Oh that my head were waters, and mine eyes a fountain of tears, that I might weep day and night for the slain of the daughter of my people!

O! de mi-ar fi capul plin cu apă, de mi-ar fi ochii un izvor de lacrimi, aş plânge zi şi noapte pe morţii fiicei poporului meu!

Bárcsak akadna számomra a pusztában utasnak való szállás! Elhagynám népemet, eltávoznék tőlük, mert mindnyájan paráznák, hitszegők gyülekezete!

Bárcsak pusztába vinne engem valaki, utasok szállóhelyére, hogy elhagyhatnám az én népemet, és eltávozhatnám tőlök; mert mindnyájan paráznák, hitszegők gyülekezete!

Oh that I had in the wilderness a lodging place of wayfaring men; that I might leave my people, and go from them! for they be all adulterers, an assembly of treacherous men.

O! dac-aş avea un han de călători în pustiu, aş părăsi pe poporul meu şi m-aş depărta de el! Căci toţi sunt nişte preacurvari şi o ceată de mişei.

Oh that I had in the desert a travelers’ lodging place, that I might leave my people and go away from them! For they are all adulterers, a company of treacherous men.

Felajzották nyelvüket, mint az íjat, hazugsággal, nem pedig igazsággal uralkodnak e földön. Mert gonoszságból gonoszságba térnek, engem pedig nem ismernek – ezt mondja az ÚR.

Felvonták nyelvöket, [mint] kézívöket, hazugsággal és nem igazsággal hatalmasok e földön; mert gonoszságból gonoszságba futnak, engem pedig nem ismernek, azt mondja az Úr.

And they bend their tongues like their bow for lies: but they are not valiant for the truth upon the earth; for they proceed from evil to evil, and they know not me, saith the LORD.

„Au limba întinsă ca un arc şi aruncă minciuna; şi nu prin adevăr sunt ei puternici în ţară; căci merg din răutate în răutate, şi nu Mă cunosc, zice Domnul.

They bend their tongue like a bow; falsehood and not truth has grown strong in the land; for they proceed from evil to evil, and they do not know me, declares the LORD.

Mindenki őrizkedjék felebarátjától, egyetlen testvéreteknek se higgyetek, mert minden testvér meg akar csalni, és minden felebarát rágalmazva jár.

Mindenki őrizkedjék a barátjától, és egyetlen atyátokfiának se higyjetek, mert minden atyafi cselbe csal, és minden barát rágalmazva jár.

Take ye heed every one of his neighbour, and trust ye not in any brother: for every brother will utterly supplant, and every neighbour will walk with slanders.

Fiecare să se păzească de prietenul lui şi să nu se încreadă în niciunul din fraţii săi; căci orice frate caută să înşele şi orice prieten umblă cu bârfe.

Let everyone beware of his neighbor, and put no trust in any brother, for every brother is a deceiver, and every neighbor goes about as a slanderer.

Egyik a másikat csapja be, és nem mondanak igazat. Nyelvüket hazug beszédre tanítják, a gonosztevésben fáradnak el.

Egyik a másik ellen csúfoskodik, és nem szólnak igazat; nyelvöket hazug beszédre tanítják, elfáradtak a gonosztevésben.

And they will deceive every one his neighbour, and will not speak the truth: they have taught their tongue to speak lies, and weary themselves to commit iniquity.

Se trag pe sfoară unii pe alţii şi nu spun adevărul; îşi deprind limba să mintă şi se trudesc să facă rău.

Everyone deceives his neighbor, and no one speaks the truth; they have taught their tongue to speak lies; they weary themselves committing iniquity.

Álnokság közepette van a lakásod; az álnokság miatt tudni sem akarnak felőlem – ezt mondja az ÚR.

A te lakásod az álnokság közepében van; az álnokság miatt nem akarnak tudni felőlem, ezt mondja az Úr.

Thine habitation is in the midst of deceit; through deceit they refuse to know me, saith the LORD.

Locuinţa ta este în mijlocul făţărniciei, şi, de făţarnici ce sunt, nu vor să Mă cunoască – zice Domnul.”

