Jó dolgot cselekedett az ÚR előtt, és atyjának, Dávidnak az útjain járt, nem hajolt el sem jobbra, sem balra.

És jó dolgot cselekedék az Úr előtt, és jára az ő atyjának Dávidnak útjain, és nem hajolt el sem jobbra, sem balra;

And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, and walked in the ways of David his father, and declined neither to the right hand, nor to the left.

And he did what was right in the eyes of the LORD, and walked in the ways of David his father; and he did not turn aside to the right hand or to the left.

Királyságának nyolcadik esztendejében, amikor még gyermek volt, keresni kezdte apjának, Dávidnak Istenét, tizenkettedik esztendejében pedig elkezdte megtisztítani Júdát és Jeruzsálemet a magaslatoktól, Aséráktól, faragott bálványoktól és öntött képektől.

Mert az ő királyságának nyolczadik esztendejében, mikor még gyermek volna, kezdé keresni az ő atyjának Dávidnak Istenét; tizenkettedik esztendejében pedig Júdát és Jeruzsálemet kezdé megtisztítani a magaslatoktól, Aseráktól, bálványoktól és öntött képektől.

For in the eighth year of his reign, while he was yet young, he began to seek after the God of David his father: and in the twelfth year he began to purge Judah and Jerusalem from the high places, and the groves, and the carved images, and the molten images.

În al optulea an al domniei lui, pe când era încă tânăr, a început să caute pe Dumnezeul tatălui său David. Şi în al doisprezecelea an, a început să cureţe Iuda şi Ierusalimul de înălţimi, de idolii Astarteii, de chipuri cioplite şi de chipuri turnate.

For in the eighth year of his reign, while he was yet a boy, he began to seek the God of David his father, and in the twelfth year he began to purge Judah and Jerusalem of the high places, the Asherim, and the carved and the metal images.

And they chopped down the altars of the Baals in his presence, and he cut down the incense altars that stood above them. And he broke in pieces the Asherim and the carved and the metal images, and he made dust of them and scattered it over the graves of those who had sacrificed to them.

Így cselekedett Manassé, Efraim és Simeon városaiban is egészen Naftáliig, azok romjain körös-körül.

And so did he in the cities of Manasseh, and Ephraim, and Simeon, even unto Naphtali, with their mattocks round about.

În cetăţile lui Manase, lui Efraim, lui Simeon şi chiar lui Neftali, pretutindeni, în mijlocul dărâmăturilor lor,

And in the cities of Manasseh, Ephraim, and Simeon, and as far as Naphtali, in their ruins all around,

Lerombolta az oltárokat, az Asérákat, a bálványszobrokat pedig mind porrá törette, és darabokra vágatott minden tömjénezőoltárt Izráel egész országában, azután visszatért Jeruzsálembe.

Lehányatá azért az oltárokat; az Aserákat és a bálványokat összetördelé mind porrá, és minden naposzlopot elpusztított Izráel egész földén; azután megtére Jeruzsálembe.

And when he had broken down the altars and the groves, and had beaten the graven images into powder, and cut down all the idols throughout all the land of Israel, he returned to Jerusalem.

Now in the eighteenth year of his reign, when he had purged the land, and the house, he sent Shaphan the son of Azaliah, and Maaseiah the governor of the city, and Joah the son of Joahaz the recorder, to repair the house of the LORD his God.

Now in the eighteenth year of his reign, when he had cleansed the land and the house, he sent Shaphan the son of Azaliah, and Maaseiah the governor of the city, and Joah the son of Joahaz, the recorder, to repair the house of the LORD his God.

And when they came to Hilkiah the high priest, they delivered the money that was brought into the house of God, which the Levites that kept the doors had gathered of the hand of Manasseh and Ephraim, and of all the remnant of Israel, and of all Judah and Benjamin; and they returned to Jerusalem.

They came to Hilkiah the high priest and gave him the money that had been brought into the house of God, which the Levites, the keepers of the threshold, had collected from Manasseh and Ephraim and from all the remnant of Israel and from all Judah and Benjamin and from the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

And they put it in the hand of the workmen that had the oversight of the house of the LORD, and they gave it to the workmen that wrought in the house of the LORD, to repair and amend the house:

And they gave it to the workmen who were working in the house of the LORD. And the workmen who were working in the house of the LORD gave it for repairing and restoring the house.

Adtak pénzt az ácsoknak és a kőműveseknek is, hogy vegyenek faragott köveket és fákat a gerendázatra és a termek beborítására, amelyeket Júda királyai hagytak tönkremenni.

