Amikor Fesztusz megérkezett a tartományba, három nap múlva felment Cézáreából Jeruzsálembe.

Festus tehát, miután bement a tartományba, három nap mulva felméne Jeruzsálembe Czézáreából.

Now when Festus was come into the province, after three days he ascended from Caesarea to Jerusalem.

Festus, când a venit în ţinutul său, după trei zile, s-a suit de la Cezareea în Ierusalim.

Now three days after Festus had arrived in the province, he went up to Jerusalem from Caesarea.

A főpap és a zsidók főemberei pedig panaszt tettek neki Pál ellen, és kérték,

Panaszt tőnek pedig néki a főpap és a zsidók főemberei Pál ellen, és kérék őt,

Then the high priest and the chief of the Jews informed him against Paul, and besought him,

Preoţii cei mai de seamă şi fruntaşii iudeilor i-au adus plângere împotriva lui Pavel. L-au rugat cu stăruinţă

And the chief priests and the principal men of the Jews laid out their case against Paul, and they urged him,

hogy a kedvükért vitesse át őt Jeruzsálembe, mert tőrbe akarták csalni, hogy útközben megöljék.

Kérvén magok számára jóindulatát ő ellene, hogy hozassa át őt Jeruzsálembe, lest vetvén, hogy megölhessék őt az úton.

And desired favour against him, that he would send for him to Jerusalem, laying wait in the way to kill him.

şi i-au cerut, ca un hatâr pentru ei, să trimită să-l aducă la Ierusalim. Prin aceasta îi întindeau o cursă, ca să-l omoare pe drum.

asking as a favor against Paul that he summon him to Jerusalem—because they were planning an ambush to kill him on the way.

Fesztusz azonban azt felelte, hogy Pált Cézáreában őrzik, ő maga pedig hamarosan odamegy.

Festus azonban azt felelé, hogy Pált Czézáreában őrzik, ő maga pedig csakhamar ki fog menni:

But Festus answered, that Paul should be kept at Caesarea, and that he himself would depart shortly thither.

Festus a răspuns că Pavel este păzit în Cezareea şi că el însuşi are să plece în curând acolo.

Festus replied that Paul was being kept at Caesarea and that he himself intended to go there shortly.

Akik tehát közöttetek illetékesek – mondta –, jöjjenek velem, és ha valami kifogásolható van abban a férfiban, emeljenek vádat ellene!

A kik azért köztetek, úgymond, főemberek, velem alájővén, ha valami gonoszság van abban a férfiúban, emeljenek vádat ellene.

Let them therefore, said he, which among you are able, go down with me, and accuse this man, if there be any wickedness in him.

„Deci”, a zis el, „cei mai de frunte dintre voi să se coboare împreună cu mine şi, dacă este ceva vinovat în omul acesta, să-l pârască.”

“So,” said he, “let the men of authority among you go down with me, and if there is anything wrong about the man, let them bring charges against him.”

Miután nem több mint nyolc-tíz napot időzött közöttük, lement Cézáreába, és másnap bírói székébe ült, és elővezettette Pált.

Miután pedig tíz napnál tovább időzött közöttük, lemenvén Czézáreába, másnap ítélőszékibe üle, és Pált előhozatá.

And when he had tarried among them more than ten days, he went down unto Caesarea; and the next day sitting on the judgment seat commanded Paul to be brought.

Festus n-a zăbovit între ei decât opt sau zece zile; apoi s-a coborât la Cezareea. A doua zi, a şezut pe scaunul de judecător şi a poruncit să fie adus Pavel.

After he stayed among them not more than eight or ten days, he went down to Caesarea. And the next day he took his seat on the tribunal and ordered Paul to be brought.

Amikor Pál megjelent, körülállták a zsidók, akik lementek Jeruzsálemből, és sok súlyos vádat hoztak fel ellene, amelyeket azonban nem tudtak bizonyítani.

Mikor pedig az megjelent, körülállák a zsidók, kik alámentek vala Jeruzsálemből, sok és súlyos vádat hozván fel Pál ellen, melyeket nem bírtak bebizonyítani;

And when he was come, the Jews which came down from Jerusalem stood round about, and laid many and grievous complaints against Paul, which they could not prove.

