Amikor eldőlt, hogy Itáliába hajózunk, átadták Pált és több más foglyot a császári seregből való Juliusz nevű századosnak.

Midőn pedig elvégeztetett, hogy mi Itáliába hajózzunk, átadák mind Pált, mind némely egyéb foglyokat egy Július nevű századosnak a császári seregből.

And when it was determined that we should sail into Italy, they delivered Paul and certain other prisoners unto one named Julius, a centurion of Augustus' band.

După ce s-a hotărât să plecăm cu corabia în Italia, pe Pavel şi pe alţi câţiva întemniţaţi i-au dat pe mâna unui sutaş al cetei de ostaşi Augusta, numit Iuliu.

And when it was decided that we should sail for Italy, they delivered Paul and some other prisoners to a centurion of the Augustan Cohort named Julius.

Beszálltunk tehát egy adramittiumi hajóba, amely az ázsiai partvidéket akarta behajózni, és elindultunk. Velünk volt a thesszalonikai macedón Arisztarkhosz is.

And entering into a ship of Adramyttium, we launched, meaning to sail by the coasts of Asia; one Aristarchus, a Macedonian of Thessalonica, being with us.

Ne-am suit într-o corabie de la Adramit, care avea să meargă pe coasta Asiei, şi am pornit. Aveam cu noi pe Aristarh macedoneanul din Tesalonic.

And embarking in a ship of Adramyttium, which was about to sail to the ports along the coast of Asia, we put to sea, accompanied by Aristarchus, a Macedonian from Thessalonica.

Másnap megérkeztünk Szidónba. Juliusz emberségesen bánt Pállal, megengedte, hogy elmenjen a barátaihoz, és azok gondoskodjanak róla.

És másnap megérkezénk Sidonba. És Július emberséggel bánván Pállal, megengedé, hogy barátaihoz elmenve gondoskodásukban részesüljön.

And the next day we touched at Sidon. And Julius courteously entreated Paul, and gave him liberty to go unto his friends to refresh himself.

A doua zi, am ajuns la Sidon; şi Iuliu, care se purta omenos cu Pavel, i-a dat voie să meargă pe la prietenii săi şi să fie îngrijit de ei.

The next day we put in at Sidon. And Julius treated Paul kindly and gave him leave to go to his friends and be cared for.

És onnan elindulván, Ciprus alatt evezénk el, mivelhogy a szelek ellenkezők valának.

And when we had launched from thence, we sailed under Cyprus, because the winds were contrary.

După ce am plecat de acolo, am plutit pe lângă Cipru, pentru că vânturile erau potrivnice.

And putting out to sea from there we sailed under the lee of Cyprus, because the winds were against us.

Majd Cilicia és Pamfilia partja mellett elhajózva eljutottunk a líciai Mirába.

És a Cziliczia és Pámfilia mellett levő tengeren átevezvén, eljutánk a licziai Mirába.

And when we had sailed over the sea of Cilicia and Pamphylia, we came to Myra, a city of Lycia.

După ce am trecut marea care scaldă Cilicia şi Pamfilia, am ajuns la Mira în Licia.

And when we had sailed across the open sea along the coast of Cilicia and Pamphylia, we came to Myra in Lycia.

Több napon át azonban csak lassan haladtunk, és nehezen jutottunk el Kniduszig, de mivel a szél nem engedett bennünket odajutni, elhajóztunk Kréta alatt, Szalmóné közelében.

Több napon át azonban lassan hajózván és nehezen érkezvén Knidushoz, mivel nem enged vala bennünket [odajutni] a szél, elhajózánk Kréta alatt, Salmóné mellett,

And when we had sailed slowly many days, and scarce were come over against Cnidus, the wind not suffering us, we sailed under Crete, over against Salmone;

Timp de mai multe zile, am mers încet cu corabia, şi nu fără greutate am atins înălţimea Cnid, unde nu ne-a lăsat vântul să ne oprim. Am trecut pe la capătul Cretei, alături de Salmona.

We sailed slowly for a number of days and arrived with difficulty off Cnidus, and as the wind did not allow us to go farther, we sailed under the lee of Crete off Salmone.

