Amíg Apollós Korinthusban volt, Pál bejárva a felsőbb tartományokat Efezusba érkezett. Amikor ott néhány tanítványra talált,

Lőn pedig azonközben, míg Apollós Korinthusban volt, hogy Pál, eljárván a felsőbb tartományokat, Efézusba érkezék: és mikor némely tanítványokra talált,

And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper coasts came to Ephesus: and finding certain disciples,

Pe când era Apolo în Corint, Pavel, după ce a trecut prin ţinuturile de sus ale Asiei, a ajuns la Efes. Aici a întâlnit pe câţiva ucenici

And it happened that while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul passed through the inland country and came to Ephesus. There he found some disciples.

azt kérdezte tőlük: Kaptatok-e Szentlelket, amikor hívőkké lettetek? Ők pedig azt mondták neki: Hiszen még azt sem hallottuk, hogy van Szentlélek!

Monda nékik: Vajjon vettetek-é Szent Lelket, minekutána hivőkké lettetek? Azok pedig mondának néki: Sőt inkább azt sem hallottuk, hogy ha vagyon-é Szent Lélek.

He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.

şi le-a zis: „Aţi primit voi Duhul Sfânt când aţi crezut?” Ei i-au răspuns: „Nici n-am auzit măcar că a fost dat un Duh Sfânt.”

And he said to them, “Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?” And they said, “No, we have not even heard that there is a Holy Spirit.”

Mire azt kérdezte: Akkor hát mire keresztelkedtetek meg? Ők pedig azt mondták: a János keresztségére.

És monda nékik: Mire keresztelkedtetek meg tehát? Azok pedig mondának: A János keresztségére.

And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John's baptism.

„Dar cu ce botez aţi fost botezaţi?”, le-a zis el. Şi ei au răspuns: „Cu botezul lui Ioan.”

And he said, “Into what then were you baptized?” They said, “Into John’s baptism.”

Pál pedig így folytatta: János a megtérés keresztségével keresztelt, azt mondva a népnek, hogy aki utána jön, abban higgyenek, tudniillik a Krisztus Jézusban.

Monda pedig Pál: János megtérésnek keresztségével keresztelt, azt mondván a népnek, hogy a ki ő utána jövendő, abban higyjenek, tudniillik a Krisztus Jézusban.

Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.

Atunci Pavel a zis: „Ioan a botezat cu botezul pocăinţei şi spunea norodului să creadă în Cel ce venea după el, adică în Isus.”

And Paul said, “John baptized with the baptism of repentance, telling the people to believe in the one who was to come after him, that is, Jesus.”

Amikor pedig ezt hallották, megkeresztelkedtek az Úr Jézus nevére.

Mikor pedig [ezt] hallák, megkeresztelkedének az Úr Jézusnak nevére.

When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.

Când au auzit ei aceste vorbe, au fost botezaţi în Numele Domnului Isus.

On hearing this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.

Amikor Pál rájuk tette kezét, a Szentlélek rájuk szállt, és nyelveken szóltak, és prófétáltak.

És mikor Pál reájok vetette kezét, szálla a Szent Lélek ő reájok; és szólnak vala nyelveken, és prófétálnak vala.

And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.

Când şi-a pus Pavel mâinile peste ei, Duhul Sfânt S-a coborât peste ei, şi vorbeau în alte limbi şi proroceau.

And when Paul had laid his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and they began speaking in tongues and prophesying.

Összesen mintegy tizenketten voltak ezek a férfiak.

Valának pedig a férfiak összesen mintegy tizenketten.

And all the men were about twelve.

Erau cam doisprezece bărbaţi de toţi.

There were about twelve men in all.

A zsinagógába is elment, és három hónapon át bátran szólt, vitatkozott, és igyekezett meggyőzni őket az Isten országára tartozó dolgokról.

Bemenvén pedig a zsinagógába, bátorsággal szól vala, három hónapon át vetekedvén és igyekezvén meggyőzni az Isten országára tartozó dolgokról.

