The word which came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying,

Kelj föl, és menj el a fazekas házába, és ott közlöm veled beszédeimet!

Kelj fel és menj le a fazekasnak házába, és ott közlöm veled az én beszédeimet!

Arise, and go down to the potter's house, and there I will cause thee to hear my words.

„Scoală-te şi coboară-te în casa olarului; acolo te voi face să auzi cuvintele Mele!”

“Arise, and go down to the potter’s house, and there I will let you hear my words.”

Lementem azért a fazekas házába, és íme, ő éppen a korongon dolgozott.

Lemenék azért a fazekas házába, és ímé ő edényt készít vala a korongon.

Then I went down to the potter's house, and, behold, he wrought a work on the wheels.

Când m-am coborât în casa olarului, iată că el lucra pe roată.

So I went down to the potter’s house, and there he was working at his wheel.

És elrontotta az edényt a fazekas, amelyet agyagból készített kezével, és azonnal más edényt készített belőle a fazekas, ahogyan azt jónak látta.

És elromla az edény, a melyet ő készít vala [és a mely] mint agyag volt a fazekas kezében, és azonnal más edényt készíte belőle, a mint a fazekas jobbnak látta megkészíteni.

And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it.

Vasul pe care-l făcea n-a izbutit – cum se întâmplă cu lutul în mâna olarului. Atunci el a făcut un alt vas, cum i-a plăcut lui să-l facă.

And the vessel he was making of clay was spoiled in the potter’s hand, and he reworked it into another vessel, as it seemed good to the potter to do.

Akkor azt mondta nekem az ÚR:

És szóla az Úr nékem, mondván:

Vajon nem cselekedhetem-e én is úgy veletek, mint ez a fazekas, ó, Izráel háza? – azt mondja az ÚR. Íme, mint az agyag a fazekas kezében, olyanok vagytok ti az én kezemben, ó, Izráel háza!

Vajjon nem cselekedtem-é veletek úgy, mint ez a fazekas, oh Izráel háza? ezt mondja az Úr. Ímé, mint az agyag a fazekas kezében, olyanok vagytok ti az én kezemben, oh Izráel háza!

O house of Israel, cannot I do with you as this potter? saith the LORD. Behold, as the clay is in the potter's hand, so are ye in mine hand, O house of Israel.

„Nu pot Eu să fac cu voi ca olarul acesta, casă a lui Israel? – zice Domnul. Iată, cum este lutul în mâna olarului aşa sunteţi voi în mâna Mea, casă a lui Israel!

“O house of Israel, can I not do with you as this potter has done? declares the LORD. Behold, like the clay in the potter’s hand, so are you in my hand, O house of Israel.

Ha szólok egy nép ellen vagy egy ország ellen, hogy kigyomlálom, megrontom és elvesztem,

Hogyha szólok egy nép ellen és ország ellen, hogy kigyomlálom, megrontom és elvesztem:

At what instant I shall speak concerning a nation, and concerning a kingdom, to pluck up, and to pull down, and to destroy it;

Deodată zic despre un neam, despre o împărăţie, că-l voi smulge, că-l voi surpa şi că-l voi nimici;

If at any time I declare concerning a nation or a kingdom, that I will pluck up and break down and destroy it,

de megtér az a nép gonoszságából, amely ellen szóltam, akkor én is megbánom a gonoszt, amelyet rajta véghezvinni gondoltam.

De megtér az a nép az ő gonoszságából, a mely ellen szólottam: én is megbánom a gonoszt, a melyet rajta véghezvinni gondoltam.

If that nation, against whom I have pronounced, turn from their evil, I will repent of the evil that I thought to do unto them.

dar dacă neamul acesta despre care am vorbit astfel se întoarce de la răutatea lui, atunci şi Mie Îmi pare rău de răul pe care Îmi pusesem în gând să i-l fac.

and if that nation, concerning which I have spoken, turns from its evil, I will relent of the disaster that I intended to do to it.

És ha azt mondom egy népről vagy egy országról, hogy fölépítem, beültetem,

És hogyha szólok a nép felől és ország felől, hogy felépítem, beültetem;

And at what instant I shall speak concerning a nation, and concerning a kingdom, to build and to plant it;

Tot aşa însă deodată zic despre un neam, sau despre o împărăţie, că-l voi zidi sau că-l voi sădi.

