Akkor a főpap megkérdezte: Valóban így van ez?

Monda pedig a főpap: Vajjon így vannak-é hát ezek?

Then said the high priest, Are these things so?

Marele preot a zis: „Aşa stau lucrurile?”

And the high priest said, “Are these things so?”

Ő pedig azt mondta: Férfiak, atyámfiai és atyák, hallgassatok meg! A dicsőség Istene megjelent a mi atyánknak, Ábrahámnak, amikor Mezopotámiában volt, mielőtt Háránban letelepedett,

Ő pedig monda: Férfiak, atyámfiai és atyák, halljátok meg! A dicsőségnek Istene megjelenék a mi atyánknak, Ábrahámnak, mikor Mezopotámiában vala, minekelőtte Háránban lakott,

And he said, Men, brethren, and fathers, hearken; The God of glory appeared unto our father Abraham, when he was in Mesopotamia, before he dwelt in Charran,

Ştefan a răspuns: „Fraţilor şi părinţilor, ascultaţi! Dumnezeul slavei S-a arătat părintelui nostru Avraam, când era în Mesopotamia, înainte ca să se aşeze în Haran.

And Stephen said: “Brothers and fathers, hear me. The God of glory appeared to our father Abraham when he was in Mesopotamia, before he lived in Haran,

és azt mondta neki: Menj ki a te földedről és rokonságod közül, és menj arra a földre, amelyet mutatok neked!

És monda néki: Eredj ki a te földedből és a te nemzetséged közül, és jer arra a földre, a melyet mutatok néked.

And said unto him, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and come into the land which I shall shew thee.

Şi i-a zis: „Ieşi din ţara ta şi din familia ta şi du-te în ţara pe care ţi-o voi arăta.”

and said to him, ‘Go out from your land and from your kindred and go into the land that I will show you.’

Akkor kiment a káldeusok földjéről, és letelepedett Háránban, majd miután meghalt az atyja, Isten áthozta őt erre a földre, amelyen ti most laktok.

Akkor kimenvén a Káldeusok földéből, lakozék Háránban: és onnét, minekutána megholt az ő atyja, kihozta őt e földre, a melyen ti most laktok:

Then came he out of the land of the Chaldaeans, and dwelt in Charran: and from thence, when his father was dead, he removed him into this land, wherein ye now dwell.

El a ieşit atunci din ţara haldeilor şi s-a aşezat în Haran. De acolo, după moartea tatălui său, Dumnezeu l-a strămutat în ţara aceasta, în care locuiţi voi acum.

Then he went out from the land of the Chaldeans and lived in Haran. And after his father died, God removed him from there into this land in which you are now living.

Itt azonban nem adott neki még egy talpalatnyi örökséget sem, de azt ígérte, hogy majd neki adja azt birtokul és utódjának – holott nem volt neki gyermeke.

És nem adott néki abban örökséget csak egy lábnyomnyit is: és azt ígérte, hogy néki adja azt birtokul és az ő magvának ő utána, holott nem vala néki gyermeke.

And he gave him none inheritance in it, no, not so much as to set his foot on: yet he promised that he would give it to him for a possession, and to his seed after him, when as yet he had no child.

Din ţara aceea nu i-a dat nimic în stăpânire, nici măcar o palmă de loc, ci i-a făgăduit că i-o va da în stăpânire lui şi seminţei lui după el, măcar că n-avea niciun copil.

Yet he gave him no inheritance in it, not even a foot’s length, but promised to give it to him as a possession and to his offspring after him, though he had no child.

Úgy mondta Isten, hogy utódja jövevény lesz idegen földön, rabszolgává teszik és sanyargatják őket négyszáz esztendeig.

Szólt pedig az Isten akképen, hogy az ő magva zsellér lészen idegen földön, és szolgálat alá vetik azt, és nyomorgatják, négyszáz esztendeig.

And God spake on this wise, That his seed should sojourn in a strange land; and that they should bring them into bondage, and entreat them evil four hundred years.

Dumnezeu i-a spus că sămânţa lui va locui într-o ţară străină, va fi robită şi va fi chinuită patru sute de ani.

