- And Saul, yet breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went unto the high priest,

- és leveleket kért tőle Damaszkuszba a zsinagógákhoz, hogy ha talál némelyeket, akik ezt az utat követik, akár férfiakat, akár nőket, megkötözve Jeruzsálembe vihesse őket.

- And desired of him letters to Damascus to the synagogues, that if he found any of this way, whether they were men or women, he might bring them bound unto Jerusalem.

- And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven:

- And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?

- And falling to the ground, he heard a voice saying to him, “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?”

- Ő azt kérdezte: Kicsoda vagy, Uram? Az Úr pedig így válaszolt: Én vagyok Jézus, akit te üldözöl.
- És monda: Kicsoda vagy, Uram? Az Úr pedig monda: Én vagyok Jézus, a kit te kergetsz: nehéz néked az ösztön ellen rúgódoznod.
- And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.
- „Cine eşti Tu, Doamne?”, a răspuns el. Şi Domnul a zis: „Eu sunt Isus pe care-L prigoneşti. Ţi-ar fi greu să arunci înapoi cu piciorul într-un ţepuş.”
- And he said, “Who are you, Lord?” And he said, “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting.

- De kelj fel, és menj be a városba, és majd megmondják neked, mit kell tenned.
- Remegve és ámulva monda: Uram, mit akarsz, hogy cselekedjem? Az Úr pedig [monda] néki: Kelj fel és menj be a városba, és majd megmondják néked, mit kell cselekedned.
- And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do.
- Tremurând şi plin de frică, el a zis: „Doamne, ce vrei să fac?” „Scoală-te”, i-a zis Domnul, „intră în cetate, şi ţi se va spune ce trebuie să faci.”
- But rise and enter the city, and you will be told what you are to do.”

- Saul felkelt a földről, de amikor kinyitotta a szemét, semmit sem látott, azért kezénél fogva vezették be Damaszkuszba.
- Felkele azonban Saulus a földről; de mikor felnyitá szemeit, senkit sem láta, azért kézenfogva vezeték be őt Damaskusba.
- And Saul arose from the earth; and when his eyes were opened, he saw no man: but they led him by the hand, and brought him into Damascus.

- Volt pedig egy tanítvány Damaszkuszban, név szerint Anániás, akihez így szólt az Úr látásban: Anániás! Ő pedig azt mondta: Íme, itt vagyok, Uram!

- And there was a certain disciple at Damascus, named Ananias; and to him said the Lord in a vision, Ananias. And he said, Behold, I am here, Lord.
- În Damasc era un ucenic, numit Anania. Domnul i-a zis într-o vedenie: „Anania!” „Iată-mă Doamne”, a răspuns el.
- Now there was a disciple at Damascus named Ananias. The Lord said to him in a vision, “Ananias.” And he said, “Here I am, Lord.”

- And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the street which is called Straight, and enquire in the house of Judas for one called Saul, of Tarsus: for, behold, he prayeth,

- és látomásban azt látta, hogy egy Anániás nevű férfi bemegy hozzá, és kezét ráteszi, hogy lásson.
- És látá [Saulus] látásban, hogy egy Ananiás nevű férfiú beméne hozzá és kezét reá veté, hogy lásson.
- And hath seen in a vision a man named Ananias coming in, and putting his hand on him, that he might receive his sight.

- and he has seen in a vision a man named Ananias come in and lay his hands on him so that he might regain his sight.”

- Anániás pedig így válaszolt: Uram, sokaktól hallottam e férfi felől, hogy mennyi rosszat tett a te szentjeid ellen Jeruzsálemben,
- Felele pedig Ananiás: Uram, sok embertől hallottam e férfiú felől, mily sok bosszúsággal illeté a te szenteidet Jeruzsálemben:
- Then Ananias answered, Lord, I have heard by many of this man, how much evil he hath done to thy saints at Jerusalem:
- „Doamne”, a răspuns Anania, „am auzit de la mulţi despre toate relele pe care le-a făcut omul acesta sfinţilor Tăi în Ierusalim;
- But Ananias answered, “Lord, I have heard from many about this man, how much evil he has done to your saints at Jerusalem.