Heaping oppression upon oppression, and deceit upon deceit, they refuse to know me, declares the LORD.

Ezért azt mondja a Seregek URa: Íme, megolvasztom és megpróbálom őket, mert mi mást tehetnék népem leányával?

Azért ezt mondja a Seregek Ura: Ímé, én megolvasztom őket, és megpróbálom őket, mert mit cselekedjem [egyebet] az én népem leánya miatt?

Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts, Behold, I will melt them, and try them; for how shall I do for the daughter of my people?

De aceea, aşa vorbeşte Domnul oştirilor: „Iată, îi voi topi în cuptor şi îi voi încerca. Căci cum aş putea să mă port altfel cu fiica poporului Meu?

Therefore thus says the LORD of hosts: “Behold, I will refine them and test them, for what else can I do, because of my people?

Gyilkos nyíl a nyelvük, szájukkal álnokságot beszélnek. Békességesen szólnak felebarátjukhoz, de szívükben ármánykodnak.

Sebző nyíl a nyelvök, álnokságot beszél; szájával békességesen szól barátjához, a szívében pedig lest hány.

Their tongue is as an arrow shot out; it speaketh deceit: one speaketh peaceably to his neighbour with his mouth, but in heart he layeth his wait.

Limba lor este o săgeată ucigătoare, nu spun decât minciuni; cu gura vorbesc aproapelui lor de pace, şi în fundul inimii îi întind curse.

Their tongue is a deadly arrow; it speaks deceitfully; with his mouth each speaks peace to his neighbor, but in his heart he plans an ambush for him.

Hát ne büntessem meg őket ezekért? – mondja az ÚR. Vajon ne álljon bosszút a lelkem az ilyen népen?

Avagy ne fenyítsem-é meg [őket] ezekért? azt mondja az Úr; vajjon az efféle nemzetségen ne álljon-é bosszút a lelkem?

Shall I not visit them for these things? saith the LORD: shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this?

Să nu-i pedepsesc Eu pentru aceste lucruri, zice Domnul, să nu Mă răzbun Eu pe un asemenea popor?

Shall I not punish them for these things? declares the LORD, and shall I not avenge myself on a nation such as this?

A hegyeken sírást és zokogást támasztok, a puszta rétjein gyászéneket. Mert kiégtek, és senki sem jár át rajtuk, nem hallatszik a nyájak bégetése. Az égi madaraktól az állatokig minden elköltözött és elmenekült.

A hegyeken sírást és zokogást támasztok, és a pusztai ligetekben gyászéneket; mert kiégnek úgy, hogy senki se megy keresztül rajtok, és nem hallják a nyájak bégetését; az ég madaraitól fogva a barmokig minden elköltözik és elmenekül.

For the mountains will I take up a weeping and wailing, and for the habitations of the wilderness a lamentation, because they are burned up, so that none can pass through them; neither can men hear the voice of the cattle; both the fowl of the heavens and the beast are fled; they are gone.

Munţii vreau să-i plâng şi să gem pentru ei, pentru câmpiile pustiite vreau să fac o jelanie; căci sunt arse de tot şi nimeni nu mai trece prin ele; nu se mai aude în ele behăitul turmelor; păsările cerului şi dobitoacele au fugit şi au pierit.

“I will take up weeping and wailing for the mountains, and a lamentation for the pastures of the wilderness, because they are laid waste so that no one passes through, and the lowing of cattle is not heard; both the birds of the air and the beasts have fled and are gone.

Jeruzsálemet kőhalommá teszem, sakálok tanyájává, Júda városait pedig sivataggá változtatom, hogy lakatlan legyen.

Jeruzsálemet pedig kőhalommá teszem, sakálok tanyájává, és Júda városait sivataggá változtatom, hogy lakatlan legyen.

And I will make Jerusalem heaps, and a den of dragons; and I will make the cities of Judah desolate, without an inhabitant.

Voi face şi Ierusalimul un morman de pietre, o vizuină de şacali, şi cetăţile lui Iuda le voi preface într-un pustiu fără locuitori.