And God spoke to this effect—that his offspring would be sojourners in a land belonging to others, who would enslave them and afflict them four hundred years.

De megítélem azt a népet, amelynek szolgálnak – azt mondta Isten –, ők pedig ezek után kijönnek, és ezen a helyen szolgálnak nekem.

De azt a népet, melynek szolgálnak, én megítélem, monda az Isten: és ezek után kijőnek, és szolgálnak nékem e helyen.

And the nation to whom they shall be in bondage will I judge, said God: and after that shall they come forth, and serve me in this place.

„Dar neamul căruia îi vor fi robi, îl voi judeca Eu”, a zis Dumnezeu. „După aceea vor ieşi şi-Mi vor sluji în locul acesta.”

‘But I will judge the nation that they serve,’ said God, ‘and after that they shall come out and worship me in this place.’

A körülmetélés szövetségét is nekik adta, és így nemzette Ábrahám Izsákot, és körülmetélte őt nyolcadnapon, és Izsák Jákóbot és Jákób a tizenkét ősatyát.

And he gave him the covenant of circumcision: and so Abraham begat Isaac, and circumcised him the eighth day; and Isaac begat Jacob; and Jacob begat the twelve patriarchs.

And he gave him the covenant of circumcision. And so Abraham became the father of Isaac, and circumcised him on the eighth day, and Isaac became the father of Jacob, and Jacob of the twelve patriarchs.

And the patriarchs, moved with envy, sold Joseph into Egypt: but God was with him,

“And the patriarchs, jealous of Joseph, sold him into Egypt; but God was with him

és megszabadította minden nyomorúságából, kedvessé és bölccsé tette Egyiptom királya, a fáraó előtt, aki aztán kormányzóvá rendelte Egyiptom fölé és az ő egész háza fölé.

And delivered him out of all his afflictions, and gave him favour and wisdom in the sight of Pharaoh king of Egypt; and he made him governor over Egypt and all his house.

şi l-a izbăvit din toate necazurile lui; i-a dat înţelepciune şi trecere înaintea lui faraon, împăratul Egiptului, care l-a pus dregător peste Egipt şi peste toată casa lui.

and rescued him out of all his afflictions and gave him favor and wisdom before Pharaoh, king of Egypt, who made him ruler over Egypt and over all his household.

Abban az időben éhínség és nagy nyomorúság következett egész Egyiptom és Kánaán földjére, és atyáink nem találtak élelmet.

Következék pedig éhség Égyiptom és Kanaán egész földére, és nagy nyomorúság; és nem találnak vala eledelt a mi atyáink.

Now there came a dearth over all the land of Egypt and Chanaan, and great affliction: and our fathers found no sustenance.

A venit o foamete în tot Egiptul şi Canaanul. Nevoia era mare, şi părinţii noştri nu găseau merinde.

Now there came a famine throughout all Egypt and Canaan, and great affliction, and our fathers could find no food.

Amikor pedig Jákób meghallotta, hogy Egyiptomban van gabona, elküldte a mi atyáinkat első útjukra,

But when Jacob heard that there was corn in Egypt, he sent out our fathers first.

Iacov a auzit că în Egipt era grâu şi a trimis pe părinţii noştri întâia dată acolo.

But when Jacob heard that there was grain in Egypt, he sent out our fathers on their first visit.

majd a második alkalommal József megismertette magát testvéreivel, és a fáraó is megtudta József származását.

És második alkalommal fölismerék Józsefet testvérei, és a Faraó megtudá a József nemzetségét.

And at the second time Joseph was made known to his brethren; and Joseph's kindred was made known unto Pharaoh.

Şi, când au venit a doua oară, Iosif a fost cunoscut de fraţii săi, şi faraon a aflat din ce neam era Iosif.

And on the second visit Joseph made himself known to his brothers, and Joseph’s family became known to Pharaoh.

József pedig elküldött atyjáért, Jákóbért, és magához hívatta őt és a hetvenöt lélekből álló egész rokonságát.

És József elküldvén, magához hívatá az ő atyját, Jákóbot, és egész hetvenöt lélekből álló nemzetségét.

Then sent Joseph, and called his father Jacob to him, and all his kindred, threescore and fifteen souls.