- és itt is felhatalmazása van a főpapoktól, hogy mindazokat megkötözze, akik a te nevedet segítségül hívják.

- And here he hath authority from the chief priests to bind all that call on thy name.

- De az Úr azt mondta neki: Menj el, mert ő nekem választott eszközöm, hogy hordozza az én nevemet a pogányok, a királyok és Izráel fiai előtt.
- Monda pedig néki az Úr: Eredj el, mert ő nékem választott edényem, hogy hordozza az én nevemet a pogányok és királyok, és Izráel fiai előtt.
- But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel:
- Dar Domnul i-a zis: „Du-te, căci el este un vas pe care l-am ales, ca să ducă Numele Meu înaintea Neamurilor, înaintea împăraţilor şi înaintea fiilor lui Israel;
- But the Lord said to him, “Go, for he is a chosen instrument of mine to carry my name before the Gentiles and kings and the children of Israel.

- For I will shew him how great things he must suffer for my name's sake.

- Elment azért Anániás, bement a házba, rátette kezét, és azt mondta: Atyámfia, Saul, az Úr küldött engem, az a Jézus, aki megjelent neked az úton, ahogy jöttél, hogy újra láss, és beteljesedj Szentlélekkel.

- And Ananias went his way, and entered into the house; and putting his hands on him said, Brother Saul, the Lord, even Jesus, that appeared unto thee in the way as thou camest, hath sent me, that thou mightest receive thy sight, and be filled with the Holy Ghost.

- So Ananias departed and entered the house. And laying his hands on him he said, “Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus who appeared to you on the road by which you came has sent me so that you may regain your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit.”

- And immediately there fell from his eyes as it had been scales: and he received sight forthwith, and arose, and was baptized.

- And immediately something like scales fell from his eyes, and he regained his sight. Then he rose and was baptized;

- And when he had received meat, he was strengthened. Then was Saul certain days with the disciples which were at Damascus.

- and taking food, he was strengthened. For some days he was with the disciples at Damascus.

- And straightway he preached Christ in the synagogues, that he is the Son of God.

- But all that heard him were amazed, and said; Is not this he that destroyed them which called on this name in Jerusalem, and came hither for that intent, that he might bring them bound unto the chief priests?
- Toţi cei ce-l ascultau rămâneau uimiţi şi ziceau: „Nu este el acela care făcea prăpăd în Ierusalim printre cei ce chemau Numele acesta? Şi n-a venit el aici ca să-i ducă legaţi înaintea preoţilor celor mai de seamă?”
- And all who heard him were amazed and said, “Is not this the man who made havoc in Jerusalem of those who called upon this name? And has he not come here for this purpose, to bring them bound before the chief priests?”

- But Saul increased the more in strength, and confounded the Jews which dwelt at Damascus, proving that this is very Christ.

- And after that many days were fulfilled, the Jews took counsel to kill him:

- But their laying await was known of Saul. And they watched the gates day and night to kill him.

- Then the disciples took him by night, and let him down by the wall in a basket.

- And when Saul was come to Jerusalem, he assayed to join himself to the disciples: but they were all afraid of him, and believed not that he was a disciple.

- And he was with them coming in and going out at Jerusalem.

- So he went in and out among them at Jerusalem, preaching boldly in the name of the Lord.

- And he spake boldly in the name of the Lord Jesus, and disputed against the Grecians: but they went about to slay him.
- şi propovăduia cu îndrăzneală în Numele Domnului. Vorbea şi se întreba şi cu evreii care vorbeau greceşte, dar ei căutau să-l omoare.
- And he spoke and disputed against the Hellenists. But they were seeking to kill him.

- Amikor ez a testvérek tudomására jutott, levitték Cézáreába, és elküldték Tarzuszba.

- Which when the brethren knew, they brought him down to Caesarea, and sent him forth to Tarsus.

- Az egyháznak tehát egész Júdeában, Galileában és Samáriában békessége volt; az Úr félelmében épültek és jártak, és a Szentlélek vigasztalása által számban gyarapodtak.

