Gyászba borult Júda, és kapui roskadoznak. Gyászolnak a földön, és Jeruzsálemből jajkiáltás száll föl.

Judah mourneth, and the gates thereof languish; they are black unto the ground; and the cry of Jerusalem is gone up.

„Iuda jeleşte, cetăţile lui sunt pustiite, triste, posomorâte, şi strigătele Ierusalimului se înalţă.

“Judah mourns, and her gates languish; her people lament on the ground, and the cry of Jerusalem goes up.

A nemesek vízért küldik szolgáikat, akik elmennek a kutakig, de nem találnak vizet. Üres edényekkel térnek vissza, szégyenkeznek, pironkodnak, és befedik a fejüket.

Fejedelmeik is kiküldik gyermekeiket vízért: elmennek a kútakig, nem találnak vizet; visszatérnek üres edényekkel; szégyenkeznek és pironkodnak, és befedik fejöket.

And their nobles have sent their little ones to the waters: they came to the pits, and found no water; they returned with their vessels empty; they were ashamed and confounded, and covered their heads.

Cei mari trimit pe cei mici să aducă apă, dar cei mici, când se duc la fântâni, nu găsesc apă şi se întorc cu vasele goale: ruşinaţi şi roşiţi, îşi acoperă capul.

Her nobles send their servants for water; they come to the cisterns; they find no water; they return with their vessels empty; they are ashamed and confounded and cover their heads.

Megrepedezett a termőföld, mert nem esett eső a földön. Szégyenkeznek a szántóvetők, és befedik fejüket.

A föld miatt, a mely retteg, mert nem esett eső a földön, szégyenkeznek a szántóvetők, és befedik fejöket.

Because the ground is chapt, for there was no rain in the earth, the plowmen were ashamed, they covered their heads.

Pământul crapă, pentru că nu cade ploaie în ţară, şi plugarii, înşelaţi în nădejdea lor, îşi acoperă capul.

Because of the ground that is dismayed, since there is no rain on the land, the farmers are ashamed; they cover their heads.

Még a szarvasüsző is, ha megellik a mezőn, otthagyja borját, mert nincs fű.

Még a szarvas-üsző is megellik a mezőn, és ott hagyja [fiát,] mert nincsen fű.

Yea, the hind also calved in the field, and forsook it, because there was no grass.

Chiar şi cerboaica de pe câmp naşte şi îşi părăseşte puii, pentru că nu găseşte verdeaţă.

Even the doe in the field forsakes her newborn fawn because there is no grass.

A vadszamarak pedig a kopár sziklákon állnak, levegő után kapkodnak, mint a sakálok, szemük eleped, mert nincs fű.

And the wild asses did stand in the high places, they snuffed up the wind like dragons; their eyes did fail, because there was no grass.

Măgarii sălbatici stau pe locuri înalte şi pleşuve, trăgând aer ca nişte şerpi; li se topesc ochii, pentru că nu este iarbă.” –

The wild donkeys stand on the bare heights; they pant for air like jackals; their eyes fail because there is no vegetation.

Bár bűneink ellenünk tanúskodnak, cselekedjél, URam, a te nevedért! Mert törvényszegésünknek se szeri, se száma, vétkeztünk ellened!

Ha bűneink ellenünk tanúskodnak: cselekedjél Uram a te nevedért, mert temérdek a mi törvényszegésünk; vétkeztünk ellened!

O LORD, though our iniquities testify against us, do thou it for thy name's sake: for our backslidings are many; we have sinned against thee.

Dacă nelegiuirile noastre mărturisesc împotriva noastră, lucrează pentru Numele Tău, Doamne! Căci abaterile noastre sunt multe, am păcătuit împotriva Ta.

“Though our iniquities testify against us, act, O LORD, for your name’s sake; for our backslidings are many; we have sinned against you.

Ó, Izráel reménysége, szabadítója a nyomorúság idején! Miért vagy ezen a földön olyan, mint valami jövevény, mint az utas, aki csak éjjeli szállásra tér be?

Izráel reménysége, megszabadítója a nyomorúság idején! Miért vagy e földön úgy, mint valami jövevény és mint valami utas, a ki éjjeli szállásra tér be?

O the hope of Israel, the saviour thereof in time of trouble, why shouldest thou be as a stranger in the land, and as a wayfaring man that turneth aside to tarry for a night?

Tu, care eşti nădejdea lui Israel, Mântuitorul lui la vreme de nevoie: pentru ce să fii ca un străin în ţară, ca un călător care intră doar să petreacă noaptea în ea?

O you hope of Israel, its savior in time of trouble, why should you be like a stranger in the land, like a traveler who turns aside to tarry for a night?