Apoi Iosif a trimis să cheme pe tatăl său, Iacov, şi pe toată familia lui, şaptezeci şi cinci de suflete.

And Joseph sent and summoned Jacob his father and all his kindred, seventy-five persons in all.

Lement tehát Jákób Egyiptomba, majd ő is meghalt, és a mi atyáink is,

So Jacob went down into Egypt, and died, he, and our fathers,

And Jacob went down into Egypt, and he died, he and our fathers,

And were carried over into Sychem, and laid in the sepulchre that Abraham bought for a sum of money of the sons of Emmor the father of Sychem.

Şi au fost strămutaţi la Sihem şi puşi în mormântul pe care îl cumpărase Avraam cu o sumă de bani de la fiii lui Emor în Sihem.

and they were carried back to Shechem and laid in the tomb that Abraham had bought for a sum of silver from the sons of Hamor in Shechem.

Amikor pedig elérkezett az az idő, amelyet Isten Ábrahámnak ígért, megerősödött és megsokasodott a nép Egyiptomban,

Mikor pedig elközelgetett az ígéretnek ideje, melyet Isten esküvel ígért Ábrahámnak, megnevekedék a nép és megsokasodék Égyiptomban,

But when the time of the promise drew nigh, which God had sworn to Abraham, the people grew and multiplied in Egypt,

Se apropia vremea când trebuia să se împlinească făgăduinţa pe care o făcuse Dumnezeu lui Avraam. Norodul a crescut şi s-a înmulţit în Egipt,

“But as the time of the promise drew near, which God had granted to Abraham, the people increased and multiplied in Egypt

Till another king arose, which knew not Joseph.

până când s-a ridicat un alt împărat, care nu cunoştea pe Iosif.

until there arose over Egypt another king who did not know Joseph.

Ez álnokul bánt népünkkel, azzal nyomorgatta atyáinkat, hogy magzataikat kitétette, hogy ne maradjanak életben.

Ez a mi nemzetségünkkel álnokul bánva nyomorgatta a mi atyáinkat, hogy magzataikat kitétesse, hogy életben ne maradjanak.

The same dealt subtilly with our kindred, and evil entreated our fathers, so that they cast out their young children, to the end they might not live.

Împăratul acesta a uneltit împotriva neamului nostru şi a chinuit pe părinţii noştri, până acolo ca să-şi lepede pruncii, ca să nu trăiască.

He dealt shrewdly with our race and forced our fathers to expose their infants, so that they would not be kept alive.

Akkor született Mózes, aki kedves volt Isten előtt. Őt három hónapig atyja házában nevelték,

Akkor születék Mózes, és ékes vala az Isten előtt. Ez három hónapig atyja házában tartaték.

In which time Moses was born, and was exceeding fair, and nourished up in his father's house three months:

Pe vremea aceasta s-a născut Moise, care era frumos înaintea lui Dumnezeu. El a fost hrănit trei luni în casa tatălui său.

At this time Moses was born; and he was beautiful in God’s sight. And he was brought up for three months in his father’s house,

majd amikor kitették, a fáraó leánya magához vette, és saját fiaként nevelte fel.

Mikor pedig kitétetett, a Faraó leánya felvevé, és felnevelé őt a saját fia gyanánt.

And when he was cast out, Pharaoh's daughter took him up, and nourished him for her own son.

Şi, când a fost lepădat, l-a luat fiica lui faraon şi l-a crescut ca pe copilul ei.

and when he was exposed, Pharaoh’s daughter adopted him and brought him up as her own son.

Megtanították Mózest az egyiptomiak minden bölcsességére, és hatalmas volt szóban és tettben.

És Mózes taníttaték az Égyiptombeliek minden bölcseségére; és hatalmas vala beszédben és cselekedetben.

And Moses was learned in all the wisdom of the Egyptians, and was mighty in words and in deeds.

Moise a învăţat toată înţelepciunea egiptenilor şi era puternic în cuvinte şi în fapte.

And Moses was instructed in all the wisdom of the Egyptians, and he was mighty in his words and deeds.

Amikor pedig a negyvenedik évét betöltötte, feltámadt szívében, hogy meglátogatja atyjafiait, az Izráel fiait.

