Némelyek, akik Júdeából jöttek le, így tanították a testvéreket: Ha nem metélkedtek körül Mózes rendtartása szerint, nem üdvözülhettek.

And certain men which came down from Judaea taught the brethren, and said, Except ye be circumcised after the manner of Moses, ye cannot be saved.

Câţiva oameni, veniţi din Iudeea, învăţau pe fraţi şi ziceau: „Dacă nu sunteţi tăiaţi împrejur după obiceiul lui Moise, nu puteţi fi mântuiţi.”

But some men came down from Judea and were teaching the brothers, “Unless you are circumcised according to the custom of Moses, you cannot be saved.”

Amikor emiatt Pálnak és Barnabásnak nem kis ellentéte és vitája támadt velük, úgy határoztak, hogy ebben a kérdéses ügyben Pál és Barnabás és mások is közülük menjenek fel az apostolokhoz és a vénekhez Jeruzsálembe.

When therefore Paul and Barnabas had no small dissension and disputation with them, they determined that Paul and Barnabas, and certain other of them, should go up to Jerusalem unto the apostles and elders about this question.

So, being sent on their way by the church, they passed through both Phoenicia and Samaria, describing in detail the conversion of the Gentiles, and brought great joy to all the brothers.

But there rose up certain of the sect of the Pharisees which believed, saying, That it was needful to circumcise them, and to command them to keep the law of Moses.

And when there had been much disputing, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Men and brethren, ye know how that a good while ago God made choice among us, that the Gentiles by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel, and believe.

And after there had been much debate, Peter stood up and said to them, “Brothers, you know that in the early days God made a choice among you, that by my mouth the Gentiles should hear the word of the gospel and believe.

Now therefore why tempt ye God, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?

Now, therefore, why are you putting God to the test by placing a yoke on the neck of the disciples that neither our fathers nor we have been able to bear?

Mert hisszük, hogy mi is az Úr Jézus Krisztus kegyelme által üdvözülünk, éppen úgy, mint ők.

Sőt inkább az Úr Jézus Krisztus kegyelme által hiszszük, hogy megtartatunk, miképen azok is.

But we believe that through the grace of the LORD Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as they.

Ci credem că noi, ca şi ei, suntem mântuiţi prin harul Domnului Isus.”

But we believe that we will be saved through the grace of the Lord Jesus, just as they will.”

Ekkor az egész gyűlés elcsendesedett, és meghallgatták Barnabást és Pált, amint elbeszélték, mennyi jelet és csodát tett Isten általuk a pogányok között.

Elhallgatott azért az egész sokaság; és hallgatják vala Barnabást és Pált, a mint elbeszélék, mennyi jelt és csudát tett az Isten ő általok a pogányok között.

Then all the multitude kept silence, and gave audience to Barnabas and Paul, declaring what miracles and wonders God had wrought among the Gentiles by them.

Toată adunarea a tăcut şi a ascultat pe Barnaba şi pe Pavel, care au istorisit toate semnele şi minunile pe care le făcuse Dumnezeu prin ei în mijlocul Neamurilor.

And all the assembly fell silent, and they listened to Barnabas and Paul as they related what signs and wonders God had done through them among the Gentiles.

After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up:

That the residue of men might seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles, upon whom my name is called, saith the Lord, who doeth all these things.

that the remnant of mankind may seek the Lord, and all the Gentiles who are called by my name, says the Lord, who makes these things

Wherefore my sentence is, that we trouble not them, which from among the Gentiles are turned to God:

Therefore my judgment is that we should not trouble those of the Gentiles who turn to God,

But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood.

For from ancient generations Moses has had in every city those who proclaim him, for he is read every Sabbath in the synagogues.”

Akkor tetszett az apostoloknak és a véneknek az egész gyülekezettel együtt, hogy férfiakat válasszanak ki maguk közül, és elküldjék őket Antiókhiába Pállal és Barnabással: Júdást, akit Barsabbásnak hívtak, és Szilászt, akik vezetők voltak a testvérek között.

Akkor tetszék az apostoloknak és a véneknek az egész gyülekezettel egybe, hogy férfiakat válaszszanak ki magok közül és elküldjék Antiókhiába Pállal és Barnabással, Júdást, kinek mellékneve Barsabás, és Silást, kik az atyafiak között főemberek valának.

