Now about that time Herod the king stretched forth his hands to vex certain of the church.

Cam pe aceeaşi vreme, împăratul Irod a pus mâinile pe unii din biserică, pentru ca să-i chinuiască;

About that time Herod the king laid violent hands on some who belonged to the church.

And he killed James the brother of John with the sword.

şi a ucis cu sabia pe Iacov, fratele lui Ioan.

He killed James the brother of John with the sword,

Látva, hogy ez tetszik a zsidóknak, azon volt, hogy elfogatja Pétert is. Akkor éppen a kovásztalan kenyerek napjai voltak.

És látván, hogy ez tetszik a zsidóknak, föltette magában, hogy elfogatja Pétert is. (Valának pedig a kovásztalan kenyerek napjai.)

And because he saw it pleased the Jews, he proceeded further to take Peter also. (Then were the days of unleavened bread.)

Când a văzut că lucrul acesta place iudeilor, a mai pus mâna şi pe Petru. – Erau zilele praznicului Azimelor. –

and when he saw that it pleased the Jews, he proceeded to arrest Peter also. This was during the days of Unleavened Bread.

El is fogatta, börtönbe vetette, és négy, egyenként négytagú katonai őrségnek adta át, hogy őrizzék, mert a páska ünnepe után akarta a nép elé vezettetni.

Kit el is fogatván, tömlöczbe veté, átadván négy négyes katonai szakasznak, hogy őrizzék őt; husvét után akarván őt a nép elé vezettetni.

And when he had apprehended him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four quaternions of soldiers to keep him; intending after Easter to bring him forth to the people.

După ce l-a prins şi l-a băgat în temniţă, l-a pus sub paza a patru cete de câte patru ostaşi, cu gând ca după Paşti să-l scoată înaintea norodului.

And when he had seized him, he put him in prison, delivering him over to four squads of soldiers to guard him, intending after the Passover to bring him out to the people.

Pétert tehát börtönben őrizték, a gyülekezet pedig buzgón imádkozott érte Istenhez.

Péter azért őrizteték a fogságban; a gyülekezet pedig szüntelen könyörög vala az Istennek ő érette.

Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him.

Deci Petru era păzit în temniţă, şi biserica nu înceta să înalţe rugăciuni către Dumnezeu pentru el.

So Peter was kept in prison, but earnest prayer for him was made to God by the church.

Arra a napra virradó éjszakán, amikor Heródes elő akarta vezettetni, Péter két katona között aludt, megkötözve két lánccal, az őrök pedig az ajtó előtt őrizték a börtönt.

Mikor pedig Heródes őt elő akará vezettetni, azon az éjszakán aluszik vala Péter két vitéz között, megkötözve két lánczczal; és őrök őrizék az ajtó előtt a tömlöczöt.

And when Herod would have brought him forth, the same night Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains: and the keepers before the door kept the prison.

În noaptea zilei când avea de gând Irod să-l înfăţişeze la judecată, Petru dormea între doi ostaşi, legat de mâini cu două lanţuri; şi nişte păzitori păzeau temniţa la uşă.

Now when Herod was about to bring him out, on that very night, Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains, and sentries before the door were guarding the prison.

És íme, az Úr angyala megjelent, és világosság támadt a cellában. Meglökve Péter oldalát, felébresztette, és azt mondta neki: Gyorsan kelj fel! És leestek a láncok a kezéről.

És ímé az Úrnak angyala eljöve, és világosság fénylék a tömlöczben: és meglökvén Péter oldalát, felkölté őt, mondván: Kelj föl hamar! És leesének a lánczok kezeiről.

And, behold, the angel of the Lord came upon him, and a light shined in the prison: and he smote Peter on the side, and raised him up, saying, Arise up quickly. And his chains fell off from his hands.

Şi iată, un înger al Domnului a stat lângă el pe neaşteptate, şi o lumină a strălucit în temniţă. Îngerul a deşteptat pe Petru, lovindu-l în coastă, şi i-a zis: „Scoală-te iute!” Lanţurile i-au căzut jos de pe mâini.

And behold, an angel of the Lord stood next to him, and a light shone in the cell. He struck Peter on the side and woke him, saying, “Get up quickly.” And the chains fell off his hands.