Mikor pedig negyvenéves kora betölt, eszébe jutott, hogy meglátogassa atyjafiait, az Izráel fiait.

And when he was full forty years old, it came into his heart to visit his brethren the children of Israel.

El avea patruzeci de ani, când i-a venit în inimă dorinţa să cerceteze pe fraţii săi, pe fiii lui Israel.

“When he was forty years old, it came into his heart to visit his brothers, the children of Israel.

Amikor látta, hogy az egyikkel rosszul bánnak, védelmére kelt, és agyonütve az egyiptomit, bosszút állt azért, akit bántalmaztak.

És mikor látta, hogy egyik bántalommal illettetik, megoltalmazá, és az égyiptomi embert megölvén, bosszút álla azért, a ki bosszúsággal illettetett.

And seeing one of them suffer wrong, he defended him, and avenged him that was oppressed, and smote the Egyptian:

A văzut pe unul din ei suferind nedreptate; i-a luat apărarea, a răzbunat pe cel asuprit şi a omorât pe egiptean.

And seeing one of them being wronged, he defended the oppressed man and avenged him by striking down the Egyptian.

For he supposed his brethren would have understood how that God by his hand would deliver them: but they understood not.

Credea că fraţii lui vor pricepe că Dumnezeu prin mâna lui le va da izbăvirea; dar n-au priceput.

He supposed that his brothers would understand that God was giving them salvation by his hand, but they did not understand.

Másnap éppen akkor jelent meg köztük, amikor összevesztek, és békességre intette őket, ezt mondva: Férfiak, atyafiak vagytok, miért bántjátok egymást?

And the next day he shewed himself unto them as they strove, and would have set them at one again, saying, Sirs, ye are brethren; why do ye wrong one to another?

And on the following day he appeared to them as they were quarreling and tried to reconcile them, saying, ‘Men, you are brothers. Why do you wrong each other?’

But he that did his neighbour wrong thrust him away, saying, Who made thee a ruler and a judge over us?

Dar cel ce nedreptăţea pe aproapele său, l-a îmbrâncit şi i-a zis: „Cine te-a pus pe tine stăpânitor şi judecător peste noi?

But the man who was wronging his neighbor thrust him aside, saying, ‘Who made you a ruler and a judge over us?

Talán engem is meg akarsz ölni, ahogy megölted tegnap az egyiptomit?

Csak nem akarsz engem [is] megölni, miképen megöléd tegnap az égyiptomit?

Wilt thou kill me, as thou diddest the Egyptian yesterday?

Vrei să mă omori şi pe mine cum ai omorât ieri pe egiptean?”

Do you want to kill me as you killed the Egyptian yesterday?’

Erre a beszédre aztán Mózes elmenekült, és jövevény lett Midján földjén, ahol két fia született.

E beszédre aztán Mózes elfuta és lőn jövevény a Midián földén, a hol két fia születék.

Then fled Moses at this saying, and was a stranger in the land of Madian, where he begat two sons.

La auzul acestor vorbe, Moise a fugit şi s-a dus de a locuit ca străin în pământul Madian, unde a născut doi fii.

At this retort Moses fled and became an exile in the land of Midian, where he became the father of two sons.

Negyven esztendő elteltével a Sínaihegy pusztájában csipkebokor tüzes lángjában egy angyal jelent meg neki.

És negyven esztendő elteltével megjelenék néki a Sínai hegy pusztájában az Úrnak angyala csipkebokornak tüzes lángjában.

And when forty years were expired, there appeared to him in the wilderness of mount Sina an angel of the Lord in a flame of fire in a bush.

Peste patruzeci de ani, i s-a arătat un înger în pustiul muntelui Sinai, în para focului unui rug.

“Now when forty years had passed, an angel appeared to him in the wilderness of Mount Sinai, in a flame of fire in a bush.