Nagy nehezen elhajóztunk mellette, majd eljutottunk egy helyre, amelyet Szépkikötőknek neveznek, s melyhez közel van Lázea városa.

És nagy ügygyel-bajjal elhajózván mellette, jutánk egy helyre, melyet Szépkikötőknek neveznek, melyhez közel vala Lásea városa.

And, hardly passing it, came unto a place which is called The fair havens; nigh whereunto was the city of Lasea.

De abia am mers cu corabia pe marginea insulei şi am ajuns la un loc numit „Limanuri bune”, de care era aproape cetatea Lasea.

Coasting along it with difficulty, we came to a place called Fair Havens, near which was the city of Lasea.

Mivel pedig már sok idő telt el, és a hajózás kezdett veszélyessé válni, mert a böjt is elmúlt már, Pál figyelmeztette őket:

Mivel pedig sok idő mult el, és a hajózás más veszedelmes vala, mivelhogy a bőjt is elmult immár, inti vala Pál őket,

Now when much time was spent, and when sailing was now dangerous, because the fast was now already past, Paul admonished them,

Trecuse destul de multă vreme, şi călătoria pe mare se făcea primejdioasă, pentru că trecuse chiar şi vremea „postului”. De aceea Pavel a înştiinţat pe ceilalţi

Since much time had passed, and the voyage was now dangerous because even the Fast was already over, Paul advised them,

Férfiak, úgy látom, hogy ez a hajózás nemcsak a rakománynak és a hajónak, hanem a mi életünknek is ártalmára és nagy kárára lesz.

Ezt mondván nékik: Férfiak, látom, hogy nemcsak a teréhnek és a hajónak, hanem a mi életünknek is bántódásával és nagy kárával fog történni e hajózás.

And said unto them, Sirs, I perceive that this voyage will be with hurt and much damage, not only of the lading and ship, but also of our lives.

şi le-a zis: „Oamenilor, călătoria văd că nu se va face fără primejdie şi fără multă pagubă, nu numai pentru încărcătură şi pentru corabie, dar chiar şi pentru vieţile noastre.”

saying, “Sirs, I perceive that the voyage will be with injury and much loss, not only of the cargo and the ship, but also of our lives.”

De a százados inkább hitt a kormányosnak és a hajótulajdonosnak, mint annak, amit Pál mondott.

De a százados inkább hisz vala a kormányosmesternek és a hajótulajdonosnak, hogynem annak, a mit Pál mond vala.

Nevertheless the centurion believed the master and the owner of the ship, more than those things which were spoken by Paul.

Sutaşul a ascultat mai mult de cârmaci şi de stăpânul corăbiei decât de vorbele lui Pavel.

But the centurion paid more attention to the pilot and to the owner of the ship than to what Paul said.

Mivel a kikötő telelésre nem volt alkalmas, ezért a többség úgy határozott, hogy hajózzanak tovább, ha csak lehetséges, egy krétai kikötőbe, Főnixbe, amely délnyugat és északnyugat felé néz.

Mivel pedig az a kikötő telelésre nem volt alkalmas, a többség azt határozá, hogy hajózzanak el onnan is, ha valami módon eljutva Fénixbe, Kréta kikötőjébe, mely délnyugot és északnyugot felé néz, kitelelhetnének.

And because the haven was not commodious to winter in, the more part advised to depart thence also, if by any means they might attain to Phenice, and there to winter; which is an haven of Crete, and lieth toward the south west and north west.

And because the harbor was not suitable to spend the winter in, the majority decided to put out to sea from there, on the chance that somehow they could reach Phoenix, a harbor of Crete, facing both southwest and northwest, and spend the winter there.

Mivel pedig gyenge déli szél kezdett fújni, úgy gondolták, hogy feltett szándékukat véghezvihetik, felszedték hát a horgonyt, és Kréta mentén hajóztak tovább.

And when the south wind blew softly, supposing that they had obtained their purpose, loosing thence, they sailed close by Crete.

Începuse să sufle un vânt uşor de miazăzi; şi, ca unii care se credeau stăpâni pe ţintă, au ridicat ancorele şi au pornit cu corabia pe marginea Cretei.