Când a sosit Pavel, iudeii care veniseră de la Ierusalim l-au înconjurat şi au adus împotriva lui multe şi grele învinuiri pe care nu le puteau dovedi.

When he had arrived, the Jews who had come down from Jerusalem stood around him, bringing many and serious charges against him that they could not prove.

Pál a maga védelmére ezt hozta fel: Sem a zsidók törvénye ellen, sem a templom ellen, sem a császár ellen semmit sem vétettem.

Mivelhogy ő a maga mentségére ezt feleli vala: Sem a zsidók törvénye ellen, sem a templom ellen, sem a császár ellen semmit sem vétettem.

While he answered for himself, Neither against the law of the Jews, neither against the temple, nor yet against Caesar, have I offended any thing at all.

Pavel a început să se apere şi a zis: „N-am păcătuit cu nimic, nici împotriva Legii iudeilor, nici împotriva Templului, nici împotriva cezarului.”

Paul argued in his defense, “Neither against the law of the Jews, nor against the temple, nor against Caesar have I committed any offense.”

Fesztusz pedig kedvükben akart járni a zsidóknak, és azt kérdezte Páltól: Föl akarsz menni Jeruzsálembe, hogy ott ítélkezzem feletted ebben az ügyben?

Festus pedig a zsidóknak kedveskedni akarván, felelvén Pálnak, monda: Akarsz-é Jeruzsálembe felmenni és ott ítéltetni meg ezekről én előttem?

But Festus, willing to do the Jews a pleasure, answered Paul, and said, Wilt thou go up to Jerusalem, and there be judged of these things before me?

Festus, care voia să capete bunăvoinţa iudeilor, drept răspuns, a zis lui Pavel: „Vrei să te sui la Ierusalim şi să fii judecat pentru aceste lucruri înaintea mea?”

But Festus, wishing to do the Jews a favor, said to Paul, “Do you wish to go up to Jerusalem and there be tried on these charges before me?”

Pál azonban azt mondta: A császár ítélőszéke előtt állok, itt kell felettem ítélkezni. A zsidók ellen semmit sem vétettem, mint te magad is jól tudod.

Pál azonban monda: A császár ítélőszéke előtt állok, itt kell nékem megítéltetnem. A zsidóknak semmit sem vétettem, miként te is jól tudod.

Then said Paul, I stand at Caesar's judgment seat, where I ought to be judged: to the Jews have I done no wrong, as thou very well knowest.

Pavel a zis: „Eu stau înaintea scaunului de judecată al cezarului; acolo trebuie să fiu judecat. Pe iudei nu i-am nedreptăţit cu nimic, după cum ştii şi tu foarte bine.

But Paul said, “I am standing before Caesar’s tribunal, where I ought to be tried. To the Jews I have done no wrong, as you yourself know very well.

Mert ha vétkes vagyok, és valami halálra méltót cselekedtem, nem vonakodom a haláltól, ha azonban semmi sincs azokban, amikkel ezek vádolnak engem, senki sem szolgáltathat ki nekik. A császárhoz fellebbezek!

Mert ha vétkes vagyok és valami halálra méltót cselekedtem, nem vonakodom a haláltól; ha azonban semmi sincs azokban, a mikkel ezek vádolnak engem, senki sem ajándékozhat oda engem azoknak. A császárra appellálok!

For if I be an offender, or have committed any thing worthy of death, I refuse not to die: but if there be none of these things whereof these accuse me, no man may deliver me unto them. I appeal unto Caesar.

Dacă am făcut vreo nedreptate sau vreo nelegiuire vrednică de moarte, nu mă dau în lături de la moarte; dar, dacă nu este nimic adevărat din lucrurile de care mă pârăsc ei, nimeni n-are dreptul să mă dea în mâinile lor. Cer să fiu judecat de cezar.”

If then I am a wrongdoer and have committed anything for which I deserve to die, I do not seek to escape death. But if there is nothing to their charges against me, no one can give me up to them. I appeal to Caesar.”