I will make Jerusalem a heap of ruins, a lair of jackals, and I will make the cities of Judah a desolation, without inhabitant.”

Kicsoda olyan bölcs férfi, hogy megértse ezeket, és ki az, akihez az ÚR szája szólt, hogy hirdesse azt, hogy miért vész el a föld, és ég ki, mint a puszta, ahol többé senki sem jár?

Kicsoda olyan bölcs férfiú, hogy értse ezeket, [és] a kihez az Úr szája szólt, hogy hirdesse azt, hogy miért vész el a föld, és ég ki, mint a puszta, a melyen senki se menjen keresztül?

Who is the wise man, that may understand this? and who is he to whom the mouth of the LORD hath spoken, that he may declare it, for what the land perisheth and is burned up like a wilderness, that none passeth through?

Unde este omul înţelept care să înţeleagă aceste lucruri? Să spună acela căruia i-a vorbit gura Domnului, pentru ce este nimicită ţara, arsă ca un pustiu pe unde nu mai trece nimeni?”

Who is the man so wise that he can understand this? To whom has the mouth of the LORD spoken, that he may declare it? Why is the land ruined and laid waste like a wilderness, so that no one passes through?

Ezt mondta az ÚR: Mivel elhagyták törvényemet, amelyet eléjük adtam, nem hallgattak szavamra, és nem aszerint jártak,

Monda továbbá az Úr: Mivelhogy elhagyták az én törvényemet, a melyet eléjök adtam, és nem hallgattak az én szómra, és nem jártak a szerint;

And the LORD saith, Because they have forsaken my law which I set before them, and have not obeyed my voice, neither walked therein;

Domnul zice: „Pentru că au părăsit Legea Mea pe care le-o pusesem înainte; pentru că n-au ascultat glasul Meu şi nu l-au urmat;

And the LORD says: “Because they have forsaken my law that I set before them, and have not obeyed my voice or walked in accord with it,

hanem kevély szívük után és a Baalok után jártak, amire atyáik tanították őket,

Hanem jártak az ő kevély szívök után és a Baálok után, a mikre atyáik tanították őket:

But have walked after the imagination of their own heart, and after Baalim, which their fathers taught them:

ci au umblat după aplecările inimii lor şi au mers după Baali cum i-au învăţat părinţii lor.”

but have stubbornly followed their own hearts and have gone after the Baals, as their fathers taught them.

azért azt mondja a Seregek URa, Izráel Istene: Íme, ürömmel etetem meg ezt a népet, és méreggel itatom meg őket.

Azért, ezt mondja a Seregek Ura, Izráel Istene: Ímé, én megétetem őket, ezt a népet, ürömmel, és megitatom őket mérges vízzel.

Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will feed them, even this people, with wormwood, and give them water of gall to drink.

De aceea, aşa vorbeşte Domnul oştirilor, Dumnezeul lui Israel: „Iată, voi hrăni poporul acesta cu pelin şi-i voi da să bea ape otrăvite.

Therefore thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: Behold, I will feed this people with bitter food, and give them poisonous water to drink.

Szétszórom őket olyan nemzetek közé, amelyeket nem ismertek sem ők, sem atyáik, és fegyvert küldök utánuk, amíg meg nem semmisítem őket.

És szétszórom őket a nemzetek között, a melyeket nem ismertek sem ők, sem atyáik, és utánok küldöm a fegyvert, a míg megsemmisítem őket.

I will scatter them also among the heathen, whom neither they nor their fathers have known: and I will send a sword after them, till I have consumed them.

Îi voi risipi printre nişte neamuri pe care nu le-au cunoscut nici ei, nici părinţii lor şi voi trimite sabia în urma lor, până-i voi nimici.”

I will scatter them among the nations whom neither they nor their fathers have known, and I will send the sword after them, until I have consumed them.”

Azt mondja a Seregek URa: Gondoskodjatok siratóasszonyokról, és hívjátok őket, hogy jöjjenek el! Küldjetek hozzáértő asszonyokért, hogy jöjjenek el.