Now when the south wind blew gently, supposing that they had obtained their purpose, they weighed anchor and sailed along Crete, close to the shore.

Nemsokára azonban a sziget felől viharos szél csapott le ránk, amelyet északkeletinek neveznek,

But not long after there arose against it a tempestuous wind, called Euroclydon.

Dar nu după multă vreme, s-a dezlănţuit asupra insulei un vânt furtunos, numit Eurachilon.

But soon a tempestuous wind, called the northeaster, struck down from the land.

Mikor pedig a hajó elragadtatott, és nem bírt a széllel szembe menni, nekieresztvén [azt,] vitetünk vala tova.

And when the ship was caught, and could not bear up into the wind, we let her drive.

Corabia a fost luată de el, fără să poată lupta împotriva vântului, şi ne-am lăsat duşi în voia lui.

And when the ship was caught and could not face the wind, we gave way to it and were driven along.

Amikor pedig egy kis sziget alá futottunk, amelyet Klaudának hívnak, alig bírtuk hatalmunkban tartani a csónakot.

Mikor pedig egy kis sziget alá futottunk, mely Klaudának hívattatik, csak alig bírtuk hatalmunkba keríteni a csolnakot.

And running under a certain island which is called Clauda, we had much work to come by the boat:

Am trecut repede pe la partea de jos a unui ostrov, numit Clauda, şi abia am putut să punem mâna pe luntre.

Running under the lee of a small island called Cauda, we managed with difficulty to secure the ship’s boat.

Miután azt felvonták, védőintézkedéseket tettek: alul átkötötték a hajót, és mivel féltek, hogy Szirtisz zátonyaira futnak, leeresztették a horgonyt, és úgy sodródtak tovább.

Melyet miután felvontak, védőeszközöket alkalmaznak vala, alól megövedzvén a hajót; és mivel félnek vala, hogy zátonyra bukkannak, lebocsátván a vitorlát, úgy vitetnek vala.

Which when they had taken up, they used helps, undergirding the ship; and, fearing lest they should fall into the quicksands, strake sail, and so were driven.

După ce au ridicat-o în sus, au întrebuinţat mijloace de ajutor, au încins corabia cu frânghii; şi, de teamă să nu cadă peste Sirta, au lăsat pânzele în jos. Astfel s-au lăsat mânaţi de vânt.

After hoisting it up, they used supports to undergird the ship. Then, fearing that they would run aground on the Syrtis, they lowered the gear, and thus they were driven along.

Amikor pedig a szélvésztől nagyon hányattattunk, másnap a hajóterhet kidobták,

Mikor pedig a szélvésztől nagyon hányattatánk, másnap a hajóterhet kihányák;

And we being exceedingly tossed with a tempest, the next day they lightened the ship;

Fiindcă eram bătuţi foarte tare de furtună, a doua zi au început să arunce în mare încărcătura din corabie,

Since we were violently storm-tossed, they began the next day to jettison the cargo.

And the third day we cast out with our own hands the tackling of the ship.

şi a treia zi, noi, cu mâinile noastre, am lepădat uneltele corăbiei.

And on the third day they threw the ship’s tackle overboard with their own hands.

Amikor pedig több napon át sem a nap, sem a csillagok nem látszottak, és nem kis vihar tombolt, minden reménységünk elveszett az életben maradásunk felől.

Mikor pedig több napon át sem nap, sem csillagok nem látszottak, és nem kis vihar szorongatott, továbbra minden reménységünk elvétetett életben maradásunk felől.

And when neither sun nor stars in many days appeared, and no small tempest lay on us, all hope that we should be saved was then taken away.

Soarele şi stelele nu s-au văzut mai multe zile, şi furtuna era aşa de puternică încât la urmă pierdusem orice nădejde de scăpare.

When neither sun nor stars appeared for many days, and no small tempest lay on us, all hope of our being saved was at last abandoned.

Amikor pedig már jó ideje nem ettek, Pál felállt közöttük, és azt mondta: Férfiak, jobb lett volna, ha rám hallgattok, és nem indulunk el Krétából, így elkerültük volna ezt a bajt és kárt.

