Go and cry in the ears of Jerusalem, saying, Thus saith the LORD; I remember thee, the kindness of thy youth, the love of thine espousals, when thou wentest after me in the wilderness, in a land that was not sown.

„Du-te şi strigă la urechile cetăţii Ierusalimului: „Aşa vorbeşte Domnul: „Mi-aduc aminte încă de dragostea pe care o aveai când erai tânără, de iubirea ta, când erai logodită, când Mă urmai în pustiu, într-un pământ nesemănat.

“Go and proclaim in the hearing of Jerusalem, Thus says the LORD, “I remember the devotion of your youth, your love as a bride, how you followed me in the wilderness, in a land not sown.

Szent volt Izráel az ÚRnak, termésének zsengéje. Akik ették őt, mind vétkeztek, veszedelem támadt rájuk, azt mondja az ÚR.

Szent volt Izráel az Úrnak, az ő termésének zsengéje; a kik emésztik vala őt, mind vétkeznek vala, veszedelem támada rájok, azt mondja az Úr.

Israel was holiness unto the LORD, and the firstfruits of his increase: all that devour him shall offend; evil shall come upon them, saith the LORD.

Atunci Israel era închinat Domnului, era cele dintâi roade ale Lui; toţi cei ce mâncau din ele se făceau vinovaţi, şi venea nenorocirea peste ei, zice Domnul.”

Israel was holy to the LORD, the firstfruits of his harvest. All who ate of it incurred guilt; disaster came upon them, declares the LORD.”

Hear ye the word of the LORD, O house of Jacob, and all the families of the house of Israel:

Ascultaţi cuvântul Domnului, casa lui Iacov, şi voi, toate familiile casei lui Israel!

Hear the word of the LORD, O house of Jacob, and all the clans of the house of Israel.

Így szól az ÚR: Miféle hamisságot találtak bennem atyáitok, hogy elidegenedtek tőlem, és hiábavalóságok után jártak, és maguk is hiábavalókká lettek?

Így szól az Úr: Micsoda hamisságot találtak bennem a ti atyáitok, hogy elidegenedtek tőlem, és hiábavalóság után jártak, és hiábavalókká lettek?

Thus saith the LORD, What iniquity have your fathers found in me, that they are gone far from me, and have walked after vanity, and are become vain?

Aşa vorbeşte Domnul: „Ce nelegiuire au găsit părinţii voştri în Mine, de s-au depărtat de Mine şi au mers după nimicuri, şi au ajuns ei înşişi de nimic?

Thus says the LORD: “What wrong did your fathers find in me that they went far from me, and went after worthlessness, and became worthless?

Még csak azt sem kérdezték: Hol van az ÚR, aki fölhozott minket Egyiptom földjéről, és a pusztában vezetett minket, a kietlen és zord vidéken, a szárazságnak és a halál árnyékának földjén, ahol nem járnak emberek, és ahol nem lakik halandó?

Még csak azt sem mondták: Hol van az Úr, a ki felhozott minket Égyiptom földéről, a ki vezérelt minket a pusztában, a kietlen és járatlan földön, a szomjúságnak és a halál árnyékának földén, a melyen nem vonult át ember, és a hol halandó nem lakott?

Neither said they, Where is the LORD that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, that led us through the wilderness, through a land of deserts and of pits, through a land of drought, and of the shadow of death, through a land that no man passed through, and where no man dwelt?

Ei n-au întrebat: „Unde este Domnul care ne-a scos din ţara Egiptului, care ne-a povăţuit prin pustiu, printr-un pământ uscat şi plin de gropi, printr-un pământ unde domneşte seceta şi umbra morţii, printr-un pământ pe unde nimeni nu trece şi unde nu locuieşte niciun om?”

They did not say, ‘Where is the LORD who brought us up from the land of Egypt, who led us in the wilderness, in a land of deserts and pits, in a land of drought and deep darkness, in a land that none passes through, where no man dwells?’

A bőség földjére vittelek titeket, hogy annak gyümölcseivel és javaival éljetek. Be is mentetek, de tisztátalanná tettétek földemet, és utálatossá örökségemet.

And I brought you into a plentiful country, to eat the fruit thereof and the goodness thereof; but when ye entered, ye defiled my land, and made mine heritage an abomination.