Mózes pedig, amikor meglátta, elcsodálkozott a látáson, és amikor odament, hogy megnézze, az Úr hangja szólt hozzá:

Mózes pedig mikor meglátta, elcsodálkozék a látáson. Mikor pedig oda méne, hogy megszemlélje, lőn az Úrnak szava ő hozzá:

When Moses saw it, he wondered at the sight: and as he drew near to behold it, the voice of the LORD came unto him,

Moise, când l-a văzut, s-a mirat de arătarea aceasta; şi, pe când se apropia să vadă ce este, a auzit glasul Domnului,

When Moses saw it, he was amazed at the sight, and as he drew near to look, there came the voice of the Lord:

Én vagyok a te atyáid Istene, Ábrahám, Izsák és Jákób Istene. Mózes pedig megrémült, és nem mert odanézni.

Én vagyok a te atyáidnak Istene, Ábrahámnak Istene, és Izsáknak Istene, és Jákóbnak Istene. Mózes pedig megrémülvén, nem meré megnézni.

Saying, I am the God of thy fathers, the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. Then Moses trembled, and durst not behold.

care i-a zis: „Eu sunt Dumnezeul părinţilor tăi, Dumnezeul lui Avraam, Dumnezeul lui Isaac şi Dumnezeul lui Iacov.” Şi Moise, tremurând, n-a îndrăznit să se uite.

‘I am the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham and of Isaac and of Jacob.’ And Moses trembled and did not dare to look.

Az Úr pedig azt mondta neki: Oldd le sarudat a lábadról, mert ez a hely, amelyen állsz, szent föld.

Az Úr pedig monda néki: Oldozd le sarudat lábaidról; mert a hely, a melyen állasz, szent föld.

Then said the Lord to him, Put off thy shoes from thy feet: for the place where thou standest is holy ground.

Domnul i-a zis: „Scoate-ţi încălţămintea din picioare, căci locul pe care stai este un pământ sfânt.

Then the Lord said to him, ‘Take off the sandals from your feet, for the place where you are standing is holy ground.

Látván láttam népem nyomorúságát Egyiptomban, és hallottam sóhajtozásukat, és azért szálltam le, hogy megszabadítsam őket. Most pedig jöjj, elküldelek téged Egyiptomba.

Látván láttam az én népemnek nyomorúságát, mely Égyiptomban van, és az ő fohászkodásukat meghallgattam, és azért szállottam le, hogy őket megszabadítsam; most azért jőjj, elküldelek téged Égyiptomba.

I have seen, I have seen the affliction of my people which is in Egypt, and I have heard their groaning, and am come down to deliver them. And now come, I will send thee into Egypt.

Am văzut suferinţa poporului Meu care este în Egipt, le-am auzit gemetele şi M-am coborât să-i izbăvesc. Acum, du-te, te voi trimite în Egipt.”

I have surely seen the affliction of my people who are in Egypt, and have heard their groaning, and I have come down to deliver them. And now come, I will send you to Egypt.’

Ezt a Mózest, akit megtagadtak, mondva: Ki tett téged fejedelemmé és bíróvá? – ezt küldte el Isten fejedelmül és szabadítóul az angyal által, aki megjelent neki a csipkebokorban.

Ezt a Mózest, a kit megtagadának, mondván: Ki tett téged fejedelemmé és bíróvá? ezt az Isten fejedelmül és szabadítóul küldé angyal keze által, a ki megjelent néki a csipkebokorban.

This Moses whom they refused, saying, Who made thee a ruler and a judge? the same did God send to be a ruler and a deliverer by the hand of the angel which appeared to him in the bush.

Pe acest Moise, de care se lepădaseră ei, când au zis: „Cine te-a pus pe tine stăpânitor şi judecător?”, Dumnezeu l-a trimis ca stăpânitor şi izbăvitor, cu ajutorul îngerului care i se arătase în rug.

“This Moses, whom they rejected, saying, ‘Who made you a ruler and a judge?’—this man God sent as both ruler and redeemer by the hand of the angel who appeared to him in the bush.

Ő hozta ki őket, és tett csodákat és jeleket Egyiptom földjén, a Vörös-tengeren és a pusztában negyven esztendeig.

Ez hozta ki őket, csodákat és jeleket tévén Égyiptomnak földében és a Verestengeren és a pusztában negyven esztendeig.

He brought them out, after that he had shewed wonders and signs in the land of Egypt, and in the Red sea, and in the wilderness forty years.