And he went into the synagogue, and spake boldly for the space of three months, disputing and persuading the things concerning the kingdom of God.

În urmă, Pavel a intrat în sinagogă, unde vorbea cu îndrăzneală. Timp de trei luni a vorbit cu ei despre lucrurile privitoare la Împărăţia lui Dumnezeu şi căuta să înduplece pe cei ce-l ascultau.

And he entered the synagogue and for three months spoke boldly, reasoning and persuading them about the kingdom of God.

De amikor egyesek megkeményítették magukat, és nem hittek, sőt gyalázták az Úr útját a sokaság előtt, otthagyta őket, és a tanítványokat is elkülönítette tőlük, és mindennap egy bizonyos Tirannosz iskolájában tanított.

Mikor pedig némelyek megkeményíték magokat és nem hivének, gonoszul szólván az [Úrnak] útáról a sokaság előtt, azoktól eltávozván, elszakasztá a tanítványokat, mindennap egy bizonyos Tirannus oskolájában prédikálván.

But when divers were hardened, and believed not, but spake evil of that way before the multitude, he departed from them, and separated the disciples, disputing daily in the school of one Tyrannus.

Dar, fiindcă unii rămâneau împietriţi şi necredincioşi şi vorbeau de rău Calea Domnului înaintea norodului, Pavel a plecat de la ei, a despărţit pe ucenici de ei şi a învăţat în fiecare zi pe norod în şcoala unuia numit Tiran.

But when some became stubborn and continued in unbelief, speaking evil of the Way before the congregation, he withdrew from them and took the disciples with him, reasoning daily in the hall of Tyrannus.

Ez két esztendeig tartott, úgyhogy mindazok, akik Ázsiában laktak, mind zsidók, mind görögök, meghallották az Úr igéjét.

Ez pedig lőn két esztendeig; úgyannyira, hogy mindazok, kik lakoznak vala Ázsiában, mind zsidók, mind görögök, hallgaták az Úr Jézusnak ígéjét.

And this continued by the space of two years; so that all they which dwelt in Asia heard the word of the Lord Jesus, both Jews and Greeks.

Lucrul acesta a ţinut doi ani, aşa că toţi cei ce locuiau în Asia, iudei şi greci, au auzit Cuvântul Domnului.

This continued for two years, so that all the residents of Asia heard the word of the Lord, both Jews and Greeks.

Isten rendkívüli csodákat tett Pál keze által.

És nem közönséges csodákat cselekszik vala az Isten Pál keze által:

And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul:

Şi Dumnezeu făcea minuni nemaipomenite prin mâinile lui Pavel;

And God was doing extraordinary miracles by the hands of Paul,

Annyira, hogy a testéről a kendőket vagy kötényeket is elvitték a betegekhez, és a betegségek eltávoztak tőlük, és a gonosz lelkek kimentek belőlük.

Annyira, hogy a betegekhez is elvivék az ő testéről a keszkenőket, vagy kötényeket, és eltávozának azoktól a betegségek, és a gonosz lelkek kimenének belőlök.

So that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them.

so that even handkerchiefs or aprons that had touched his skin were carried away to the sick, and their diseases left them and the evil spirits came out of them.

Néhányan a kóborló zsidó ördögűzők közül is megpróbálták az Úr Jézus nevét hívni azokra, akikben gonosz lelkek voltak, és azt mondták: Esküvel kényszerítünk titeket a Jézusra, akit Pál hirdet.

Elkezdték pedig némelyek a lézengő zsidó ördögűzők közül az Úr Jézus nevét hívni azokra, a kikben gonosz lelkek valának, mondván: Kényszerítünk titeket a Jézusra, kit Pál prédikál.

Then certain of the vagabond Jews, exorcists, took upon them to call over them which had evil spirits the name of the LORD Jesus, saying, We adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preacheth.