Ezt mondja a Seregek Ura: Figyelmezzetek reá, és hívjátok a sirató asszonyokat, hogy jőjjenek el, és a bölcs asszonyokhoz is küldjetek, hogy jőjjenek el,

Thus saith the LORD of hosts, Consider ye, and call for the mourning women, that they may come; and send for cunning women, that they may come:

Aşa vorbeşte Domnul oştirilor: „Căutaţi şi chemaţi plângătoarele să vină! Trimiteţi la femeile iscusite, ca să vină!

Thus says the LORD of hosts: “Consider, and call for the mourning women to come; send for the skillful women to come;

Siessenek, és fogjanak síráshoz értünk, és a mi szemünk is hullasson könnyeket, szempilláinkról áradjon a könny!

És siessenek és fogjanak síráshoz miattunk, és a mi szemeink [is] hullassanak könyeket, és szempilláink vizet ömleszszenek!

And let them make haste, and take up a wailing for us, that our eyes may run down with tears, and our eyelids gush out with waters.

Să se grăbească să facă o cântare de jale asupra noastră ca să ne curgă lacrimile din ochi şi să curgă apa din pleoapele noastre!

let them make haste and raise a wailing over us, that our eyes may run down with tears and our eyelids flow with water.

Mert siratás hangja hallatszik a Sionról: Ó, hogy elpusztultunk! Igen megszégyenültünk! El kellett hagynunk e földet, mert szétdúlták lakhelyeinket!

Mert a Sionról siralomnak szava hallatszik: Oh, hogy elpusztultunk! Igen megszégyenültünk, mert elhagyjuk [e] földet, mert széthányták lakhelyeinket!

For a voice of wailing is heard out of Zion, How are we spoiled! we are greatly confounded, because we have forsaken the land, because our dwellings have cast us out.

Căci strigăte de jale se aud din Sion: „Cât suntem de prăpădiţi! Cât de jalnic suntem acoperiţi de ruşine! Trebuie să părăsim ţara, căci ne-au surpat locuinţele!” –

For a sound of wailing is heard from Zion: ‘How we are ruined! We are utterly shamed, because we have left the land, because they have cast down our dwellings.’”

Halljátok meg hát az ÚR szavát, ti asszonyok, és fogja föl fületek szájának beszédét; tanítsátok meg leányaitokat a sírásra, és egyik asszony a másikat e gyászdalra:

Bizony halljátok meg, ti asszonyok, az Úrnak szavát, és vegye be a ti fületek az ő szájának beszédét, és tanítsátok meg leányaitokat a sírásra, és egyik asszony a másikat a jajgatásra;

Yet hear the word of the LORD, O ye women, and let your ear receive the word of his mouth, and teach your daughters wailing, and every one her neighbour lamentation.

Ascultaţi, femeilor, cuvântul Domnului şi să prindă urechea voastră ce spune gura Lui! Învăţaţi pe copiii voştri cântece de jale, învăţaţi-vă plângeri unele pe altele!

Hear, O women, the word of the LORD, and let your ear receive the word of his mouth; teach to your daughters a lament, and each to her neighbor a dirge.

Feljött a halál az ablakainkba, bejött a palotáinkba, kipusztította a gyermekeket az utcáról, az ifjakat a terekről.

Mert feljött a halál a mi ablakainkra, bejött a mi palotáinkba, hogy kipusztítsa a gyermekeket az útakról, az ifjakat az utczákról.

For death is come up into our windows, and is entered into our palaces, to cut off the children from without, and the young men from the streets.

Căci moartea s-a suit pe ferestrele noastre, a pătruns în casele noastre împărăteşti, a nimicit pe copii pe uliţă, şi pe tineri, în pieţe.

For death has come up into our windows; it has entered our palaces, cutting off the children from the streets and the young men from the squares.

Szólj! – ezt mondja az ÚR. Úgy hever ott az emberek holtteste, mint ganéj a mezőn, és mint kéve az arató után, és nincs, aki összegyűjtse.

Szólj! ezt mondja az Úr, és az emberek holtteste hever, mint a ganéj a mezőn, és mint a kéve az arató után, és nincs, a ki összegyűjtse.