Akkor Fesztusz szót váltott tanácsosaival, és így válaszolt: A császárhoz fellebbeztél, a császár elé fogsz menni.

Akkor Festus tanácsával értekezvén, felele: A császárra appelláltál, a császár elé fogsz menni!

Then Festus, when he had conferred with the council, answered, Hast thou appealed unto Caesar? unto Caesar shalt thou go.

Atunci Festus, după ce s-a chibzuit cu sfetnicii lui, a răspuns: „De cezar ai cerut să fii judecat, înaintea cezarului te vei duce.”

Then Festus, when he had conferred with his council, answered, “To Caesar you have appealed; to Caesar you shall go.”

Néhány nap múlva pedig Agrippa király és Bereniké érkezett Cézáreába, hogy köszöntsék Fesztuszt.

Néhány nap elmúltával pedig Agrippa király és Bernicé érkezék Czézáreába, hogy köszöntsék Festust.

And after certain days king Agrippa and Bernice came unto Caesarea to salute Festus.

După câteva zile, împăratul Agripa şi Berenice au sosit la Cezareea, ca să ureze de bine lui Festus.

Now when some days had passed, Agrippa the king and Bernice arrived at Caesarea and greeted Festus.

Mivel több napot ott töltöttek, Fesztusz szóba hozta a király előtt Pál ügyét: Van itt egy férfi, akit Félix hagyott itt fogolyként.

Mikor pedig több napig időztek ott, Festus elébe adá a királynak a Pál dolgát, mondván: Van itt egy férfiú, kit Félix hagyott fogva.

And when they had been there many days, Festus declared Paul's cause unto the king, saying, There is a certain man left in bonds by Felix:

Fiindcă au stat acolo mai multe zile, Festus a spus împăratului cum stau lucrurile cu Pavel; şi a zis: „Felix a lăsat în temniţă pe un om,

And as they stayed there many days, Festus laid Paul’s case before the king, saying, “There is a man left prisoner by Felix,

Amikor Jeruzsálemben jártam, a főpapok és a zsidók vénei panaszt emeltek ellene, és elítélését kérték.

Ki felől, mikor Jeruzsálembe mentem, jelentést tőnek a főpapok és a zsidóknak vénei, kérve ő ellene ítéletet.

About whom, when I was at Jerusalem, the chief priests and the elders of the Jews informed me, desiring to have judgment against him.

împotriva căruia, când eram eu în Ierusalim, mi s-au plâns preoţii cei mai de seamă şi bătrânii iudeilor şi i-au cerut osândirea.

and when I was at Jerusalem, the chief priests and the elders of the Jews laid out their case against him, asking for a sentence of condemnation against him.

Azt válaszoltam nekik, hogy a rómaiaknak nem szokásuk kiadni egy embert azelőtt, hogy szembesítenék a vádlottat vádlóival, és alkalmat nem adnának neki, hogy védekezhessék a vád ellen.

Kiknek azt felelém, hogy nem szokásuk a rómaiaknak, hogy valamely embert halálra adjanak, mielőtt a vádlott szembe nem állíttatik vádlóival, és alkalmat nem nyer a vád felől való mentségére.

To whom I answered, It is not the manner of the Romans to deliver any man to die, before that he which is accused have the accusers face to face, and have licence to answer for himself concerning the crime laid against him.

Le-am răspuns că la romani nu este obiceiul să se dea niciun om, înainte ca cel pârât să fi fost pus faţă cu pârâşii lui şi să fi avut putinţa să se apere de lucrurile de care este pârât.

I answered them that it was not the custom of the Romans to give up anyone before the accused met the accusers face to face and had opportunity to make his defense concerning the charge laid against him.

Amikor tehát ők idejöttek, másnap halogatás nélkül a bírói székbe ültem, és elővezettettem azt a férfit.

Mikor azért ők ide gyűltek, minden haladék nélkül másnap az ítélőszékbe ülvén, előhozatám azt a férfiút,

Therefore, when they were come hither, without any delay on the morrow I sat on the judgment seat, and commanded the man to be brought forth.

Ei au venit deci aici; şi, fără întârziere, am şezut a doua zi pe scaunul meu de judecător şi am poruncit să aducă pe omul acesta.

