Egyiptomról, Nékó fáraónak, Egyiptom királyának seregéről, amelyet megvert Nebukadneccar, a babilóni király az Eufrátesz folyó mellett, Karkemisnél Jójákimnak, Jósiás fiának, Júda királyának a negyedik esztendejében:

Égyiptom felől, a Nékó Faraónak, Égyiptom királyának serege felől, a mely az Eufrátes folyó mellett, Kárkémisben vala, a melyet megvere Nabukodonozor, a babiloni király, Jójákimnak, Jósiás fiának, Júda királyának negyedik esztendejében:

Against Egypt, against the army of Pharaohnecho king of Egypt, which was by the river Euphrates in Carchemish, which Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon smote in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah.

Készítsétek a pajzsot és a vértet, és induljatok a harcba!

Készítsetek vértet és paizst, és induljatok a harczra.

Order ye the buckler and shield, and draw near to battle.

„Pregătiţi scutul şi pavăza şi mergeţi la luptă;

“Prepare buckler and shield, and advance for battle!

Nyergeljétek a lovakat, és üljetek föl, ti lovasok! Álljatok csatasorba sisakokban! Élesítsétek a lándzsákat, öltsétek föl a páncélokat!

Nyergeljétek a lovakat, és üljetek fel ti lovasok, és legyetek sisakokban. Tisztítsátok a kopjákat, öltsétek fel a pánczélokat.

Harness the horses; and get up, ye horsemen, and stand forth with your helmets; furbish the spears, and put on the brigandines.

înhămaţi caii şi încălecaţi, călăreţi; arătaţi-vă cu coifurile voastre, lustruiţi-vă suliţele, îmbrăcaţi-vă cu platoşa!…

Harness the horses; mount, O horsemen! Take your stations with your helmets, polish your spears, put on your armor!

Mit látok? Ők megriadva hátrálni kezdenek, harcosaikat leverik, futásnak erednek, és vissza sem tekintenek! Félelem mindenfelől! – azt mondja az ÚR.

Mit látok? Ők megriadva hátrálni kezdenek, vitézeik leveretnek és futásnak erednek, és vissza sem tekintenek! Mindenfelől félelem, azt mondja az Úr.

Wherefore have I seen them dismayed and turned away back? and their mighty ones are beaten down, and are fled apace, and look not back: for fear was round about, saith the LORD.

Ce văd? Li-e frică, dau înapoi; vitejii lor sunt bătuţi: fug fără să se mai uite înapoi… Groaza se răspândeşte în toate părţile, zice Domnul.

Why have I seen it? They are dismayed and have turned backward. Their warriors are beaten down and have fled in haste; they look not back— terror on every side! declares the LORD.

Nem futhat el a gyors, és a vitéz sem menekülhet el, mert északon, az Eufrátesz folyó mellett megbotlanak és elhullanak.

Nem futhat el a gyors, és az erős sem menekülhet el; észak felé, az Eufrátes folyó mellett legyőzetnek és elhullanak.

Let not the swift flee away, nor the mighty man escape; they shall stumble, and fall toward the north by the river Euphrates.

Cel mai iute nu scapă prin fugă, cel mai viteaz nu poate scăpa! La miazănoapte, pe malurile Eufratului, se clatină şi cad!

“The swift cannot flee away, nor the warrior escape; in the north by the river Euphrates they have stumbled and fallen.

Ki az, aki emelkedik, mint a Nílus, és olyan, mint az áradó vizű folyamok?

Kicsoda ez, a ki növekedik, mint a folyóvíz, és olyan, mint a megháborodott vizű folyamok?

Who is this that cometh up as a flood, whose waters are moved as the rivers?

Cine este acela care înaintează ca Nilul şi ale cărui ape se rostogolesc ca râurile?

“Who is this, rising like the Nile, like rivers whose waters surge?

Egyiptom emelkedik úgy, mint a Nílus, és mint az áradó vizű folyamok, mert így szól: Fölemelkedem, elárasztom a földet, elveszítem a városokat és a bennük lakókat!

Égyiptom növekedik úgy, mint a folyóvíz és mint a megháborodott vizű folyamok, mert ezt mondja: Felmegyek, ellepem a földet, elvesztem a várost és a benne lakókat.