Speak, Thus saith the LORD, Even the carcases of men shall fall as dung upon the open field, and as the handful after the harvestman, and none shall gather them.

„Spune: „Aşa vorbeşte Domnul: „Trupurile moarte ale oamenilor vor cădea ca gunoiul pe câmpii, cum cade înapoia secerătorului un snop pe care nu-l strânge nimeni!”

Speak: “Thus declares the LORD, ‘The dead bodies of men shall fall like dung upon the open field, like sheaves after the reaper, and none shall gather them.’”

Ezt mondja az ÚR: A bölcs ne dicsekedjék a bölcsességével, az erős ne dicsekedjék az erejével, a gazdag ne dicsekedjék a gazdagságával!

Ezt mondja az Úr: Ne dicsekedjék a bölcs az ő bölcseségével, az erős se dicsekedjék az erejével, a gazdag se dicsekedjék gazdagságával;

Thus saith the LORD, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches:

Aşa vorbeşte Domnul: „Înţeleptul să nu se laude cu înţelepciunea lui, cel tare să nu se laude cu tăria lui, bogatul să nu se laude cu bogăţia lui.

Thus says the LORD: “Let not the wise man boast in his wisdom, let not the mighty man boast in his might, let not the rich man boast in his riches,

Hanem aki dicsekszik, azzal dicsekedjék, hogy értelmes, és ismer engem, hogy én vagyok az ÚR, aki kegyelmet, jogot és igazságot gyakorlok e földön, mert ezekben telik kedvem – így szól az ÚR.

Hanem azzal dicsekedjék, a ki dicsekedik, hogy értelmes és ismer engem, hogy én vagyok az Úr, a ki kegyelmet, ítéletet és igazságot gyakorlok e földön; mert ezekben telik kedvem, azt mondja az Úr.

But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the LORD which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the LORD.

Ci cel ce se laudă să se laude că are pricepere şi că Mă cunoaşte, că ştie că Eu sunt Domnul care fac milă, judecată şi dreptate pe pământ! Căci în acestea găsesc plăcere Eu, zice Domnul.

but let him who boasts boast in this, that he understands and knows me, that I am the LORD who practices steadfast love, justice, and righteousness in the earth. For in these things I delight, declares the LORD.”

Íme, eljönnek a napok – ezt mondja az ÚR –, és megbüntetek minden körülmetéltet a körülmetéletlenekkel együtt.

Ímé, eljőnek a napok, azt mondja az Úr, és megfenyítek minden körülmetélkedettet a körülmetéletlenekkel együtt:

Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will punish all them which are circumcised with the uncircumcised;

Iată, vin zilele, zice Domnul, când voi pedepsi pe toţi cei tăiaţi împrejur, care nu sunt tăiaţi împrejur cu inima,

“Behold, the days are coming, declares the LORD, when I will punish all those who are circumcised merely in the flesh—

Egyiptomot és Júdát, Edómot és Ammón fiait, Móábot és mindazokat, akiknek nyírott hajuk van, és a pusztában laknak. Mert mindezek a nemzetek körülmetéletlenek, Izráel egész háza pedig körülmetéletlen szívű.

Égyiptomot és Júdát, Edomot és az Ammon fiait, Moábot és mindazokat, a kik nyírott üstökűek [és] a pusztában laknak; mert mindez a nemzet körülmetéletlen, és Izráelnek egész háza [is] körülmetéletlen szívű.

Egypt, and Judah, and Edom, and the children of Ammon, and Moab, and all that are in the utmost corners, that dwell in the wilderness: for all these nations are uncircumcised, and all the house of Israel are uncircumcised in the heart.

pe egipteni, pe iudei, pe edomiţi, pe amoniţi, pe moabiţi, pe toţi cei ce îşi rad colţurile bărbii, pe cei ce locuiesc în pustiu; căci toate neamurile sunt netăiate împrejur, şi toată casa lui Israel are inima netăiată împrejur.

Egypt, Judah, Edom, the sons of Ammon, Moab, and all who dwell in the desert who cut the corners of their hair, for all these nations are uncircumcised, and all the house of Israel are uncircumcised in heart.”