So when they came together here, I made no delay, but on the next day took my seat on the tribunal and ordered the man to be brought.

Ám amikor vádlói előálltak, semmi olyan vádat nem hoztak fel ellene, amilyenre én gondoltam,

Ki ellen, mikor vádlói előálltak, semmi bűnt nem hoztak fel azok közül, a miket én sejtettem:

Against whom when the accusers stood up, they brought none accusation of such things as I supposed:

Pârâşii, când s-au înfăţişat, nu l-au învinuit de niciunul din lucrurile rele pe care mi le închipuiam eu.

When the accusers stood up, they brought no charge in his case of such evils as I supposed.

hanem valami vitás kérdéseik voltak vele a maguk vallásáról, egy bizonyos meghalt Jézus felől, akiről Pál azt állította, hogy él.

Hanem valami vitás kérdéseik valának ő vele az ő tulajdon babonaságuk felől, és bizonyos megholt Jézus felől, kiről Pál azt állítja vala, hogy él.

But had certain questions against him of their own superstition, and of one Jesus, which was dead, whom Paul affirmed to be alive.

Aveau împotriva lui numai nişte neînţelegeri cu privire la religia lor şi la un oarecare Isus care a murit şi despre care Pavel spunea că este viu.

Rather they had certain points of dispute with him about their own religion and about a certain Jesus, who was dead, but whom Paul asserted to be alive.

Mivel ezekben a vitás kérdésekben nem tudtam eligazodni, megkérdeztem, akar-e Jeruzsálembe menni, hogy ott mondjanak ítéletet ebben az ügyben.

Én pedig bizonytalanságban lévén az e felől való vitára nézve, kérdém, vajjon akar-é Jeruzsálembe menni, és ott ítéltetni meg ezek felől.

And because I doubted of such manner of questions, I asked him whether he would go to Jerusalem, and there be judged of these matters.

Fiindcă nu ştiam ce hotărâre să iau în neînţelegerea aceasta, l-am întrebat dacă vrea să meargă la Ierusalim şi să fie judecat acolo pentru aceste lucruri.

Being at a loss how to investigate these questions, I asked whether he wanted to go to Jerusalem and be tried there regarding them.

Amikor azonban Pál fellebbezett, hogy a császár döntéséig tartsák őrizetben, megparancsoltam, hogy őrizzék, amíg a császárhoz nem küldhetem.

Pál azonban appellálván, hogy ő Augustus döntésére tartassék fenn, parancsolám, hogy tartassék fogva, míg őt a császárhoz nem küldhetem.

But when Paul had appealed to be reserved unto the hearing of Augustus, I commanded him to be kept till I might send him to Caesar.

Dar Pavel a cerut ca pricina lui să fie ţinută ca să fie supusă hotărârii împăratului, şi am poruncit să fie păzit până ce-l voi trimite la cezar.”

But when Paul had appealed to be kept in custody for the decision of the emperor, I ordered him to be held until I could send him to Caesar.”

Agrippa pedig azt mondta Fesztusznak: Szeretném magam is meghallgatni azt az embert. Holnap hallani fogod – felelte Fesztusz.

Agrippa pedig monda Festusnak: Szeretném magam is azt az embert hallani. Ő pedig monda: Holnap meg fogod őt hallani.

Then Agrippa said unto Festus, I would also hear the man myself. To morrow, said he, thou shalt hear him.

Agripa a zis lui Festus: „Aş vrea să aud şi eu pe omul acela.” „Mâine”, a răspuns Festus, „îl vei auzi.”

Then Agrippa said to Festus, “I would like to hear the man myself.” “Tomorrow,” said he, “you will hear him.”

Másnap tehát Agrippa és Bereniké nagy pompával megjelent, és bement a kihallgatási terembe az ezredesekkel és a város főembereivel együtt, majd Fesztusz parancsára elővezették Pált.

Másnap tehát eljővén Agrippa és Bernicé nagy pompával, és bemenvén a kihallgatási terembe az ezredesekkel és a város főfőpolgáraival együtt, Festus parancsolatjára előhozák Pált.