Mikor pedig hosszas volt már az étlenség, akkor Pál felállván ő közöttük, monda: Jóllehet szükséges lett volna, óh férfiak, hogy engedelmeskedve nékem, ne indultunk volna el Krétából, és elkerültük volna ezt a bajt és kárt:

But after long abstinence Paul stood forth in the midst of them, and said, Sirs, ye should have hearkened unto me, and not have loosed from Crete, and to have gained this harm and loss.

Oamenii nu mâncaseră de multă vreme. Atunci Pavel s-a sculat în mijlocul lor şi a zis: „Oamenilor, trebuia să mă ascultaţi şi să nu fi pornit cu corabia din Creta, ca să fi scăpat de această primejdie şi de această pagubă.

Since they had been without food for a long time, Paul stood up among them and said, “Men, you should have listened to me and not have set sail from Crete and incurred this injury and loss.

De még most is biztatlak titeket: Ne veszítsétek el a reményt, mert egy lélek sem vész el közületek, hanem csak a hajó.

Mindazáltal mostanra nézve is intelek benneteket, hogy jó reménységben legyetek; mert egy lélek sem vész el közületek, hanem csak a hajó.

And now I exhort you to be of good cheer: for there shall be no loss of any man's life among you, but of the ship.

Acum vă sfătuiesc să fiţi cu voie bună; pentru că niciunul din voi nu va pieri; şi nu va fi altă pierdere decât a corăbiei.

Yet now I urge you to take heart, for there will be no loss of life among you, but only of the ship.

Mert ma éjjel mellém állt annak az Istennek az angyala, akié vagyok, és akinek szolgálok,

Mert ez éjjel mellém álla egy angyala az Istennek, a kié vagyok, a kinek szolgálok is,

For there stood by me this night the angel of God, whose I am, and whom I serve,

Un înger al Dumnezeului, al căruia sunt eu şi căruia Îi slujesc, mi s-a arătat azi-noapte

For this very night there stood before me an angel of the God to whom I belong and whom I worship,

és ezt mondta: Ne félj, Pál, a császár elé kell állnod, és Isten ajándékba adta neked mindazokat, akik veled hajóznak.

Ezt mondván: Ne félj Pál! A császár elé kell néked állanod. És ímé az Isten ajándékba adta néked mindazokat, kik te veled hajóznak.

Saying, Fear not, Paul; thou must be brought before Caesar: and, lo, God hath given thee all them that sail with thee.

şi mi-a zis: „Nu te teme, Pavele; tu trebuie să stai înaintea cezarului; şi iată că Dumnezeu ţi-a dăruit pe toţi cei ce merg cu corabia împreună cu tine.”

and he said, ‘Do not be afraid, Paul; you must stand before Caesar. And behold, God has granted you all those who sail with you.’

Azért bízzatok, férfiak, mert én hiszek Istennek, hogy úgy lesz, amint nekem megmondta.

Annakokáért jó reménységben legyetek, férfiak! Mert hiszek az Istnnek, hogy úgy lesz, a mint nékem megmondatott.

Wherefore, sirs, be of good cheer: for I believe God, that it shall be even as it was told me.

De aceea, oamenilor, liniştiţi-vă, căci am încredere în Dumnezeu că se va întâmpla aşa cum mi s-a spus.

So take heart, men, for I have faith in God that it will be exactly as I have been told.

Egy szigetre kell kivetődnünk.

Egy szigetre kell pedig nékünk kivetődnünk.

Howbeit we must be cast upon a certain island.

Dar trebuie să dăm peste un ostrov.”

But we must run aground on some island.”

Amikor pedig eljött az Adrián való hányattatásunk tizennegyedik éjszakája, éjféltájban észrevették a hajósok, hogy valamilyen szárazföldhöz közelednek.

Mikor pedig a tizennegyedik éjszaka eljött, a mint ide s tova hányatánk az Ádrián, éjféltájban észrevevék a hajósok hogy valami szárazföld közelget hozzájok.

But when the fourteenth night was come, as we were driven up and down in Adria, about midnight the shipmen deemed that they drew near to some country;

În noaptea a paisprezecea, pe când eram împinşi încoace şi încolo cu corabia pe marea Adriatică, pe la miezul nopţii, marinarii au bănuit că se apropie de pământ.

