There was a certain man in Caesarea called Cornelius, a centurion of the band called the Italian band,

În Cezareea era un om cu numele Corneliu, sutaş din ceata de ostaşi numită „Italiana”.

At Caesarea there was a man named Cornelius, a centurion of what was known as the Italian Cohort,

aki kegyes és istenfélő volt egész házanépével együtt, sok alamizsnát osztogatott a népnek, és szüntelen könyörgött Istenhez.

Jámbor és istenfélő egész házanépével egybe, ki sok alamizsnát osztogat vala a népnek, és szüntelen könyörög vala Istennek.

A devout man, and one that feared God with all his house, which gave much alms to the people, and prayed to God alway.

Omul acesta era cucernic şi temător de Dumnezeu, împreună cu toată casa lui. El făcea multe milostenii norodului şi se ruga totdeauna lui Dumnezeu.

a devout man who feared God with all his household, gave alms generously to the people, and prayed continually to God.

Egy nap, mintegy kilenc óra tájban látomásban világosan látta, hogy az Isten angyala bement hozzá, és megszólította: Kornéliusz!

[Ez] látá látásban világosan, a napnak mintegy kilenczedik órája körül, hogy az Istennek angyala beméne őhozzá, és monda néki: Kornélius!

He saw in a vision evidently about the ninth hour of the day an angel of God coming in to him, and saying unto him, Cornelius.

Pe la ceasul al nouălea din zi, a văzut lămurit într-o vedenie pe un înger al lui Dumnezeu că a intrat la el şi i-a zis: „Cornelie!”

About the ninth hour of the day he saw clearly in a vision an angel of God come in and say to him, “Cornelius.”

Ő pedig ránézett, és rémülten azt kérdezte: Mi az, Uram? Ő pedig azt mondta neki: A te könyörgéseid és alamizsnáid feljutottak Istenhez emlékeztetőül.

Ő pedig szemeit reá függesztve és megrémülve monda: Mi az, Uram? Az pedig monda néki: A te könyörgéseid és alamizsnáid felmentek Isten elébe emlékezetnek okáért.

And when he looked on him, he was afraid, and said, What is it, Lord? And he said unto him, Thy prayers and thine alms are come up for a memorial before God.

Corneliu s-a uitat ţintă la el, s-a înfricoşat şi a răspuns: „Ce este, Doamne?” Şi îngerul i-a zis: „Rugăciunile şi milosteniile tale s-au suit înaintea lui Dumnezeu, şi El Şi-a adus aminte de ele.

And he stared at him in terror and said, “What is it, Lord?” And he said to him, “Your prayers and your alms have ascended as a memorial before God.

And now send men to Joppa, and call for one Simon, whose surname is Peter:

He lodgeth with one Simon a tanner, whose house is by the sea side: he shall tell thee what thou oughtest to do.

He is lodging with one Simon, a tanner, whose house is by the sea.”

Ahogy elment az angyal, aki vele beszélt, Kornéliusz szólított kettőt a szolgái közül és egy istenfélő katonát azok közül, akik rendelkezésére álltak,

A mint pedig elment az angyal, a ki Kornéliussal beszélt, szólíta kettőt az ő szolgái közül, és egy kegyes vitézt azok közül, kik rendelkezésére állnak vala.

And when the angel which spake unto Cornelius was departed, he called two of his household servants, and a devout soldier of them that waited on him continually;

Cum a plecat îngerul care vorbise cu el, Corneliu a chemat două din slugile sale şi un ostaş cucernic din aceia care-i slujeau în tot timpul;

When the angel who spoke to him had departed, he called two of his servants and a devout soldier from among those who attended him,

és miután elmondott nekik mindent, elküldte őket Joppéba.

És elmondván nékik mindent, elküldé őket Joppéba.

And when he had declared all these things unto them, he sent them to Joppa.

and having related everything to them, he sent them to Joppa.

On the morrow, as they went on their journey, and drew nigh unto the city, Peter went up upon the housetop to pray about the sixth hour:

The next day, as they were on their journey and approaching the city, Peter went up on the housetop about the sixth hour to pray.