And if at any time I declare concerning a nation or a kingdom that I will build and plant it,

de gonoszul cselekszik előttem, és nem hallgat a szavamra, akkor megbánom azt a jót, amelyet tenni akartam vele.

De a gonoszt cselekszi előttem, és nem hallgat az én szómra: akkor megbánom a jót, a melylyel vele jót tenni akartam.

If it do evil in my sight, that it obey not my voice, then I will repent of the good, wherewith I said I would benefit them.

Dar dacă neamul acesta face ce este rău înaintea Mea şi n-ascultă glasul Meu, atunci Îmi pare rău şi de binele pe care aveam de gând să i-l fac.

and if it does evil in my sight, not listening to my voice, then I will relent of the good that I had intended to do to it.

Most azért ezt mondd Júda férfiainak és Jeruzsálem lakosainak: Azt mondja az ÚR: Íme, veszedelmet készítek, és tervet szövök ellenetek! Nosza, térjetek meg, ki-ki a maga gonosz útjáról, és jobbítsátok meg útjaitokat és cselekedeteiteket!

Most azért beszélj csak a Júda férfiaival és Jeruzsálem lakosaival, mondván: Ezt mondja az Úr: Ímé, én veszedelmet készítek ellenetek és tervet tervezek ellenetek! Nosza, térjetek meg, kiki a maga gonosz útáról, és jobbítsátok meg útaitokat és cselekedeteiteket!

Now therefore go to, speak to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, saying, Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I frame evil against you, and devise a device against you: return ye now every one from his evil way, and make your ways and your doings good.

De aceea, vorbeşte acum oamenilor lui Iuda şi locuitorilor Ierusalimului şi zi: „Aşa vorbeşte Domnul: „Iată, pregătesc o nenorocire împotriva voastră şi fac un plan împotriva voastră. De aceea, întoarceţi-vă fiecare de la calea voastră cea rea, îndreptaţi-vă umbletele şi faptele!”

Now, therefore, say to the men of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem: ‘Thus says the LORD, Behold, I am shaping disaster against you and devising a plan against you. Return, every one from his evil way, and amend your ways and your deeds.’

De ők azt mondták: Fölösleges! Mert mi a magunk gondolatai után megyünk, és mindnyájan a mi gonosz szívünk konoksága szerint cselekszünk.

Ők pedig azt mondják: Hagyd el! Mert mi a magunk gondolatai után megyünk, és mindnyájan a mi gonosz szívünk hamisságát cselekesszük.

And they said, There is no hope: but we will walk after our own devices, and we will every one do the imagination of his evil heart.

Dar ei zic: „Degeaba! Căci noi ne vom urma gândurile noastre şi vom lucra fiecare după pornirile inimii noastre rele!”

“But they say, ‘That is in vain! We will follow our own plans, and will every one act according to the stubbornness of his evil heart.’

Ezért azt mondja az ÚR: Kérdezzétek csak meg a népeket: Kicsoda hallott ilyet? Igen utálatos dolgot cselekedett Izráel leánya!

Azért ezt mondja az Úr: Kérdezzétek csak meg a népeket: kicsoda hallott vala ilyeneket? Igen útálatosan cselekedett Izráel leánya!

Therefore thus saith the LORD; Ask ye now among the heathen, who hath heard such things: the virgin of Israel hath done a very horrible thing.

De aceea, aşa vorbeşte Domnul: „Întrebaţi pe neamuri! Cine a auzit vreodată asemenea lucruri? Fecioara lui Israel a făcut grozave blestemăţii.

“Therefore thus says the LORD: Ask among the nations, Who has heard the like of this? The virgin Israel has done a very horrible thing.

Elhagyja-e a hó a Libánon sziklás fennsíkját? Vajon kiszáradnak-e a vadonban fölfakadó, csörgedező hűs vizek?

Elhagyja-é a mezőség szikláját a Libanon hava? Vajjon kiszáríthatók-é a felfakadó, csörgedező, hullámzó vizek?