V-am adus într-o ţară ca o livadă de pomi, ca să-i mâncaţi roadele şi bunătăţile; dar voi aţi venit, Mi-aţi spurcat ţara şi Mi-aţi prefăcut moştenirea într-o urâciune.

And I brought you into a plentiful land to enjoy its fruits and its good things. But when you came in, you defiled my land and made my heritage an abomination.

A papok nem kérdezték: Hol van az ÚR? A törvény magyarázói nem ismertek engem, a pásztorok hűtlenné lettek hozzám, a próféták pedig Baal nevében prófétáltak, és hiábavalóságok után jártak.

A papok nem mondták: Hol van az Úr? A törvény magyarázói nem ismertek engem, és a pásztorok hűtelenekké lettek hozzám, a próféták pedig a Baál által prófétáltak, és azok után jártak, a kik tehetetlenek.

The priests said not, Where is the LORD? and they that handle the law knew me not: the pastors also transgressed against me, and the prophets prophesied by Baal, and walked after things that do not profit.

Preoţii n-au întrebat: „Unde este Domnul?” Păzitorii Legii nu M-au cunoscut, păstorii sufleteşti Mi-au fost necredincioşi, prorocii au prorocit prin Baal şi au alergat după cei ce nu sunt de niciun ajutor.

The priests did not say, ‘Where is the LORD?’ Those who handle the law did not know me; the shepherds transgressed against me; the prophets prophesied by Baal and went after things that do not profit.

Ezért még perbe szállok veletek – mondja az ÚR –, és perelni fogok még unokáitokkal is!

Azért még perbe szállok veletek, mondja az Úr, és perelni fogok a ti fiaitok fiaival [is!]

Wherefore I will yet plead with you, saith the LORD, and with your children's children will I plead.

De aceea, Mă voi certa cu voi, zice Domnul, şi Mă voi certa cu copiii copiilor voştri.

“Therefore I still contend with you, declares the LORD, and with your children’s children I will contend.

Keljetek csak át a kittiek szigeteire, és nézzetek körül; küldjetek Kédárba is, és szorgalmasan vizsgálódjatok! Nézzétek meg, hogy volt-e ott ehhez hasonló!

Menjetek csak át a Kittim szigeteire, és lássátok meg; és küldjetek Kédárba is és szorgalmasan vizsgálódjatok, és lássátok meg, ha volt-é [ott] ehhez hasonló?

For pass over the isles of Chittim, and see; and send unto Kedar, and consider diligently, and see if there be such a thing.

Treceţi în ostroavele Chitim şi priviţi! Trimiteţi la Chedar, uitaţi-vă bine şi vedeţi dacă s-a întâmplat acolo aşa ceva:

For cross to the coasts of Cyprus and see, or send to Kedar and examine with care; see if there has been such a thing.

Cserélt-e nép így isteneket, noha azok nem is istenek? Az én népem pedig fölcserélte dicsőségét hitványsággal!

Ha cserélt-é valamely nemzet isteneket? noha azok nem istenek. Az én népem pedig felcserélte az ő dicsőségét tehetetlenséggel!

Hath a nation changed their gods, which are yet no gods? but my people have changed their glory for that which doth not profit.

şi-a schimbat vreodată un popor dumnezeii, măcar că ei nu sunt dumnezei? Dar poporul Meu şi-a schimbat Slava cu ceva care nu este de niciun ajutor!

Has a nation changed its gods, even though they are no gods? But my people have changed their glory for that which does not profit.

Egek, álmélkodjatok ezen, borzadjatok és rémüljetek meg nagyon – ezt mondja az ÚR.

Álmélkodjatok ezen, oh egek, és borzadjatok és rémüljetek meg igen! azt mondja az Úr.

Be astonished, O ye heavens, at this, and be horribly afraid, be ye very desolate, saith the LORD.

Miraţi-vă de aşa ceva, ceruri, înfioraţi-vă de spaimă şi groază, zice Domnul.

Be appalled, O heavens, at this; be shocked, be utterly desolate, declares the LORD,

Mert kettős gonoszságot követett el népem: elhagytak engem, az élő vizek forrását, hogy víztárolókat ássanak maguknak, és repedezett falú víztartókat ástak, amelyek nem tartják a vizet.

For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water.