De megéhezett, és enni akart, amíg azonban ételt készítettek neki, révületbe esett,

And he became very hungry, and would have eaten: but while they made ready, he fell into a trance,

And he became hungry and wanted something to eat, but while they were preparing it, he fell into a trance

And saw heaven opened, and a certain vessel descending upon him, as it had been a great sheet knit at the four corners, and let down to the earth:

A văzut cerul deschis şi un vas ca o faţă de masă mare, legată cu cele patru colţuri, coborându-se şi slobozindu-se în jos pe pământ.

and saw the heavens opened and something like a great sheet descending, being let down by its four corners upon the earth.

Ebben mindenféle földi négylábú állat, csúszómászó és égi madár volt.

Melyben valának mindenféle földi négylábú állatok, vadak, csúszómászó állatok és égi madarak.

Wherein were all manner of fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air.

In it were all kinds of animals and reptiles and birds of the air.

És hang hallatszott: Kelj fel, Péter, öljed és egyél!

And there came a voice to him, Rise, Peter; kill, and eat.

Şi un glas i-a zis: „Petre, scoală-te, taie şi mănâncă.”

And there came a voice to him: “Rise, Peter; kill and eat.”

Péter pedig azt mondta: Semmiképpen sem, Uram, mert sohasem ettem semmi közönségest vagy tisztátalant.

But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten any thing that is common or unclean.

„Nicidecum, Doamne”, a răspuns Petru. „Căci niciodată n-am mâncat ceva spurcat sau necurat.”

But Peter said, “By no means, Lord; for I have never eaten anything that is common or unclean.”

De másodszor is szólt a hang: Amit Isten megtisztított, azt te ne mondd tisztátalannak!

És ismét szózat [lőn] ő hozzá másodszor is: A miket az Isten megtisztított, te ne mondd tisztátalanoknak.

And the voice spake unto him again the second time, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common.

Şi glasul i-a zis iarăşi a doua oară: „Ce a curăţat Dumnezeu, să nu numeşti spurcat.”

And the voice came to him again a second time, “What God has made clean, do not call common.”

Ez pedig háromszor is megtörtént, majd nyomban felvitetett az edény az égbe.

Ez pedig három ízben történt; és ismét felviteték az edény az égbe.

This was done thrice: and the vessel was received up again into heaven.

Lucrul acesta s-a făcut de trei ori, şi îndată după aceea vasul a fost ridicat iarăşi la cer.

This happened three times, and the thing was taken up at once to heaven.

Ahogy Péter magában tűnődött, hogy mi lehet az a látomás, amelyet látott, azok a férfiak, akiket Kornéliusz küldött, Simon háza felől kérdezősködve a kapuhoz érkeztek,

A mint pedig Péter magában tünődék, mi lehet az a látás, a melyet látott, ímé az férfiak, kiket Kornélius küldött, megtudakozván a Simon házát, odaérkezének a kapuhoz,

Now while Peter doubted in himself what this vision which he had seen should mean, behold, the men which were sent from Cornelius had made enquiry for Simon's house, and stood before the gate,

Pe când Petru nu ştia ce să creadă despre înţelesul vedeniei pe care o avusese, iată că, oamenii trimişi de Corneliu, întrebând de casa lui Simon, au stat la poartă

Now while Peter was inwardly perplexed as to what the vision that he had seen might mean, behold, the men who were sent by Cornelius, having made inquiry for Simon’s house, stood at the gate

And called, and asked whether Simon, which was surnamed Peter, were lodged there.

şi au întrebat cu glas tare dacă Simon, zis şi Petru, găzduieşte acolo.

and called out to ask whether Simon who was called Peter was lodging there.

És amíg Péter a látomás felől gondolkodott, azt mondta neki a Lélek: Íme, három férfi keres téged.

És a míg Péter a látás felől gondolkodék, monda néki a Lélek: Ímé három férfiú keres téged:

While Peter thought on the vision, the Spirit said unto him, Behold, three men seek thee.

Şi, pe când se gândea Petru la vedenia aceea, Duhul i-a zis: „Iată că te caută trei oameni;

And while Peter was pondering the vision, the Spirit said to him, “Behold, three men are looking for you.