Will a man leave the snow of Lebanon which cometh from the rock of the field? or shall the cold flowing waters that come from another place be forsaken?

Părăseşte zăpada Libanului stânca ogoarelor? Sau se văd secând apele care vin de departe proaspete şi curgătoare?

Does the snow of Lebanon leave the crags of Sirion? Do the mountain waters run dry, the cold flowing streams?

Ám az én népem elfeledkezett rólam, hiábavalóságoknak tömjénez. Elcsábították őket útjaikról, az ősi nyomról, hogy más ösvényeken, járatlan úton járjanak.

Ám az én népem elfeledkezett rólam; a hiábavalónak áldozik; elcsábították őket az ő útaikról, az ősrégi nyomról, hogy ösvényeken, járatlan úton járjanak;

Because my people hath forgotten me, they have burned incense to vanity, and they have caused them to stumble in their ways from the ancient paths, to walk in paths, in a way not cast up;

Totuşi poporul Meu M-a uitat şi aduce tămâie idolilor; s-a abătut din căile lui, a părăsit vechile cărări şi a apucat pe cărări şi drumuri nebătute,

But my people have forgotten me; they make offerings to false gods; they made them stumble in their ways, in the ancient roads, and to walk into side roads, not the highway,

Így teszik pusztasággá földjüket, örökös csúfsággá, hogy aki csak átmegy rajta, álmélkodik, és fejét csóválja.

Hogy pusztasággá tegyem földjüket, örökös csúfsággá, hogy a ki átmegy rajta, elálmélkodjék és fejét csóválja.

To make their land desolate, and a perpetual hissing; every one that passeth thereby shall be astonished, and wag his head.

făcând astfel din ţara lor o pustietate, o veşnică batjocură; toţi cei ce trec prin ea sunt uimiţi şi dau din cap.

making their land a horror, a thing to be hissed at forever. Everyone who passes by it is horrified and shakes his head.

Mint a keleti szél, úgy szórom szét őket az ellenség előtt, hátamat, nem pedig arcomat fordítom feléjük pusztulásuk napján.

Mint keleti szél szórom szét őket az ellenség előtt, háttal és nem arczczal nézek reájok az ő pusztulásuk napján.

I will scatter them as with an east wind before the enemy; I will shew them the back, and not the face, in the day of their calamity.

Ca vântul de la răsărit îi voi risipi înaintea vrăjmaşului; iar în ziua necazului lor le voi întoarce spatele şi nu Mă voi uita la ei!”

Like the east wind I will scatter them before the enemy. I will show them my back, not my face, in the day of their calamity.”

Ők pedig azt mondták: Gyertek, szőjünk terveket Jeremiás ellen, mert nem veszhet ki a pap tanítása, sem a bölcs tanácsa, sem a próféta szava! Gyertek el, verjük meg őt a nyelvünkkel, és ne hallgassunk egy szavára sem!

Ők pedig mondák: Jertek és tervezzünk terveket Jeremiás ellen, mert nem vész el a törvény a paptól, sem a tanács a bölcstől, sem az ige a prófétától! Jertek el és verjük meg őt nyelvvel, és ne hallgassunk egy szavára sem!

Then said they, Come and let us devise devices against Jeremiah; for the law shall not perish from the priest, nor counsel from the wise, nor the word from the prophet. Come, and let us smite him with the tongue, and let us not give heed to any of his words.

Atunci ei au zis: „Veniţi să urzim rele împotriva lui Ieremia! Căci doar nu va pieri Legea din lipsă de preoţi, nici sfatul din lipsă de înţelepţi, nici cuvântul din lipsă de proroci. Haidem să-l ucidem cu vorba şi să nu luăm seama la toate vorbirile lui!” –

Then they said, “Come, let us make plots against Jeremiah, for the law shall not perish from the priest, nor counsel from the wise, nor the word from the prophet. Come, let us strike him with the tongue, and let us not pay attention to any of his words.”

Figyelj rám, URam, és halld meg ellenfeleim szavát!

Figyelmezz reám Uram, és az én pereseimnek szavát [is] halld meg!

Give heed to me, O LORD, and hearken to the voice of them that contend with me.