And on the morrow, when Agrippa was come, and Bernice, with great pomp, and was entered into the place of hearing, with the chief captains, and principal men of the city, at Festus' commandment Paul was brought forth.

A doua zi deci, Agripa şi Berenice au venit cu multă fală şi au intrat în locul de ascultare împreună cu căpitanii şi cu oamenii cei mai de frunte ai cetăţii. La porunca lui Festus, Pavel a fost adus acolo.

So on the next day Agrippa and Bernice came with great pomp, and they entered the audience hall with the military tribunes and the prominent men of the city. Then, at the command of Festus, Paul was brought in.

Fesztusz így szólt: Agrippa király és ti férfiak mindnyájan, akik velünk együtt jelen vagytok! Látjátok ezt az embert, aki miatt a zsidók egész sokasága folyamodott hozzám Jeruzsálemben és itt is, azt kiáltozva, hogy ennek nem szabad tovább élnie.

És monda Festus: Agrippa király, és ti férfiak mindnyájan, kik velünk egybe itt vagytok! Látjátok őt, ki felől a zsidóknak egész sokasága megkeresett engem, mind Jeruzsálemben, mind itt, azt kiáltva, hogy nem kell néki tovább élnie.

And Festus said, King Agrippa, and all men which are here present with us, ye see this man, about whom all the multitude of the Jews have dealt with me, both at Jerusalem, and also here, crying that he ought not to live any longer.

Atunci Festus a zis: „Împărate Agripa şi voi toţi care sunteţi de faţă cu noi; uitaţi-vă la omul acesta, despre care toată mulţimea iudeilor m-a rugat în Ierusalim şi aici, strigând că nu trebuie să mai trăiască.

And Festus said, “King Agrippa and all who are present with us, you see this man about whom the whole Jewish people petitioned me, both in Jerusalem and here, shouting that he ought not to live any longer.

Én pedig úgy találtam, hogy semmi halált érdemlő dolgot nem cselekedett, de mivel a császárhoz fellebbezett, úgy döntöttem, hogy elküldöm.

Én pedig, ámbár megértém, hogy semmi halálra méltó dolgot sem cselekedett, de mivel éppen ő maga appellált Augustusra, elvégeztem, hogy elküldöm őt.

But when I found that he had committed nothing worthy of death, and that he himself hath appealed to Augustus, I have determined to send him.

Fiindcă am înţeles că n-a făcut nimic vrednic de moarte, şi fiindcă singur a cerut să fie judecat de cezar, am hotărât să-l trimit.

But I found that he had done nothing deserving death. And as he himself appealed to the emperor, I decided to go ahead and send him.

De semmi bizonyosat nem tudok róla írni az én uramnak. Ezért hozattam őt elétek és kiváltképpen teeléd, Agrippa király, hogy a kihallgatás megtörténtével tudjak mit írni.

Ki felől nem tudok valami bizonyost írni az én uramnak. Ezért hoztam őt előtökbe, és kiváltképen te elődbe, Agrippa király, hogy a kihallgatás megtörténtével tudjak mit írni.

Of whom I have no certain thing to write unto my lord. Wherefore I have brought him forth before you, and specially before thee, O king Agrippa, that, after examination had, I might have somewhat to write.

Eu n-am nimic temeinic de scris domnului meu cu privire la el; de aceea l-am adus înaintea voastră, şi mai ales înaintea ta, împărate Agripa, ca, după ce se va face cercetarea, să am ce scrie.

But I have nothing definite to write to my lord about him. Therefore I have brought him before you all, and especially before you, King Agrippa, so that, after we have examined him, I may have something to write.

Mert értelmetlennek látom, hogy aki foglyot küld, az ellene való vádakat ne jelentse.

Mert esztelen dolognak látszik nékem, hogy a ki foglyot küld, az ellene való vádakat is meg ne jelentse.

For it seemeth to me unreasonable to send a prisoner, and not withal to signify the crimes laid against him.

Căci mi se pare fără noimă să trimit pe un întemniţat, fără să arăt de ce este pârât.”

For it seems to me unreasonable, in sending a prisoner, not to indicate the charges against him.”