Kelj fel azért, menj le, és minden tétovázás nélkül menj el velük, mert én küldtem őket.

Nosza kelj fel, eredj alá, és minden kételkedés nélkül menj el ő velök: mert én küldöttem őket.

Arise therefore, and get thee down, and go with them, doubting nothing: for I have sent them.

scoală-te, coboară-te şi du-te cu ei fără şovăire, căci Eu i-am trimis.”

Rise and go down and accompany them without hesitation, for I have sent them.”

Péter akkor lement azokhoz a férfiakhoz, és azt mondta: Íme, én vagyok az, akit kerestek. Mi járatban vagytok?

Alámenvén azért Péter a férfiakhoz, kiket Kornélius küldött ő hozzá, monda: Ímé, én vagyok, a kit kerestek: mi dolog az, a miért jöttetek?

Then Peter went down to the men which were sent unto him from Cornelius; and said, Behold, I am he whom ye seek: what is the cause wherefore ye are come?

Petru deci s-a coborât şi a zis oamenilor acelora: „Eu sunt acela pe care-l căutaţi; ce pricină vă aduce?”

And Peter went down to the men and said, “I am the one you are looking for. What is the reason for your coming?”

Ők pedig azt mondták: Kornéliusz százados, igaz és istenfélő férfi, aki mellett a zsidók egész népe jó bizonyságot tesz, egy szent angyaltól azt az utasítást kapta, hogy hívasson téged a házához, és hallgassa meg, amit mondasz.

Ők pedig mondának: Kornélius százados, igaz és istenfélő férfiú, ki mellett a zsidók egész népe jó bizonyságot tesz, szent angyal által megintetett, hogy hívasson téged házához, és halljon tőled valami dolgokról.

And they said, Cornelius the centurion, a just man, and one that feareth God, and of good report among all the nation of the Jews, was warned from God by an holy angel to send for thee into his house, and to hear words of thee.

Ei au răspuns: „Sutaşul Corneliu, om drept şi temător de Dumnezeu şi vorbit de bine de tot neamul iudeilor, a fost înştiinţat de Dumnezeu, printr-un înger sfânt, să te cheme în casa lui şi să audă cuvintele pe care i le vei spune.”

And they said, “Cornelius, a centurion, an upright and God-fearing man, who is well spoken of by the whole Jewish nation, was directed by a holy angel to send for you to come to his house and to hear what you have to say.”

Erre behívta és vendégül látta őket.Másnap pedig felkelt, elment velük, és a joppéi testvérek közül is néhányan vele mentek.

Behíván azért őket, szállására fogadá. Másnap pedig elméne Péter ő velök, és a Joppébeli atyafiak közül is némelyek együtt menének ő vele.

Then called he them in, and lodged them. And on the morrow Peter went away with them, and certain brethren from Joppa accompanied him.

Petru deci i-a chemat înăuntru şi i-a găzduit.

So he invited them in to be his guests. The next day he rose and went away with them, and some of the brothers from Joppa accompanied him.

A következő nap Cézáreába jutottak. Kornéliusz már várta őket, és összehívta a rokonait és jó barátait.

És másnap eljutának Czézáreába. Kornélius pedig várja vala őket, egybegyűjtvén rokonait és jó barátait.

And the morrow after they entered into Caesarea. And Cornelius waited for them, and he had called together his kinsmen and near friends.

A doua zi, s-a sculat şi a plecat cu ei. L-au însoţit şi câţiva fraţi din Iope. În cealaltă zi au ajuns la Cezareea. Corneliu îi aştepta cu rudele şi prietenii de aproape, pe care-i chemase.

And on the following day they entered Caesarea. Cornelius was expecting them and had called together his relatives and close friends.

És ahogy Péter bement, Kornéliusz elébe ment, és lábához borulva imádta őt.

És lőn, hogy a mint Péter beméne, Kornélius elébe menvén, lábaihoz borulva imádá [őt.]

And as Peter was coming in, Cornelius met him, and fell down at his feet, and worshipped him.