When the fourteenth night had come, as we were being driven across the Adriatic Sea, about midnight the sailors suspected that they were nearing land.

Lebocsátották a mérőónt, és húsz ölt állapítottak meg, majd egy kissé továbbmentek, és ismét lebocsátották a mérőónt, és tizenöt ölt mértek.

És lebocsátván a vízmérő ónt, húsz ölnyinek találák, majd egy kevéssé tovább menvén és ismét lebocsátván a vízmérő ónt, találák tizenöt ölnyinek.

And sounded, and found it twenty fathoms: and when they had gone a little further, they sounded again, and found it fifteen fathoms.

Au măsurat adâncimea apei şi au găsit douăzeci de stânjeni; au mers puţin mai departe, au măsurat-o din nou şi au găsit cincisprezece stânjeni.

So they took a sounding and found twenty fathoms. A little farther on they took a sounding again and found fifteen fathoms.

Mivel féltek, hogy valami szirtes helyre vetődünk, a hajó farából négy horgonyt vetettek ki, alig várva, hogy nappal legyen.

És mivel féltek, hogy szirtes helyekre vetődhetnek, a hajónak hátulsó részéből négy vasmacskát vetvén ki, kívánják vala, hogy nappal legyen.

Then fearing lest we should have fallen upon rocks, they cast four anchors out of the stern, and wished for the day.

De teamă să nu se lovească de stânci, au aruncat patru ancore înspre cârma corăbiei şi doreau să se facă ziuă.

And fearing that we might run on the rocks, they let down four anchors from the stern and prayed for day to come.

Ekkor a hajósok el akartak menekülni a hajóról, és a csónakot lebocsátották a tengerre azzal az ürüggyel, mintha a hajó orrából akarnának horgonyt vetni.

A hajósok pedig mikor el akarának menekülni a hajóból, és a csolnakot lebocsáták a tengerre, annak színe alatt, mintha a hajó orrából vasmacskákat akarnának vetni,

And as the shipmen were about to flee out of the ship, when they had let down the boat into the sea, under colour as though they would have cast anchors out of the foreship,

Dar, deoarece corăbierii căutau să fugă din corabie şi slobozeau luntrea în mare, sub cuvânt că ar vrea să arunce ancorele înspre partea dinainte a corăbiei,

And as the sailors were seeking to escape from the ship, and had lowered the ship’s boat into the sea under pretense of laying out anchors from the bow,

Pál azonban azt mondta a századosnak és a katonáknak: Ha ezek a hajóban nem maradnak, ti sem menekülhettek meg.

Monda Pál a századosnak és a vitézeknek: Ha ezek a hajóban nem maradnak, ti meg nem szabadulhattok.

Paul said to the centurion and to the soldiers, Except these abide in the ship, ye cannot be saved.

Pavel a zis sutaşului şi ostaşilor: „Dacă oamenii aceştia nu vor rămâne în corabie, nu puteţi fi scăpaţi.”

Paul said to the centurion and the soldiers, “Unless these men stay in the ship, you cannot be saved.”

Akkor a katonák elvágták a csónak köteleit, és hagyták, hogy kiessen.

Akkor a vitézek elvágák a csolnak köteleit, és ki hagyák esni azt.

Then the soldiers cut off the ropes of the boat, and let her fall off.

Atunci ostaşii au tăiat funiile luntrei şi au lăsat-o să cadă jos.

Then the soldiers cut away the ropes of the ship’s boat and let it go.

Addig pedig, amíg megvirradt, Pál mindnyájukat arra biztatta, hogy egyenek. Így szólt hozzájuk: Ma van tizennegyedik napja, hogy étlen várakoztok, és nem vettetek magatokhoz semmit.

Addig pedig, míg nappal lenne, inti vala Pál mindnyájokat, hogy egyenek, mondván: Ma tizennegyedik napja, mióta folyton étlen várakoztok, semmit sem véve magatokhoz.

And while the day was coming on, Paul besought them all to take meat, saying, This day is the fourteenth day that ye have tarried and continued fasting, having taken nothing.