Even to the artificers and builders gave they it, to buy hewn stone, and timber for couplings, and to floor the houses which the kings of Judah had destroyed.

They gave it to the carpenters and the builders to buy quarried stone, and timber for binders and beams for the buildings that the kings of Judah had let go to ruin.

And the men did the work faithfully: and the overseers of them were Jahath and Obadiah, the Levites, of the sons of Merari; and Zechariah and Meshullam, of the sons of the Kohathites, to set it forward; and other of the Levites, all that could skill of instruments of musick.

And the men did the work faithfully. Over them were set Jahath and Obadiah the Levites, of the sons of Merari, and Zechariah and Meshullam, of the sons of the Kohathites, to have oversight. The Levites, all who were skillful with instruments of music,

Also they were over the bearers of burdens, and were overseers of all that wrought the work in any manner of service: and of the Levites there were scribes, and officers, and porters.

were over the burden-bearers and directed all who did work in every kind of service, and some of the Levites were scribes and officials and gatekeepers.

Amikor kihozták az ÚR házában összegyűlt pénzt, megtalálta Hilkijjá pap az ÚR törvénykönyvét, amelyet Mózes által kaptak.

And when they brought out the money that was brought into the house of the LORD, Hilkiah the priest found a book of the law of the LORD given by Moses.

În clipa când au scos argintul care fusese adus în Casa Domnului, preotul Hilchia a găsit cartea Legii Domnului dată prin Moise.

While they were bringing out the money that had been brought into the house of the LORD, Hilkiah the priest found the Book of the Law of the LORD given through Moses.

And Hilkiah answered and said to Shaphan the scribe, I have found the book of the law in the house of the LORD. And Hilkiah delivered the book to Shaphan.

Then Hilkiah answered and said to Shaphan the secretary, “I have found the Book of the Law in the house of the LORD.” And Hilkiah gave the book to Shaphan.

And Shaphan carried the book to the king, and brought the king word back again, saying, All that was committed to thy servants, they do it.

Shaphan brought the book to the king, and further reported to the king, “All that was committed to your servants they are doing.

And they have gathered together the money that was found in the house of the LORD, and have delivered it into the hand of the overseers, and to the hand of the workmen.

They have emptied out the money that was found in the house of the LORD and have given it into the hand of the overseers and the workmen.”

Továbbá ezt is jelentette Sáfán kancellár a királynak: Hilkijjá pap egy könyvet adott nekem. Majd Sáfán fölolvasott belőle a király előtt.

Then Shaphan the scribe told the king, saying, Hilkiah the priest hath given me a book. And Shaphan read it before the king.

Majd ezt parancsolta a király Hilkijjá papnak és Ahikámnak, Sáfán fiának, Abdónnak, Míká fiának és a kancellárnak, Sáfánnak, valamint Aszájának, a király szolgájának:

And the king commanded Hilkiah, and Ahikam the son of Shaphan, and Abdon the son of Micah, and Shaphan the scribe, and Asaiah a servant of the king's, saying,

Menjetek el, és kérdezzétek meg az URat énértem meg Izráel és Júda maradékáért e könyv beszédei felől, amely előkerült. Mert nagy az ÚR haragja, amely ránk száll azért, mert atyáink nem tartották meg az ÚR beszédét, és nem úgy cselekedtek, amint e könyvben meg van írva.

Go, enquire of the LORD for me, and for them that are left in Israel and in Judah, concerning the words of the book that is found: for great is the wrath of the LORD that is poured out upon us, because our fathers have not kept the word of the LORD, to do after all that is written in this book.

„Duceţi-vă şi întrebaţi pe Domnul pentru mine şi pentru rămăşiţa lui Israel şi Iuda cu privire la cuvintele cărţii acesteia care s-a găsit. Căci mare mânie s-a vărsat peste noi din partea Domnului, pentru că părinţii noştri n-au ţinut cuvântul Domnului şi n-au împlinit tot ce este scris în cartea aceasta.”

“Go, inquire of the LORD for me and for those who are left in Israel and in Judah, concerning the words of the book that has been found. For great is the wrath of the LORD that is poured out on us, because our fathers have not kept the word of the LORD, to do according to all that is written in this book.”

Elment tehát Hilkijjá és a király embere Hulda prófétanőhöz, Sallumnak, Tokhat fiának, Haszrának, a ruhák gondnoka unokájának feleségéhez, aki Jeruzsálemben, az újvárosban lakott, és beszéltek vele erről.

And Hilkiah, and they that the king had appointed, went to Huldah the prophetess, the wife of Shallum the son of Tikvath, the son of Hasrah, keeper of the wardrobe; (now she dwelt in Jerusalem in the college:) and they spake to her to that effect.

