Agrippa pedig azt mondta Pálnak: Megengedjük, hogy szólj a magad mentségére. Akkor Pál kinyújtotta a kezét, és védőbeszédet tartott:

Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Thou art permitted to speak for thyself. Then Paul stretched forth the hand, and answered for himself:

Agripa a zis lui Pavel: „Ai voie să te aperi!” Pavel a întins mâna şi a început să se apere astfel:

So Agrippa said to Paul, “You have permission to speak for yourself.” Then Paul stretched out his hand and made his defense:

Agrippa király! Boldognak tartom magamat, hogy a mai napon előtted védekezhetem mindazok ellen, amikkel a zsidók vádolnak,

Agrippa király! Boldognak tartom magamat, hogy mindazok felől, a mikkel a zsidóktól vádoltatom, te előtted fogok védekezni e mai napon;

I think myself happy, king Agrippa, because I shall answer for myself this day before thee touching all the things whereof I am accused of the Jews:

„Mă socotesc fericit, împărate Agripa, că am să mă apăr astăzi înaintea ta pentru toate lucrurile de care sunt pârât de iudei;

“I consider myself fortunate that it is before you, King Agrippa, I am going to make my defense today against all the accusations of the Jews,

Especially because I know thee to be expert in all customs and questions which are among the Jews: wherefore I beseech thee to hear me patiently.

căci tu cunoşti foarte bine toate obiceiurile şi neînţelegerile lor. De aceea, te rog să mă asculţi cu îngăduinţă.

especially because you are familiar with all the customs and controversies of the Jews. Therefore I beg you to listen to me patiently.

Életemet, amely kezdettől népem között és Jeruzsálemben folyt le, ifjúságomtól fogva minden zsidó ismeri.

Az én ifjúságomtól fogva való életemet tehát, mely kezdetétől az én népem közt Jeruzsálemben folyt le, tudják a zsidók mindnyájan.

My manner of life from my youth, which was at the first among mine own nation at Jerusalem, know all the Jews;

Viaţa mea, din cele dintâi zile ale tinereţii mele, este cunoscută de toţi iudeii, pentru că am petrecut-o în Ierusalim, în mijlocul neamului meu.

“My manner of life from my youth, spent from the beginning among my own nation and in Jerusalem, is known by all the Jews.

Mivel ők kezdettől fogva ismernek, tanúsíthatják, ha akarják, hogy vallásunk legszigorúbb felekezete szerint éltem mint farizeus.

Kik tudják rólam eleitől fogva (ha bizonyságot akarnak tenni), hogy én a mi vallásunknak legszigorúbb felekezete szerint éltem, mint farizeus.

Which knew me from the beginning, if they would testify, that after the most straitest sect of our religion I lived a Pharisee.

Dacă vor să mărturisească, ei ştiu de la început că am trăit ca fariseu, după cea mai îngustă partidă a religiei noastre.

They have known for a long time, if they are willing to testify, that according to the strictest party of our religion I have lived as a Pharisee.

Most is a miatt a reménység miatt állok itt vád alatt, amelyet Isten atyáinknak ígért,

Most is az Istentől a mi atyáinknak tett ígéret reménységéért állok itt ítélet alatt:

And now I stand and am judged for the hope of the promise made of God, unto our fathers:

Şi acum sunt dat în judecată pentru nădejdea făgăduinţei pe care a făcut-o Dumnezeu părinţilor noştri

And now I stand here on trial because of my hope in the promise made by God to our fathers,

és amelynek beteljesedésében a mi tizenkét törzsünk éjjel-nappal buzgón szolgálva reménykedik. Ó, király, ezért a reménységért vádolnak engem a zsidók.

Melyre a mi tizenkét nemzetségünk, éjjel és nappal buzgón szolgálva reményli, hogy eljut; mely reménységért vádoltatom, Agrippa király, a zsidóktól.

Unto which promise our twelve tribes, instantly serving God day and night, hope to come. For which hope's sake, king Agrippa, I am accused of the Jews.

şi a cărei împlinire o aşteaptă cele douăsprezece seminţii ale noastre care slujesc necurmat lui Dumnezeu, zi şi noapte. Pentru această nădejde, împărate, sunt pârât eu de iudei!

to which our twelve tribes hope to attain, as they earnestly worship night and day. And for this hope I am accused by Jews, O king!