Then pleased it the apostles and elders with the whole church, to send chosen men of their own company to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas; namely, Judas surnamed Barsabas and Silas, chief men among the brethren:

Atunci apostolii şi prezbiterii şi întreaga biserică au găsit cu cale să aleagă vreo câţiva dintre ei şi să-i trimită la Antiohia, împreună cu Pavel şi Barnaba. Şi au ales pe Iuda, zis şi Barsaba, şi pe Sila, oameni cu vază între fraţi.

Then it seemed good to the apostles and the elders, with the whole church, to choose men from among them and send them to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas. They sent Judas called Barsabbas, and Silas, leading men among the brothers,

Ezt írták saját kezükkel: Az apostolok, a vének és a ti testvéreitek az Antiókhiában, Szíriában és Ciliciában levő pogányok közül való testvéreknek üdvözletünket küldjük!

And they wrote letters by them after this manner; The apostles and elders and brethren send greeting unto the brethren which are of the Gentiles in Antioch and Syria and Cilicia.

Forasmuch as we have heard, that certain which went out from us have troubled you with words, subverting your souls, saying, Ye must be circumcised, and keep the law: to whom we gave no such commandment:

Since we have heard that some persons have gone out from us and troubled you with words, unsettling your minds, although we gave them no instructions,

It seemed good unto us, being assembled with one accord, to send chosen men unto you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul,

We have sent therefore Judas and Silas, who shall also tell you the same things by mouth.

Mert tetszett a Szentléleknek és nekünk, hogy ne tegyünk több terhet rátok ezeken a feltétlenül szükséges dolgokon fölül:

Mert tetszék a Szent Léleknek és nékünk, hogy semmi több teher ne vettessék ti reátok ezeken a szükséges dolgokon kívül,

For it seemed good to the Holy Ghost, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things;

Căci s-a părut nimerit Duhului Sfânt şi nouă să nu mai punem peste voi nicio altă greutate decât ceea ce trebuie,

For it has seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to us to lay on you no greater burden than these requirements:

hogy tartózkodjatok a bálványáldozati hústól, a vértől, a fulladt állattól és a paráznaságtól. Jól teszitek, ha ezektől őrizkedtek. Legyetek egészségben!

Hogy tartózkodjatok a bálványoknak áldozott dolgoktól, a vértől, a fúlvaholt állattól, és a paráznaságtól; melyektől ha megóvjátok magatokat, jól lesz dolgotok. Legyetek egészségben!

That ye abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication: from which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well. Fare ye well.

adică: să vă feriţi de lucrurile jertfite idolilor, de sânge, de dobitoace sugrumate şi de curvie, lucruri de care, dacă vă veţi păzi, va fi bine de voi. Fiţi sănătoşi!”

that you abstain from what has been sacrificed to idols, and from blood, and from what has been strangled, and from sexual immorality. If you keep yourselves from these, you will do well. Farewell.”

Azok tehát, miután elbocsátották őket, lementek Antiókhiába, összehívták a gyülekezetet, és átadták a levelet.

So when they were dismissed, they came to Antioch: and when they had gathered the multitude together, they delivered the epistle:

So when they were sent off, they went down to Antioch, and having gathered the congregation together, they delivered the letter.

Which when they had read, they rejoiced for the consolation.

And when they had read it, they rejoiced because of its encouragement.

Júdás és Szilász, akik maguk is próféták voltak, sok beszéddel bátorították és erősítették a testvéreket.

And Judas and Silas, being prophets also themselves, exhorted the brethren with many words, and confirmed them.

And Judas and Silas, who were themselves prophets, encouraged and strengthened the brothers with many words.

And after they had tarried there a space, they were let go in peace from the brethren unto the apostles.

And after they had spent some time, they were sent off in peace by the brothers to those who had sent them.

Notwithstanding it pleased Silas to abide there still.

Paul also and Barnabas continued in Antioch, teaching and preaching the word of the Lord, with many others also.

And after some days Paul said to Barnabas, “Let us return and visit the brothers in every city where we proclaimed the word of the Lord, and see how they are.”

Néhány nap múlva pedig azt mondta Pál Barnabásnak: Térjünk vissza, és látogassuk meg testvéreinket minden városban, ahol hirdettük az Úr igéjét, hogy lássuk, hogyan vannak!

And some days after Paul said unto Barnabas, Let us go again and visit our brethren in every city where we have preached the word of the LORD, and see how they do.

Now Barnabas wanted to take with them John called Mark.

And Barnabas determined to take with them John, whose surname was Mark.

But Paul thought best not to take with them one who had withdrawn from them in Pamphylia and had not gone with them to the work.