Miért vagy olyan, mint a megriadt férfi, mint az olyan harcos, aki nem tud segíteni? Hiszen te közöttünk vagy, URam, a te nevedről neveznek bennünket. Ne hagyj el minket!

Miért vagy olyan, mint a megriasztott férfi; mint a vitéz, a ki nem tud segíteni? Hiszen te közöttünk vagy, Uram, és mi a te nevedről neveztetünk; ne hagyj el minket!

Why shouldest thou be as a man astonied, as a mighty man that cannot save? yet thou, O LORD, art in the midst of us, and we are called by thy name; leave us not.

De ce să fii ca un om încremenit, ca un viteaz care nu ne poate ajuta? Şi totuşi Tu eşti în mijlocul nostru, Doamne, şi Numele Tău este chemat peste noi. De aceea nu ne părăsi! –

Why should you be like a man confused, like a mighty warrior who cannot save? Yet you, O LORD, are in the midst of us, and we are called by your name; do not leave us.”

Azt mondja az ÚR e népről: Úgy szeretnek ide-oda futkározni, lábukat nem tartóztatják meg, ezért nem kedveli őket az ÚR. Most megemlékezik bűnükről, és vétkeikért megbünteti őket.

Ezt mondja az Úr e népnek: Úgy szerettek ide-oda futkározni, lábaikat meg nem tartóztatták! Azért az Úr nem kedvelte őket. Most megemlékezik az ő bűnökről, és vétkeikért megfenyíti őket.

Thus saith the LORD unto this people, Thus have they loved to wander, they have not refrained their feet, therefore the LORD doth not accept them; he will now remember their iniquity, and visit their sins.

Iată ce spune Domnul despre poporul acesta: „Le place să alerge încoace şi încolo. Nu-şi cruţă picioarele; de aceea Domnul n-are plăcere de ei; acum îşi aduce aminte de nelegiuirile lor şi le pedepseşte păcatele!”

Thus says the LORD concerning this people: “They have loved to wander thus; they have not restrained their feet; therefore the LORD does not accept them; now he will remember their iniquity and punish their sins.”

Azt mondta nekem az ÚR: Ne könyörögj e népért az ő érdekében!

És mondá nékem az Úr: Ne könyörögj e népért, az ő javára.

Then said the LORD unto me, Pray not for this people for their good.

Şi Domnul mi-a zis: „Nu mijloci pentru poporul acesta!

The LORD said to me: “Do not pray for the welfare of this people.

Amikor böjtölnek, nem hallgatom meg kiáltásukat, és ha égőáldozatot vagy ételáldozatot készítenek, nem lesznek kedvesek előttem; sőt fegyverrel, éhínséggel és döghalállal irtom ki őket.

Mikor bőjtölnek, én meg nem hallgatom kiáltozásukat, és ha égőáldozatot vagy ételáldozatot készítenek, nem lesznek kedvesek előttem; sőt fegyverrel, éhséggel és döghalállal irtom ki őket.

When they fast, I will not hear their cry; and when they offer burnt offering and an oblation, I will not accept them: but I will consume them by the sword, and by the famine, and by the pestilence.

Căci, chiar dacă vor posti, tot nu le voi asculta rugăciunile, şi, chiar dacă vor aduce arderi de tot şi jertfe de mâncare, nu le voi primi; ci vreau să-i nimicesc cu sabia, cu foametea şi cu ciuma.”

Though they fast, I will not hear their cry, and though they offer burnt offering and grain offering, I will not accept them. But I will consume them by the sword, by famine, and by pestilence.”

Én ezt mondtam: Ó, URam, Istenem! Hiszen a próféták mondták nekik: Nem láttok fegyvert, éhínség sem támad rátok, sőt tartós békességet adok nektek ezen a helyen.

És mondék: Ah, Uram Isten! Hiszen a próféták mondják vala nékik: Fegyvert nem láttok, éhség sem lesz rajtatok, sőt állandó békességet adok néktek ezen a helyen.

Then said I, Ah, Lord GOD! behold, the prophets say unto them, Ye shall not see the sword, neither shall ye have famine; but I will give you assured peace in this place.

Eu am răspuns: „Ah! Doamne Dumnezeule! Iată că prorocii lor le zic: „Nu veţi vedea sabie şi nu veţi avea foamete; ci Domnul vă va da în locul acesta o pace trainică.”

Then I said: “Ah, Lord GOD, behold, the prophets say to them, ‘You shall not see the sword, nor shall you have famine, but I will give you assured peace in this place.’”