Egypt riseth up like a flood, and his waters are moved like the rivers; and he saith, I will go up, and will cover the earth; I will destroy the city and the inhabitants thereof.

Este Egiptul. El se umflă ca Nilul, şi apele lui se rostogolesc ca râurile. El zice: „Mă voi sui, voi acoperi ţara, voi nimici cetăţile şi pe locuitorii lor.”

Egypt rises like the Nile, like rivers whose waters surge. He said, ‘I will rise, I will cover the earth, I will destroy cities and their inhabitants.’

Nyargaljatok, lovak, robogjatok, harci szekerek, vonuljanak ki a harcosok, a szerecsenek és a líbiaiak, akik pajzsot viselnek, és a lúdiak, akik íjat hordanak!

Jőjjetek fel lovak, és zörögjetek szekerek, jőjjenek ki a vitézek, a szerecsenek és a Libiabeliek, a kik paizst viselnek, és a Lidiabeliek, a kik kézívet viselnek!

Come up, ye horses; and rage, ye chariots; and let the mighty men come forth; the Ethiopians and the Libyans, that handle the shield; and the Lydians, that handle and bend the bow.

Suiţi-vă, cai! Năpustiţi-vă, care! Să iasă vitejii cei din Etiopia şi din Put care mânuiesc scutul şi cei din Lud care mânuiesc şi întind arcul!

Advance, O horses, and rage, O chariots! Let the warriors go out: men of Cush and Put who handle the shield, men of Lud, skilled in handling the bow.

Az a nap pedig az ÚR, a Seregek URa bosszúállásának napja, hogy bosszút álljon ellenségein. Elemészt a fegyver, jóllakik és megrészegül a vérüktől, mert véresáldozata az az ÚRnak, a Seregek URának észak földjén, az Eufrátesz folyó mellett.

Az a nap pedig az Úrnak, a Seregek Urának büntető napja, hogy bosszút álljon ellenségein. És a fegyver felemészt és jól lakik és megrészegül az ő vérökkel, mert áldozatja lesz az Úrnak, a Seregek Urának észak földén, az Eufrátes folyó mellett.

For this is the day of the Lord GOD of hosts, a day of vengeance, that he may avenge him of his adversaries: and the sword shall devour, and it shall be satiate and made drunk with their blood: for the Lord GOD of hosts hath a sacrifice in the north country by the river Euphrates.

Această zi este a Domnului Dumnezeului oştirilor; este o zi de răzbunare, în care Se răzbună El pe vrăjmaşii Săi. Sabia mănâncă, se satură şi se îmbată cu sângele lor. Căci Domnul Dumnezeul oştirilor are o jertfă în ţara de la miazănoapte, pe malurile Eufratului.

That day is the day of the Lord GOD of hosts, a day of vengeance, to avenge himself on his foes. The sword shall devour and be sated and drink its fill of their blood. For the Lord GOD of hosts holds a sacrifice in the north country by the river Euphrates.

Menj föl Gileádba, és végy balzsamot, Egyiptom szűz leánya! Hiába a sok orvosság, nincs gyógyír számodra!

Go up into Gilead, and take balm, O virgin, the daughter of Egypt: in vain shalt thou use many medicines; for thou shalt not be cured.

Suie-te în Galaad şi adu leac alinător, fecioară, fiica Egiptului! Degeaba întrebuinţezi atâtea leacuri, căci nu este vindecare pentru tine!

Go up to Gilead, and take balm, O virgin daughter of Egypt! In vain you have used many medicines; there is no healing for you.

Hallják gyalázatodat a népek, és kiáltásoddal betelt a föld, mert harcos harcosba ütközött, és együtt esnek el mindketten.

The nations have heard of thy shame, and thy cry hath filled the land: for the mighty man hath stumbled against the mighty, and they are fallen both together.

The nations have heard of your shame, and the earth is full of your cry; for warrior has stumbled against warrior; they have both fallen together.”

Ez a beszéd, amelyet Jeremiás prófétának mondott az ÚR Nebukadneccar babilóni király eljöveteléről, aki Egyiptom földjének leverésére jött:

Az a szó, a melyet az Úr Jeremiás prófétához szólott, Nabukodonozornak, a babiloni királynak eljövetele felől az Égyiptom földének megverésére:

The word that the LORD spake to Jeremiah the prophet, how Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon should come and smite the land of Egypt.