Then some of the itinerant Jewish exorcists undertook to invoke the name of the Lord Jesus over those who had evil spirits, saying, “I adjure you by the Jesus whom Paul proclaims.”

Egy Szkéva nevű zsidó főpap hét fia is ezt tette.

Valának pedig némelyek Skévának, egy zsidó főpapnak fiai heten, a kik ezt mívelik vala.

And there were seven sons of one Sceva, a Jew, and chief of the priests, which did so.

Cei ce făceau lucrul acesta erau şapte feciori ai lui Sceva, un preot iudeu din cei mai de seamă.

Seven sons of a Jewish high priest named Sceva were doing this.

A gonosz lélek pedig így válaszolt: Jézust ismerem, Pálról is tudok, de ti kik vagytok?

Felelvén pedig a gonosz lélek, monda: A Jézust ismerem, Pálról is tudok; de ti kicsodák vagytok?

And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye?

Duhul cel rău le-a răspuns: „Pe Isus Îl cunosc, şi pe Pavel îl ştiu; dar voi cine sunteţi?”

But the evil spirit answered them, “Jesus I know, and Paul I recognize, but who are you?”

És az az ember, akiben a gonosz lélek volt, nekik esett, leteperte őket, és annyira erőt vett rajtuk, hogy meztelenül és megsebesülve szaladtak ki abból a házból.

És reájok ugorván az az ember, a kiben a gonosz lélek vala, és legyőzvén őket, hatalmat vőn rajtuk annyira, hogy mezítelenen és megsebesülve szaladának ki abból a házból.

And the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, and overcame them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded.

Şi omul în care era duhul cel rău a sărit asupra lor, i-a biruit pe amândoi şi i-a schingiuit în aşa fel, că au fugit goi şi răniţi din casa aceea.

And the man in whom was the evil spirit leaped on them, mastered all of them and overpowered them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded.

Ez pedig tudomására jutott minden Efezusban lakó zsidónak és görögnek, és félelem szállt mindnyájukra, és magasztalták az Úr Jézus nevét.

Ez pedig tudtokra lőn mindeneknek, mind zsidóknak, mind görögöknek, kik Efézusban laknak vala, és félelem szálla mindnyájokra, és magasztaltatik vala az Úr Jézusnak neve.

And this was known to all the Jews and Greeks also dwelling at Ephesus; and fear fell on them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was magnified.

Lucrul acesta a fost cunoscut de toţi iudeii, de toţi grecii care locuiau în Efes, şi i-a apucat frica pe toţi: şi Numele Domnului Isus era proslăvit.

And this became known to all the residents of Ephesus, both Jews and Greeks. And fear fell upon them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was extolled.

És sokan a hívők közül eljöttek, megvallották és elmondták tetteiket.

És sokan a hívők közül eljőnek vala, megvallván és megjelentvén cselekedeteiket.

And many that believed came, and confessed, and shewed their deeds.

Mulţi din cei ce crezuseră, veneau să mărturisească şi să spună ce făcuseră.

Also many of those who were now believers came, confessing and divulging their practices.

Sokan pedig azok közül, akik varázslással foglalkoztak, könyveiket összehordták, és mindenki szeme láttára elégették. És összeszámlálták azoknak árát, és ötvenezer ezüstpénzre értékelték.

Sokan pedig azok közül, kik ördögi mesterségeket gyakoroltak, könyveiket összehordva, mindeneknek láttára megégetik vala. És összeszámlálák azoknak árát, és találák ötvenezer ezüstpénznek.

Many of them also which used curious arts brought their books together, and burned them before all men: and they counted the price of them, and found it fifty thousand pieces of silver.

Şi unii din cei ce făcuseră vrăjitorii şi-au adus cărţile şi le-au ars înaintea tuturor: preţul lor s-a socotit la cincizeci de mii de arginţi.