Erre az ÚR azt mondta nekem: Hazugságot prófétálnak a próféták az én nevemben. Nem küldtem őket, nem parancsoltam nekik, nem is szóltam hozzájuk. Hazug látomást, varázslást, hiábavalóságot és szívükből jövő csalárdságot jövendölnek nektek.

És monda az Úr nékem: Hazugságot prófétálnak a próféták az én nevemben; nem küldtem őket, nem parancsoltam nékik, nem is beszéltem velök; hazug látomást, varázslást, hiábavalóságot és szívbeli csalárdságot jövendölnek néktek.

Then the LORD said unto me, The prophets prophesy lies in my name: I sent them not, neither have I commanded them, neither spake unto them: they prophesy unto you a false vision and divination, and a thing of nought, and the deceit of their heart.

Dar Domnul mi-a răspuns: „Prorocii lor prorocesc minciuni în Numele Meu; Eu nu i-am trimis, nu le-am dat poruncă şi nu le-am vorbit; ci ei vă prorocesc nişte vedenii mincinoase, prorociri deşarte, înşelătorii şi închipuiri scoase din inima lor.

And the LORD said to me: “The prophets are prophesying lies in my name. I did not send them, nor did I command them or speak to them. They are prophesying to you a lying vision, worthless divination, and the deceit of their own minds.

Azért azt mondja az ÚR a prófétákról: Az én nevemben prófétálnak, holott én nem küldtem őket, és mégis azt mondják, hogy fegyver és éhínség nem lesz ezen a földön. Fegyver és éhínség miatt vesznek el azok a próféták!

Azért ezt mondja az Úr a próféták felől, a kik az én nevemben prófétálnak, holott én nem küldtem őket és mégis azt mondják: fegyver és éhség nem lesz e földön: Fegyver és éhség miatt vesznek el azok a próféták!

Therefore thus saith the LORD concerning the prophets that prophesy in my name, and I sent them not, yet they say, Sword and famine shall not be in this land; By sword and famine shall those prophets be consumed.

De aceea aşa vorbeşte Domnul despre prorocii care măcar că nu i-am trimis Eu, prorocesc totuşi în Numele Meu şi zic: „Nu va fi nici sabie, nici foamete în ţara aceasta.” – Prorocii aceştia vor pieri ucişi de sabie şi de foamete!

Therefore thus says the LORD concerning the prophets who prophesy in my name although I did not send them, and who say, ‘Sword and famine shall not come upon this land’: By sword and famine those prophets shall be consumed.

A nép pedig, amelynek prófétálnak, ott fetreng majd Jeruzsálem utcáin az éhínség és a fegyver miatt, és nem lesz, aki eltemesse őket: őket, feleségeiket, fiaikat és leányaikat. Így zúdítom rájuk gonoszságukat!

A nép pedig, a melynek ők prófétálnak, ott hever majd Jeruzsálem utczáin az éhség és a fegyver miatt, és nem lesz, a ki eltemesse őket, őket és feleségeiket, fiaikat és leányaikat; így zúdítom rájok gonoszságukat!

And the people to whom they prophesy shall be cast out in the streets of Jerusalem because of the famine and the sword; and they shall have none to bury them, them, their wives, nor their sons, nor their daughters: for I will pour their wickedness upon them.

Iar aceia cărora le prorocesc ei vor fi întinşi pe uliţele Ierusalimului de foamete şi sabie; nu va avea cine să-i îngroape, nici pe ei, nici pe nevestele lor, nici pe fiii lor, nici pe fiicele lor; voi turna astfel răutatea lor asupra lor.

And the people to whom they prophesy shall be cast out in the streets of Jerusalem, victims of famine and sword, with none to bury them—them, their wives, their sons, and their daughters. For I will pour out their evil upon them.

Azért ezeket a szavakat mondd nekik: Nem szűnik meg szemem éjjel-nappal könnyeket hullatni, mert nagy csapás töri össze népem szűz leányát; igen fájdalmas lesz a sebe.

Azért e szavakat mondjad nékik: Szemeim könyeket hullatnak éjjel és nappal, és nem szünnek meg; mert nagy rontással rontatott meg a szűz, az én népemnek leánya, igen fájdalmas vereséggel.

Therefore thou shalt say this word unto them; Let mine eyes run down with tears night and day, and let them not cease: for the virgin daughter of my people is broken with a great breach, with a very grievous blow.

Spune-le lucrul acesta: „Îmi varsă lacrimi ochii zi şi noapte şi nu se opresc. Căci fecioara, fiica poporului meu, este greu lovită cu o rană foarte usturătoare.

“You shall say to them this word: ‘Let my eyes run down with tears night and day, and let them not cease, for the virgin daughter of my people is shattered with a great wound, with a very grievous blow.