Miért találjátok hihetetlennek, hogy Isten halottakat támaszt fel?

Micsoda? Hihetetlen dolognak tetszik néktek, hogy Isten halottakat támaszt fel?

Why should it be thought a thing incredible with you, that God should raise the dead?

Ce? Vi se pare de necrezut că Dumnezeu învie morţii?

Why is it thought incredible by any of you that God raises the dead?

Egykor én magam is úgy véltem, hogy mindent meg kell tennem ama názáreti Jézus neve ellen.

Én bizonyára elvégeztem vala magamban, hogy ama názáreti Jézus neve ellen sok ellenséges dolgot kell cselekednem.

I verily thought with myself, that I ought to do many things contrary to the name of Jesus of Nazareth.

Şi eu, ce-i drept, credeam că trebuie să fac multe lucruri împotriva Numelui lui Isus din Nazaret,

“I myself was convinced that I ought to do many things in opposing the name of Jesus of Nazareth.

Meg is tettem Jeruzsálemben, és a szentek közül sokat börtönbe csukattam a főpapoktól kapott felhatalmazás alapján. Sőt amikor megölték őket, szavazatommal ehhez hozzájárultam.

Mit meg is cselekedtem Jeruzsálemben: és a szentek közül én sokat börtönbe vettettem, a főpapoktól való felhatalmazást megnyervén. Sőt mikor megölettetének, szavazatommal hozzájárultam.

Which thing I also did in Jerusalem: and many of the saints did I shut up in prison, having received authority from the chief priests; and when they were put to death, I gave my voice against them.

şi aşa am şi făcut în Ierusalim. Am aruncat în temniţă pe mulţi sfinţi, căci am primit puterea aceasta de la preoţii cei mai de seamă; şi, când erau osândiţi la moarte, îmi dădeam şi eu votul împotriva lor.

And I did so in Jerusalem. I not only locked up many of the saints in prison after receiving authority from the chief priests, but when they were put to death I cast my vote against them.

Minden zsinagógában sokszor büntetéssel kényszerítettem őket káromlásra, és szerfelett dühöngtem ellenük, még idegen városokban is üldöztem őket.

És minden zsinagógában gyakorta büntetvén őket, káromlásra kényszerítettem; és felettébb dühösködvén ellenök, kergettem mind az idegen városokig is.

And I punished them oft in every synagogue, and compelled them to blaspheme; and being exceedingly mad against them, I persecuted them even unto strange cities.

I-am pedepsit adesea în toate sinagogile şi îmi dădeam toată silinţa ca să-i fac să hulească. În pornirea mea nebună împotriva lor, îi prigoneam până şi în cetăţile străine.

And I punished them often in all the synagogues and tried to make them blaspheme, and in raging fury against them I persecuted them even to foreign cities.

Ilyen ügyben éppen útban voltam Damaszkusz felé a főpapoktól kapott felhatalmazással és engedéllyel.

E dologban épen útban lévén Damaskus felé a főpapoktól vett felhatalmazással és engedelemmel,

Whereupon as I went to Damascus with authority and commission from the chief priests,

În acest scop, m-am dus la Damasc, cu putere şi învoire de la preoţii cei mai de seamă.

“In this connection I journeyed to Damascus with the authority and commission of the chief priests.

Déltájban az úton azt láttam, ó, király, hogy a mennyből a napfénynél is ragyogóbb világosság sugároz körül engem és a velem együtt utazókat.

Délben látám az úton király, hogy mennyből a napnak fényességét meghaladó világosság sugárzott körül engem és azokat, kik velem együtt haladnak vala.

At midday, O king, I saw in the way a light from heaven, above the brightness of the sun, shining round about me and them which journeyed with me.

Pe la amiază, împărate, pe drum, am văzut strălucind împrejurul meu şi împrejurul tovarăşilor mei o lumină din cer, a cărei strălucire întrecea pe a soarelui.

At midday, O king, I saw on the way a light from heaven, brighter than the sun, that shone around me and those who journeyed with me.