And a number of those who had practiced magic arts brought their books together and burned them in the sight of all. And they counted the value of them and found it came to fifty thousand pieces of silver.

Így az Úr ereje által az ige hatalmasan terjedt és erősödött.

Ekképen az Úrnak ígéje erősen nevekedik és hatalmat vesz vala.

So mightily grew the word of God and prevailed.

Cu atâta putere se răspândea şi se întărea Cuvântul Domnului.

So the word of the Lord continued to increase and prevail mightily.

Miután mindezek megtörténtek, Pál elhatározta a Lélek által, hogy Macedóniát és Akháját bejárva Jeruzsálembe megy, és azt mondta: Ottlétem után Rómát is meg kell látnom.

Midőn pedig ezek elteltek, elvégezé Pál magában, hogy Maczedóniát és Akháját eljárván, Jeruzsálembe megy, mondván: Ott létem után Rómát is meg kell nékem látnom.

After these things were ended, Paul purposed in the spirit, when he had passed through Macedonia and Achaia, to go to Jerusalem, saying, After I have been there, I must also see Rome.

După ce s-au petrecut aceste lucruri, Pavel şi-a pus de gând să se ducă la Ierusalim, trecând prin Macedonia şi Ahaia. „După ce voi merge acolo”, îşi zicea el, „trebuie să văd şi Roma.”

Now after these events Paul resolved in the Spirit to pass through Macedonia and Achaia and go to Jerusalem, saying, “After I have been there, I must also see Rome.”

So he sent into Macedonia two of them that ministered unto him, Timotheus and Erastus; but he himself stayed in Asia for a season.

A trimis în Macedonia pe doi din ajutoarele lui, pe Timotei şi Erast, iar el a mai rămas câtăva vreme în Asia.

And having sent into Macedonia two of his helpers, Timothy and Erastus, he himself stayed in Asia for a while.

Abban az időben pedig nem kis háborúság támadt az Úr útja miatt.

Támada azonban azon időtájban nem csekély háborúság az [Úrnak] útárt.

And the same time there arose no small stir about that way.

Pe vremea aceea, s-a făcut o mare tulburare cu privire la Calea Domnului.

About that time there arose no little disturbance concerning the Way.

Mert egy Demeter nevű ötvös, aki ezüstből Artemisztemplomokat készített, nem csekély nyereséget biztosított a mesterembereknek.

Mert egy Demeter nevű ötvös, ezüstből Diána templomokat csinálván, a mesterembereknek nem csekély nyereséget ád vala;

For a certain man named Demetrius, a silversmith, which made silver shrines for Diana, brought no small gain unto the craftsmen;

Un argintar, numit Dimitrie, făcea temple de argint de ale Dianei şi aducea lucrătorilor săi nu puţin câştig cu ele.

For a man named Demetrius, a silversmith, who made silver shrines of Artemis, brought no little business to the craftsmen.

Ezeket összegyűjtötte a hasonló foglalkozásúakkal együtt, és azt mondta nekik: Férfiak, tudjátok, hogy ebből a mesterségből van a mi jólétünk.

Kiket egybegyűjtvén az ilyenfélékkel foglalkozó mívesekkel egybe, monda: Férfiak, tudjátok, hogy ebből a mesterségből van a mi jóllétünk.

Whom he called together with the workmen of like occupation, and said, Sirs, ye know that by this craft we have our wealth.

I-a adunat la un loc, împreună cu cei de aceeaşi meserie, şi le-a zis: „Oamenilor, ştiţi că bogăţia noastră atârnă de meseria aceasta;

These he gathered together, with the workmen in similar trades, and said, “Men, you know that from this business we have our wealth.

És látjátok és halljátok, hogy ez a Pál nemcsak Efezusnak, hanem majdnem egész Ázsiának sok népét áltatta és megtévesztette, mivelhogy azt mondja, hogy nem istenek azok, amelyeket kézzel csinálnak.