Când era să intre Petru, Corneliu, care-i ieşise înainte, s-a aruncat la picioarele lui şi i s-a închinat.

When Peter entered, Cornelius met him and fell down at his feet and worshiped him.

Péter azonban felemelte, és azt mondta: Kelj fel, én magam is ember vagyok.

Péter azonban felemelé őt, mondván: Kelj fel; én magam is ember vagyok.

But Peter took him up, saying, Stand up; I myself also am a man.

Dar Petru l-a ridicat şi a zis: „Scoală-te, şi eu sunt om!”

But Peter lifted him up, saying, “Stand up; I too am a man.”

Vele beszélgetve belépett, és ott találta a sok összegyűlt embert.

És beszélgetve vele, belépett, és talála sokakat egybegyűlve;

And as he talked with him, he went in, and found many that were come together.

Şi, vorbind cu el, a intrat în casă şi a găsit adunaţi pe mulţi.

And as he talked with him, he went in and found many persons gathered.

Így szólt hozzájuk: Tudjátok, hogy mennyire tilos zsidó embernek más nemzetbelivel barátkozni vagy ahhoz bemenni, de nekem Isten megmutatta, hogy senkit se mondjak közönséges vagy tisztátalan embernek.

És monda nékik: Ti tudjátok, hogy tilalmas zsidó embernek más nemzetbelivel barátkozni, vagy hozzámenni; de nékem az Isten megmutatá, hogy senkit se mondjak közönséges, vagy tisztátalan embernek:

And he said unto them, Ye know how that it is an unlawful thing for a man that is a Jew to keep company, or come unto one of another nation; but God hath shewed me that I should not call any man common or unclean.

„Ştiţi”, le-a zis el, „că nu este îngăduit de Lege unui iudeu să se însoţească împreună cu unul de alt neam sau să vină la el; dar Dumnezeu mi-a arătat să nu numesc pe niciun om spurcat sau necurat.

And he said to them, “You yourselves know how unlawful it is for a Jew to associate with or to visit anyone of another nation, but God has shown me that I should not call any person common or unclean.

Azért ellentmondás nélkül el is jöttem, miután értem küldtetek. Most tehát hadd kérdezzem, mi okból küldtetek értem?

Annak okáért ellenmondás nélkül el is jöttem, miután meghívattam. Azt kérdem azért, mi okból hivattatok engem?

Therefore came I unto you without gainsaying, as soon as I was sent for: I ask therefore for what intent ye have sent for me?

De aceea am venit fără cârtire când m-aţi chemat; vă întreb, dar, cu ce gând aţi trimis după mine?”

So when I was sent for, I came without objection. I ask then why you sent for me.”

Kornéliusz pedig így válaszolt: Négy nappal ezelőtt, ebben az időben, úgy kilenc óra tájban imádkoztam a házamban, és íme, egy férfi állt meg előttem fényes ruhában,

És Kornélius monda: Negyednaptól fogva mind ez óráig bőjtöltem, és kilencz órakor imádkozám az én házamban; és ímé egy férfiú álla meg előttem fényes ruhában,

And Cornelius said, Four days ago I was fasting until this hour; and at the ninth hour I prayed in my house, and, behold, a man stood before me in bright clothing,

Corneliu a răspuns: „Acum patru zile, chiar în clipa aceasta, mă rugam în casa mea la ceasul al nouălea; şi iată că a stat înaintea mea un om cu o haină strălucitoare

And Cornelius said, “Four days ago, about this hour, I was praying in my house at the ninth hour, and behold, a man stood before me in bright clothing

és azt mondta: Kornéliusz, imádságod meghallgatásra talált, és alamizsnáidról megemlékeztek az Isten színe előtt.

És monda: Kornélius, meghallgattatott a te imádságod, és a te alamizsnáid emlékezetbe jutottak Isten előtt.

And said, Cornelius, thy prayer is heard, and thine alms are had in remembrance in the sight of God.

şi a zis: „Cornelie, rugăciunea ta a fost ascultată, şi Dumnezeu Şi-a adus aminte de milosteniile tale.

and said, ‘Cornelius, your prayer has been heard and your alms have been remembered before God.