Înainte de ziuă, Pavel a rugat pe toţi să mănânce şi a zis: „Astăzi sunt paisprezece zile de când staţi mereu de veghe şi n-aţi luat nimic de mâncare în gură.

As day was about to dawn, Paul urged them all to take some food, saying, “Today is the fourteenth day that you have continued in suspense and without food, having taken nothing.

Azért kérlek titeket, hogy egyetek, mert ez a megmaradásotokat szolgálja. Mert közületek senkinek sem esik le egy hajszál sem a fejéről.

Azért intelek benneteket, hogy egyetek, mert ez a ti javatokra szolgál. Mert közületek senkinek sem esik le egy hajszál a fejéről.

Wherefore I pray you to take some meat: for this is for your health: for there shall not an hair fall from the head of any of you.

De aceea vă rog să mâncaţi, căci lucrul acesta este pentru scăparea voastră; şi nu vi se va pierde niciun păr din cap.”

Therefore I urge you to take some food. For it will give you strength, for not a hair is to perish from the head of any of you.”

Amikor ezeket mondta, kenyeret vett a kezébe, hálát adott Istennek mindnyájuk előtt, majd megtörte, és enni kezdett.

Mikor pedig ezeket mondá, és kenyeret vőn kezébe, hálákat ada Istennek mindnyájok előtt, és megtörvén, kezde enni.

And when he had thus spoken, he took bread, and gave thanks to God in presence of them all: and when he had broken it, he began to eat.

După ce a spus aceste vorbe, a luat pâine, a mulţumit lui Dumnezeu înaintea tuturor, a frânt-o şi a început să mănânce.

And when he had said these things, he took bread, and giving thanks to God in the presence of all he broke it and began to eat.

Erre mindnyájan nekibátorodtak, és ők is ettek.

Felbátorodván pedig mindnyájan, szintén vevének magukhoz táplálékot.

Then were they all of good cheer, and they also took some meat.

Toţi s-au îmbărbătat atunci şi au luat şi ei de au mâncat.

Then they all were encouraged and ate some food themselves.

And when they had eaten enough, they lightened the ship, and cast out the wheat into the sea.

După ce s-au săturat, au uşurat corabia, aruncând grâul în mare.

And when they had eaten enough, they lightened the ship, throwing out the wheat into the sea.

Amikor megvirradt, nem ismerték fel a szárazföldet, csak egy tengeröblöt láttak, melynek lapos partja volt, és úgy döntöttek, hogy ha tudják, arra futtatják rá a hajót.

And when it was day, they knew not the land: but they discovered a certain creek with a shore, into the which they were minded, if it were possible, to thrust in the ship.

Când s-a făcut ziuă, n-au cunoscut pământul; dar au văzut de departe un golf care avea maluri nisipoase şi au hotărât să împingă corabia într-acolo, dacă va fi cu putinţă.

Now when it was day, they did not recognize the land, but they noticed a bay with a beach, on which they planned if possible to run the ship ashore.

And when they had taken up the anchors, they committed themselves unto the sea, and loosed the rudder bands, and hoised up the mainsail to the wind, and made toward shore.

Au tăiat ancorele, ca să le sloboadă în mare, şi au slăbit în acelaşi timp funiile cârmelor; apoi au ridicat ventrila cea mică după suflarea vântului şi s-au îndreptat spre mal.

So they cast off the anchors and left them in the sea, at the same time loosening the ropes that tied the rudders. Then hoisting the foresail to the wind they made for the beach.

And falling into a place where two seas met, they ran the ship aground; and the forepart stuck fast, and remained unmoveable, but the hinder part was broken with the violence of the waves.

But striking a reef, they ran the vessel aground. The bow stuck and remained immovable, and the stern was being broken up by the surf.

De a százados eltiltotta őket ettől a szándékuktól, mivel meg akarta tartani Pált, és megparancsolta, hogy akik úszni tudnak, először azok ugorjanak a tengerbe, és meneküljenek ki a szárazföldre,

But the centurion, willing to save Paul, kept them from their purpose; and commanded that they which could swim should cast themselves first into the sea, and get to land:

And the rest, some on boards, and some on broken pieces of the ship. And so it came to pass, that they escaped all safe to land.