Căci poporul Meu a săvârşit un îndoit păcat: M-au părăsit pe Mine, Izvorul apelor vii, şi şi-au săpat puţuri, puţuri crăpate care nu ţin apă.

for my people have committed two evils: they have forsaken me, the fountain of living waters, and hewed out cisterns for themselves, broken cisterns that can hold no water.

Szolga-e Izráel vagy háznál született rabszolga? Miért lett hát prédává?

Szolga-é Izráel, a vagy otthon szülött-é ő? Miért lett prédává?

Is Israel a servant? is he a homeborn slave? why is he spoiled?

Este Israel un rob cumpărat, sau fiu de rob născut în casă? Atunci pentru ce a ajuns de pradă?

“Is Israel a slave? Is he a homeborn servant? Why then has he become a prey?

Oroszlánkölykök ordítanak rá, kieresztik hangjukat, és sivataggá teszik földjét. Pusztává tették városait, mind lakatlanná lettek.

Oroszlánok ordítanak reá, megeresztik hangjokat, és sivataggá teszik földjét; városai szétromboltatnak, lakatlanok.

The young lions roared upon him, and yelled, and they made his land waste: his cities are burned without inhabitant.

Nişte pui de lei mugesc şi strigă împotriva lui şi-i pustiesc ţara; cetăţile îi sunt arse şi fără locuitori.

The lions have roared against him; they have roared loudly. They have made his land a waste; his cities are in ruins, without inhabitant.

Nóf és Tahpanhész fiai is lenyírták hajadat.

Also the children of Noph and Tahapanes have broken the crown of thy head.

Chiar şi cei din Nof şi Tahpanes îţi vor zdrobi creştetul capului.

Moreover, the men of Memphis and Tahpanhes have shaved the crown of your head.

Vajon nem te okoztad-e ezt magadnak? Elhagytad Istenedet, az URat, amikor az úton vezetett téged!

Vajjon nem te szerezted-é ezt magadnak? Elhagytad az Urat, a te Istenedet, a mikor vezérelt téged az úton!

Hast thou not procured this unto thyself, in that thou hast forsaken the LORD thy God, when he led thee by the way?

Nu ţi-ai făcut tu singur lucrul acesta pentru că ai părăsit pe Domnul Dumnezeul tău când te îndrepta pe calea cea bună?

Have you not brought this upon yourself by forsaking the LORD your God, when he led you in the way?

And now what hast thou to do in the way of Egypt, to drink the waters of Sihor? or what hast thou to do in the way of Assyria, to drink the waters of the river?

And now what do you gain by going to Egypt to drink the waters of the Nile? Or what do you gain by going to Assyria to drink the waters of the Euphrates?

A magad gonoszsága büntet meg téged, és saját elpártolásod fenyít meg. Tudd meg hát és lásd meg, milyen gonosz és keserves dolog, hogy elhagytad Istenedet, az URat, és hogy nem félsz engem – azt mondja az ÚR, a Seregek URa.

A magad gonoszsága fenyít meg téged, és a te elpártolásod büntet meg téged. Tudd meg hát és lásd meg: mily gonosz és keserves dolog, hogy elhagytad az Urat, a te Istenedet, és hogy nem félsz engemet, ezt mondja az Úr, a Seregeknek Ura.

Thine own wickedness shall correct thee, and thy backslidings shall reprove thee: know therefore and see that it is an evil thing and bitter, that thou hast forsaken the LORD thy God, and that my fear is not in thee, saith the Lord GOD of hosts.

Tu singur te pedepseşti cu răutatea ta şi tu singur te loveşti cu necredincioşia ta, şi vei şti şi vei vedea ce rău şi amar este să părăseşti pe Domnul Dumnezeul tău şi să n-ai nicio frică de Mine, zice Domnul Dumnezeul oştirilor.

Your evil will chastise you, and your apostasy will reprove you. Know and see that it is evil and bitter for you to forsake the LORD your God; the fear of me is not in you, declares the Lord GOD of hosts.

For of old time I have broken thy yoke, and burst thy bands; and thou saidst, I will not transgress; when upon every high hill and under every green tree thou wanderest, playing the harlot.

Demult ţi-ai sfărâmat jugul, ţi-ai rupt legăturile şi ai zis: „Nu mai vreau să slujesc ca un rob!” Căci pe orice deal înalt şi sub orice copac verde te-ai întins ca o curvă.