El i-a scos din Egipt şi a făcut minuni şi semne în Egipt, la Marea Roşie şi în pustiu, patruzeci de ani.

This man led them out, performing wonders and signs in Egypt and at the Red Sea and in the wilderness for forty years.

Ez az a Mózes, aki azt mondta Izráel fiainak: Prófétát támaszt nektek az Úr, a ti Istenetek a ti atyátokfiai közül, olyat, mint én vagyok.

Ez ama Mózes, ki az Izráel fiainak ezt mondotta: Prófétát támaszt néktek az Úr, a ti Istentek, a ti atyátokfiai közül, mint engem: azt hallgassátok.

This is that Moses, which said unto the children of Israel, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear.

Acest Moise a zis fiilor lui Israel: „Domnul Dumnezeul vostru vă va ridica dintre fraţii voştri un Proroc ca mine: de El să ascultaţi.”

This is the Moses who said to the Israelites, ‘God will raise up for you a prophet like me from your brothers.’

Ez az, aki ott volt a gyülekezetben a pusztában a Sínai-hegyen vele beszélő angyallal és a mi atyáinkkal, aki élő igéket vett, hogy nekünk adja,

Ez az, a ki [ott] volt a gyülekezetben a pusztában a Sinai hegyen vele beszélő angyallal és a mi atyáinkkal: ki élő igéket vőn, hogy nékünk adja;

This is he, that was in the church in the wilderness with the angel which spake to him in the mount Sina, and with our fathers: who received the lively oracles to give unto us:

This is the one who was in the congregation in the wilderness with the angel who spoke to him at Mount Sinai, and with our fathers. He received living oracles to give to us.

és azt mondták Áronnak: Csinálj nekünk isteneket, akik előttünk járnak, mert ezzel a Mózessel, aki minket kihozott Egyiptom földjéről, nem tudjuk, mi történt.

Ezt mondván Áronnak: Csinálj nékünk isteneket, kik előttünk járjanak: mert ez a Mózes, ki minket Égyiptom földéből kihozott, nem tudjuk, mi történt ő vele.

Saying unto Aaron, Make us gods to go before us: for as for this Moses, which brought us out of the land of Egypt, we wot not what is become of him.

şi au zis lui Aaron: „Fă-ne nişte dumnezei care să meargă înaintea noastră; căci acest Moise, care ne-a scos din ţara Egiptului, nu ştim ce s-a făcut.”

saying to Aaron, ‘Make for us gods who will go before us. As for this Moses who led us out from the land of Egypt, we do not know what has become of him.’

Isten pedig elfordult tőlük, és hagyta, hogy az ég csillagseregét imádják, amint meg van írva a próféták könyvében: Vajon hoztatok-e nekem véresáldozatokat és égőáldozatokat negyven esztendeig a pusztában, Izráel háza?

Az Isten pedig elfordula, és adá őket, hogy szolgáljanak az ég seregének; a mint meg van írva a próféták könyvében: Vajjon áldozati barmokat és áldozatokat hoztatok-é nékem negyven esztendeig a pusztában, Izráelnek háza?

Then God turned, and gave them up to worship the host of heaven; as it is written in the book of the prophets, O ye house of Israel, have ye offered to me slain beasts and sacrifices by the space of forty years in the wilderness?

Yea, ye took up the tabernacle of Moloch, and the star of your god Remphan, figures which ye made to worship them: and I will carry you away beyond Babylon.

You took up the tent of Moloch and the star of your god Rephan, the images that you made to worship; and I will send you into exile beyond Babylon.’

A menny nékem ülőszékem, a föld pedig az én lábaimnak zsámolya; micsoda házat építhettek nékem? azt mondja az Úr, vagy melyik az én nyugodalmamnak helye?

Heaven is my throne, and earth is my footstool: what house will ye build me? saith the Lord: or what is the place of my rest?

„Cerul este scaunul Meu de domnie, şi pământul este aşternutul picioarelor Mele. Ce fel de Casă Îmi veţi zidi voi Mie, zice Domnul, sau care va fi locul Meu de odihnă?

“‘Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool. What kind of house will you build for me, says the Lord, or what is the place of my rest?