So Hilkiah and those whom the king had sent went to Huldah the prophetess, the wife of Shallum the son of Tokhath, son of Hasrah, keeper of the wardrobe (now she lived in Jerusalem in the Second Quarter) and spoke to her to that effect.

ezt mondja az ÚR: Íme, veszedelmet hozok erre a helyre és lakosaira; mindazt az átkot, amely meg van írva abban a könyvben, amelyet felolvastak Júda királya előtt.

Ezt mondja az Úr: Ímé én veszedelmet hozok e helyre és ennek lakosira, mindazokat az átkokat, a melyek meg vannak írva a könyvben, a melyet felolvastak a Júda királya előtt;

Thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will bring evil upon this place, and upon the inhabitants thereof, even all the curses that are written in the book which they have read before the king of Judah:

„Aşa vorbeşte Domnul: „Iată, voi trimite nenorociri peste locul acesta şi peste locuitorii lui, şi anume toate blestemele scrise în cartea care s-a citit înaintea împăratului lui Iuda.

Thus says the LORD, Behold, I will bring disaster upon this place and upon its inhabitants, all the curses that are written in the book that was read before the king of Judah.

Mert elhagytak engem, és idegen isteneknek tömjéneztek, hogy engem haragra gerjesszenek kezük minden csinálmánya által. Felgerjedt haragom e hely ellen, és nem alszik ki.”

Because they have forsaken me, and have burned incense unto other gods, that they might provoke me to anger with all the works of their hands; therefore my wrath shall be poured out upon this place, and shall not be quenched.

And as for the king of Judah, who sent you to enquire of the LORD, so shall ye say unto him, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel concerning the words which thou hast heard;

But to the king of Judah, who sent you to inquire of the LORD, thus shall you say to him, Thus says the LORD, the God of Israel: Regarding the words that you have heard,

mivel meglágyult a szíved, és megaláztad magad Isten előtt, amikor meghallottad beszédét e hely és lakosai ellen, és megaláztad magad előttem, ruhádat megszaggattad, és sírtál előttem, én is meghallgattalak, ezt mondja az ÚR.

Mivel a te szíved meglágyult, és magadat megaláztad az Isten előtt, mikor hallád az ő beszédeit e hely ellen és az ő lakosai ellen; mivel magadat megaláztad előttem, és ruháidat megszaggattad és sírtál előttem: én is meghallgattalak, ezt mondja az Úr.

Because thine heart was tender, and thou didst humble thyself before God, when thou heardest his words against this place, and against the inhabitants thereof, and humbledst thyself before me, and didst rend thy clothes, and weep before me; I have even heard thee also, saith the LORD.

„Pentru că ţi s-a înduioşat inima, pentru că te-ai smerit înaintea lui Dumnezeu, când ai auzit cuvintele rostite de El împotriva acestui loc şi împotriva locuitorilor lui, pentru că te-ai smerit înaintea Mea, pentru că ţi-ai sfâşiat hainele şi ai plâns înaintea Mea, şi Eu am auzit – zice Domnul.

because your heart was tender and you humbled yourself before God when you heard his words against this place and its inhabitants, and you have humbled yourself before me and have torn your clothes and wept before me, I also have heard you, declares the LORD.

Íme, atyáid mellé kerülsz, és békességgel tesznek sírodba. Nem látja szemed azt a veszedelmet, amelyet e helyre és lakóira hozok.” Ezt a választ megvitték a királynak.

Ímé én téged a te atyáid közé takarítlak, és tétetel a te sírodba békességben, és nem látják a te szemeid azt a veszedelmet, a melyet én hozok e helyre és ennek lakóira. És e szerint beszélték el ezt a királynak.

Behold, I will gather thee to thy fathers, and thou shalt be gathered to thy grave in peace, neither shall thine eyes see all the evil that I will bring upon this place, and upon the inhabitants of the same. So they brought the king word again.

Iată, te voi strânge lângă părinţii tăi, vei fi adăugat în pace în mormântul tău şi nu vei vedea cu ochii tăi toate nenorocirile pe care le voi trimite peste locul acesta şi peste locuitorii lui.” Ei au adus împăratului răspunsul acesta.

Behold, I will gather you to your fathers, and you shall be gathered to your grave in peace, and your eyes shall not see all the disaster that I will bring upon this place and its inhabitants.’” And they brought back word to the king.