- Then had the churches rest throughout all Judaea and Galilee and Samaria, and were edified; and walking in the fear of the Lord, and in the comfort of the Holy Ghost, were multiplied.
- Biserica se bucura de pace în toată Iudeea, Galileea şi Samaria, se întărea sufleteşte şi umbla în frica Domnului; şi, cu ajutorul Duhului Sfânt, se înmulţea.
- So the church throughout all Judea and Galilee and Samaria had peace and was being built up. And walking in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit, it multiplied.

- And it came to pass, as Peter passed throughout all quarters, he came down also to the saints which dwelt at Lydda.

- And there he found a certain man named Aeneas, which had kept his bed eight years, and was sick of the palsy.

- There he found a man named Aeneas, bedridden for eight years, who was paralyzed.

- Péter azt mondta neki: Éneász, Jézus Krisztus meggyógyít téged, kelj föl, vesd be magad az ágyadat! És azonnal felkelt.
- És monda néki Péter: Éneás, gyógyítson meg téged a Jézus Krisztus: kelj föl, vesd meg magad az ágyadat! És azonnal felkele.
- And Peter said unto him, Aeneas, Jesus Christ maketh thee whole: arise, and make thy bed. And he arose immediately.
- „Enea”, i-a zis Petru, „Isus Hristos te vindecă; scoală-te şi fă-ţi patul.” Şi Enea s-a sculat îndată.
- And Peter said to him, “Aeneas, Jesus Christ heals you; rise and make your bed.” And immediately he rose.

- And all that dwelt at Lydda and Saron saw him, and turned to the Lord.

- And all the residents of Lydda and Sharon saw him, and they turned to the Lord.

- Joppéban pedig volt egy nőtanítvány – név szerint Tábita, amely azt jelenti: Dorkász, azaz zerge –, aki sok jót tett, és alamizsnát osztogatott.

- Now there was at Joppa a certain disciple named Tabitha, which by interpretation is called Dorcas: this woman was full of good works and almsdeeds which she did.

- Now there was in Joppa a disciple named Tabitha, which, translated, means Dorcas. She was full of good works and acts of charity.

- And it came to pass in those days, that she was sick, and died: whom when they had washed, they laid her in an upper chamber.

- Mivel Lidda Joppéhoz közel volt, a tanítványok, akik meghallották, hogy ott van Péter, elküldtek hozzá két férfit, és arra kérték, hogy késedelem nélkül jöjjön át hozzájuk.
- Mivelhogy pedig Lidda Joppéhoz közel vala, a tanítványok meghallván, hogy Péter ott van, küldének két férfiút ő hozzá, kérve, hogy késedelem nélkül menjen át hozzájuk.
- And forasmuch as Lydda was nigh to Joppa, and the disciples had heard that Peter was there, they sent unto him two men, desiring him that he would not delay to come to them.

- Then Peter arose and went with them. When he was come, they brought him into the upper chamber: and all the widows stood by him weeping, and shewing the coats and garments which Dorcas made, while she was with them.

- So Peter rose and went with them. And when he arrived, they took him to the upper room. All the widows stood beside him weeping and showing tunics and other garments that Dorcas made while she was with them.

- Péter pedig mindenkit kiküldött, majd térdre esve imádkozott, és a holttest felé fordulva azt mondta: Tábita, kelj fel! Az pedig felnyitotta a szemét, és Pétert meglátva felült.

- But Peter put them all forth, and kneeled down, and prayed; and turning him to the body said, Tabitha, arise. And she opened her eyes: and when she saw Peter, she sat up.
- Petru a scos pe toată lumea afară, a îngenuncheat şi s-a rugat; apoi, s-a întors spre trup şi a zis: „Tabita, scoală-te!” Ea a deschis ochii şi, când a văzut pe Petru, a stat în capul oaselor.
- But Peter put them all outside, and knelt down and prayed; and turning to the body he said, “Tabitha, arise.” And she opened her eyes, and when she saw Peter she sat up.