“For long ago I broke your yoke and burst your bonds; but you said, ‘I will not serve.’ Yes, on every high hill and under every green tree you bowed down like a whore.

Pedig úgy ültettelek el téged, mint nemes szőlővesszőt, mindenestül hamisítatlan magot. Hogyan változtál át idegen szőlőtő fattyúhajtásává?

Pedig én úgy plántállak vala el téged, mint nemes szőlővesszőt, mindenestől hűséges magot: mimódon változtál hát nékem idegen szőlőtőnek fattyú hajtásává?

Yet I had planted thee a noble vine, wholly a right seed: how then art thou turned into the degenerate plant of a strange vine unto me?

Te sădisem ca o vie minunată şi de cel mai bun soi: cum te-ai schimbat şi te-ai prefăcut într-o coardă de viţă sălbatică?

Yet I planted you a choice vine, wholly of pure seed. How then have you turned degenerate and become a wild vine?

Még ha lúgban mosakodnál is, és rengeteg szappant használnál, álnokságod akkor is szenny marad előttem, mondja az én Uram, az ÚR.

Még ha lúgban mosakodnál is, vagy szappanodat megsokasítanád is, feljegyezve marad a te álnokságod előttem, mondja az Úr Isten.

For though thou wash thee with nitre, and take thee much soap, yet thine iniquity is marked before me, saith the Lord GOD.

Chiar dacă te-ai spăla cu silitră, chiar dacă ai da cu multă sodă, nelegiuirea ta tot ar rămâne scrisă înaintea Mea, zice Domnul Dumnezeu.

Though you wash yourself with lye and use much soap, the stain of your guilt is still before me, declares the Lord GOD.

Hogy is mondhatnád: „Nem lettem tisztátalan, nem jártam a Baalok után!”? Lásd meg utadat a völgyben, ismerd csak be, mit tettél, te gyors lábú tevekanca, amely ide-oda futkos útjain!

Mimódon mondhatnád: Nem undokíttattam meg, nem jártam a Baálok után?! Lásd meg a te útadat a völgyben, ismerd meg csak: mit cselekedtél! Gyorslábú kancza-teve, a mely ide-oda futkos útain.

How canst thou say, I am not polluted, I have not gone after Baalim? see thy way in the valley, know what thou hast done: thou art a swift dromedary traversing her ways;

Cum poţi să zici: „Nu m-am spurcat şi nu m-am dus după Baali”? Priveşte-ţi urma paşilor în vale şi vezi ce ai făcut, dromader iute la mers şi care baţi drumurile şi le încrucişezi!

How can you say, ‘I am not unclean, I have not gone after the Baals’? Look at your way in the valley; know what you have done— a restless young camel running here and there,

Pusztához szokott nőstény vadszamár vagy, amely érzékiségének kívánságában levegő után kapkod. Gerjedelmét kicsoda csillapíthatja le? Aki keresi őt, nem kell fáradnia, megtalálja a maga hónapjában.

Pusztához szokott nőstény vadszamár, a mely érzékiségének kívánságában levegő után kapkod. Gerjedelmét kicsoda csillapíthatja le? Senki ne fáraszsza magát, a ki ezt keresi, megtalálja ezt a maga hónapjában.

A wild ass used to the wilderness, that snuffeth up the wind at her pleasure; in her occasion who can turn her away? all they that seek her will not weary themselves; in her month they shall find her.

Măgăriţă sălbatică deprinsă cu pustiul, care gâfâie în aprinderea patimii ei, cine o va împiedica să-şi facă pofta? Toţi cei ce o caută n-au nevoie să se ostenească: o găsesc în luna ei.

a wild donkey used to the wilderness, in her heat sniffing the wind! Who can restrain her lust? None who seek her need weary themselves; in her month they will find her.

Óvd a lábadat a mezítláb járástól és torkodat a szomjúságtól! De te azt mondod: Hiába, nem lehet, mert idegeneket szeretek, és utánuk járok.

Tartóztasd meg lábadat a mezítelenségtől, és torkodat a szomjúságtól! És te azt mondod: Hiába, nem [lehet]! mert idegeneket szeretek, és utánok járok.