Keménnyakú és körülmetéletlen szívű és fülű emberek, mindenkor ellene szegültök a Szentléleknek, ugyanúgy, mint atyáitok!

Kemény nyakú és körülmetéletlen szívű és fülű emberek, ti mindenkor a Szent Léleknek ellene igyekeztek, mint atyáitok, ti azonképen.

Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do ye.

… Oameni tari la cerbice, netăiaţi împrejur cu inima şi cu urechile! Voi totdeauna vă împotriviţi Duhului Sfânt. Cum au făcut părinţii voştri, aşa faceţi şi voi.

“You stiff-necked people, uncircumcised in heart and ears, you always resist the Holy Spirit. As your fathers did, so do you.

Which of the prophets have not your fathers persecuted? and they have slain them which shewed before of the coming of the Just One; of whom ye have been now the betrayers and murderers:

Amikor ezeket hallották, haragra gerjedtek szívükben, és fogukat csikorgatták ellene.

Mikor pedig ezeket hallották, szívükben dühösködnek és fogaikat csikorgatják vala ő ellene.

When they heard these things, they were cut to the heart, and they gnashed on him with their teeth.

Când au auzit ei aceste vorbe, îi tăia pe inimă şi scrâşneau din dinţi împotriva lui.

Now when they heard these things they were enraged, and they ground their teeth at him.

But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God,

Dar Ştefan, plin de Duhul Sfânt, şi-a pironit ochii spre cer, a văzut slava lui Dumnezeu, şi pe Isus stând în picioare la dreapta lui Dumnezeu;

But he, full of the Holy Spirit, gazed into heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God.

és azt mondta: Íme, látom a megnyílt eget és az Emberfiát az Isten jobbja felől állni.

És monda: Ímé látom az egeket megnyilni, és az embernek Fiát az Isten jobbja felől állani.

And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God.

şi a zis: „Iată, văd cerurile deschise, şi pe Fiul omului stând în picioare la dreapta lui Dumnezeu.”

Erre hangosan felkiáltottak, bedugták a fülüket, és egy akarattal rárohantak,

Felkiáltván pedig nagy fenszóval, füleiket bédugák, és egyakarattal reá rohanának;

Then they cried out with a loud voice, and stopped their ears, and ran upon him with one accord,

Ei au început atunci să răcnească, şi-au astupat urechile şi s-au năpustit toţi într-un gând asupra lui.

But they cried out with a loud voice and stopped their ears and rushed together at him.

majd kiűzték a városon kívülre, és megkövezték. A tanúk pedig felsőruháikat egy Saul nevű ifjú lábához rakták le.

És kiűzvén a városon kívül, megkövezék: a tanúbizonyságok pedig felsőruháikat egy Saulus nevezetű ifjú lábaihoz rakták le.

And cast him out of the city, and stoned him: and the witnesses laid down their clothes at a young man's feet, whose name was Saul.

L-au târât afară din cetate şi l-au ucis cu pietre. Martorii şi-au pus hainele la picioarele unui tânăr, numit Saul.

Then they cast him out of the city and stoned him. And the witnesses laid down their garments at the feet of a young man named Saul.

Mialatt Istvánt megkövezték, ő így imádkozott: Uram Jézus, vedd magadhoz lelkemet!

Megkövezék azért Istvánt, ki imádkozik és ezt mondja vala: Uram Jézus, vedd magadhoz az én lelkemet!

And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.

Şi aruncau cu pietre în Ştefan, care se ruga şi zicea: „Doamne Isuse, primeşte duhul meu!”

And as they were stoning Stephen, he called out, “Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.”

Majd térdre esett, és hangosan így kiáltott: Uram, ne ródd fel nekik ezt a bűnt! És miután ezt mondta, meghalt.

Térdre esvén pedig, nagy fenszóval kiálta: Uram, ne tulajdonítsd nékik e bűnt! És ezt mondván, elaluvék.

And he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep.

Apoi a îngenuncheat şi a strigat cu glas tare: „Doamne, nu le ţine în seamă păcatul acesta!” Şi, după aceste vorbe, a adormit.

And falling to his knees he cried out with a loud voice, “Lord, do not hold this sin against them.” And when he had said this, he fell asleep.