Ascultă-mă, Doamne, şi auzi glasul potrivnicilor mei!

Hear me, O LORD, and listen to the voice of my adversaries.

Hát lehet rosszal fizetni a jóért? Hiszen vermet ástak nekem! Emlékezzél, amikor eléd álltam, hogy mellettük szóljak, és elfordítsam róluk haragodat!

Hát roszszal fizetnek-é a jóért, hogy [ők] vermet ásnak nékem? Emlékezzél! Előtted álltam, hogy javokra beszéljek, hogy elfordítsam rólok haragodat.

Shall evil be recompensed for good? for they have digged a pit for my soul. Remember that I stood before thee to speak good for them, and to turn away thy wrath from them.

Cu rău se răsplăteşte binele? Căci au săpat o groapă ca să-mi ia viaţa. Adu-Ţi aminte că am stat înaintea Ta ca să vorbesc bine pentru ei şi să abat mânia Ta de la ei.

Should good be repaid with evil? Yet they have dug a pit for my life. Remember how I stood before you to speak good for them, to turn away your wrath from them.

Juttasd azért fiaikat éhínségre, és hányd őket kardélre! Asszonyaik legyenek magtalanná és özveggyé, férfiaik a halál martalékává, ifjaikat pedig fegyver vágja le a harcban.

Azért juttasd fiaikat éhségre és hányd őket fegyver hegyére, hogy legyenek az ő asszonyaik magtalanokká és özvegyekké; férjeik pedig legyenek halál martalékává, ifjaikat fegyver verje le a harczon.

Therefore deliver up their children to the famine, and pour out their blood by the force of the sword; and let their wives be bereaved of their children, and be widows; and let their men be put to death; let their young men be slain by the sword in battle.

De aceea, dă pe copiii lor pradă foametei şi doboară-i cu sabia! Nevestele lor să fie lipsite de copii şi să rămână văduve, şi bărbaţii lor să fie luaţi de ciumă; tinerii lor să fie ucişi de sabie în luptă!

Therefore deliver up their children to famine; give them over to the power of the sword; let their wives become childless and widowed. May their men meet death by pestilence, their youths be struck down by the sword in battle.

Kiáltás hangozzék házaikból, amikor sereggel törsz rájuk hirtelen, mert vermet ástak, hogy elfogjanak engem, és tőrt vetettek lábamnak.

Kiáltás hallattassék házaikból, mikor sereggel törsz reájok hirtelen, mert vermet ástak, hogy elfogjanak engem, és tőrt vetettek lábaimnak.

Let a cry be heard from their houses, when thou shalt bring a troop suddenly upon them: for they have digged a pit to take me, and hid snares for my feet.

Să se audă strigăte ieşind din casele lor, când cetele aduse de Tine vor cădea deodată peste ei! Căci au săpat o groapă ca să mă prindă şi mi-au întins laţuri sub picioare.

May a cry be heard from their houses, when you bring the plunderer suddenly upon them! For they have dug a pit to take me and laid snares for my feet.

Te pedig, URam, ismered minden ellenem való gyilkos szándékukat. Ne kegyelmezz meg bűneik miatt, és ne töröld el vétkeiket színed elől, hanem vesszenek el előtted! Bánj el velük haragod idején!

Te pedig Uram, tudod minden ellenem való gyilkos szándékukat; ne kegyelmezz meg bűneik miatt, és ne töröld ki vétkeiket orczád elől, hanem veszni valók legyenek előtted; a te haragod idején bánj el velök!

Yet, LORD, thou knowest all their counsel against me to slay me: forgive not their iniquity, neither blot out their sin from thy sight, but let them be overthrown before thee; deal thus with them in the time of thine anger.

Dar Tu, Doamne, cunoşti toate uneltirile lor făcute ca să mă omoare. Nu le ierta nelegiuirea şi nu le şterge păcatul dinaintea Ta: ci să fie doborâţi în faţa Ta! Lucrează împotriva lor la vremea mâniei Tale! –

Yet you, O LORD, know all their plotting to kill me. Forgive not their iniquity, nor blot out their sin from your sight. Let them be overthrown before you; deal with them in the time of your anger.