Amikor pedig mindnyájan földre estünk, hangot hallottam, amely héber nyelven szólt hozzám, és ezt mondta: Saul, Saul, miért üldözöl engem? Nehéz neked az ösztöke ellen rugódoznod.

Mikor pedig mi mindnyájan leestünk a földre, hallék szózatot, mely én hozzám szól és ezt mondja vala zsidó nyelven: Saul, Saul, mit kergetsz engem? Nehéz néked az ösztön ellen rúgódoznod.

And when we were all fallen to the earth, I heard a voice speaking unto me, and saying in the Hebrew tongue, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.

Am căzut cu toţii la pământ; şi eu am auzit un glas care-mi zicea în limba evreiască: „Saule, Saule, pentru ce Mă prigoneşti? Îţi este greu să arunci cu piciorul înapoi în vârful unui ţepuş.”

And when we had all fallen to the ground, I heard a voice saying to me in the Hebrew language, ‘Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me? It is hard for you to kick against the goads.’

Én pedig azt kérdeztem: Ki vagy, Uram? Az Úr pedig azt mondta: Én vagyok Jézus, akit te üldözöl.

Én pedig mondék: Kicsoda vagy, Uram? És az monda: Én vagyok Jézus, a kit te kergetsz.

And I said, Who art thou, Lord? And he said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest.

„Cine eşti, Doamne?”, am răspuns eu. Şi Domnul a zis: „Eu sunt Isus pe care-L prigoneşti.

And I said, ‘Who are you, Lord?’ And the Lord said, ‘I am Jesus whom you are persecuting.

De kelj fel, és állj lábadra, mert azért jelentem meg neked, hogy szolgává és tanúvá rendeljelek téged arra nézve, amiket láttál, és amik miatt még meg fogok neked jelenni.

De kelj fel, és állj lábaidra: mert azért jelentem meg néked, hogy téged szolgává és bizonysággá rendeljelek úgy azokban, a miket láttál, mint azokban, a mikre nézve meg fogok néked jelenni ;

But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee;

Dar scoală-te şi stai în picioare; căci M-am arătat ţie, ca să te pun slujitor şi martor atât al lucrurilor pe care le-ai văzut, cât şi al lucrurilor pe care Mă vei vedea făcându-le.

But rise and stand upon your feet, for I have appeared to you for this purpose, to appoint you as a servant and witness to the things in which you have seen me and to those in which I will appear to you,

Megszabadítalak téged ettől a néptől és a pogányoktól, akik közé küldelek,

Megszabadítván téged e néptől és a pogányoktól, kik közé most küldelek,

Delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee,

Te-am ales din mijlocul norodului acestuia şi din mijlocul Neamurilor la care te trimit,

delivering you from your people and from the Gentiles—to whom I am sending you

hogy megnyisd a szemüket, hogy a sötétségből világosságra és a Sátán hatalmából Istenhez térjenek, hogy a bennem való hit által bűneik bocsánatát vegyék, és a megszenteltek között osztályrészt nyerjenek.

Hogy megnyissad szemeiket, hogy setétségből világosságra és a Sátánnak hatalmából az Istenhez térjenek, hogy bűneiknek bocsánatát és a megszenteltettek között osztályrészt nyerjenek az én bennem való hit által.

To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.

ca să le deschizi ochii, să se întoarcă de la întuneric la lumină, şi de sub puterea Satanei la Dumnezeu; şi să primească, prin credinţa în Mine, iertare de păcate şi moştenirea împreună cu cei sfinţiţi.”

to open their eyes, so that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me.’

Azért, Agrippa király, nem voltam engedetlen a mennyei látomás iránt,

Azért, Agrippa király, nem levék engedetlen a mennyei látás iránt;

Whereupon, O king Agrippa, I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision:

De aceea, împărate Agripa, n-am vrut să mă împotrivesc vedeniei cereşti.

“Therefore, O King Agrippa, I was not disobedient to the heavenly vision,

hanem először Damaszkuszban és Jeruzsálemben, majd Júdea egész tartományában, sőt a pogányok között is hirdettem az embereknek, hogy bánják meg bűneiket, és térjenek meg Istenhez, és a megtéréshez méltó cselekedeteket cselekedjenek.