Látjátok pedig és halljátok, hogy ez a Pál nemcsak Efézusnak, hanem közel az egész Ázsiának sok népét eláltatván, elfordította, mivelhogy azt mondja, hogy nem istenek azok, a melyek kézzel csináltatnak.

Moreover ye see and hear, that not alone at Ephesus, but almost throughout all Asia, this Paul hath persuaded and turned away much people, saying that they be no gods, which are made with hands:

şi vedeţi şi auziţi că Pavel acesta, nu numai în Efes, dar aproape în toată Asia, a înduplecat şi a abătut mult norod şi zice că zeii făcuţi de mâini nu sunt dumnezei.

And you see and hear that not only in Ephesus but in almost all of Asia this Paul has persuaded and turned away a great many people, saying that gods made with hands are not gods.

De nemcsak az a veszély fenyeget bennünket, hogy ez a mesterség csődbe jut, hanem hogy a nagy istenasszonynak, Artemisznek a templomát is semmibe veszik majd, és odalesz az ő nagysága, pedig őt egész Ázsia és az egész földkerekség tiszteli.

Nemcsak az a veszély fenyeget pedig bennünket, hogy ez a mesterség tönkre jut, hanem hogy a nagy istenasszonynak, Diánának temploma is semmibe vétetik, és el is vész az ő nagysága, kit az egész Ázsia és a világ tisztel.

So that not only this our craft is in danger to be set at nought; but also that the temple of the great goddess Diana should be despised, and her magnificence should be destroyed, whom all Asia and the world worshippeth.

Primejdia care vine din acest fapt nu este numai că meseria noastră cade în dispreţ; dar şi că templul marii zeiţe Diana este socotit ca o nimica şi chiar măreţia aceleia care este cinstită în toată Asia şi în toată lumea este nimicită.”

And there is danger not only that this trade of ours may come into disrepute but also that the temple of the great goddess Artemis may be counted as nothing, and that she may even be deposed from her magnificence, she whom all Asia and the world worship.”

Amikor ezeket hallották, megteltek haraggal, és kiáltoztak: Nagy az efezusi Artemisz!

Mikor pedig [ezeket] hallották és haraggal megtelének, kiáltnak vala, mondván: Nagy az efézusi Diána!

And when they heard these sayings, they were full of wrath, and cried out, saying, Great is Diana of the Ephesians.

Cuvintele acestea i-au umplut de mânie şi au început să strige: „Mare este Diana efesenilor!”

When they heard this they were enraged and were crying out, “Great is Artemis of the Ephesians!”

Az egész városban felfordulás támadt, megragadták a macedón Gájuszt és Arisztarkhoszt, akik Pál útitársai voltak, és egy akarattal a színházba rohantak.

És betelék az egész város háborúsággal; és egyakarattal a színházba rohanának, megfogván Gájust és Aristárkhust, kik Maczedóniából valók és Pálnak útitársai valának.

And the whole city was filled with confusion: and having caught Gaius and Aristarchus, men of Macedonia, Paul's companions in travel, they rushed with one accord into the theatre.

Toată cetatea s-a tulburat. Au năvălit cu toţii într-un gând în teatru şi au luat cu ei pe macedonenii Gaiu şi Aristarh, tovarăşii de călătorie ai lui Pavel.

So the city was filled with the confusion, and they rushed together into the theater, dragging with them Gaius and Aristarchus, Macedonians who were Paul’s companions in travel.

Pált pedig nem engedték a tanítványok, amikor a nép közé akart menni.

And when Paul would have entered in unto the people, the disciples suffered him not.

But when Paul wished to go in among the crowd, the disciples would not let him.

And certain of the chief of Asia, which were his friends, sent unto him, desiring him that he would not adventure himself into the theatre.

And even some of the Asiarchs, who were friends of his, sent to him and were urging him not to venture into the theater.

Ott pedig ki egyet, ki mást kiáltozott, mert a népgyűlés összezavarodott, és a többség azt sem tudta, miért gyűltek össze.