Withhold thy foot from being unshod, and thy throat from thirst: but thou saidst, There is no hope: no; for I have loved strangers, and after them will I go.

Nu te lăsa cu picioarele goale, nu-ţi usca gâtlejul de sete! Dar tu zici: „Degeaba, nu! Căci iubesc dumnezeii străini şi vreau să merg după ei.”

Keep your feet from going unshod and your throat from thirst. But you said, ‘It is hopeless, for I have loved foreigners, and after them I will go.’

Ahogyan megszégyenül a tolvaj, ha rajtakapják, úgy szégyenül meg Izráel háza is; ő maga, királyai, fejedelmei, papjai és prófétái.

A miképen megszégyenül a tolvaj, ha rajtakapják, akképen szégyenül meg Izráel háza: ő maga, az ő királyai, fejedelmei, papjai és prófétái,

As the thief is ashamed when he is found, so is the house of Israel ashamed; they, their kings, their princes, and their priests, and their prophets.

Cum rămâne uluit un hoţ când este prins, aşa de uluiţi vor rămâne cei din casa lui Israel, ei, împăraţii lor, căpeteniile lor, preoţii lor şi prorocii lor.

“As a thief is shamed when caught, so the house of Israel shall be shamed: they, their kings, their officials, their priests, and their prophets,

Akik azt mondják a fának: „Te vagy az én atyám!”, a kőnek pedig: „Te szültél engem!”, bizony hátukat fordítják felém, és nem az arcukat, de nyomorúságuk idején azt mondják majd: Kelj föl, és szabadíts meg minket!

A kik azt mondják a fának: Te vagy az én atyám! a kőnek pedig: Te szűltél engem! Bizony háttal fordulnak felém és nem arczczal, de nyomorúságuk idején azt mondják majd: Kelj föl és szabadíts meg minket!

Saying to a stock, Thou art my father; and to a stone, Thou hast brought me forth: for they have turned their back unto me, and not their face: but in the time of their trouble they will say, Arise, and save us.

Ei zic lemnului: „Tu eşti tatăl meu!”, şi pietrei: „Tu mi-ai dat viaţa!” Căci ei Îmi întorc spatele şi nu se uită la Mine. Dar când sunt în nenorocire, zic: „Scoală-Te şi scapă-ne!”

who say to a tree, ‘You are my father,’ and to a stone, ‘You gave me birth.’ For they have turned their back to me, and not their face. But in the time of their trouble they say, ‘Arise and save us!’

De hol vannak a te isteneid, amelyeket magadnak készítettél? Keljenek föl, ha meg tudnak szabadítani téged nyomorúságod idején, hiszen annyi istened van, Júda, ahány városod!

De hol vannak a te isteneid, a melyeket magadnak készítél? Keljenek fel, ha megszabadíthatnak téged a te nyomorúságod idején; hiszen annyi istened volt, oh Júda, a hány városod!

But where are thy gods that thou hast made thee? let them arise, if they can save thee in the time of thy trouble: for according to the number of thy cities are thy gods, O Judah.

Unde sunt dumnezeii tăi pe care ţi i-ai făcut? Să se scoale ei, dacă pot să te scape în vremea nenorocirii! Căci câte cetăţi ai, atâţia dumnezei ai, Iuda!

But where are your gods that you made for yourself? Let them arise, if they can save you, in your time of trouble; for as many as your cities are your gods, O Judah.

Miért pereltek velem? Mindnyájan hűtlenné lettetek hozzám – ezt mondja az ÚR.

Miért perlekedtek velem? Mindnyájan hűtelenekké lettetek hozzám, mondja az Úr.

Wherefore will ye plead with me? ye all have transgressed against me, saith the LORD.

Pentru ce vă certaţi cu Mine? Toţi Mi-aţi fost necredincioşi, zice Domnul.

“Why do you contend with me? You have all transgressed against me, declares the LORD.

Hiába ostoroztam fiaitokat, a fenyítés nem fogott rajtuk. Fegyveretek úgy emésztette prófétáitokat, mint a pusztító oroszlán.

Hiába ostoroztam fiaitokat, a fenyítés nem fogott rajtok; fegyveretek úgy emésztette prófétáitokat, mint pusztító oroszlán.