Hanem először a Damaskusbelieknek és Jeruzsálembelieknek, majd Júdeának egész tartományában és a pogányoknak hirdettem, hogy bánják meg bűneiket és térjenek meg az Istenhez, a megtéréshez méltó cselekedeteket cselekedvén.

But shewed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judaea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance.

Ci am propovăduit întâi celor din Damasc, apoi în Ierusalim, în toată Iudeea şi la Neamuri, să se pocăiască şi să se întoarcă la Dumnezeu şi să facă fapte vrednice de pocăinţa lor.

but declared first to those in Damascus, then in Jerusalem and throughout all the region of Judea, and also to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, performing deeds in keeping with their repentance.

Ezért fogtak el a templomban, és ezért akartak a zsidók megölni.

Ezekért akartak engem megölni a zsidók, megfogván a templomban.

For these causes the Jews caught me in the temple, and went about to kill me.

Iată de ce au pus iudeii mâna pe mine în Templu şi au căutat să mă omoare.

For this reason the Jews seized me in the temple and tried to kill me.

De mivel Isten mind e mai napig megsegített, itt állok, és bizonyságot teszek kicsinynek és nagynak egyaránt, és semmit sem mondok azon kívül, amiről a próféták és Mózes is megmondták, hogy be fog teljesedni,

De Istentől segítséget vévén, mind e mai napig állok, bizonyságot tévén mind kicsinynek, mind nagynak, semmit sem mondván azokon kívül, a mikről mind a próféták megmondották, mind Mózes, hogy be fognak teljesedni:

Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come:

Dar, mulţumită ajutorului lui Dumnezeu, am rămas în viaţă până în ziua aceasta; şi am mărturisit înaintea celor mici şi celor mari, fără să mă depărtez cu nimic de la ce au spus Prorocii şi Moise că are să se întâmple;

To this day I have had the help that comes from God, and so I stand here testifying both to small and great, saying nothing but what the prophets and Moses said would come to pass:

hogy a Krisztusnak szenvednie kell, és mint aki elsőnek támadt fel a halottak közül, világosságot fog hirdetni ennek a népnek és a pogányoknak is.

Hogy a Krisztusnak szenvedni kell, hogy mint a halottak feltámadásából első, világosságot fog hirdetni e népnek és a pogányoknak.

That Christ should suffer, and that he should be the first that should rise from the dead, and should shew light unto the people, and to the Gentiles.

şi anume, că Hristosul trebuie să pătimească şi că, după ce va fi Cel dintâi din învierea morţilor, va vesti lumină norodului şi Neamurilor.”

that the Christ must suffer and that, by being the first to rise from the dead, he would proclaim light both to our people and to the Gentiles.”

Amikor pedig ezeket mondta a maga mentségére, Fesztusz hangosan így szólt: Bolond vagy te, Pál! A sok tudomány téged őrültségbe visz.

Mikor pedig ő ezeket mondá a maga mentségére, Festus nagy fenszóval monda: Bolond vagy te, Pál! A sok tudomány téged őrültségbe visz.

And as he thus spake for himself, Festus said with a loud voice, Paul, thou art beside thyself; much learning doth make thee mad.

Pe când vorbea el astfel ca să se apere, Festus a zis cu glas tare: „Pavele, eşti nebun! Învăţătura ta cea multă te face să dai în nebunie.”

And as he was saying these things in his defense, Festus said with a loud voice, “Paul, you are out of your mind; your great learning is driving you out of your mind.”

Ő pedig azt mondta: Nem vagyok én bolond, nagyra becsült Fesztusz, hanem igaz és józan beszédeket szólok.

Ő pedig monda: Nem vagyok bolond, nemes Festus, hanem igaz és józan beszédeket szólok.

But he said, I am not mad, most noble Festus; but speak forth the words of truth and soberness.

„Nu sunt nebun, preaalesule Festus”, a răspuns Pavel, „dimpotrivă, rostesc cuvinte adevărate şi chibzuite.

But Paul said, “I am not out of my mind, most excellent Festus, but I am speaking true and rational words.

Mivel tud ezekről a király, akihez bátran szólok, mert nem gondolom, hogy ezek közül előtte bármi is rejtve lenne, hiszen nem valami zugban történt dolgok ezek.