Ha kimegyek a mezőre, íme, fegyver által levágottak hevernek ott, ha pedig bemegyek a városba, éhínség miatt elepedtek. A próféták és a papok pedig olyan földre költöznek, amelyet nem ismernek!

Ha kimegyek a mezőre, hát ímé fegyver által levágottak; ha bemegyek a városba, hát ímé éhség miatt elepedtek [vannak ott!] Bizony próféta is, pap is olyan földre költöznek, a melyet nem ismernek!

If I go forth into the field, then behold the slain with the sword! and if I enter into the city, then behold them that are sick with famine! yea, both the prophet and the priest go about into a land that they know not.

Dacă ies la câmp, dau peste oameni străpunşi de sabie. Dacă intru în cetate, dau peste nişte fiinţe sleite de foame; chiar şi prorocul şi preotul cutreieră ţara fără să ştie unde merg.” –

If I go out into the field, behold, those pierced by the sword! And if I enter the city, behold, the diseases of famine! For both prophet and priest ply their trade through the land and have no knowledge.’”

Egészen elvetetted Júdát, ennyire utálja a lelked Siont? Miért vertél meg úgy, hogy nincs gyógyulásunk? Békességet vártunk, de nem ért semmi jó, a gyógyulás idejét, de íme, csak rettegés van!

Egészen elvetetted-é Júdát, avagy a Siont útálja-é lelked? miért vertél úgy meg, hogy semmi orvosságunk se legyen? Békességet vártunk, de nincs semmi jó; és gyógyulásnak idejét, de ímé, [itt van] a rettegés!

Hast thou utterly rejected Judah? hath thy soul lothed Zion? why hast thou smitten us, and there is no healing for us? we looked for peace, and there is no good; and for the time of healing, and behold trouble!

Ai lepădat Tu de tot pe Iuda şi a urât sufletul Tău atât de mult Sionul? Pentru ce ne loveşti aşa, că nu mai este nicio vindecare pentru noi? Trăgeam nădejde de pace, şi nu vine nimic bun; aşteptam o vreme de vindecare, şi nu-i decât groază!

Have you utterly rejected Judah? Does your soul loathe Zion? Why have you struck us down so that there is no healing for us? We looked for peace, but no good came; for a time of healing, but behold, terror.

Beismerjük, URam, gonoszságainkat, atyáink bűnét is: bizony vétkeztünk ellened!

Ismerjük Uram a mi gonoszságainkat, atyáink bűnét; bizony vétkeztünk ellened!

We acknowledge, O LORD, our wickedness, and the iniquity of our fathers: for we have sinned against thee.

Doamne, ne recunoaştem răutatea noastră şi nelegiuirea părinţilor noştri; căci am păcătuit împotriva Ta.

We acknowledge our wickedness, O LORD, and the iniquity of our fathers, for we have sinned against you.

Ne vess meg, kérünk a te nevedért, ne hagyd meggyalázni dicsőséged trónusát! Emlékezz meg rólunk, és ne bontsd föl velünk kötött szövetségedet!

Ne vesd meg a te nevedért; ne gyalázd meg a te dicsőségednek székét! Emlékezzél; ne rontsd meg a te velünk való szövetségedet!

Do not abhor us, for thy name's sake, do not disgrace the throne of thy glory: remember, break not thy covenant with us.

Pentru Numele Tău nu nesocoti, nu necinsti scaunul de domnie al slavei Tale! Nu uita, nu rupe legământul Tău cu noi!

Do not spurn us, for your name’s sake; do not dishonor your glorious throne; remember and do not break your covenant with us.

Van-e olyan a népek bálványai között, aki esőt adhatna? Talán az ég adja a záporokat? Hát nem te, URunk, Istenünk? Benned reménykedünk, hiszen te cselekedted mindezt!

Vannak-é a pogányok bálványai között, a kik esőt adhatnak? És ad-é záporokat az ég? Avagy nem te vagy-é a mi Urunk Istenünk, és nem benned kell-é bíznunk, hiszen te cselekedted mindezt!

Are there any among the vanities of the Gentiles that can cause rain? or can the heavens give showers? art not thou he, O LORD our God? therefore we will wait upon thee: for thou hast made all these things.

Este oare printre idolii neamurilor vreunul care să aducă ploaie? Sau poate cerul să dea ploaie? Nu dai Tu ploaie, Doamne Dumnezeul nostru? Noi nădăjduim în Tine, căci Tu ai făcut toate aceste lucruri! –

Are there any among the false gods of the nations that can bring rain? Or can the heavens give showers? Are you not he, O LORD our God? We set our hope on you, for you do all these things.