Akkor azt mondta neki az angyal: Övezd fel magadat, és kösd fel sarudat. És úgy cselekedett. Majd azt mondta neki: Vedd fel a felsőruhádat, és kövess engem!

És monda néki az angyal: Övezd fel magadat, és kösd fel saruidat. És úgy cselekedék. És monda néki: Vedd rád felsőruhádat és kövess engem!

And the angel said unto him, Gird thyself, and bind on thy sandals. And so he did. And he saith unto him, Cast thy garment about thee, and follow me.

Apoi îngerul i-a zis: „Încinge-te şi leagă-ţi încălţămintea.” Şi el a făcut aşa. Îngerul i-a mai zis: „Îmbracă-te în haină şi vino după mine.”

And the angel said to him, “Dress yourself and put on your sandals.” And he did so. And he said to him, “Wrap your cloak around you and follow me.”

Ő pedig kimenve követte, de nem tudta, hogy valóság az, ami az angyal által történik, hanem azt gondolta, hogy látomást lát.

És kimenvén, követé őt; és nem tudta, hogy valóság az, a mi történik az angyal által, hanem azt hitte, hogy látást lát.

And he went out, and followed him; and wist not that it was true which was done by the angel; but thought he saw a vision.

Petru a ieşit afară şi a mers după el, fără să ştie dacă ce făcea îngerul este adevărat. I se părea că are o vedenie.

And he went out and followed him. He did not know that what was being done by the angel was real, but thought he was seeing a vision.

Átmentek az első őrségen, majd a másodikon, eljutottak a vaskapuhoz, amely a városba visz, az magától megnyílt előttük, és kimentek, majd végighaladtak egy utcán. Ekkor az angyal hirtelen eltávozott tőle.

Mikor pedig általmentek az első őrsön és a másodikon, jutának a vaskapuhoz, mely a városba visz; mely magától megnyílék előttük: és kimenvén, egy utczán előremenének; és azonnal eltávozék az angyal ő tőle.

When they were past the first and the second ward, they came unto the iron gate that leadeth unto the city; which opened to them of his own accord: and they went out, and passed on through one street; and forthwith the angel departed from him.

După ce au trecut de straja întâi şi a doua, au ajuns la poarta de fier care dă în cetate, şi ea li s-a deschis singură; au ieşit şi au trecut într-o uliţă. Îndată, îngerul a plecat de lângă el.

When they had passed the first and the second guard, they came to the iron gate leading into the city. It opened for them of its own accord, and they went out and went along one street, and immediately the angel left him.

Péter magához tért, és azt mondta: Most tudom igazán, hogy az Úr elküldte az ő angyalát, és megszabadított Heródes kezéből és mindattól, amire a zsidó nép annyira várt.

És Péter magához térve monda: Most tudom igazán, hogy az Úr elbocsátotta az ő angyalát, és megszabadított engem Heródes kezéből és a zsidók népének egész várakozásától.

And when Peter was come to himself, he said, Now I know of a surety, that the LORD hath sent his angel, and hath delivered me out of the hand of Herod, and from all the expectation of the people of the Jews.

Când şi-a venit Petru în fire, a zis: „Acum văd cu adevărat că Domnul a trimis pe îngerul Său şi m-a scăpat din mâna lui Irod şi de la tot ce aştepta poporul iudeu.”

When Peter came to himself, he said, “Now I am sure that the Lord has sent his angel and rescued me from the hand of Herod and from all that the Jewish people were expecting.”

Miután ezt megértette, elment János (akit Márknak is neveznek) anyjának, Máriának a házához, ahol sokan összegyűltek és imádkoztak.

És miután ezt megértette, elméne Máriának, a János anyjának házához, ki Márknak neveztetik; hol sokan valának egybegyűlve és könyörögnek vala.

And when he had considered the thing, he came to the house of Mary the mother of John, whose surname was Mark; where many were gathered together praying.

După ce şi-a dat bine seama de cele întâmplate, s-a îndreptat spre casa Mariei, mama lui Ioan, zis şi Marcu, unde erau adunaţi mulţi laolaltă şi se rugau.

When he realized this, he went to the house of Mary, the mother of John whose other name was Mark, where many were gathered together and were praying.

Amikor Péter zörgetett a bejárati kapunál, egy Rodé nevű szolgálóleány ment oda, hogy hallgatózzék.