Mert tud ezekről a király, kihez bátorságosan is szólok: mert épen nem gondolom, hogy ezek közül ő előtte bármi is ismeretlen volna; mert nem valami zugolyában lett dolog ez.

For the king knoweth of these things, before whom also I speak freely: for I am persuaded that none of these things are hidden from him; for this thing was not done in a corner.

Împăratul ştie aceste lucruri şi de aceea îi vorbesc cu îndrăzneală; căci sunt încredinţat că nu-i este nimic necunoscut din ele, fiindcă nu s-au petrecut într-un colţ!

For the king knows about these things, and to him I speak boldly. For I am persuaded that none of these things has escaped his notice, for this has not been done in a corner.

Agrippa király, hiszel-e a prófétáknak? Tudom, hogy hiszel.

Hiszel-e, Agrippa király, a prófétáknak? Tudom, hogy hiszel.

King Agrippa, believest thou the prophets? I know that thou believest.

Crezi tu în Proroci, împărate Agripa?… Ştiu că crezi.”

King Agrippa, do you believe the prophets? I know that you believe.”

Agrippa pedig azt mondta Pálnak: Majdnem ráveszel engem, hogy keresztyénné legyek.

Agrippa pedig monda Pálnak: Majdnem ráveszel engem, hogy keresztyénné legyek.

Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Almost thou persuadest me to be a Christian.

Şi Agripa a zis lui Pavel: „Curând mai vrei tu să mă îndupleci să mă fac creştin!”

And Agrippa said to Paul, “In a short time would you persuade me to be a Christian?”

Pál így válaszolt: Kívánnám Istentől, hogy ne csak majdnem, hanem nagyon is, és ne csak te, hanem mindazok is, akik ma engem hallgatnak, olyanok lennének, amilyen én is vagyok e bilincsek nélkül.

Pál pedig monda: Kívánnám Istentől, hogy necsak majdnem, hanem nagyon is, ne csak te, hanem mindazok is, kik ma engem hallgatnak, lennétek olyanok, a minő én is vagyok, e bilincsektől megválva.

And Paul said, I would to God, that not only thou, but also all that hear me this day, were both almost, and altogether such as I am, except these bonds.

„Fie curând, fie târziu”, a răspuns Pavel, „să dea Dumnezeu ca nu numai tu, ci toţi cei ce mă ascultă astăzi să fiţi aşa cum sunt eu, afară de lanţurile acestea.”

And Paul said, “Whether short or long, I would to God that not only you but also all who hear me this day might become such as I am—except for these chains.”

Aztán felkelt a király, a helytartó, Bereniké és azok, akik velük együtt ültek.

És mikor ő ezeket mondá, felkele a király és a tiszttartó és Bernicé és a kik velük együtt ültek;

And when he had thus spoken, the king rose up, and the governor, and Bernice, and they that sat with them:

Împăratul, dregătorul, Berenice şi toţi cei ce şedeau împreună cu ei s-au sculat.

Then the king rose, and the governor and Bernice and those who were sitting with them.

Távozóban így beszélgettek egymás között: Semmi halálra vagy fogságra méltó dolgot nem tett ez az ember.

És visszavonultokban beszélgetnek vala egymással, mondván: Semmi halálra, vagy fogságra méltó dolgot nem cselekszik ez az ember.

And when they were gone aside, they talked between themselves, saying, This man doeth nothing worthy of death or of bonds.

Şi când au plecat, ziceau unii către alţii: „Omul acesta n-a făcut nimic vrednic de moarte sau de închisoare.”

And when they had withdrawn, they said to one another, “This man is doing nothing to deserve death or imprisonment.”

Agrippa pedig azt mondta Fesztusznak: Ezt az embert szabadon lehetne bocsátani, ha a császárhoz nem fellebbezett volna.

Agrippa pedig monda Festusnak: Ezt az embert szabadon lehetett volna bocsátani, ha a császárra nem appellált volna.

Then said Agrippa unto Festus, This man might have been set at liberty, if he had not appealed unto Caesar.

Şi Agripa a zis lui Festus: „Omului acestuia i s-ar fi putut da drumul, dacă n-ar fi cerut să fie judecat de cezar.”

And Agrippa said to Festus, “This man could have been set free if he had not appealed to Caesar.”