Küldj el azért Joppéba, és hívasd magadhoz Simont, akit Péternek hívnak. Ő Simon tímár házában szállt meg a tenger mellett.

Küldj el azért Joppéba, és hívasd magadhoz Simont, ki Péternek neveztetik; ez Simon tímár házában van szálláson a tenger mellett: ő, minekutána eljő, szól néked.

Send therefore to Joppa, and call hither Simon, whose surname is Peter; he is lodged in the house of one Simon a tanner by the sea side: who, when he cometh, shall speak unto thee.

Trimite, dar, la Iope şi cheamă pe Simon, zis şi Petru; el găzduieşte în casa lui Simon tăbăcarul, lângă mare; când va veni el, îţi va vorbi.”

Send therefore to Joppa and ask for Simon who is called Peter. He is lodging in the house of Simon, a tanner, by the sea.’

Azonnal érted küldtem tehát, és jól tetted, hogy eljöttél. Most azért mi mindnyájan az Isten előtt állunk, hogy meghallgassuk mindazt, amit rád bízott az Úr.

Azonnal azért küldöttem hozzád; és te jól tetted, hogy eljöttél. Most azért mi mindnyájan az Isten előtt állunk, hogy meghallgassuk mindazokat, a miket Isten néked parancsolt.

Immediately therefore I sent to thee; and thou hast well done that thou art come. Now therefore are we all here present before God, to hear all things that are commanded thee of God.

Am trimis îndată la tine, şi bine ai făcut că ai venit. Acum, dar, toţi suntem aici înaintea lui Dumnezeu, ca să ascultăm tot ce ţi-a poruncit Domnul să ne spui.”

So I sent for you at once, and you have been kind enough to come. Now therefore we are all here in the presence of God to hear all that you have been commanded by the Lord.”

Péter pedig megnyitotta száját, és azt mondta: Most értettem meg igazán, hogy Isten nem személyválogató,

Péter pedig megnyitván száját, monda: Bizonynyal látom, hogy nem személyválogató az Isten;

Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:

Atunci Petru a început să vorbească şi a zis: „În adevăr, văd că Dumnezeu nu este părtinitor,

So Peter opened his mouth and said: “Truly I understand that God shows no partiality,

hanem minden népben kedves előtte, aki őt féli, és igazságot cselekszik.

Hanem minden nemzetben kedves ő előtte, a ki őt féli és igazságot cselekszik.

But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.

ci că, în orice neam, cine se teme de El şi lucrează neprihănire este primit de El.

but in every nation anyone who fears him and does what is right is acceptable to him.

Ez az az ige, amelyet Izráel fiainak küldött, békességet hirdetve Jézus Krisztus által, aki mindenek Ura.

Azt az ígét, melyet elkülde az Izráel fiainak, hirdetvén békességet a Jézus Krisztus által (ő mindeneknek Ura).

The word which God sent unto the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ: (he is Lord of all:)

El a trimis Cuvântul Său fiilor lui Israel şi le-a vestit Evanghelia păcii, prin Isus Hristos, care este Domnul tuturor.

As for the word that he sent to Israel, preaching good news of peace through Jesus Christ (he is Lord of all),

That word, I say, ye know, which was published throughout all Judaea, and began from Galilee, after the baptism which John preached;

Ştiţi vorba făcută prin toată Iudeea, începând din Galileea, în urma botezului propovăduit de Ioan;

you yourselves know what happened throughout all Judea, beginning from Galilee after the baptism that John proclaimed:

hogyan kente fel Isten a názáreti Jézust Szentlélekkel és hatalommal, aki amerre csak járt, jót tett, és meggyógyított mindenkit, aki az ördög hatalmában volt, mert az Isten volt vele.

A názáreti Jézust, mint kené fel őt az Isten Szent Lélekkel és hatalommal, ki széjjeljárt jót tévén és meggyógyítván mindeneket, kik az ördög hatalma alatt voltak; mert az Isten vala ő vele.

How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.

cum Dumnezeu a uns cu Duhul Sfânt şi cu putere pe Isus din Nazaret, care umbla din loc în loc, făcea bine şi vindeca pe toţi cei ce erau apăsaţi de diavolul; căci Dumnezeu era cu El.

how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power. He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him.