És mikor Péter zörgetett a tornácz ajtaján, egy Rhodé nevű szolgálóleány méne oda, hogy hallgatózzék:

And as Peter knocked at the door of the gate, a damsel came to hearken, named Rhoda.

A bătut la uşa care dădea în pridvor; şi o slujnică, numită Roda, a venit să vadă cine e.

And when he knocked at the door of the gateway, a servant girl named Rhoda came to answer.

Ahogy megismerte Péter hangját, örömében nem nyitotta ki a kaput, hanem befutott, és hírül adta, hogy Péter áll a kapu előtt.

És megismervén a Péter szavát, örömében nem nyitá meg a kaput, hanem befutván, hírül adá, hogy Péter áll a kapu előtt.

And when she knew Peter's voice, she opened not the gate for gladness, but ran in, and told how Peter stood before the gate.

A cunoscut glasul lui Petru; şi, de bucurie, în loc să deschidă, a alergat înăuntru să dea de veste că Petru stă înaintea porţii.

Recognizing Peter’s voice, in her joy she did not open the gate but ran in and reported that Peter was standing at the gate.

Azok pedig azt mondták neki, hogy elment az esze. Ő azonban csak erősítgette, hogy úgy van. Azok pedig azt mondták, hogy az ő angyala az.

Azok pedig mondának néki: Elment az eszed. Ő azonban erősíté, hogy úgy van. Azok pedig mondának: Az ő angyala az.

And they said unto her, Thou art mad. But she constantly affirmed that it was even so. Then said they, It is his angel.

„Eşti nebună!”, i-au zis ei. Dar ea stăruia şi spunea că el este. Ei, dimpotrivă, ziceau: „Este îngerul lui.”

They said to her, “You are out of your mind.” But she kept insisting that it was so, and they kept saying, “It is his angel!”

Péter pedig tovább zörgetett. Amikor végül kaput nyitottak, és meglátták, elálmélkodtak.

Péter pedig szüntelen zörget vala: mikor azért felnyitották, megláták őt és elálmélkodának.

But Peter continued knocking: and when they had opened the door, and saw him, they were astonished.

Petru însă bătea mereu. Au deschis şi au rămas încremeniţi când l-au văzut.

But Peter continued knocking, and when they opened, they saw him and were amazed.

Miután pedig kezével hallgatást intett, elbeszélte nekik, hogyan hozta ki őt az Úr a börtönből, majd azt mondta: Adjátok tudtára ezeket Jakabnak és a testvéreknek. Azután kiment, és más helyre távozott.

Miután pedig kezével hallgatást intett nékik, elbeszélé nékik, mimódon hozta ki őt az Úr a tömlöczből. És monda: Adjátok tudtára ezeket Jakabnak és az atyafiaknak. És kimenvén elméne más helyre.

But he, beckoning unto them with the hand to hold their peace, declared unto them how the Lord had brought him out of the prison. And he said, Go shew these things unto James, and to the brethren. And he departed, and went into another place.

Petru le-a făcut semn cu mâna să tacă, le-a istorisit cum îl scosese Domnul din temniţă şi a zis: „Spuneţi lucrul acesta lui Iacov şi fraţilor.” Apoi a ieşit şi s-a dus în alt loc.

But motioning to them with his hand to be silent, he described to them how the Lord had brought him out of the prison. And he said, “Tell these things to James and to the brothers.” Then he departed and went to another place.

Amikor megvirradt, nem csekély riadalom támadt a katonák között, hogy mi történt Péterrel.

Mikor pedig megvirradt, nem csekély háborúság támada a vitézek között, mi történt hát Péterrel.

Now as soon as it was day, there was no small stir among the soldiers, what was become of Peter.

Când s-a făcut ziuă, ostaşii au fost într-o mare fierbere, ca să ştie ce s-a făcut Petru.

Now when day came, there was no little disturbance among the soldiers over what had become of Peter.

Heródes pedig kerestette, és mivel nem találta, kivallatta az őröket, majd megparancsolta, hogy végezzék ki őket. Aztán lement Júdeából Cézáreába, és ott időzött.

Heródes pedig mikor előkérte őt és nem találta, kivallatván az őröket, parancsolá, hogy kivégeztessenek. És lemenvén Júdeából Czézáreába, [ott] időzött.