Iată cuvântul spus de Domnul către prorocul Ieremia despre venirea lui Nebucadneţar, împăratul Babilonului, ca să lovească ţara Egiptului:

The word that the LORD spoke to Jeremiah the prophet about the coming of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon to strike the land of Egypt:

Hirdessétek Egyiptomban, és híreszteljétek Migdólban, híreszteljétek Nófban és Tahpanhészban! Ezt mondjátok: Állj elő, és készítsd föl magadat, mert fegyver pusztít körülötted!

Hirdessétek Égyiptomban és híreszteljétek Migdólban, híreszteljétek Nófban és Táfnesben, és ezt mondjátok: Állj elő, és készítsd fel magadat, mert fegyver emészti meg a te kerületeidet.

Declare ye in Egypt, and publish in Migdol, and publish in Noph and in Tahpanhes: say ye, Stand fast, and prepare thee; for the sword shall devour round about thee.

„Daţi de ştire în Egipt, daţi de veste la Migdol şi vestiţi la Nof şi la Tahpanes! Ziceţi: „Scoală-te, pregăteşte-te, căci sabia mănâncă în jurul tău!”

“Declare in Egypt, and proclaim in Migdol; proclaim in Memphis and Tahpanhes; say, ‘Stand ready and be prepared, for the sword shall devour around you.’

Miért verték le hőseidet? Nem állhattak meg, mert az ÚR elkergette őket.

Miért verettek le a te erőseid? Nem állhattak meg, mert az Úr rettentette el őket.

Why are thy valiant men swept away? they stood not, because the LORD did drive them.

Pentru ce ţi-au căzut vitejii tăi? Nu pot să ţină piept, căci Domnul îi răstoarnă!

Why are your mighty ones face down? They do not stand because the LORD thrust them down.

Sokan tántorogtak, egyik a másikra hullott, és ezt mondták: Keljünk föl, menjünk vissza népünkhöz és szülőföldünkre az erőszakos fegyver elől!

Megsokasította a tántorgót, egyik a másikra hullott, és ezt mondották: Kelj fel, és menjünk vissza a mi népünkhöz és a mi szülőföldünkre az erőszakoskodó fegyver elől.

He made many to fall, yea, one fell upon another: and they said, Arise, and let us go again to our own people, and to the land of our nativity, from the oppressing sword.

El face pe mulţi să se poticnească; cad unul peste altul şi zic: „Haidem să ne întoarcem la poporul nostru, în ţara noastră de naştere, departe de sabia nimicitorului!”

He made many stumble, and they fell, and they said one to another, ‘Arise, and let us go back to our own people and to the land of our birth, because of the sword of the oppressor.’

Ezt kiáltják akkor: A fáraó, Egyiptom királya csak egy hangoskodó, aki elszalasztotta a rendelt alkalmat.

They did cry there, Pharaoh king of Egypt is but a noise; he hath passed the time appointed.

Acolo strigă: „Faraon, împăratul Egiptului, nu este decât un pustiu, căci a lăsat să treacă clipa potrivită.”

Call the name of Pharaoh, king of Egypt, ‘Noisy one who lets the hour go by.’

Élek én – ezt mondja a Király, akinek Seregek URa a neve –, hogy eljövetele olyan bizonyos, ahogyan ott áll a Tábór-hegy a hegyek között és a Karmel a tengernél.

Élek én, azt mondja a király, a kinek a neve Seregek Ura, hogy mint a Táborhegy [áll] a hegyek között, és mint a Kármel a tenger között, úgy jő el.

As I live, saith the King, whose name is the LORD of hosts, Surely as Tabor is among the mountains, and as Carmel by the sea, so shall he come.

Pe viaţa Mea! – zice Împăratul al cărui nume este Domnul oştirilor: Ca Taborul printre munţi, cum înaintează Carmelul în mare, aşa va veni.

“As I live, declares the King, whose name is the LORD of hosts, like Tabor among the mountains and like Carmel by the sea, shall one come.