Mi pedig tanúi vagyunk mindannak, amit a zsidók tartományában és Jeruzsálemben tett. Őt ugyan fára feszítve megölték,

És mi vagyunk bizonyságai mindazoknak, a miket mind a zsidóknak tartományában, mind Jeruzsálemben cselekedett; a kit megölének, fára feszítvén.

And we are witnesses of all things which he did both in the land of the Jews, and in Jerusalem; whom they slew and hanged on a tree:

Noi suntem martori a tot ce a făcut El în ţara iudeilor şi în Ierusalim. Ei L-au omorât, atârnându-L pe lemn.

And we are witnesses of all that he did both in the country of the Jews and in Jerusalem. They put him to death by hanging him on a tree,

de Isten harmadnapon feltámasztotta, és megadta neki, hogy láthatóan megjelenjék;

Ezt az Isten feltámasztá harmadnapon, és megadá, hogy ő megjelenjék nyilván,

Him God raised up the third day, and shewed him openly;

but God raised him on the third day and made him to appear,

de nem az egész népnek, hanem az Istentől előre kiválasztott tanúknak: nekünk, akik együtt ettünk és együtt ittunk vele, miután feltámadt a halálból.

És megparancsolta nekünk, hogy hirdessük a népnek, és tegyünk bizonyságot, hogy ő az Istentől rendelt bírája élőknek és holtaknak.

A próféták mind róla tesznek bizonyságot, hogy mindaz, aki hisz benne, bűnbocsánatot nyer az ő neve által.

Erről a próféták mind bizonyságot tesznek, hogy bűneinek bocsánatját veszi az ő neve által mindenki, a ki hiszen ő benne.

To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.

Toţi prorocii mărturisesc despre El că oricine crede în El capătă, prin Numele Lui, iertarea păcatelor.”

To him all the prophets bear witness that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name.”

Míg Péter ezeket a szavakat mondta, a Szentlélek leszállt mindazokra, akik hallgatták az igét.

Mikor még szólá Péter ez ígéket, leszálla a Szent Lélek mindazokra, a kik hallgatják vala e beszédet.

While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word.

Pe când rostea Petru cuvintele acestea, S-a coborât Duhul Sfânt peste toţi cei ce ascultau Cuvântul.

While Peter was still saying these things, the Holy Spirit fell on all who heard the word.

A zsidóságból való hívek, mindazok, akik Péterrel együtt jöttek, álmélkodtak, hogy a pogányokra is kitöltetett a Szentlélek ajándéka.

És elálmélkodának a zsidóságból való hívek, mindazok, a kik Péterrel együtt mentek, hogy a pogányokra is kitöltetett a Szent Lélek ajándéka.

And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Toţi credincioşii tăiaţi împrejur care veniseră cu Petru au rămas uimiţi când au văzut că darul Duhului Sfânt s-a vărsat şi peste Neamuri.

And the believers from among the circumcised who had come with Peter were amazed, because the gift of the Holy Spirit was poured out even on the Gentiles.

For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter,

Vajon megtagadhatja-e valaki a vizet ezektől, hogy megkeresztelkedjenek, akik hozzánk hasonlóan vették a Szentlelket?

Vajjon eltilthatja-é valaki a vizet, hogy ezek meg ne keresztelkedjenek, kik vették a Szent Lelket miképen mi is?

Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?

„Se poate opri apa ca să nu fie botezaţi aceştia care au primit Duhul Sfânt ca şi noi?”

“Can anyone withhold water for baptizing these people, who have received the Holy Spirit just as we have?”

És megparancsolta, hogy keresztelkedjenek meg Jézus Krisztus nevében. Akkor kérték őt, hogy maradjon náluk néhány napig.

És parancsolá, hogy keresztelkedjenek meg az Úrnak nevében. Akkor kérék őt, hogy maradjon náluk néhány napig.

And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.

Şi a poruncit să fie botezaţi în Numele Domnului Isus Hristos. Atunci l-au rugat să mai rămână câteva zile la ei.