Már most ki egyet, ki mást kiáltoz vala, mert a népgyűlés összezavarodott volt, és a többség nem tudta, miért gyűltek össze.

Some therefore cried one thing, and some another: for the assembly was confused: and the more part knew not wherefore they were come together.

Unii strigau una, alţii alta, căci adunarea era în învălmăşeală, şi cei mai mulţi nici nu ştiau pentru ce se adunaseră.

Now some cried out one thing, some another, for the assembly was in confusion, and most of them did not know why they had come together.

A zsidók Sándort tolták előre, ezért a tömeg figyelme őrá irányult. Sándor pedig kezével intett, és védekezni akart a nép előtt.

A sokaság közül pedig előállaták Alekszándert, minthogy előre tuszkolták őt a zsidók. Alekszánder pedig kezével intvén, védekezni akara a nép előtt.

And they drew Alexander out of the multitude, the Jews putting him forward. And Alexander beckoned with the hand, and would have made his defence unto the people.

Atunci au scos din norod pe Alexandru, pe care iudeii îl împingeau înainte. Alexandru a făcut semn cu mâna şi voia să se apere înaintea norodului.

Some of the crowd prompted Alexander, whom the Jews had put forward. And Alexander, motioning with his hand, wanted to make a defense to the crowd.

De amikor felismerték, hogy zsidó, egyetlen kiáltás tört ki mindenkiből, és mintegy két órán át kiáltozták: Nagy az efezusi Artemisz!

Megismervén azonban, hogy zsidó, egy kiáltás tört ki mindnyájokból, mintegy két óra hosszáig kiáltozván: Nagy az efézusi Diána!

But when they knew that he was a Jew, all with one voice about the space of two hours cried out, Great is Diana of the Ephesians.

Dar când l-au cunoscut că este iudeu, au strigat toţi într-un glas, timp de aproape două ceasuri: „Mare este Diana efesenilor!”

But when they recognized that he was a Jew, for about two hours they all cried out with one voice, “Great is Artemis of the Ephesians!”

Miután pedig a városi jegyző lecsendesítette a sokaságot, azt mondta: Efezusi férfiak, ugyan ki az az ember, aki ne tudná, hogy Efezus városa a nagy istennő, Artemisz szentélyének és az ő égből leszállt képének őrzője?

Miután pedig a városi jegyző lecsendesítette a sokaságot, monda: Efézusbeli férfiak, ugyan kicsoda az az ember, a ki ne tudná, hogy Efézus városa a nagy Diána istenasszonynak és a Jupitertől esett képnek templomőrzője?

And when the townclerk had appeased the people, he said, Ye men of Ephesus, what man is there that knoweth not how that the city of the Ephesians is a worshipper of the great goddess Diana, and of the image which fell down from Jupiter?

And when the town clerk had quieted the crowd, he said, “Men of Ephesus, who is there who does not know that the city of the Ephesians is temple keeper of the great Artemis, and of the sacred stone that fell from the sky?

Mivel tehát ennek senki nem mondhat ellent, szükséges, hogy lecsendesedjetek, és semmiféle meggondolatlanságot ne kövessetek el!

Mivelhogy azért ezeknek senki ellene nem szólhat, szükség, hogy megcsendesedjetek, és semmi vakmerő dolgot ne cselekedjetek.

Mert félő, hogy lázadással vádolnak minket a mai nap miatt, mert nincs semmi érvünk, amellyel megokolhatnánk ezt a csődületet. Ezeket mondva feloszlatta a népgyűlést.

Mert félő, hogy lázadással vádoltatunk a mai napért, mivelhogy semmi ok sincs, a melylyel számot tudnánk adni ezért a csődületért. És ezeket mondván, feloszlatá a gyűlést.

For we are in danger to be called in question for this day's uproar, there being no cause whereby we may give an account of this concourse.