And when Herod had sought for him, and found him not, he examined the keepers, and commanded that they should be put to death. And he went down from Judaea to Caesarea, and there abode.

Irod, după ce l-a căutat în toate părţile, şi nu l-a aflat, a luat la cercetare pe păzitori şi a poruncit să-i omoare. În urmă s-a coborât din Iudeea la Cezareea, ca să rămână acolo.

And after Herod searched for him and did not find him, he examined the sentries and ordered that they should be put to death. Then he went down from Judea to Caesarea and spent time there.

Heródes ellenséges indulattal volt a tírusziak és szidóniak iránt, de azok egy akarattal eljöttek hozzá, és miután Blásztuszt, a király kamarását megnyerték, békét kértek, mivel tartományukat a királyéból élelmezték.

Heródes pedig ellenséges indulattal vala a tirusiak és sidoniak iránt; de azok egyakarattal eljövének ő hozzá, és Blástust, a király kamarását megnyervén, békességet kérének, mivelhogy az ő tartományuk a királyéból élelmeztetik vala.

And Herod was highly displeased with them of Tyre and Sidon: but they came with one accord to him, and, having made Blastus the king's chamberlain their friend, desired peace; because their country was nourished by the king's country.

Irod era foarte mâniat pe cei din Tir şi din Sidon. Dar aceştia au venit toţi într-un gând la el; şi, după ce au câştigat de partea lor pe Blast, care era mai mare peste odaia de dormit a împăratului, au cerut pace, pentru că ţara lor se hrănea din ţara împăratului.

Now Herod was angry with the people of Tyre and Sidon, and they came to him with one accord, and having persuaded Blastus, the king’s chamberlain, they asked for peace, because their country depended on the king’s country for food.

Egy kitűzött napon pedig Heródes királyi ruhájába felöltözve és székibe ülve nyilvánosan szóla hozzájuk.

And upon a set day Herod, arrayed in royal apparel, sat upon his throne, and made an oration unto them.

Într-o zi anumită, Irod s-a îmbrăcat cu hainele lui împărăteşti, a şezut pe scaunul lui împărătesc şi le vorbea.

On an appointed day Herod put on his royal robes, took his seat upon the throne, and delivered an oration to them.

A nép pedig felkiáltott: Isten szava ez, nem pedig emberé.

A nép pedig felkiálta: Isten szava ez és nem emberé.

And the people gave a shout, saying, It is the voice of a god, and not of a man.

Norodul a strigat: „Glas de Dumnezeu, nu de om!”

And the people were shouting, “The voice of a god, and not of a man!”

És azonnal megverte őt az Úr angyala azért, mert nem Istennek adott dicsőséget. Megemésztették a férgek, és úgy halt meg.

És azonnal megveré őt az Úrnak angyala, azért, hogy nem az Istennek adá a dicsőséget; és a férgektől megemésztetvén, meghala.

And immediately the angel of the Lord smote him, because he gave not God the glory: and he was eaten of worms, and gave up the ghost.

Îndată l-a lovit un înger al Domnului, pentru că nu dăduse slavă lui Dumnezeu. Şi a murit mâncat de viermi.

Immediately an angel of the Lord struck him down, because he did not give God the glory, and he was eaten by worms and breathed his last.

Az Isten igéje pedig növekedett és terjedt.

Az Istennek ígéje pedig növekedik és terjed vala,

But the word of God grew and multiplied.

Însă Cuvântul lui Dumnezeu se răspândea tot mai mult, şi numărul ucenicilor se mărea.

But the word of God increased and multiplied.

Barnabás és Saul pedig, miután befejezték szolgálatukat, visszatértek Jeruzsálemből, és magukkal vitték Jánost is, akinek a mellékneve Márk volt.

Barnabás és Saulus pedig visszatérének Jeruzsálemből, betöltvén szolgálatukat, maguk mellé véve Jánost is, kinek mellékneve Márk vala.

And Barnabas and Saul returned from Jerusalem, when they had fulfilled their ministry, and took with them John, whose surname was Mark.

Barnaba şi Saul, după ce şi-au împlinit însărcinarea, s-au întors din Ierusalim, luând cu ei pe Ioan, zis şi Marcu.

And Barnabas and Saul returned from Jerusalem when they had completed their service, bringing with them John, whose other name was Mark.
