD, That after seventy years be accomplished at Babylon I will visit you, and perform my good word toward you, in causing you to return to this place.

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.

Kerestek majd engem és megtaláltok, mert teljes szívetekből kerestek engem.

And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.

Mă veţi căuta, şi Mă veţi găsi, dacă Mă veţi căuta cu toată inima.

You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.

Megtaláltok engem – ezt mondja az ÚR –, és jóra fordítom sorsotokat, összegyűjtelek benneteket minden nép közül és mindazokról a helyekről, ahová kiűztelek titeket – ezt mondja az ÚR –, és visszahozlak erre a helyre, ahonnan fogságra vitettelek titeket.

És megtaláltok engem, azt mondja az Úr, és visszahozlak a fogságból, és összegyűjtlek titeket minden nemzet közül és mindama helyekről, a hová kiűztelek titeket, azt mondja az Úr, és visszahozlak e helyre, a honnan számkivetettelek titeket.

And I will be found of you, saith the LORD: and I will turn away your captivity, and I will gather you from all the nations, and from all the places whither I have driven you, saith the LORD; and I will bring you again into the place whence I caused you to be carried away captive.

Mă voi lăsa să fiu găsit de voi, zice Domnul, şi voi aduce înapoi pe prinşii voştri de război; vă voi strânge din toate neamurile şi din toate locurile în care v-am izgonit, zice Domnul, şi vă voi aduce înapoi în locul de unde v-am dus în robie.

I will be found by you, declares the LORD, and I will restore your fortunes and gather you from all the nations and all the places where I have driven you, declares the LORD, and I will bring you back to the place from which I sent you into exile.

Mert ezt mondtátok: Támasztott nekünk az ÚR prófétákat Babilónban is.

Mert ezt mondjátok: Támasztott nékünk az Úr prófétákat Babilonban [is.]

Because ye have said, The LORD hath raised us up prophets in Babylon;

Totuşi voi ziceţi: „Dumnezeu ne-a ridicat proroci în Babilon!”

“Because you have said, ‘The LORD has raised up prophets for us in Babylon,’

Azt mondja az ÚR a királynak, aki Dávid trónján ül, és az egész népnek, amely e városban lakik, tudniillik testvéreiteknek, akik nem mentek veletek fogságba:

Mert ezt mondja az Úr a királynak, a ki Dávid székében ül, és az egész népnek, a mely e városban lakik, [tudniillik] a ti atyátok fiainak, a kik nem mentek el veletek a fogságra:

Know that thus saith the LORD of the king that sitteth upon the throne of David, and of all the people that dwelleth in this city, and of your brethren that are not gone forth with you into captivity;

Aşa vorbeşte Domnul asupra împăratului care şade pe scaunul de domnie al lui David, asupra întregului popor care locuieşte în cetatea aceasta, asupra fraţilor voştri care n-au mers cu voi în robie.

thus says the LORD concerning the king who sits on the throne of David, and concerning all the people who dwell in this city, your kinsmen who did not go out with you into exile:

Azt mondja a Seregek URa: Íme, fegyvert, éhínséget és dögvészt küldök rájuk, és olyanná teszem őket, mint a rothadt fügék, amelyek ehetetlenek.

Ezt mondja a Seregek Ura: Ímé, én reájok küldöm a fegyvert, az éhséget és a döghalált, és olyanokká teszem őket, a milyenek a keserű fügék, a melyek a rosszaság miatt ehetetlenek.

Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Behold, I will send upon them the sword, the famine, and the pestilence, and will make them like vile figs, that cannot be eaten, they are so evil.

I will pursue them with sword, famine, and pestilence, and will make them a horror to all the kingdoms of the earth, to be a curse, a terror, a hissing, and a reproach among all the nations where I have driven them,

Azért, mert nem hallgattak beszédeimre – ezt mondja az ÚR –, amelyeket üzentem nekik szolgáim, a próféták által; idejében üzentem, de nem hallgattátok meg – így szól az ÚR.

Because they have not hearkened to my words, saith the LORD, which I sent unto them by my servants the prophets, rising up early and sending them; but ye would not hear, saith the LORD.

because they did not pay attention to my words, declares the LORD, that I persistently sent to you by my servants the prophets, but you would not listen, declares the LORD.’

Halljátok meg az ÚR szavát mindnyájan, ti foglyok, akiket Jeruzsálemből Babilónba küldtem!

Ti azért, ti foglyok, halljátok meg az Úrnak szavát mindnyájan, a kiket Jeruzsálemből Babilonba küldtem.

Hear ye therefore the word of the LORD, all ye of the captivity, whom I have sent from Jerusalem to Babylon:

Voi însă ascultaţi cuvântul Domnului, voi toţi prinşii de război pe care v-am trimis din Ierusalim în Babilon!

Hear the word of the LORD, all you exiles whom I sent away from Jerusalem to Babylon:

Azt mondja a Seregek URa, Izráel Istene Ahábról, Kólájá fiáról és Cidkijjáról, Maaszéjá fiáról, akik hamisan prófétálnak nektek az én nevemben: Íme, én odaadom őket Nebukadneccarnak, Babilón királyának a kezébe, és megöleti őket szemetek láttára.

Ezt mondja a Seregek Ura, az Izráel Istene Akhábra a Kolája fiára, és Sedékiásra a Mahásiás fiára, a kik hamisan prófétálnak néktek az én nevemben: Ímé, én odaadom őket Nabukodonozornak, Babilon királyának kezébe, és szemeitek láttára megöli őket.

Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, of Ahab the son of Kolaiah, and of Zedekiah the son of Maaseiah, which prophesy a lie unto you in my name; Behold, I will deliver them into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon; and he shall slay them before your eyes;

Aşa vorbeşte Domnul oştirilor, Dumnezeul lui Israel, despre Ahab, fiul lui Colaia, şi despre Zedechia, fiul lui Maaseia, care vă prorocesc minciuni în Numele Meu: „Iată, îi dau în mâinile lui Nebucadneţar, împăratul Babilonului; şi-i va omorî sub ochii voştri.

‘Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, concerning Ahab the son of Kolaiah and Zedekiah the son of Maaseiah, who are prophesying a lie to you in my name: Behold, I will deliver them into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and he shall strike them down before your eyes.

És átokszóként emlegetik őket a Júdából való foglyok, akik Babilónban vannak, ezt mondva: Tegyen téged az ÚR olyanná, mint Cidkijját és Ahábot, akiket tűzzel égetett meg a babilóni király!

And of them shall be taken up a curse by all the captivity of Judah which are in Babylon, saying, The LORD make thee like Zedekiah and like Ahab, whom the king of Babylon roasted in the fire;

Because of them this curse shall be used by all the exiles from Judah in Babylon: “The LORD make you like Zedekiah and Ahab, whom the king of Babylon roasted in the fire,”

Mert gyalázatosságot cselekedtek Izráelben: paráználkodtak felebarátaik feleségeivel, és hazugságot szóltak az én nevemben, amit nem parancsoltam nekik. Én tudom, és tanúja vagyok ennek! – ezt mondja az ÚR.

Because they have committed villany in Israel, and have committed adultery with their neighbours' wives, and have spoken lying words in my name, which I have not commanded them; even I know, and am a witness, saith the LORD.

because they have done an outrageous thing in Israel, they have committed adultery with their neighbors’ wives, and they have spoken in my name lying words that I did not command them. I am the one who knows, and I am witness, declares the LORD.’”

Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, saying, Because thou hast sent letters in thy name unto all the people that are at Jerusalem, and to Zephaniah the son of Maaseiah the priest, and to all the priests, saying,

“Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: You have sent letters in your name to all the people who are in Jerusalem, and to Zephaniah the son of Maaseiah the priest, and to all the priests, saying,

az ÚR tett téged pappá Jójádá főpap helyébe, hogy felügyelj az ÚR házában minden bolond férfira és prófétálni akaró emberre, hogy kalodába vesd és vasra verd az ilyeneket.

The LORD hath made thee priest in the stead of Jehoiada the priest, that ye should be officers in the house of the LORD, for every man that is mad, and maketh himself a prophet, that thou shouldest put him in prison, and in the stocks.

Akkor miért nem dorgáltad meg az anátóti Jeremiást, aki nektek prófétál?

Now therefore why hast thou not reproved Jeremiah of Anathoth, which maketh himself a prophet to you?

Now why have you not rebuked Jeremiah of Anathoth who is prophesying to you?

Sőt még üzenetet is küldött hozzánk Babilónba, és ezt mondta: Hosszú lesz a fogság! Építsetek házakat, és lakjatok bennük, ültessetek kerteket, és éljetek gyümölcseikkel!

For therefore he sent unto us in Babylon, saying, This captivity is long: build ye houses, and dwell in them; and plant gardens, and eat the fruit of them.

For he has sent to us in Babylon, saying, “Your exile will be long; build houses and live in them, and plant gardens and eat their produce.”’”

Then the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah:

Ezt az üzenetet küldd az összes fogolynak: Azt mondja az ÚR a nehelámi Semajáról: Mivelhogy Semajá prófétált nektek, holott én nem küldtem őt, és hazugsággal biztatott titeket,

Küldj el mind a foglyokhoz, mondván: Ezt mondja az Úr a nehelámiti Semája felől: Mivelhogy prófétált néktek Semája, holott én nem küldtem őt, és hazugsággal biztatott titeket;

Send to all them of the captivity, saying, Thus saith the LORD concerning Shemaiah the Nehelamite; Because that Shemaiah hath prophesied unto you, and I sent him not, and he caused you to trust in a lie:

„Trimite să spună tuturor celor din robie: „Aşa vorbeşte Domnul despre Şemaia, nehelamitul: „Pentru că Şemaia vă proroceşte fără să-l fi trimis Eu şi vă insuflă o încredere mincinoasă,

“Send to all the exiles, saying, ‘Thus says the LORD concerning Shemaiah of Nehelam: Because Shemaiah had prophesied to you when I did not send him, and has made you trust in a lie,

ezért azt mondja az ÚR: Íme, én megbüntetem a nehelámi Semaját és az ő utódát. Nem lesz senkije, aki e nép között lakjon, és nem látja azt a jót, melyet népemmel cselekszem – ezt mondja az ÚR –, mert az ÚR ellen lázítva szólt.

Azért ezt mondja az Úr: Ímé, én megfenyítem a nehelámiti Semáját és az ő magvát; nem lesz néki embere, a ki lakjék e nép között, és nem látja a jót, melyet én az én népemmel cselekszem, azt mondja az Úr; mert az Úr ellen való szót szólott.

Therefore thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will punish Shemaiah the Nehelamite, and his seed: he shall not have a man to dwell among this people; neither shall he behold the good that I will do for my people, saith the LORD; because he hath taught rebellion against the LORD.

iată ce zice Domnul: „Voi pedepsi pe Şemaia, nehelamitul, şi sămânţa lui: niciunul din ai lui nu va locui în mijlocul poporului acestuia şi nu va vedea binele pe care-l voi face poporului Meu, zice Domnul; căci el a propovăduit răzvrătire împotriva Domnului.”

therefore thus says the LORD: Behold, I will punish Shemaiah of Nehelam and his descendants. He shall not have anyone living among this people, and he shall not see the good that I will do to my people, declares the LORD, for he has spoken rebellion against the LORD.’”