Készítsd elő holmidat a fogságba menetelhez, Egyiptom leányának lakosa, mert elpusztul Nóf, rommá és lakatlanná lesz.

Készíts magadnak elköltözésre való edényeket, Égyiptom leányának lakosa, mert Nóf elpusztul és megég, lakatlanná lesz.

O thou daughter dwelling in Egypt, furnish thyself to go into captivity: for Noph shall be waste and desolate without an inhabitant.

Fă-ţi calabalâcul pentru robie, locuitoare, fiica Egiptului! Căci Noful va ajunge un pustiu, va fi pustiit, şi nu va mai avea locuitori.

Prepare yourselves baggage for exile, O inhabitants of Egypt! For Memphis shall become a waste, a ruin, without inhabitant.

Igen szép üszőborjú Egyiptom, de bögöly tör rá észak felől.

Szép üszőtinó Égyiptom, [de] pusztulás tör reá észak felől.

Egypt is like a very fair heifer, but destruction cometh; it cometh out of the north.

Egiptul este o juncană foarte frumoasă… Nimicitorul vine de la miazănoapte peste ea…

“A beautiful heifer is Egypt, but a biting fly from the north has come upon her.

Még zsoldosai is olyanok benne, mint a hizlalt borjúk, de ők is meghátrálnak, mindnyájan elfutnak, meg nem állnak, ha eljön rájuk romlásuk napja, büntetésük ideje.

Még zsoldosai is olyanok ő közöttök, mint a hízlalt borjúk, de ők is meghátrálnak, egyetemlegesen elfutnak, meg nem állanak, mert romlásuk napja jön reájok, az ő megfenyíttetésök ideje.

Also her hired men are in the midst of her like fatted bullocks; for they also are turned back, and are fled away together: they did not stand, because the day of their calamity was come upon them, and the time of their visitation.

Simbriaşii lui de asemenea sunt ca nişte viţei îngrăşaţi în mijlocul lui. Dar şi ei dau dosul, fug toţi fără să poată ţine piept. Căci vine peste ei ziua nenorocirii lor, ziua pedepsirii lor!

Even her hired soldiers in her midst are like fattened calves; yes, they have turned and fled together; they did not stand, for the day of their calamity has come upon them, the time of their punishment.

Hangja, mint a sziszegő kígyóé, mert nagy sereggel indulnak, és szekercékkel mennek ellene, mint a favágók.

Az ő szava mint a csúszó kígyóé, mert nagy sereggel indulnak, és szekerczékkel jőnek ellene, mint a favágók.

The voice thereof shall go like a serpent; for they shall march with an army, and come against her with axes, as hewers of wood.

I se aude glasul ca fâşâitul unui şarpe! Căci ei înaintează cu o oştire şi vin cu topoare împotriva lui ca nişte tăietori de lemne.

“She makes a sound like a serpent gliding away; for her enemies march in force and come against her with axes like those who fell trees.

Kivágják erdejét – azt mondja az ÚR –, bármennyire áthatolhatatlan. Mert többen vannak, mint a sáskák, és megszámlálhatatlanok.

They shall cut down her forest, saith the LORD, though it cannot be searched; because they are more than the grasshoppers, and are innumerable.

Tăiaţi-i pădurea, zice Domnul, măcar că este fără capăt! Căci sunt mai mulţi decât lăcustele şi nu-i poţi număra!

They shall cut down her forest, declares the LORD, though it is impenetrable, because they are more numerous than locusts; they are without number.

The daughter of Egypt shall be confounded; she shall be delivered into the hand of the people of the north.

Fiica Egiptului este acoperită de ruşine şi este dată în mâinile poporului de la miazănoapte.”

The daughter of Egypt shall be put to shame; she shall be delivered into the hand of a people from the north.”

Azt mondja a Seregek URa, Izráel Istene: Íme, megbüntetem Ámón istent Nó városából, a fáraót és Egyiptomot, isteneit és királyait; a fáraót és azokat, akik benne bíznak.

Ezt mondja a Seregek Ura, az Izráel Istene: Ímé, én megfenyítem Nó- Ammont és a Faraót és Égyiptomot és az ő isteneit és királyait, mind a Faraót, mind azokat, a kik bíznak benne.

The LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, saith; Behold, I will punish the multitude of No, and Pharaoh, and Egypt, with their gods, and their kings; even Pharaoh, and all them that trust in him:

Domnul oştirilor, Dumnezeul lui Israel, zice: „Iată, voi pedepsi pe Amon din No, pe faraon şi Egiptul, pe dumnezeii şi împăraţii lui, pe faraon şi pe cei ce se încred în el.

The LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, said: “Behold, I am bringing punishment upon Amon of Thebes, and Pharaoh and Egypt and her gods and her kings, upon Pharaoh and those who trust in him.

Odaadom őket a lelküket keresők kezébe, Nebukadneccarnak, a babilóni királynak és szolgáinak a kezébe. De azután megint úgy laknak ott, mint azelőtt – ezt mondja az ÚR.

Odaadom őket az ő lelkök keresőinek kezébe, és Nabukodonozornak, a babiloni királynak kezébe, és az ő szolgáinak kezébe; de azután úgy lakoznak abban, mint azelőtt, azt mondja az Úr.

And I will deliver them into the hand of those that seek their lives, and into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, and into the hand of his servants: and afterward it shall be inhabited, as in the days of old, saith the LORD.

Îi voi da în mâinile celor ce vor să-i omoare, în mâinile lui Nebucadneţar, împăratul Babilonului, şi în mâinile slujitorilor lui. După aceea însă Egiptul va fi locuit ca în zilele de altădată, zice Domnul.

I will deliver them into the hand of those who seek their life, into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon and his officers. Afterward Egypt shall be inhabited as in the days of old, declares the LORD.

De te ne félj, szolgám, Jákób, és ne rettegj, Izráel, mert íme, megszabadítalak téged a messzeségből és utódaidat is fogságuk földjéről. Visszatér Jákób, nyugalmat talál, gondtalanul él, és nem lesz, aki megijessze.

És te ne félj, oh én szolgám Jákób, és ne rettegj Izráel, mert ímé, én megszabadítlak téged messziről, és a te magodat is az ő fogságuk földéről, és visszatér Jákób és megnyugszik és békességben lesz, és nem lesz, a ki megijeszsze.

But fear not thou, O my servant Jacob, and be not dismayed, O Israel: for, behold, I will save thee from afar off, and thy seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and be in rest and at ease, and none shall make him afraid.

Iar tu, robul Meu Iacov, nu te teme şi nu te înspăimânta, Israele! Căci te voi izbăvi din pământul depărtat şi-ţi voi izbăvi sămânţa din ţara în care este roabă. Iacov se va întoarce iarăşi, va locui liniştit şi fără teamă şi nu-l va mai tulbura nimeni.

“But fear not, O Jacob my servant, nor be dismayed, O Israel, for behold, I will save you from far away, and your offspring from the land of their captivity. Jacob shall return and have quiet and ease, and none shall make him afraid.

Ne félj, szolgám, Jákób – ezt mondja az ÚR –, mert veled vagyok! Véget vetek minden nemzetnek, amelyek közé kivetettelek, de neked nem vetek véget, hanem megfenyítlek téged igazságosan, mert nem hagyhatlak teljesen büntetés nélkül.

Ne félj te, oh én szolgám Jákób, azt mondja az Úr, mert én veled vagyok, mert véget vetek minden nemzetnek, a kik közé kivetettelek téged, néked pedig nem vetek véget, hanem megverlek téged ítélettel, mert nem hagyhatlak teljesen büntetés nélkül.

Fear thou not, O Jacob my servant, saith the LORD: for I am with thee; for I will make a full end of all the nations whither I have driven thee: but I will not make a full end of thee, but correct thee in measure; yet will I not leave thee wholly unpunished.

Nu te teme, robul Meu Iacov, zice Domnul; căci Eu sunt cu tine. Voi nimici toate neamurile printre care te-am împrăştiat, dar pe tine nu te voi nimici; ci te voi pedepsi cu dreptate, nu pot să te las nepedepsit.”

Fear not, O Jacob my servant, declares the LORD, for I am with you. I will make a full end of all the nations to which I have driven you, but of you I will not make a full end. I will discipline you in just measure, and I will by no means leave you unpunished.”