In vain have I smitten your children; they received no correction: your own sword hath devoured your prophets, like a destroying lion.

Degeaba v-am lovit copiii, n-au luat seama la certare; sabia voastră a mâncat pe prorocii voştri ca un leu nimicitor.

In vain have I struck your children; they took no correction; your own sword devoured your prophets like a ravening lion.

Ó, te mai nemzedék! Figyelj az ÚR szavára! Pusztaság voltam-e én Izráelnek vagy sötétség földje? Miért mondta az én népem: „Szabadok vagyunk, nem megyünk többé hozzád!”?

Oh te nemzetség! Lásd meg az Úr dolgát! A puszta voltam-é én Izráelnek, avagy a setétség földje? Miért mondotta az én népem: Szabadok vagyunk, nem megyünk többé hozzád!

O generation, see ye the word of the LORD. Have I been a wilderness unto Israel? a land of darkness? wherefore say my people, We are lords; we will come no more unto thee?

O, neam rău de oameni, uitaţi-vă bine la cuvântul Domnului care zice: „Am fost Eu un pustiu pentru Israel sau o ţară plină de întuneric beznă? Pentru ce zice atunci poporul Meu: „Suntem slobozi, nu voim să ne întoarcem la Tine”?

And you, O generation, behold the word of the LORD. Have I been a wilderness to Israel, or a land of thick darkness? Why then do my people say, ‘We are free, we will come no more to you’?

Vajon elfelejtkezik-e ékszereiről a lány, nyakláncairól a menyasszony? De népem számtalanszor elfelejtett engem!

Vajjon elfelejtkezik-é a lány az ő ékszereiről; a menyasszony az ő nyaklánczairól? Az én népem pedig számtalan napokon elfelejtett engem!

Milyen jól tudod, hogyan keress szerelmet; még a rosszakat is tanítottad útjaidra!

Mit szépíted a te útadat, hogy te szeretetet keresel; holott még a gonoszokat is tanítod a te útaidra!

Why trimmest thou thy way to seek love? therefore hast thou also taught the wicked ones thy ways.

Ce bine ştii să-ţi întocmeşti căile când este vorba să cauţi ce iubeşti! Chiar şi la nelegiuire te deprinzi.

Még ruhád szegélyén is található szegény, ártatlan emberek vére; nem mintha betörésen kaptad volna őket, hanem mert ellene voltak mindezeknek.

Yet thou sayest, Because I am innocent, surely his anger shall turn from me. Behold, I will plead with thee, because thou sayest, I have not sinned.

Şi, cu toate acestea, tu zici: „Da, sunt nevinovat! Să se întoarcă acum mânia Lui de la mine!” Iată, Mă voi certa cu tine, pentru că zici: „N-am păcătuit!”

you say, ‘I am innocent; surely his anger has turned from me.’ Behold, I will bring you to judgment for saying, ‘I have not sinned.’

Mit forgolódsz annyira, és változtatgatod utadat? Még Egyiptom miatt is megszégyenülsz, amint megszégyenültél Asszíria miatt.

Mit futkosol oly igen, változtatván útadat? Égyiptom miatt is megszégyenülsz, a mint megszégyenültél Assúr miatt.

Why gaddest thou about so much to change thy way? thou also shalt be ashamed of Egypt, as thou wast ashamed of Assyria.

Pentru ce atâta grabă ca să-ţi schimbi drumul? Din Egipt îţi va veni ruşinea, cum ţi-a venit şi din Asiria!

How much you go about, changing your way! You shall be put to shame by Egypt as you were put to shame by Assyria.

Még onnan is úgy jössz el, hogy kezeddel a fejedet fogod, mert megveti az ÚR bizalmasaidat, és nem leszel velük szerencsés.

Még ettől is elszakadsz s kezeidet fejedre [kulcsolod,] mert útálja az Úr a te bizodalmasaidat, és nem leszel velök szerencsés.

Yea, thou shalt go forth from him, and thine hands upon thine head: for the LORD hath rejected thy confidences, and thou shalt not prosper in them.

Tot de-acolo vei ieşi cu mâinile pe cap; căci Domnul leapădă pe aceia în care te încrezi, şi nu vei izbuti cu ei.

From it too you will come away with your hands on your head, for the LORD has rejected those in whom you trust, and you will not prosper by them.