Majd a király fölment az ÚR házába, és vele együtt minden júdabeli férfi, Jeruzsálem lakói, a papok, a léviták és az egész nép apraja-nagyja, és felolvasta fülük hallatára a szövetség könyvének minden igéjét, amelyet az ÚR házában találtak.

És felméne a király az Úr házába, és ő vele Júdának minden férfiai, és Jeruzsálem lakosai, a papok, a Léviták és az egész nép kicsinytől fogva nagyig, és elolvasá fülök hallására a szövetség könyvének minden beszédeit, a melyet találtak vala az Úr házában.

And the king went up into the house of the LORD, and all the men of Judah, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and the priests, and the Levites, and all the people, great and small: and he read in their ears all the words of the book of the covenant that was found in the house of the LORD.

Apoi s-a suit la Casa Domnului cu toţi oamenii lui Iuda şi cu locuitorii Ierusalimului, cu preoţii şi leviţii şi cu tot poporul, de la cel mai mare până la cel mai mic. A citit înaintea lor toate cuvintele cărţii legământului care se găsise în Casa Domnului.

And the king went up to the house of the LORD, with all the men of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem and the priests and the Levites, all the people both great and small. And he read in their hearing all the words of the Book of the Covenant that had been found in the house of the LORD.

Azután felállt a király a helyére, és szövetséget kötött az ÚR előtt, hogy az URat fogják követni, és hogy parancsait, intéseit és rendeléseit teljes szívvel és lélekkel meg fogják tartani, és a szövetség igéi szerint cselekszenek, ahogy meg van írva abban a könyvben.

Azután felállván a király az ő helyén, fogadást tőn az Úr előtt, hogy ő az Urat követendi, és hogy parancsolatait, bizonyságtételeit és rendeléseit teljes szívéből és teljes lelkéből megőrzendi, cselekedvén a szövetség beszédeit, a melyek megirattak abban a könyvben.

And the king stood in his place, and made a covenant before the LORD, to walk after the LORD, and to keep his commandments, and his testimonies, and his statutes, with all his heart, and with all his soul, to perform the words of the covenant which are written in this book.

Împăratul stătea pe scaunul lui împărătesc şi a încheiat legământ înaintea Domnului, îndatorându-se să urmeze pe Domnul şi să păzească poruncile Lui, învăţăturile Lui şi legile Lui din toată inima şi din tot sufletul lui şi să împlinească cuvintele legământului scrise în cartea aceasta.

Megfogadtatta ezt a dolgot a Jeruzsálemből és Benjáminból valókkal. És Jeruzsálem lakói Istennek, atyáik Istenének szövetsége szerint cselekedtek.

És felfogadtatá e dolgot mindazokkal, a kik Jeruzsálemből és Benjáminból valók. És Jeruzsálem lakói az Istennek, az ő atyáik Istenének szövetsége szerint cselekedének.

And he caused all that were present in Jerusalem and Benjamin to stand to it. And the inhabitants of Jerusalem did according to the covenant of God, the God of their fathers.

Şi a făcut să intre în legământ toţi cei ce se aflau la Ierusalim şi în Beniamin. Şi locuitorii Ierusalimului au lucrat după legământul lui Dumnezeu, legământul Dumnezeului părinţilor lor.

Then he made all who were present in Jerusalem and in Benjamin join in it. And the inhabitants of Jerusalem did according to the covenant of God, the God of their fathers.

Majd elpusztított Jósiás minden utálatos bálványt Izráel fiainak egész földjéről, és minden Izráelben élőt arra kényszerített, hogy az ÚRnak, Istenüknek szolgáljon. És Jósiás egész életében nem szakadtak el az ÚRtól, atyáik Istenétől.

Akkor elpusztított Jósiás minden útálatos bálványt Izráel fiainak egész földjéről, és kényszeríte mindenkit, valaki találtatik vala Izráelben, hogy szolgáljon az Úrnak, az ő Istenöknek; [és] az ő egész életében nem szakadának el az Úrtól, atyáik Istenétől.

And Josiah took away all the abominations out of all the countries that pertained to the children of Israel, and made all that were present in Israel to serve, even to serve the LORD their God. And all his days they departed not from following the LORD, the God of their fathers.

Iosia a îndepărtat toate urâciunile din toate ţările copiilor lui Israel şi a făcut ca toţi cei ce se aflau în Israel să slujească Domnului Dumnezeului lor. În tot timpul vieţii lui, nu s-au abătut de la Domnul Dumnezeul părinţilor lor.

And Josiah took away all the abominations from all the territory that belonged to the people of Israel and made all who were present in Israel serve the LORD their God. All his days they did not turn away from following the LORD, the God of their fathers.
